Abstract

In recent days, the proliferation of several existing and new cyber-attacks pose an axiomatic threat to the stability of financial services. It is hard to predict the nature of attacks that can trigger a serious financial crisis. The unprecedented digital transformation to financial services has been accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic and it is still ongoing. Attackers are taking advantage of this transformation and pose a new global threat to financial stability and integrity. Many large organizations are switching from centralized finance (CeFi) to decentralized finance (DeFi) because decentralized finance has many advantages. Blockchain can bring big and far-reaching effects on the trustworthiness, safety, accessibility, cost-effectiveness, and openness of the financial sector. The present paper gives an in-depth look at how blockchain and federated learning (FL) are used in financial services. It starts with an overview of recent developments in both use cases. This paper explores and discusses existing financial service vulnerabilities, potential threats, and consequent risks. So, we explain the problems that can be fixed in financial services and how blockchain and FL could help solve them. These problems include data protection, storage optimization, and making more money in financial services. We looked at many blockchain-enabled FL methods and came up with some possible solutions that could be used in financial services to solve several challenges like cost-effectiveness, automation, and security control. Finally, we point out some future directions at the end of this study.

We have calculated the energy spectra for almost all the filling fractions in the Jain series low energy fundamental mode as well as higher energy modes using composite fermion theory. The nature of the low energy mode and higher energy mode is nearly identical to the roton mode. We have observed that, these series of filling fractions $\nu=\frac{n}{2pn+1}$ possess $n$ number of roton minima in their higher energy mode., Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures

Abstract

The pattern of uveitis changes over time with the emergence or identification of new uveitic entities. The aim of this prospective study was to obtain a correct incidence pattern and aetiology of uveitis cases seen in a uveitis clinic. We studied all new uveitic cases seen in a-one year period. A standard clinical protocol was followed for each case. Of the 465 new uveitic cases, anterior uveitis was most commonly encountered (170 cases, 36.5%), followed by posterior uveitis (132 cases, 28.4%), intermediate uveitis (92 cases, 19.8%) and panuveitis (71 cases, 15.3%). The aetiology remained undetermined in majority of the cases (58.7%): anterior uveitis (48.8%), posterior uveitis (45.45%), panuveitis (53.52%). The most common cause was collagen disease (29.4%) in anterior uveitis; toxoplasmosis (30.3%) in posterior uveitis; and Vogt-Koyanagi Harada′s disease (25.35%) in panuveitis.

Abstract

We have studied the partially spin-polarized fractional quantum Hall states using Chern Simon's theory and plasma picture proposed by Halperin. Using these theoretical techniques we have tried to find the stable polarized states of different filling fractions observed in experiments. We have calculated the ground state energies of those states and also pair correlation function. We have described the nature of the states by the behaviour of this quantity. In our study, we have seen that the partially polarized states, which do not fit with Jain's composite fermion description are basically the mixed state of up-spin liquid phase and down-spin solid phase.

Abstract

We have studied the collective excitation of fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) in the rotating Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) using CF theory at the filling fraction $\nu=1/2$. The roton type of excitation in the FQHE of electron system is established over the years for all the filling fraction, whereas the collective excitation at $\nu=1/2$ filling fraction in the rotating BEC shows no roton minimum. We have investigated this using composite fermion theory with the P$\ddot{o}$schl-Teller interaction potential between the particles. We have seen that the long range interaction will give the roton, whereas short range interaction gives no roton minimum.

Abstract

In a gray scale image the pixel value ranges from 0 to 255. But when we use pixel-value differencing (pvd) method as image steganographic scheme, the pixel values in the stego-image may exceed gray scale range. An adaptive steganography based on modified pixel-value differencing through management of pixel values within the range of gray scale has been proposed in this paper. PVD method is used and check whether the pixel value exceeds the range on embedding. Positions where the pixel exceeds boundary has been marked and a delicate handle is used to keep the value within the range. From the experimental it is seen that the results obtained in proposed method provides with identical payload and visual fidelity of stego-image compared to the pvd method., Comment: 10 pages,3 figures,The Second International Conference on Computer Science, engineering and Applications (CCSEA-2012), Delhi, India.
