ObjectiveEpratuzumab, a monoclonal antibody that targets CD22, modulates B cell signaling without substantial reductions in the number of B cells. The aim of this study was to report the results of 2 phase III multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials, the EMBODY 1 and EMBODY 2 trials, assessing the efficacy and safety of epratuzumab in patients with moderately to severely active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).MethodsPatients met ≥4 of the American College of Rheumatology revised classification criteria for SLE, were positive for antinuclear antibodies and/or anti-double-stranded DNA antibodies, had an SLE Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI-2K) score of ≥6 (increased disease activity), had British Isles Lupus Assessment Group 2004 index (BILAG-2004) scores of grade A (severe disease activity) in ≥1 body system or grade B (moderate disease activity) in ≥2 body systems (in the mucocutaneous, musculoskeletal, or cardiorespiratory domains), and were receiving standard therapy, including mandatory treatment with corticosteroids (5-60 mg/day). BILAG-2004 grade A scores in the renal and central nervous system domains were excluded. Patients were randomized 1:1:1 to receive either placebo, epratuzumab 600 mg every week, or epratuzumab 1,200 mg every other week, with infusions delivered for the first 4 weeks of each 12-week dosing cycle, for 4 cycles. Patients across all 3 treatment groups also continued with their standard therapy. The primary end point was the response rate at week 48 according to the BILAG-based Combined Lupus Assessment (BICLA) definition, requiring improvement in the BILAG-2004 score, no worsening in the BILAG-2004 score, SLEDAI-2K score, or physician's global assessment of disease activity, and no disallowed changes in concomitant medications. Patients who discontinued the study medication were classified as nonresponders.ResultsIn the EMBODY 1 and EMBODY 2 trials of epratuzumab, 793 patients and 791 patients, respectively, were randomized, 786 (99.1%) and 788 (99.6%), respectively, received study medication, and 528 (66.6%) and 533 (67.4%), respectively, completed the study. There was no statistically significant difference in the primary end point between the groups, with the week 48 BICLA response rates being similar between the epratuzumab groups and the placebo group (response rates ranging from 33.5% to 39.8%). No new safety signals were identified.ConclusionIn patients with moderate or severely active SLE, treatment with epratuzumab + standard therapy did not result in improvements in response rates over that observed in the placebo + standard therapy group.

Kết quả từ nghiên cứu ngoài việc đóng góp thêm về mặt lý thuyết, còn đưa ra những hàm ý thực tiễn cho các nhà quản trị, nhà tiếp thị trong lĩnh vực tiêu dùng xanh trong việc đưa ra những chiến lược phù hợp.

The BABAR detector at PEP-II will operate in a high-luminosity [e.sup.+][e.sup.-] collider environment near the [Gamma](4S) resonance with the primary goal of studying CP violation in the B meson system. In this environment, typical physics events of interest involve multiple charged particles. These events are identified by counting these tracks in a fast first level (Level 1) trigger system, by reconstructing the tracks in 'real time.' For this purpose, a Binary Link Tracker Module (BLTM) was designed and fabricated for the BABAR Level 1 Drift Chamber trigger system. The BLTM is responsible for linking track segments, constructed by the Track Segment Finder Modules (TSFM), into complete tracks. A single BLTM module processes a 360 MBytes/s stream of segment hit data, corresponding to information from the entire Drift Chamber, and implements a fast and robust algorithm that tolerates high hit occupancies as well as local inefficiencies of the Drift Chamber. The algorithms and the necessary control logic of the BLTM were implemented in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), using the VHDL hardware description language. The finished 9U x 400 mm Euro-format board contains roughly 75,000 gates of programmable logic or about 10,000 lines of VHDL code synthesized into five FPGAs.

The first portion of the BABAR experiment Level 1 Drift Chamber Trigger pipeline is the Track Segment Finder (TSF). Using a novel method incorporating both occupancy and drift-time information, the TSF system continually searches for segments in the supercells of the full 7104-wire Drift Chamber hit image at 3.7 MHz. The TSF was constructed to operate in a potentially high beam-background environment while achieving high segment-finding efficiency, deadtime-free operation, a spatial resolution of < 0.7 mm and a per-segment event time resolution of < 70 ns. The TSF system consists of 24 hardware-identical TSF modules. These are the most complex modules in the BABAR trigger. On each module, fully parallel segment finding proceeds in 20 pipeline steps. Each module consists of a 9U algorithm board and a 6U interface board. The 9U printed circuit board has 10 layers and contains 0.9 million gates implemented in 25 FPGAs, which were synthesized from a total of 50,000 lines of VHDL. The boards were designed from the top-down with state-of-the-art CAD tools, which included gate-level board simulation. This methodology enabled production of a flawless board with no intermediate prototypes. It was fully tested with basic test patterns and [10.sup.5] simulated physics events.

A system test of various components of the Solenoidal Tracker at RHIC (STAR) detector, operating in concert, has recently come on-line. Communication between a major sub-detector, a sector of the Time Projection Chamber (TPC), and the trigger, data acquisition and slow controls systems has been established, enabling data from cosmic ray muons to be collected. First results from an analysis of the TPC data are presented. These include measurements of system noise, electronic parameters such as amplifier gains and pedestal values, and tracking resolution for cosmic ray muons and laser induced ionization tracks. A discussion on the experience gained in integrating the different components for the system test is also given.

