Kuhli loach (Pangio kuhlii) a popular ornamental freshwater fish species with economic potential, originating from Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, and Malaysia. The kuhli loach's appeal lies in its vibrant colors and distinctive eel-like body. This study aims to explores the sexual primary and secondary characteristics of the kuhli loach. Conducted at Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi, Indonesia, the study involved a thorough analysis of 50 kuhli loaches, evenly split between males and females. Morphological observations revealed significant differences (p < 0.05), such as the elongated body and expanded abdominal region in females, suggesting adaptations for reproduction. Internal examinations, including peritoneal dissections and histological analysis, unveiled distinct stages of spermatogenesis in males and ovarian development in females, providing insights into the reproductive cycle. Meristic and morphometric analyses identified noteworthy differences in pectoral fin rays, suggesting potential roles in reproductive behavior, while other traits exhibited similarity between genders. This study contributes to the understanding of kuhli loach ecology and reproductive biology, highlighting the importance of addressing sustainability concerns arising from the continuous exploitation of wild populations. This study serves as a foundational step towards advancing reproductive improvement in fish and supports the conservation of this unique ornamental fish species, with implications for aquaculture practices and economic considerations.

This study aimed to determine chloramphenicol residues and bacterial contamination (Aerobic Plate Count-APC, Escherichia coli count, Salmonella sp., and Vibrio cholerae) in farmed African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) that are marketed in Banyuwangi, Indonesia. A total of ninety samples of C. gariepinus were collected from several markets in Banyuwangi, namely, Kertosari, Blambangan, and Banyuwangi Kota. Using standard procedures, APC, E. coli count, Salmonella sp., V. cholerae, and chloramphenicol residues were determined. 36.37% of samples from Kertosari markets; 23.33% of samples from Banyuwangi Kota markets; and 16.67% of samples from Blambangan markets contained chloramphenicol residues, but less than 0.3 ppb. Only 40% of samples from Kertosari markets, 36.67% of samples from Banyuwangi Kota markets, and 26.67% of samples from Blambangan markets were contaminated by E. coli, but were less than 3 MPNg-1. The highest APC was from Banyuwangi Kota, followed by Kertosari and Blambangan. No samples were contaminated by Salmonella sp. and V. cholerae from any of the markets, and there was no significant difference between all markets in APC, E. coli count, or chloramphenicol residues. All farmed catfish marketed in Banyuwangi were safe to eat because no samples exceeded the maximum chloramphenicol residue and bacterial contaminant standards. Further studies are needed to detect other antibiotic residues used in aquaculture, including tetracycline, sulphonamide, enrofloxacin, and nitrofuran.

This research employs social media (Twitter) to apply sentiment analysis ascertain the degree of public satisfaction with the Bulukumba tourist attraction. Unstructured text data is a major challenge in sentiment analysis. For this reason, implementing the Naïve Bayes algorithm is an effective approach for conquering this challenge because of its ability to handle text data well. This study aims to evaluate the performance of multinomial Naïve Bayes by testing a combination of minimum document frequency (min-df) and maximum document frequency (max-df) parameter values in determining the level of accuracy. This analysis stage includes collecting data from Twitter related to the Bulukumba tourist attraction. Preprocessing carried out includes data cleaning, casefolding, text normalization, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. Feature extraction using Count Vectorizer and TF-IDF weighting. The process ends with 10-Fold Cross-Validation by separating the data into training data and test data for sentiment analysis classification, as well as evaluation using the Confusion Matrix. In this research, there are 10 test scenarios with various combinations of min-df and max-df. The values of employed min-df consists of 0.001, 0.002, 0.005, 0.01, 0.02 and max-df consists of 0.5 and 0.8. The results of implementing Multinomial Naïve Bayes in this test show that classification accuracy increases with effective min-df and max-df parameter settings. The greatest accuracy was 0.7910 in testing a combination of min-df parameter values of 0.001 and max-df 0.8. Meanwhile, the average accuracy for each test was obtained the highest value of 0.7272 with min-df of 0.002 and max-df of 0.5 and 0.8 respectively.

Background: The preservation of semen quality and kinematic characteristics during cryopreservation is crucial for the reproductive success and genetic management of livestock, particularly in Bali bulls. Aim: This study aimed to investigate the effect of adding purified green tea extract antioxidant Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) in tris egg yolk diluent on the quality and kinematic characteristics of frozen semen from Bali bulls. Methods: Fresh and frozen semen samples were obtained from Bali bull and divided into four different treatment groups. P0 contained semen samples + diluent, while P1 to P3 consisted of semen samples + diluent supplemented with EGCG levels of 0.1 mg/100 mL, 0.15 mg/100 mL, and 0.2 mg/100 mL, respectively. Data were analyzed using One-way ANOVA and followed by Duncan's test if significant differences were found (p [Open Vet J 2024; 14(8.000): 2040-2048]

This study aimed to identify compounds in the fruits of the medicinal Eriobotrya japonica L, determine anti-apoptotic properties in human breast cancer cells and predict the mechanism via docking and bioinformatic analyses. HPLC-ESI-HRMS/MS metabolite profiling of E. japonica ethanolic extract allowed the identification of eight compounds. Subsequent network pharmacology and molecular docking simulations targeting key cancer-related proteins showed excellent predictive activity (Pa > 0.71) for seven of the compounds. Two of the compounds hyperoxide (C6) and afzelin (C8) showed strong affinities with inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and beta-1 adrenergic receptor-β (ADRB1) with ΔG of −11.5 and −12.1, respectively. Radical scavenging data showed compound C8 (EC50 89.1 µg/mL, ABTS+•; 96.1 µg/mL, DPPH) was the most active in relation to other compounds and the extract (EC50 115.5 µg/mL, ABTS+•; 101.5 µg/mL, DPPH). The cytotoxicity (LD50) was 96.1–178.9 µg/mL) for cancerous MCF-7 cells compared to 1,105-2,066 µg/mL for normal MCF-10A cells.

This study aimed to evaluate the performance level of agribusiness actors by applying the basic price of Arabica coffee in North Toraja Regency and to determine the role and relationship between the subsystems involved. This research used qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. Data analysis techniques used interpretive structural modeling (ISM) to determine the key factors in the agribusiness institutional system and used importance–performance analysis (IPA) to measure each institution’s performance level. The performance of Arabica coffee agribusiness actors in North Toraja Regency revealed that the actors who have high interests and low performance included farmers, agrochemical industries, companies, collecting traders, agricultural extension workers, and the agriculture office. By contrast, the actors with high interest and good performance include the Department of Agriculture, companies, coffee shops, and farmer groups. Moreover, the actors with low stakes and low performance included farmer groups, MSMEs, and coffee shops. At the same time, the actors with low interest and good performance included the agromechanical industry, farmers, and cooperatives. The findings were used to map the actors with the most important role in the agribusiness system and the linkages between Arabica coffee subsystems in the North Toraja Regency.

