Multirotors are gaining great importance in the layout of innovative and more agile mobility. In this framework, a possible solution to developing an aircraft complying with the stringent size requirements characterizing this type of application may be a coaxial rotor configuration. To exploit several possibilities linked to coaxial rotors, a scaled experimental model is designed to evaluate the performances of the counter-rotating propeller system, specifically regarding the distance between the two propellers. Both thrust and noise are considered as parameters of interest. Two brushless motors are deployed, whereas the propellers’ angular velocity, in terms of rounds per minute (rpm), is controlled by an external control system. Tests are conducted on both single isolated propellers as well as on the counter-rotating system: the two propellers and their respective motors are characterized regarding the thrust. Furthermore, a comparison with a numerical model is performed. Noise evaluation on the single propeller shows a motor contribution prevalence at a low rpm range (1140–1500 rpm) and a propeller prevalence for angular velocities higher than 1860 rpm. By varying the distances between the propellers, a sensitivity analysis is performed with the aim of identifying the optimum configuration, taking into account both noise and thrust performances.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é avaliar a completitude de preenchimento do cartão da gestante segundo modelo padronizado pelo Ministério da Saúde. Estudo seccional de âmbito nacional, base hospitalar, realizado entre 2011 e 2012, que avaliou dados de cartões da gestante. Para avaliação da completitude sob aspecto qualitativo foram utilizadas variáveis relativas a antecedentes pessoais, obstétricos e dados da gestação atual. Para avaliação sob aspecto quantitativo foi utilizado o índice de Kotelchuck. Analisados 6.577 cartões, correspondendo a 39% dos cartões apresentados no momento do parto. A média de completitude foi “ruim” no Brasil e macrorregiões, exceto na região Sul. No Brasil, a média de preenchimento foi “regular” para os antecedentes pessoais, “bom” nos antecedentes obstétricos, e “ruim” nos campos referentes à gestação atual. A assistência pré-natal foi adequada à 58% das gestantes. Foi observada reduzida utilização do modelo de cartão preconizado pelo Ministério da Saúde e falhas no preenchimento do cartão da gestante de informações importantes, relacionadas principalmente à gestação atual. Hospital based, nationwide, cross-sectional study conducted between 2011 and 2012, evaluated data from pregnant women’s cards. Variables related to personal, obstetric history and current pregnancy data were used to assess completeness. We used the Kotelchuck index for quantitative evaluation. We analysed 6,577 cards, equivalent to 39% of the cards presented at the time of delivery. The mean completeness was overall “bad” in Brazil and macro-regions, except in the Southern region. Nationwide, the mean completion was “regular” for personal antecedents, “good” for obstetric history, and “bad” for fields related to the current pregnancy. Prenatal care was adequate for 58% of pregnant women. We observed a reduced use of the card recommended by the Ministry of Health and failures in the completeness of filling valuable information of the pregnant woman’s card, related to the current pregnancy.

