Exterior painting of high-rise buildings is a challenging task. In our country, as well as in other countries of the world, this task is accomplished manually, which is risky and life-threatening for the workers. Researchers and industry experts are trying to find an automatic and robotic solution for the exterior painting of high-rise building walls. In this paper, we propose a solution to this problem. We design and implement a prototype for automatically painting the building walls' exteriors. A spray mechanism was introduced in the prototype that can move in four different directions (up-down and left-right). All the movements are achieved by using microcontroller-operated servo motors. Further, these components create a scope to upgrade the proposed remote-controlled system to a robotic system in the future. In the presented system, all the operations are controlled remotely from a smartphone interface. Bluetooth technology is used for remote communications. It is expected that the suggested system will improve productivity with better workplace safety.

Leptoquarks (LQs) can contribute to the magnetic and electric dipole moments of charged leptons, which the current experiments have measured with good accuracy. We revisit the parameter spaces of TeV-scale vector LQs that contribute to these observables and study how these models fare against the LHC bounds. We find that only $U_1$ and $V_2$ can explain the observed positive shift in $(a_\mu^{\rm exp} - a_\mu^{\rm SM})$ through a lepton chirality-flipping contribution with $\mathcal O(1)$ LQ-quark-lepton coupling. We calculate QED corrections to the semileptonic decays $H_1 \to H_2\ell^+\ell^-$ where $\ell=e, \mu$ and $H_{1,2}$ are hadrons. The soft and/or collinear divergences are regulated in a gauge-invariant manner and demonstrably cancel, leaving behind a finite residue that depends on the (infrared) momentum cutoff below which a photon is considered to be indistinguishable. On resuming, the said sensitivity reduces drastically, $\mathcal{i}$.$\mathcal{e}$., for the NLL result as compared to the NLO one. The overall correction is negative and its magnitude is larger for a lighter lepton. For $B \to K^{(*)}$ decays, the corrections improve the agreement for the differential distributions, while the behavior is more complicated for $\Lambda_b \to \Lambda^{(*)}$ decays. Rather intriguingly, the corrections serve to regenerate the tension for the lepton flavor universality observables $R_K$ and $R_{K^*}$., Comment: 27 pages, 9 figures

We investigate the possible sizes of all the CP-violating asymmetries offered by the angular distribution of rare decay $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda(\to p \pi^-) \ell^+\ell^-$ in the Standard Model and new physics scenarios motivated by the recent $b\to s \ell^+\ell^-$ anomalies. We work in a model-independent effective theory framework and discuss the sensitivity of CP asymmetries to new ${O}_{9,10}$ operators and their chirality flipped counterparts. We find that the size of many of the CP asymmetries can be at the level of a few percent in new physics scenarios consistent with current $b\to s\ell^+\ell^-$ data at a level of $1\sigma$. We determine the strange quark mass ($m_s$) and quark mixing element $\vert V_{us}\vert $, and their joint determination from the Cabibbo suppressed hadronic $\tau$ decays in various perturbative schemes. Compared to the previous analysis based on the optimal renormalization or the renormalization group summed perturbation theory (RGSPT) scheme, we have improved this analysis by replacing the theoretical longitudinal contributions with phenomenological parametrization, and the RGSPT coefficients are used for the dimension-4 Adler functions. The improved analysis results in the extraction of $m_s(2\,\mathrm{GeV})=98\pm19\,\mathrm{MeV}$ and $\vert V_{us}\vert=0.2191\pm0.0043$ from the RGSPT scheme., Comment: References added, tables corrected. A TeV scale leptoquark (LQ) is one of the promising explanations of the recent anomalies in the semileptonic decays of $B$ mesons. Among the various LQs, the vector $\rm{U}_1$ is capable of explaining the anomalies in both $R_{D^{(*)}}$ and $R_{K^{(*)}}$ observables. We use the current LHC data to put bounds on the parameter space of $\rm{U}_1$ relevant for the anomalies. Precise bounds are drawn by recasting the latest $\tau\tau$ and $\mu\mu$ searches by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations. We find that it is imperative to include the resonant production modes for obtaining limits in the low mass regions.