Enterprise risk management (ERM) is a crucial aspect of corporate operations. This study examines the impact of environmental uncertainty, industry competition, and firm complexity on Enterprise Risk Management implementation and firm performance in the Southeast Asian mining industry. Utilizing data from 205 mining companies listed on Southeast Asian stock exchanges from 2016 to 2022, the analysis employs panel data regression methods. The findings reveal that environmental uncertainty does not significantly affect ERM, while industry competition positively influences ERM but negatively impacts firm performance. Firm complexity positively affects both ERM and performance. ERM mediates the relationships between industry competition, firm complexity, and performance, while intellectual capital moderates the effect of ERM on performance. These results underscore the strategic importance of integrating ERM practices and developing intellectual capital to enhance firm performance amidst competitive and complex business environments. The study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the nuanced relationships between these variables in the context of the Southeast Asian mining sector and offers practical insights for policymakers and industry leaders.

The tiger barb (Puntius tetrazona) is a freshwater ornamental fish native to Indonesia, predominantly found in Sumatra and Kalimantan. This research investigated the mass induction of tiger barb propagation through the hormone immersion method using Ovaprim, aiming to optimize its dosage for improved reproductive outcomes. The study systematically evaluated different hormone doses, ranging from 0.0 to 2.0 mL/L, and assessed critical parameters including latency period, total egg production, fertilization rate, hatching rate, and larval survival rate. The results revealed dose-dependent effects, with 1.5 mL/L as the optimal dosage. This concentration resulted in a latency period of 5.50 ± 0.83 h, total egg yield of 448.00 ± 35.18, fertilization rate of 99.04 ± 0.49%, hatching rate of 96.40 ± 1.73%, and larval survival rate of 95.52 ± 1.05%. This study provides valuable insights for the aquaculture industry, offering optimum parameters for the mass propagation induction in tiger barbs using Ovaprim immersion. This study does not only highlight the effectiveness of Ovaprim immersion but also underscores its potential as a powerful tool to improve breeding protocols and address the growing demand for ornamental fish.

The use of listening journals is a useful pedagogy tool that will be applied in the classroom activities. Listening journal is a tool to promote the varieties of English of speakers from any cultural background. The aims of the study (1) to extend awareness of English varieties in the ELT class, (2) To extend listening journals reflected awareness of existing English varieties in ELT, (3) to describe students’ attitudes towards English varieties. The methodology is a qualitative research method. The sample of the study is the students of the English Education Study Program located in Palembang South Sumatera, Indonesia. The total sample are students of the English Education Study Program located in Palembang South Sumatera, Indonesia. The researchers use intake sampling techniques to select the sample. All the participants will be used as a sample. The interview and reflection will be measured to answer the problems of the study. Thematic analysis will be used to analyze the data.

Obesity, a global issue, is linked to cardiometabolic syndrome. Dietary modification is one of the recommended modes for managing cardiometabolic syndrome. Strawberries, a functional food, and kombucha, a fermented tea beverage, have gained attention for their health benefits. This study investigated the bioactive components of strawberry kombucha drink (SKD) and their effects on antioxidant activities and improving metabolic disorder markers. An in vitro experiment was performed to determine the effect of SKD on enzymatic parameters: lipase, α-glucosidase, and α-amylase activities. In addition, antioxidant activity using the DPPH method and quantification of the radical scavenging activity were also measured. Furthermore, untargeted metabolomic profiling of SKD and molecular docking simulation were conducted. The findings suggest that SKD, rich in secondary metabolites, can inhibit lipase, α-glucosidase, and α-amylase activities. It demonstrated in vitro anti-obesity, anti-diabetic, and antioxidant properties, potentially reducing metabolic and inflammatory issues. Thus, SKD could be a therapeutic beverage to alter metabolic issues associated with obesity. Nevertheless, further preclinical study is warranted to determine SKD’s potential in vivo.

Betta rubra, classified as endangered fish species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), has been successfully bred and raised in captivity for two generations under laboratory conditions. This study aimed to provide comprehensive information on the captive breeding of B. rubra, focusing on various parameters crucial for ex-situ conservation and domestication. The research involved breeding trials, embryo and larvae observation, first feeding experiments, larva and fry rearing trials, and the evaluation of growth and reproduction in two generations. The study revealed that the female B. rubra, with an average total length of 5.17 ± 0.15 cm and weight of 1.61 ± 0.06 g, produced an average of 73.67 ± 7.09 eggs, 34.33 ± 5.13 total larvae, and exhibited a hatching rate of 46.67 ± 5.77%. The embryogenesis process commenced on the day of spawning (dps) and continued until the eggs hatched at 6 dps. Larvae development and yolk absorption occurred from 0 to 6 days post-hatching (dph).The study also examined the impact of different initial feeding options, with chopped Tubifex resulting in the most significant increase (p < 0.05) in length. The growth pattern of B. rubra larvae showed slow initial growth during the first seven days, followed by a rapid exponential growth phase from day 8 to day 39. Two generations of B. rubra (G1 and G2) were successfully bred in captivity, with G2 showing a better tendency for growth in length and weight compared to G1. Notably, there were no significant differences (p > 0.05) in reproductive success between the wild-origin broodstock (G0), G1, or G2. This research contributes valuable insights into the captive breeding of B. rubra and its early life stages, offering critical information for the conservation and sustainable management of this endangered species. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of domestication on behavior, physiology, and phenotypic diversity.