Resumo Revisão sistemática realizada em janeiro de 2020 na base de dados SciELO com o objetivo de analisar a produção científica da Revista Ciência & Saúde Coletiva na área de alimentação e nutrição no período 1996-2019. A busca resultou em 904 artigos e 509 foram selecionados após leitura dos títulos e resumos. Os artigos foram agrupados em dez temas, sendo discutidos os de maior frequência: Avaliação do Estado Nutricional (n=142), Consumo Alimentar (n=111), Políticas e Programas de Alimentação e Nutrição (n=105) e Aleitamento Materno (n=35). As publicações foram em sua maioria artigos originais (75,6%) com método quantitativo (81,6%) e, entre estes, 18,8% utilizaram amostra probabilística. Observou-se um amplo leque de temas e subtemas abordados, evidenciando uma produção relevante que constitui um repositório importante de dados e conhecimentos para profissionais e gestores da área da saúde. Como lacunas, observou-se a escassez de publicações voltadas para a deficiência de micronutrientes; a popularização do Guia Alimentar para População Brasileira; a promoção da ascensão do aleitamento materno; os diagnósticos da descontinuidade da Política Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional e suas articulações intersetoriais com as políticas sociais de combate à fome. Abstract A systematic review conducted in January 2020 using SciELO database with the objective of analyzing the scientific production from 1996-2019, of the Journal Ciência & Saúde Coletiva in the area of food and nutrition. We selected 509 out of the 904 articles screened by titles and abstracts. We grouped the articles into ten themes and discussed the most frequent ones: Nutritional Status Assessment (n=142), Food Intake (n=111), Food and Nutrition Policies and Programmes (n=105) and Breastfeeding (n=35). The publications were mostly original articles (75.6%) employing quantitative method (81.6%) and, among these, 18.8% used a probabilistic sampling. We assembled a wide range of topics and subthemes, a relevant production and repository of data and knowledge for health professionals and managers. As gaps, there was a scarcity of publications focused on micronutrient deficiency; the promotion of the Food Guide for the Brazilian Population; supporting the rise of breastfeeding, the impact and analyses of the disruption of the National Food and Nutrition Security Policy and its multi sector interactions with social policies to fight hunger.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é identificar associação entre excesso de peso e composição nutricional do leite materno. Foi realizada revisão sistemática nas bases de dados PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), EMBASE, Web of Science e SCOPUS. As buscas foram realizadas de maio a junho de 2018, com os descritores: “Human Milk” and “Overweight” or “Obesity” or “Body Mass Index”. A busca bibliográfica resultou em 435 artigos após remoção das duplicatas. Desse total, 12 foram selecionados para leitura dos resumos e nove foram inseridos para compor a presente revisão sistemática. Oito artigos demonstraram que o excesso de peso acarretou aumento da concentração total de lipídeos, e/ou glicose e/ou frações de macronutrientes e um estudo não observou associação entre o excesso de peso e a composição nutricional do leite humano. A maior parte dos artigos selecionados observou que a obesidade modificou a concentração total de lipídeos e de suas frações. Portanto, é recomendado que o peso e a estatura da mulher sejam avaliados na consulta pré-concepcional, a fim de identificar e acompanhar desvios nutricionais, contribuindo para a adequação do peso antes da gravidez e auxiliando na produção de leite com conteúdo nutricional adequado. Abstract This paper aims to identify the association between overweight and the nutritional composition of human milk. A systematic review was performed by searching on PubMed, Virtual Health Library (BVS), EMBASE, Web of Science, and SCOPUS databases, from May to June 2018, using keywords “Human Milk” AND “Overweight” OR “Obesity” OR “Body Mass Index”. The bibliographic search returned 435 papers after the duplicates were removed. Of this total, 12 papers were selected for abstract reading, and nine works were incorporated into this systematic review. Eight papers showed that overweight increased the total concentration of lipids or glucose or macronutrient fractions, and only one study found no association between overweight and the nutritional composition of human milk. Most works selected evidenced that obesity changed the total concentration of lipids and their fractions. Thus, we recommend that women’s weight and height be evaluated in the pregestational visit to identify and monitor nutritional deviations, contributing to weight adequacy before pregnancy and assisting in the production of milk with adequate nutritional composition.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of excess body weight, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension on the nutritional composition of human milk. This cohort study was conducted at a tertiary public health unit in the city of Rio de Janeiro from March 2016 to February 2018. The data were collected in two stages (96 hours and one month after delivery). The macronutrients (carbohydrate, protein, lipid) and total energy were determined using the MIRIS® equipment. The level of significance was 5%. Higher protein content was observed in the nutritional composition of colostrum in women with diabetes mellitus. A higher protein and energy content was observed in the milk of mothers with excessive body weight. The energy content was higher in the milk of mothers with excessive body weight. Increased protein content in the human milk of women with excessive body weight or diabetes.