The Solenoidal Tracker at RHIC (STAR) is a large acceptance detector now being built to study high energy heavy ion collisions. It detects charged particles with a large time projection chamber. The 136,600 TPC pads are instrumented with waveform digitizers, implemented in custom low noise preamplifier/shaper and switched capacitor array/ADCs ICs. The system is highly integrated with all analog functions mounted on small cards that plug into the TPC. Detector mounted readout boards multiplex data from 1152 channels onto a 1.5 Gbit/sec fiber optic link to the data acquisition system.

Tình trạng này, cùng với sự chênh lệch về sức mạnh đàm phán đặt Bên dự kiến nhận quyền vào tình thế rất bất lợi: phải phụ thuộc vào các thông tin chủ yếu do Bên nhượng quyền cung cấp để đưa ra quyết định giao kết hợp đồng. Trong khi đó, Bên nhượng quyền có lý do, động cơ cũng như điều kiện để cung cấp thông tin không trung thực hoặc không đầy đủ. Vì vậy, quy định về nghĩa vụ cung cấp thông tin tiền hợp đồng trong nhượng quyền thương mại là một vấn đề được quan tâm trong pháp luật của hầu hết các quốc gia. Bài viết này phân tích các quy định về vấn đề này trong pháp luật Úc, trên cơ sở đó, so sánh với các quy định Việt Nam. Từ đó, bài viết chỉ ra một số điểm còn hạn chế trong các quy định của pháp luật Việt Nam hiện hành về nghĩa vụ cung cấp thông tin giai đoạn tiền hợp đồng nhượng quyền thương mại, từ đó đưa ra một số đề xuất hoàn thiện.

The main characteristics of aluminum oxides and hydroxides obtained by mechanochemical oxidation of aluminum powder, both in the initial state and after their heat-treatment in the interval 150 – 1100°C, are compared. The conditions for obtaining pseudoboehmite by thermal activation of mechanically oxidized product were established. The structure, morphology, and texture of the pseudoboehmite structure of aluminum hydroxide synthesized from mechanically oxidized product and aluminum oxides obtained on its basis in the temperature interval 450 – 1100°C are characterized. The environment of the high-luminosity PEP-II machine poses unique design challenges for the trigger system of the BABAR detector. These led to the adoption of a real-time parallel pipelined architecture for the trigger electronics which departs significantly from previous implementations at conventional e+e- experiments. One challenge for the trigger designer lies in detecting low multiplicity physics events with high efficiency while keeping the background rate within the data acquisition limits. To achieve this difficult task, creative and innovative high-speed trigger algorithms were designed, simulated and implemented in Field Programmable Gate Arrays, using advanced CAD/CAE tools. The simulation results indicate that these algorithms will be able to perform all required tasks quickly and efficiently. This paper describes the design of the Level 1 Drift Chamber Trigger System of the BABAR detector, including the trigger algorithms, design and test methodology of the implementation, as well as test and simulation results.

Issues regarding family planning are an important part of SLE patient care. Women with SLE can flare during pregnancy, in particular those who have active disease at conception or prior history of renal disease. These flares can lead to increased adverse pregnancy outcomes including fetal loss, pre-eclampsia, preterm birth and small for gestational aged infants. In addition, women with antiphospholipid antibodies can have thrombosis during pregnancy or higher rates of fetal loss. Women who have anti-Ro/SSA and anti-La/SSB antibodies need special monitoring as their offspring are at risk for congenital complete heart block and neonatal lupus. Ideally, SLE patients should have their disease under good control on medications compatible with pregnancy prior to conception. All patients with SLE should remain on hydroxychloroquine unless contraindicated. We recommend the addition of 81mg/d of aspirin at the end of the first trimester to reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia. The immunosuppressive azathioprine, tacrolimus and cyclosporine are compatible with pregnancy and lactation, mycophenolate mofetil (MMF)/mycophenolic acid are not. Providers should use glucocorticoids at the lowest possible dose. Methotrexate, leflunomide and cyclophosphamide are contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation. SLE patients on the biologics rituximab, belimumab and abatacept can continue these medications until conception and resume during lactation.Keywords: systemic lupus erythematosus, fertility, pregnancy, medications

Background: Outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has caused millions of deaths and lifelong consequences since December 2019. We attempted to evaluate the incidence, distribution, and risk factors associated with death after applying the social distance strategy to the second wave of SARS-CoV-2 in the Danang outbreak in Vietnam. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the online the Danang Hospital reports, gathering the epidemiological history of confirmed SARS-CoV-2 patients. We then conducted a descriptive analysis of Fisher's Phi Coefficient and Cramer's, along with multiple logistic regression models to test the effects of symptomatology and control measures performed by Vietnamese government. The last report we examined on August 29, 2020. Results: A total of 389 SARS-CoV-2 confirmed cases were related to the Danang outbreak are included in our analysis with a mean age of 47.1 (SD = 18.4), involving 154 men and 235 women, with 34 cases of death and 355 were alive. The study showed significant results related to age, quarantine measures, previous negative SARS-CoV-2 test, and a range of symptoms, including shortness of breath and myalgia (p-value

X-ray diffraction analysis, synchronous-thermal analysis, and IR spectroscopy were used to confirm the possibility of obtaining a tin-molybdenum solid solution by the closed-cycle technology via joint mechanochemical activation of tin oxide (SnO) and molybdenum oxide ( h-MoO), followed by a thermal treatment at 650°C. An analysis of the catalytic properties demonstrated that various target reaction products (methyl formate and formaldehyde) can be obtained by varying the temperature of the methanol dehydrogenation process. It was found that the selectivity toward methyl formate reaches a maximum of 99.88% at a temperature of 180°C. Raising the temperature further results in that the selectivity toward formaldehyde increases and reaches its maximum value at 260°C. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