ABSTRACT. Mengetahui karakteristik bahan berdasarkan sifat fisik dan kimia adalah sangat penting, agar dalam perancangan dan penarikan kesimpulan penelitian lebih akurat. Terutama penelitian dedak padi yang mempunyai kualitas yang beragam karena sangat ditentukan oleh metode dan mesin pada proses penggilingan gabah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik dedak padi berdasarkan fraksi dan campurannya dengan sekam padi dengan berbagai metode evaluasi. Penelitian menggunakan dedak padi galur lokal unggul Banowati dari Desa Sindangsari, Sumedang. Penelitian tahap pertama untuk mengetahui karakteristik dedak padi berdasarkan fraksi ukuran partikel menggunakan saringan dengan mesh 10, 20, 30, 40 dan 50. Tahap kedua untuk mengetahui karakteristik campuran dedak padi dan sekam dengan proporsi 100, 75, 50, 25 dan 0 % dengan ukuran lolos mesh 30. Parameter yang diukur adalah Persentase ukuran partikel, gambaran visual, densitas, porositas, kandungan nutrien dan kandungan lignin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi dedak padi berdasarkan ukuran partikel/mesh mempunyai karakteristik yang berbeda, perbedaan tersebut pada komposisi, kandungan nutrien, lignin, densitas dan porositas. Protein kasar mesh 30 sebesar 13,41%, mesh 40 sebesar 13,08%, dan mesh 50 sebesar 13,60. Uji lignin mesh 30, 40, dan 50 menunjukkan warna coklat terang. Berdasarkan sifat fisik dan kimia dedak padi lolos mesh 30, 40 dan 50 yang terbaik. Dedak padi yang dicampur dengan sekam padi yang semakin tinggi, maka semakin rendah nilai nutrien, kandungan lignin semakin tinggi, densitas dan porositas nya semakin tinggi. (Characterization of rice bran and rice husk mixture based on physical and chemical properties) ABSTRAK. Knowing the characteristics of materials based on their physical and chemical properties is very important for designing and drawing research conclusions more accurately. Especially rice bran research, which has a variety of quality because it is determined by the method and machine in the grain milling process. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of rice bran based on its fraction and mixture with rice husks using various evaluation methods. The study used Banowati superior local strain rice bran from Sindangsari, Sumedang Village. The first stage of research was to determine the characteristics of rice bran based on particle size fractions using sieves with meshes of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. The second stage is to determine the characteristics of a mixture of rice bran and husk with proportions of 100, 75, 50, 25, and 0% with a mesh pass size of 30. The parameters measured are particle size percentage, visual image, density, porosity, nutrient content, and lignin content. The results showed that rice bran factions based on particle or mesh size have different characteristics, including differences in composition, nutrient content, lignin, density, and porosity. Crude protein mesh 30 is 13.41%, mesh 40 is 13.08%, and mesh 50 is 13.60. Lignin mesh assays 30, 40, and 50 show a light brown color. Based on the physical and chemical properties of rice bran, meshes 30, 40, and 50 are the best. The higher the rice bran mixed with rice husks, the lower the nutrient value, and the higher the lignin content, the higher the density and porosity.

Barred loach Nemacheilus fasciatus are unable to reproduce naturally in captivity due to the lack of environmental cues and gonadal maturation occurs slower than in the wild. To optimize breeding procedures for this fish species, we determined whether hormone application via the gills was an effective process and assessed hormone dosage treatments. Oodev™ was used to induce gonadal maturation and Ovaprim™ was used to induce spawning via a topical gill approach. Multiple maturation parameters such as gonadal-somatic index (GSI) and hepatosomatic index (HSI), fecundity, and egg diameter; and spawning parameters such as latency period, egg produce, fertilization rate (FR), hatching rate (HR), survival rate (SR) were recorded and compared between the hormone dosage treatments and control treatment. Both the Oodev™ gonadal maturation induction and Ovaprim™ spawning induction were effectively applied to barred loach via topical gill application. Gonadal maturation parameters were positively correlated with dosage and all were significantly different. Fry survival rate was not different between doses. The optimal dose of Oodev™ (0.75 µL/g fish) resulted in male GSI of 5.334 ± 0.320%, female GSI of 15.501 ± 0.675%, male HSI of 0.416 ± 0.023%, female HSI of 1.670 ± 0.104%, egg fecundity 4584.20 ± 493.216 eggs, egg diameter 0.964 ± 0.0151 mm. Ovaprim™ optimal dosage (3.00 µL/g female and 1.50 µL/g male) was resulted latency period 11.05 ± 0.52 hours, egg produced 3504.83 ± 358.57, FR 96.77 ± 0.88%, HR 83.62 ± 3.78%, and SR 91.44 ± 2.53%.

Landslides occur when masses of rock, debris or soil move due to various factors and processes that cause land movement. The Taba Penanjung-Kepahiang route is one of the areas in Bengkulu Province that is highly prone to landslides. This causeway is the only fastest land route connecting the Bengkulu-Kepahiang area. In recent years, the road area has often been cut off due to landslides and fallen trees, which have caused road access to be cut off and obstructed and claimed lives. This study uses a Machine Learning (ML) and GIS approach with Variable Frequency Ratio using 16 independent factors obtained from the spatial database and DEM, which correlate with landslide events. This research aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the factors that cause landslides. In addition, the research focus is the development of a Disaster Mitigation Model to design and implement effective strategies to reduce the risk and impact of landslide disasters through in-depth analysis The dependent factor is the location of the landslide from the historical landslide area for the last five years, with a distribution of 70/30%. Furthermore, frequency ratio is used to analyze the correlation between conditioning factors and historical landslides. Then, the independent and dependent factors were normalized to create a landslide susceptibility map. Frequency Ratio (FR) indicates the likelihood of an event occurring, with drainage density (FR= 0.69), shear wave velocity (Vs30) (FR= 0.66), slope (FR= 0.60), and rainfall (FR= 0.55). The output of the processed data is in the table below.

The accurate prediction and prevention of earthquakes remains challenging. Consequently, the primary approach to mitigate the impact of earthquakes is through disaster risk reduction efforts. One significant strategy involves conducting seismic vulnerability analyses based on disaster scenarios. This study aims to identify and map areas with varying levels of seismic vulnerability, analyzing the factors contributing to vulnerability in the South Bengkulu Regency. Secondary data, including peak ground acceleration (PGA) values, were collected, along with microtremor data obtained through the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method. The recorded microtremor data serve as input parameters for PGA, Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI), Seismic Vulnerability Index (Kg), shear wave velocity (Vs), and the time-averaged shear wave velocity for the first 30 m depths (Vs30) values. The findings reveal that, overall, seismic vulnerability in the South Bengkulu Regency can be categorized as low. However, specific areas, particularly in the southwestern and northeastern zones, exhibit relatively higher levels of vulnerability. The heightened vulnerability in these areas is attributed to elevated PGA values, despite the region's generally high soil density, which acts as a mitigating factor against earthquake threats.