This paper is focused on structural scalability studies of a new generation of civil tiltrotor wingbox structures. Starting from a reference wingbox, developed under the H2020 Clean Sky 2 NGCTR-TD T-WING project, a geometric scaling was performed to upscale the concept up to a larger class tiltrotor named “NGCTR”. Given the wing and the wingbox geometry, a multi-objective optimization, based on genetic algorithms, was performed to find for the NGCTR, among different materials and layups, the best composite wing in terms of weight that satisfies stiffness and crash requirements. The crash requirement plays an important role in regards to wing weight performance. It was found that not all materials investigated in this study succeeded in satisfying both stiffness and crash requirements. The results in terms of minimum structural mass as the target of the optimization process show that the mass ratio of the optimized up-scaled wing is near the geometrical scale factor: 1.58 vs. 1.29. Furthermore, the solution found by the optimizer NGCTR upscaled wing is comparable with other tiltrotor data coming from a literature study. The difference in terms of the ratio between wing structural weight and tiltrotor MTOW is Δ% = +1.4: an acceptable small overestimation of weight compared to a design, optimization, and scalability method that is easily adaptable and effective. The study presented in this work is, in fact, part of a broader activity on scalability and constitutes its first phase, based on low-fidelity models. The scalability study will continue with a further phase (indicated as “phase 2”), in which more reliable models will be set up, allowing a better estimation of the wing’s structural weight and further optimization. The results shown in this manuscript concern phase 1 only and can be considered a starting point at the System Requirements Review level of the up-scaled wing. This phase allowed for a fast exploration of the available solutions by making a first assessment of the main requirements and by aiding in the material choice at the very beginning of the design.

The 24-Hour Movement Guidelines provide specific recommendations on movement behaviors for children and adolescents. The objective of this study was to verify the adequacy of children and adolescents to the guidelines for moderate to vigorous physical activity, recreational screen time, and sleep duration, and the overall adequacy to the guidelines, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional study was conducted with parents or guardians of children or adolescents from different regions of Brazil using a digital interview form including sociodemographic characteristics of families, moderate to vigorous physical activity, recreational screen time, and sleep duration before and during the pandemic. Statistically significant variation was observed in both groups in relation to moderate to vigorous physical activity and recreational screen time between the two periods evaluated. Overall adequacy to the guidelines before the pandemic was 19.28% for children from Group 1 (0–5 years old) and 39.50% for those from Group 2 (6 to 17 years old). During the pandemic, it corresponded to 3.58% in Group 1 and 4.94% in Group 2 (p-value between periods ≤0.001). This study showed the significant impact of pandemic restrictions on reducing overall compliance and physical activity, and increasing screen time among Brazilian children and adolescents.

Objectives: To assess methodological differences between studies that analyzed the association between hypertensive syndromes of pregnancy and prematurity. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, carried out between September 2020 and January 2021. The search for articles was performed in the PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Embase, Web of Science and Scopus databases based on combination of the following descriptors: (“Pregnancy Induced Hypertension” OR “High Risk Pregnancy”) AND (“Prematurity” OR “Prematury Birth” OR “Premature Neonate” OR “Neonate Prematurity”). Results and Discussion: 582 articles were found, only nine were selected. The main methodological disparities observed were related to the classification of hypertensive syndromes of pregnancy and prematurity, age of participants and control of confounders. Of the total number of selected studies, five informed the different guidelines used for the classification of syndromes and six used a cutoff point below 37 weeks for prematurity. Most articles found an association between the different categories of hypertensive syndromes and prematurity. Conclusion: Despite the methodological differences observed between the studies, an association was found between hypertensive syndromes of pregnancy and prematurity. For comparative purposes, it is recommended that further studies use current international guidelines to define hypertensive syndromes and prematurity. In addition, it is important to emphasize the importance of adequate prenatal care in order to monitor and treat women with hypertensive syndromes in order to reduce complications