This research aimed to determine the social, economic, and environmental impact of Saddang River sand mining on local communities and the Pinrang district government. Primary data collection used field surveys to obtain supporting data on economic aspects consisting of production capacity, costs, selling price of sand at the miner level and market price at the consumer level, number of grains, and various other economic values such as indirect value and indirect use value. The primary data collection method uses a total sampling of 80 miners operating in the research area. Consumer data uses a field survey method with 8 hours of observation per day. Saddang River sand mining provides great socio-economic value and environmental impact, directly or indirectly. This significant socio-economic value and impact, if not accompanied by good management, can result in over-exploitation, which impacts the physical and ecological damage of the Saddang River. On the other hand, the high rate of sedimentation from upstream of the Saddang River results in shallowing, so sand mining activities help normalize the Saddang River. Therefore, to continue providing economic benefits and the Saddang River to avoid physical and ecological damage due to mining activities, sustainable management of Saddang River sand mining is needed.

This study aimed to identify the environmental impact on cocoa production and processing based on the life cycle assessment method (LCA). The major contribution of this study is to evaluate the environmental performance of a chocolate liquor in order to reveal the significant environmental hotspots along the entire supply chain. This is achieved through two main steps. First, the LCA method is applied to identify the environmental implications of managing the production and processing cocoa to become chocolate liquor. The LCA is performed based on the international ISO 14040–14043 series. Secondly, a sensitivity analysis was carried out to evaluate the impact of five proposed improvement options to discover whether any occurring potential environmental impacts will be reduced. The kind of scenarios are: reducing pesticides by 50 % (option 1); using compost instead of fertilizer (option 2); avoid burning stubble (option 3), conserving soil water (option 4) and applying alternative energy sources (option 5). As a result, the most significant environmental impact for the upstream and core processing was human toxicity potential (HTP) and cumulative energy demand (CED), 89 % and 59 %, respectively. In addition, the impact of the proposed improvement has significantly reduced environmental impacts (HTP, 68 %) and achieved savings (IDR 18800, 17.7 %). Survey data includes the entire supply chain, with a detailed focus on production and processing stages for an Indonesian chocolate company. This study only dealt with cocoa beans that generated 1 kg of chocolate liquor.

Perkembangan wilayah serta peningkatan jumlah penduduk mengakibatkan standar kualitas dan kuantitas kebutuhan hidup manusia meninggi. Sehingga kebutuhan ketersediaan lahan bangunan dalam memenuhi fasilitas masyarakat semakin tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tutupan lahan kawasan terbangun dengan skala besar sebagai peta dasar dalam rekomendasi pembuatan Rencana Detail Tata Ruang Kecamatan Mataram. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah klasifikasi berbasis objek, klasifikasi point cloud, dan skalogram. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pembangunan daerah tahun 2005 sampai 2018 di Kecamatan Mataram dibagi menjadi 3 Hirarki. Serta terdapat 4 kelurahan yang tidak mengalami kenaikan dan tetap berada di Hirarki III (rendah-rendah), sedangkan yang mengalami kenaikan menjadi Hirarki II (rendah-sedang) sebanyak 3 kelurahan dan kenaikan menjadi Hirarki I dari Hirarki II (sedang – baik) sebanyak 2 kelurahan. Dari hasil tingkat perkembangan wilayah dengan zona kepadatan kawasan terbangun di Kecamatan Mataram, Kelurahan Pagutan Barat dan Pagesangan Timur yang memiliki kepadatan yang tinggi ternyata memiliki status Hirarki I. Hal tersebut menunjukkan fasilitas umum dan aksesibilitas yang terdapat di Kelurahan Pagutan Barat dan Pagesangan Timur telah memadai dengan banyaknya eksisting bangunan dan tingkat kepadatan yang ada. Rekomendasi untuk pola spasial terperinci di Kecamatan Mataram dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 10 zona, di mana pola spasial dengan permukiman kepadatan menengah dominan pada 36%.

Many empirical studies have explored the relationship between religious identity, fundamentalism, and prejudice. However, very few investigations have been conducted into whether the relationship between fundamentalism and religious identity generates prejudice; this is because fundamentalism is often seen as a particular form of religious identity. This research positions religious identity and fundamentalism as two separate things, stemming from an awareness of contemporary developments that a fundamentalist does not always display “hard” or “extreme” expressions of religious identity. This study also analyzes the two within the context of a mutually explanative relationship (Religious identity → Fundamentalism, and Fundamentalism → Religious identity). 639 Islamic college students (372 males, 267 females) recruited with convenience sampling method participated in this study. Using a correlational design, the data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis to determine the role of gender, age, and religious fundamentalism in predicting prejudice. Furthermore, mediation analysis was carried out twice, by placing fundamentalism and religious identity, exchangeably, as mediating variables to predict prejudice. Results showed that (1) Age and gender did not significantly contribute to the prejudice. However, the prejudice can be predicted by religious identity and fundamentalism, (2) Fundamentalism is a mediator between religious identity and prejudice, (3) Religious identity is a mediator between fundamentalism and prejudice. This finding indicates that inter-religious prejudice can emerge as a reflection of both (1) fundamentalism through religious identity, as well as (2) religious identity through fundamentalism. The use of mediation analysis in this research sheds light on the complex interplay between religious identity, fundamentalism, and prejudice. It reveals that both fundamentalism and religious identity can mediate the relationship between each other and prejudice. This insight into the mediation processes can help researchers and policymakers better understand the mechanisms behind inter-religious prejudice.

This method introduces a methodological approach for comprehensively analyzing COVID-19 outbreaks using Gaussian pulse models to assess transmission rates. Our methodology is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the intricate dynamics underlying the spread of COVID-19. By incorporating Gaussian pulse models into our approach, we capture temporal and spatial outbreaks' characteristics with high precision. This method provides a detailed overview of our methodological approach, underscoring its potential to revolutionize our comprehension of COVID-19 outbreak dynamics. • Our methodology involves the application of Gaussian pulse models to the transmission rate estimation. • Parameter estimation in epidemic modeling involves adjusting key factors like transmission rate, and effective reproduction number to best match observed data. • We use Microsoft Excel's Solver add-in with the GRG algorithm to find the best parameter values, improving the data fit.

This study aims to analyze fluctuations and disparity in broiler and carcass prices before, during, and after COVID-19 pandemic in five broiler-producing regions in Indonesia, including North Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi. Weekly data series were used to analyze fluctuations and disparity before (2017–February 2020), during (March 2020–2022), and after (January–June 2023) COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Coefficient of variation (CV) and convergence models were also used during the analysis. The results showed that broiler price fluctuations in the five study areas were categorized as “medium” before and during pandemic. After pandemic, the majority of the areas were in the “low” category, except for South Sulawesi province, where CV was 10.02%. Carcass price fluctuations were categorized as “low” and “moderate” before and during COVID-19 pandemic. After the viral outbreak, all the provinces investigated in this study were classified as “low”. This indicated that the variability in carcass price decreased across all provinces after pandemic. The coefficient value of β1 was less than 1 indicating that broiler and carcass price did not show significant disparity between regions at all periods. The primary drivers of fluctuations and disparity were related to production and availability factors, and the government played a role in maintaining stability in producing areas.

Visiting tourist villages has become an alternative tourism trend favored by both domestic and international tourists. This trend is driven by tourists’ desire to gain new experiences and discover unique and distinctive natural and cultural attractions. Cireundeu Traditional Village is an increasingly visited destination, especially by students, university students, and academics. The management of these tourist villages is based on community involvement, known as Community-Based Tourism (CBT), where the participation of the local community is essential. This research aims to explore and analyze how the organizational communication of the Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) is carried out with mentors, fellow administrators, and the community in the context of managing the Cireundeu Traditional Village. The research seeks to identify communication patterns, obstacles, and the effectiveness of the communication strategies implemented. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with members of the Pokdarwis, mentors, administrators, and local community members. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify key patterns and themes in organizational communication based on local wisdom. The results show that Pokdarwis’ organizational communication is mostly acquired autodidactically. They can effectively understand and implement organizational communication functions and flows based on local wisdom. The Pokdarwis can communicate vertically, horizontally, and diagonally with mentors, fellow administrators, and the community. They can also express ideas and views, inform, empathize, and coordinate in the management of the Cireundeu Traditional Village. The organizational communication behavior of the Pokdarwis is based on local wisdom communication traditions, which include the principles of mutual learning, caring, nurturing, and sharing. It also involves relational foundations such as compassion for others, respect for lineage, etiquette, courteous behavior, and self-control.

This study investigated teachers' and students' reflection on the problem of writing narrative text in a remote area. The data were taken from 30 students and 15 EFL teachers from purposely selected schools that have reputations of being the best and largest school in the Sikka regency using written test to find out the students’ abilities in writing narrative text. The researcher used questionnaire to collect the data regarding student experiences and experiences. The finding indicated grammatical aspect as the biggest student’s problem (25 errors), the mechanic aspect of writing revealed 24 errors, 23 errors in vocabulary aspect, writing content revealed 20 errors, writing organization revealed 20 errors. The problems raised when students started to put words on paper, students forgot their storytelling abilities: students couldn’t think of topics; omitted relevant details, but go on and on about irrelevant ones; their dialogue was bland; couldn’t figure out how to start and how to end. Grammar and vocabulary were mostly performed in writing activities, most teachers used 50-minute time allocations for writing practices and pictures to pictures model was mostly adopted by teachers.

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global burden and a leading cause of mortality due to infectious diseases worldwide. In 2020, 845,000 new TB cases (312 per 100,000 population) were diagnosed, with 96,000 deaths, including 4,700 deaths of TB with HIV. Tuberculosis typically affects the lungs, but it can also affect other organs, a condition termed extrapulmonary TB. In 2020, 16% of all TB cases had extrapulmonary manifestations.1 The first case of TB affecting the skin was reported in 1826.2,3 There are many types of cutaneous TB; one of the most common is scrofuloderma, more often found in children and young adults.4 Scrofuloderma starts with a lesion in a lymph node, bone, muscle, or tendon that spreads to the skin.5 The lesion progresses very slowly and is usually not painful. Therefore, many patients wait to seek treatment until an advanced stage, leading to poor prognosis.3 In this report, we present a case of a severely malnourished one-year-old girl with scrofuloderma.

The media utilized in the teaching and learning process should adapt to the circumstances and settings, as well as be compatible with the abilities of the students. The media industry has a common need for creative men and women who can effectively communicate information and ideas via words and visuals. This study was aimed to found out: whether or not there were an influence of interaction among picture series, motivation and gender toward speaking achievement. Method of this research used quantitative with factorial 2x2x2 design approach. There were 60 students as sample, 30 students for experimental group and 30 students for control group. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling., the data were collected by using speaking test and questionnaires. To verify the hypotheses, the data were analyzed by using three-way ANAVA. Based on the data analysis, the result of three-way ANAVA showed that the interaction between: 1) the experiment and control classes obtained significant values = 0.001 < 0.05, the first hypothesis was acceptable, 2) the male and female genders obtained significant values = 0.367 > 0.05, the second hypothesis cannot be accepted, 3) high and low motivation obtained significant value = 0.085 > 0.05, the third hypothesis is unacceptable, 4) class and gender obtained significant value = 0.820 > 0.05, the fourth hypothesis is not acceptable, 5) class and motivation obtained Significant value = 0.669 > 0.05, then the fifth hypothesis is unacceptable, 6) Gender and motivation obtained Significant value = 0.015 < 0.05, then the sixth hypothesis is acceptable, and 7) the interaction among class, gender and motivation was obtained Significant value = 0.380 > 0.05, the seventh hypothesis was unacceptable. Thus, it could be concluded that there was no interaction between class, gender and motivation for speaking achievement scores.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Google Classroom, which was used to teach students how to write descriptive text for Junior High School. A quasi-experimental research design used in this study. The participants in this study were students in the eighth grade at SMPN 13 in Palembang. Purposive sampling used to select 60 students for this study. The researchers used a pre-test and post-test method to collect data. The researchers used SPSS to analyze the data and test the hypothesis. When the value of significance (2-tailed) in this study was lower than the significance level (0.000 < 0.05), the Ha was accepted. It means that using Google Classroom had a significant impact on students' achievement in writing descriptive text. However, it can be concluded that Google Classroom significantly enhances the efficiency of teaching students to write descriptive text and assists them in completing and collecting assignments without regard to time or space constraints.

Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from agricultural activities contribute significantly to global warming. Understanding the factors influencing N2O emissions is crucial for developing effective mitigation strategies. This review assesses N2O emissions from various crops cultivated in tropical mineral and peatland soils, providing insights into the impact of land use, fertilization practices and rainfall on N2O fluxes. Field measurements of N2O fluxes were conducted in agricultural fields growing corn, peanuts, and cassava in Bogor Regency, West Java Province, as well as in peatland areas with Acacia plantations and natural primary forests in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The study assesses the total N2O fluxes for each crop and land type, revealing significant variations in N2O emissions among different crops and land uses. Peatland areas exhibit higher emissions compared to mineral soils, emphasizing the need for targeted mitigation measures in these ecosystems. The findings highlight the importance of considering the type and age of land use when evaluating N2O emissions. Land management practices, such as fertilizer use and soil disturbance, emerge as critical factors affecting N2O emissions. Improper fertilizer application and excessive soil disturbance can lead to increased N2O emissions, underscoring the necessity for careful N fertilizer management and conservation tillage techniques.

Fishery products in Indonesia serve as a vital source of nutrition for the local population and are significant export commodities. However, the presence of chemicals, particularly heavy metals such as lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd), nearing safety thresholds, has led to export rejections. The aim of this research is to detect heavy metal contaminants in fishery products using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). This research was conducted at the Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency Denpasar, Bali. A total of 17 samples of fishery products intended for international export were analyzed. The results of the tests revealed that none of the samples exceeded the allowable threshold for heavy metal contamination.

Abstract Landslides are an example of severe natural disasters that occur worldwide and generate many harmful effects that can affect the stability and development of society. A better-quality susceptibility mapping technique for the landslide risk is crucial for mitigating landslides. However, the use of assemblages of multivariate statistical methods is still uncommon in Indonesia, particularly in the Kepahiang Regency of Bengkulu Province. Therefore, the objective of this study was to provide an improved framework for creating landslide susceptibility map (LSM) using multivariate statistical methods, i.e., the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method, the simple additive weighting (SAW) method and the frequency ratio (FR) method. In this study, we established a landslide inventory considering 15 causative factors using the area under the curve (AUC) validation method and another evaluation technique. The performance of each causative factor was evaluated using multicollinearity and Pearson correlation analysis with regression-based ranking. The LSM results showed that the most susceptible areas were located in the districts of Kabawetan, Kepahiang, and Tebat Karai. The high landslide risk in these areas could be attributed to the slope conditions in mountainous regions, which are characterized by high annual rainfall and seismic activity. The AUC training values of the AHP, SAW, and FR methods were 0.866, 0.838, and 0.812, respectively. Then, on the validation dataset, the AHP method yielded the highest AUC value (0.863), followed by the SAW (0.833) and FR (0.807) methods. Moreover, the AHP method provided a higher accuracy value, which suggests that the AHP method is more suitable than the other methods. Therefore, our research indicated that all algorithm methods generate a positive impact and greatly improve landslide susceptibility evaluation, especially for the preparation of landslide damage assessments in this study area. Finally, the method proposed in this study could improve the feasibility of LSM and provide support for Indonesian government decision-makers in arranging hazard mitigation measures in the Kepahiang Regency, Indonesia.

Various global-scale proposals exist to reduce the loss of biological diversity. These include the Half-Earth and Whole-Earth visions that respectively seek to set aside half the planet for wildlife conservation or to diversify conservation practices fundamentally and change the economic systems that determine environmental harm. Here we assess these visions in the specific context of Bornean orangutans Pongo pygmaeus and their conservation. Using an expert-led process we explored three scenarios over a 10-year time frame: continuation of Current Conditions, a Half-Earth approach and a Whole-Earth approach. In addition, we examined a 100-year population recovery scenario assuming 0% offtake of Bornean orangutans. Current Conditions were predicted to result in a population c. 73% of its current size by 2032. Half-Earth was judged comparatively easy to achieve and predicted to result in an orangutan population of c. 87% of its current size by 2032. Whole-Earth was anticipated to lead to greater forest loss and ape killing, resulting in a prediction of c. 44% of the current orangutan population for 2032. Finally, under the recovery scenario, populations could be c. 148% of their current size by 2122. Although we acknowledge uncertainties in all of these predictions, we conclude that the Half-Earth and Whole-Earth visions operate along different timelines, with the implementation of Whole-Earth requiring too much time to benefit orangutans. None of the theorized proposals provided a complete solution, so drawing elements from each will be required. We provide recommendations for equitable outcomes.

On post-mining soils, revegetation efforts are very difficult; only 49.74 percent of local plants survive. A native plant species called Shorea parvifolia dominates in the original forest of the study site at PT ABB. The strategy to improve the quality of post-mining soil as a planting medium for Shorea parvifolia seeds is the use of biochar as an ameliorant. This study aims to analyze the Success Rate of Biochar and Cow Manure on the Revegetation Success of Shorea Parvifolia Plants in Postmining Land. A completely randomized design (RBD) approach was used in this study to determine the percentage of biochar and manure that would survive and be suitable as soil planting media on post-mining land and in the natural habitat of Shorea parvifolia. The research was conducted in PT ABB's nursery and studied five levels of post-mining soil treatment, manure and biochar mixture, namely (B1) 90%+10%+0%; (B2) 80%+15%+5%; (B3) 70%+20%+10%; (B4) 60%+25%+15%; and (B5) 50%+30%+20%, with untreated post-mining soil (B0) and forest soil from Shorea parvifolia habitat as controls (B0+). In the study unit, 97.3% of the seeds survived. The growth of seedling stem diameter at treatment level B2 is a research variable that is significantly different from the control (B0) with a p value of 0.005, but not significantly different from other growth variables.

Forming quality interfaith friendships is not impossible. Additionally, our society has become accustomed to differences. However, a clear explanation for the difficulty of forming such friendships has yet to be established. This study aimed to investigate the influence of tolerance and stigma consciousness on the quality of interfaith friendships. The research involved 400 respondents aged 18-25, comprising 200 Muslim respondents with at least one non-Muslim friend and 200 non-Muslim respondents with at least one Muslim friend. The quality of friendship was evaluated using the McGill Friendship Questionnaire (MFQ), while tolerance and stigma consciousness were measured using the Tolerance Index Questionnaire (TI) and Stigma Consciousness Questionnaire (SCQ), respectively. Multiple regression analysis was utilized to test the research hypothesis. The study results indicate that tolerance and stigma consciousness are significant factors in determining the quality of interfaith friendships. Individuals with tolerance and low levels of stigma consciousness are more likely to form quality interfaith friendships.

To increase the resilience of farmers' livelihood systems, detailed knowledge of adaptation strategies for dealing with the impacts of climate change is required. Knowledge co-production approach is an adaptation strategy that is considered appropriate in the context of the increasing frequency of disasters caused by climate change. Previous research of knowledge co-production on climate change adaptation in Indonesia is insufficient, particularly at local level, so we examined the flow of climate change adaptation knowledge in the knowledge co-production process through climate field school (CFS) activities in this study. We interviewed 120 people living in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, involving 12 crowds including male and female farmers participated in CFS and not participated in CFS, local government officials, agriculture extension workers, agricultural traders, farmers' family members and neighbors, etc. In brief, the 12 groups of people mainly include two categories of people, i.e., people involved in CFS activities and outside CFS. We applied descriptive method and Social Network Analysis (SNA) to determine how knowledge flow in the community network and which groups of actors are important for knowledge flow. The findings of this study reveal that participants in CFS activities convey the knowledge they acquired formally (i.e., from TV, radio, government, etc.) and informally (i.e., from market, friends, relatives, etc.) to other actors, especially to their families and neighbors. The results also show that the acquisition and sharing of knowledge facilitate the flow of climate change adaptation knowledge based on knowledge co-operation. In addition, the findings highlight the key role of actors in the knowledge transfer process, and key actors involved in disseminating information about climate change adaptation. To be specific, among all the actors, family member and neighbor of CFS actor are the most common actors in disseminating climate knowledge information and closest to other actors in the network; agricultural trader and family member of CFS actor collaborate most with other actors in the community network; and farmers participated in CFS, including those heads of farmer groups, agricultural extension workers, and local government officials are more willing to contact with other actors in the network. To facilitate the flow of knowledge on climate change adaptation, CFS activities should be conducted regularly and CFS models that fit the situation of farmers’ vulnerability to climate change should be developed.

Introduction: A dividend announcement is an information disclosed by a public company regarding the distribution of its corporate profits, whether in the form of dividends or retained earnings to strengthen the company in funding future investments. Dividend announcements might have either a positive or negative effect on the market. Methods: This quantitative research uses the event study method in the data collection period of 20 days, ten days before and ten days after the ex-dividend date. The analysis used is a descriptive statistical test, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and hypothesis test. Results: The study results indicate that the market reaction is a change in the share price of PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS), there is no significant difference between before and after the ex-dividend date but at PT. National Sharia Pension Savings Bank Tbk (BTPS) changes stock prices before and after the ex-dividend date, and there is a significant difference. Furthermore, for abnormal returns at PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) and PT. National Sharia Pension Savings Bank Tbk (BTPS) before and after the ex-dividend date, there is no significant difference, as well as the trading volume activity of PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) and PT. National Sharia Pension Savings Bank Tbk (BTPS) before and after the ex-dividend date, there is no significant difference. Conclusion and suggestion: This is because the dividend policy is not a factor of investor interest in investing in the company but is determined through the earning power of the company's assets

Self-Determination Scale (SDS) telah digunakan untuk mengukur determinasi diri, kesadaran terhadap diri sendiri, dan kesempatan untuk menentukan pilihan tetapi belum terdapat penelitian yang menguji properti psikometri dari SDS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi validitas struktur internal dari SDS versi Indonesia. Penelitian ini melibatkan 703 remaja yang berusia 12-21 tahun yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di Kota Surabaya. Partisipan direkrut dengan teknik convenience sampling dengan cara menghubungi secara langsung dan melalui media sosial. Evaluasi validitas struktur internal dari SDS versi Indonesia meliputi struktur faktor, reliabilitas, dan invariansi pengukuran antar gender dan kelompok usia yang diuji dengan analisis konfirmatori faktor, reliabilitas komposit, dan analisis multi-kelompok. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa model bifaktor dari SDS versi Indonesia memiliki ketepatan model dan reliabilitas yang memuaskan. Namun, SDS versi Indonesia tidak memiliki invariansi pengukuran antar gender dan kelompok usia. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa SDS versi Indonesia dapat digunakan untuk mengukur determinasi diri, kesadaran terhadap diri sendiri, dan kesempatan untuk menentukan pilihan tetapi tidak dapat digunakan untuk membandingkan skor antar gender dan kelompok usia

The eel (Anguilla bicolor) is an economically significant but slow-growing fish. This research aims to determine the GR, SGR, feed efficiency, and FCR values of Anguilla bicolor fed supplemental bromealin feed. The method employed was a completely randomized design (CRD), which was analyzed using an ANOVA with a 95% confidence level and subsequently evaluated by Duncan (DMRT). Enzymes derived from pineapple have a significant impact on feed conversion ratio and feed efficiency. However, neither the GR nor SGR parameters exhibited a significant change. P4 with GR 0.38 0.03 g/day, SGR 0.95 0.03%/day, FCR 1.97 0.15, and EPP 50.9 4, or 17%, was the most effective treatment in this study.

Betta fish (Betta splendens) has export and import potential. Several popular betta fish strains include halfmoon, crown tail, double tail, and placard. We used the observation method to observe four betta fish strains with five replications. The four fish strains were spawned and will be dissected to obtain the female betta fish's gonads. The parameters observed in this study were fecundity, egg diameter, fertility, and hatchability. This study's data analysis method was analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Duncan's multiple range test. Based on the findings of the observations, it is known that the results of betta fish spawning and gonadal dissection on these various betta fish strains show a significant difference in fish fecundity (P 0.05). However, no significant difference in egg diameter, fertility, or hatchability was observed (P > 0.05). Betta splendes strains differ in terms of fecundity, fertility, hatching rate, and egg size.

The high demand for catfish motivates farmers to increase production by stocking at a high density. The stress response caused by stocking density, which has an effect on fish growth and survival, is one of the challenges associated with catfish farming with high stocking levels. This issue can be resolved by supplementing catfish feed with vitamin E to stimulate growth. This study aims to determine the effect of vitamin E supplementation on catfish growth, feed efficiency, and survival. This study employs the RAL method with five treatments, including feeding catfish seeds with vitamin E levels of 0 mg/kg feed (P1), 50 mg/kg feed (P2), 100 mg/kg feed (P3), 150 mg/kg feed (P4), and 200 mg/kg feed (P5), with each treatment repeated four times. Adding 100 mg of vitamin E per kg of feed resulted in the highest growth rates (1.66 0.05%/day), a feed conversion ratio of 1.2 0.07, and a feed efficiency of 83.46 3.24% when compared to other treatments and was significantly different (p 0.05). The addition of 100 mg of vitamin E to the feed had no discernible effect on survival compared to other treatments. Keyword: Vitamin E, supplementation, growth, Clarias sp.

A sense of place represents an individual's perception of belonging to a place, both emotionally and socially. A commercial area such as Senopati Street of Kebayoran Baru in South Jakarta has its own character and vibe. It is known as the most popular commercial neighbourhood that has been well-visited by surrounding communities of Jakarta and far beyond. This study aims to identify the public's perspectives regarding the sense of place they feel when they visit Senopati streets. It implements a qualitative descriptive method aided by using a Likert scale computation. Study results reveal that the social and physical natures of Senopati Street have their own uniqueness, composed by the nature of its physical structures/buildings, environments, and social interactions amongst members of the surrounding communities. This research will be a reference to other studies that take commercial areas as case studies and discusses a sense of place in an urban context as their research focus. The latter is one of many pivotal issues in the study of urban planning and development. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sense of place di Jalan Senopati menurut persepsi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dibantu oleh perhitungan skala Likert. Hasil studi menunjukan bahwa kondisi sosial dan alam dari Kawasan Jalan Senopati memiliki keunikan tersendiri, yang dibangun oleh eksistensi struktur fisik/bangunan, dan interaksi sosial antar komunitas yang tinggal di sekitarnya. Therefore, in the research conducted by this researcher will describe a use of the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model to be applied during the learning process in PAI subjects in improving student learning outcomes. The research approach used is a qualitative approach and runs using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The study was conducted with 3 cycles in 3 meetings on the content of PAI subjects. In each cycle there is an action with student learning outcomes in each cycle. In cycle I obtained an average value of 66.86 with a percentage of completeness of 64.28% then in cycle II it increased to 72.43 with a percentage of completeness of 67.85% and increased again in cycle III to 79.15 with a percentage of completeness of 73.1%. Then the results of student activity observations stated that the learning process that tends to increase from cycle I obtained a percentage of 58% to cycle III to 75%. This can show that the student facilitator and explaining learning model can improve student PAI learning outcomes in grade III SDN Gelam 2.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek bangsa sapi pejantan terhadap tingkat keberhasilan IB berupa Service per conseption (S/C) atau pelayanan IB per kebuntingan, Conseption rate (CR) atau angka kebuntingan dan Rasio sex pedet di Kecamatan Pemayung. Materi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah recording inseminasi buatan (IB) Sapi tahun 2018 dan tahun 2019 yang berasal dari sistem Informasi Kesehatan Hewan Indonesia (iSIKHNAS), kemudian kuisioner untuk para peternak. Parameter yang diamati berupa Service per conseption (S/C) atau pelayanan IB per kebuntingan, Conseption rate (CR) atau angka kebuntingan dan Rasio sex pedet. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-T dan Chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bangsa pejantan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap Service per conseption (S/C) dengan nilai 1,69 2,31, nilai Conseption rate (CR) yang diperoleh bervariasi yaitu berkisar dari (20 - 50%) dan Rasio sex pedet berkisar 0 - 62,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bangsa pejantan tidak mempengaruhi nilai S/C, CR dan Rasio Sex pedet.

Ruang server adalah ruangan yang memiliki standar khusus untuk menjaga hardware di dalam ruangan tersebut agar tetap beroperasi dengan aman. Salah satu contoh faktor yang telah dikerjakan pada ruang server adalah membaca suhu ruangan secara online. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperluas tipe informasi dengan pengukuran suhu, iluminasi cahaya, tekanan udara, daya terpakai, dan kelembapan ruangan, tanpa perlu mendatangi ruangan. Pengguna juga mendapat sistem peringatan dini yang realtime saat kondisi ruangan dinilai berbahaya/berisiko/mengkhawatirkan. Alat ini dirancang dengan ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali dari sensor-sensor yang terhubung, BME280 sebagai pembaca indikator untuk suhu, kelembapan, ketinggian, dan tekanan, PZEM004T sebagai pembaca indikator daya, arus, dan tegangan, sedangkan untuk pembacaan indikator cahaya menggunakan Light Dependent Resistor. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya diunggah ke Cloud, yaitu Ubidots. Secara keseluruhan sistem pemantau ini memiliki ralat sistem sebesar 2,35 % dan waktu tanggap realtime maksimum berdasarkan pengukuran ping sebesar 300 ms.

AbstractThis study, conducted between 2016–2021 on Southeast Asian mining companies, introduces the Modified Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Index (MERMi) to measure the implementation of ERM based on the COSO 2017 principles. The study found that ERM implementation is influenced by industry competition, company complexity, international diversification, and financial leverage. Meanwhile, company size and complexity, along with ERM and industry competition, positively impact firm performance. However, international diversification and financial leverage do not have a significant effect on firm performance. The study also concludes that there are no significant differences between the factors influencing ERM implementation in Southeast Asia and in advanced ERM implementation countries such as the USA, Europe, and Germany. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating risk management into the corporate governance of the mining sector in Southeast Asia. The limitations of this research include the lack of precise company disclosures on ERM implementation, which could be addressed through more research in other sectors and by using ISO 31,000 as a replacement for measuring instruments.

The difference in fishing gear between traditional and modern fishermen triggers conflicts; for the sustainability of the Pieh Island Marine Tourism Park (TWP) area, efforts are needed to prepare an efficient conflict resolution plan by considering relevant data and information. The study aims to identify conflicts in the Pieh Island TWP area, identify data and information needs to develop conflict resolution, analyze the availability of management data in the Pieh Island TWP, and provide recommendations for data and information collection. The research was conducted in the form of field observations and structured interviews through several questions that have been systematically prepared, as well as focus group discussions (FGDs) with the managers of the Work Unit (Satker) who are directly responsible to the Pekanbaru National Marine Protected Area Workshop (LKKPN Pekanbaru) as the Technical Implementation Unit of the TWP National Marine Protected Area Pieh Island. The results of the study are qualitative and quantitative data through descriptive and comparative methods in the form of identification of the type/nature of conflict in TWP, data and information needed in the preparation of conflict resolution, data and information that is already available and that must be collected, the ability of managers to support technically but financially need additional funds, and appropriate conflict resolution as well as some descriptions of recommendations for collecting data and information in TWP. Abstract In this work, an SEIR epidemic model with time-dependent transmission rate parameters for the multiple waves of COVID-19 infection was investigated. It is assumed that the transmission rate is determined by the superposition of the Gaussian pulses. The interaction of these dynamics is represented by recursive equations. Analysis of the overall dynamics of disease spread is determined by the effective reproduction number R e (t) produced throughout the infection period. The study managed to show the evolution of the epidemic over time and provided important information about the occurrence of multiple waves of COVID-19 infection in the world and Indonesia.