resulting from this clinical condition, especially prematurity. Métodos: Se trata de una revisión integrativa de la literatura, realizada entre septiembre de 2020 y enero de 2021. La búsqueda de artículos se realizó en las bases de datos PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Embase, Web of Science y Scopus en base a la combinación de los siguientes descriptores: (“Pregnancy Induced Hypertension” OR “High Risk Pregnancy”) AND (“Prematurity” OR “Prematury Birth” OR “Premature Neonate” OR “Neonate Prematurity”). Resultados y Discusión: Se encontraron 582 artículos, solo se seleccionaron nueve. Además, es importante enfatizar la importancia de una atención prenatal adecuada para monitorear y tratar a las mujeres con síndromes hipertensivos con el fin de reducir las complicaciones derivadas de esta condición clínica, especialmente la prematuridad. Background: To evaluate the potential factors associated with the nutritional composition of human milk of puerperal women. Methods: cross-sectional study, conducted between March 2016 and August 2017, with 107 women, selected in a Tertiary Health Care Tertiary Health Facility of the Unified Health System (SUS) in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro. Data were collected two months after delivery. The dependent variable of the study was the nutritional composition of human milk. We divided the independent variables into hierarchical levels: distal (age, schooling, parity and pregestational nutritional status), intermediate (number of prenatal visits and gestational weight gain) and proximal (alcohol consumption, smoking, diabetes mellitus and hypertension). For data analysis, we applied the multiple linear regression, centered on the hierarchical model. Only the variables associated with the nutritional composition of breast milk remained in the final model at a 5% level of significance. Results: The nutritional composition of human milk yielded by women with pregestational overweight, smokers and hypertensive had higher amounts of lipids and energy. Conversely, women with gestational weight gain below the recommended had lower amounts of these components. Conclusion: The evaluation of factors associated with the nutritional composition of human milk is extremely important to assist post-partum care practices. In this study, we observed that lipid and energy contents were associated to pregestational nutritional status, gestational weight gain, smoking and hypertension.

The tiltrotor wing structure is one of the most critical and heavily investigated structures in design due to the fundamental need to consider the interactions between the wing, pylon, and rotor systems to achieve aircraft aeroelastic stability. Indeed, in high-speed forward flight, wing flexural and torsional stiffness have fundamental roles in pitch-whirl stability. Another specific concern of tiltrotors is dynamic mode placement; it is necessary to properly place wing bending modes away from prop-rotor forcing frequencies. The main aeroelastic stability and dynamics requirements and the wing design process flow for the next generation civil tiltrotor are presented in this work. In this context, the use of composite materials plays a fundamental role in the attempt to satisfy the requirements, with the perpetual aim of minimizing the structural weight. An overview of the idealized and adopted models for strength, aeroelasticity, and whirl flutter analysis is provided. The primary focus was on the aeroelastic tailoring process. To satisfy, at the same time, all of the structural dynamic and aeroelastic stability requirements, the best compromise, with an acceptable weight penalty, was the mixture of two methodological solutions: adding unidirectional tape in the zones of the upper and lower skins for flexural out-of-plane frequency and adding a proper number of ±45° fabric layers at the locations of the skin with the highest value of strain energy for in-plane torsional modes. The results show that the proposed method based on modal strain energy analysis enables a tiltrotor aeroelastic tailored wing design. It can be easily employed in similar applications (e.g., vehicle scale-up/down) with the advantage of using the stiffness requirements derived directly from the aeroelastic ones (i.e., structural frequencies). The specific wing achieved aeroelastic clearance by adding only 2.7% of extra mass.

The main objective of this paper is to describe a methodology to be applied in the preliminary design of a tiltrotor wing based on previously developed conceptual design methods. The reference vehicle is the Next-Generation Civil Tiltrotor Technology Demonstrator (NGCTR-TD) developed by Leonardo Helicopters within the Clean Sky research program framework. In a previous work by the authors, based on the specific requirements (i.e., dynamics, strength, buckling, functional), the first iteration of design was aimed at finding a wing structure with a minimized structural weight but at the same time strong and stiff enough to comply with sizing loads and aeroelastic stability in the flight envelope. Now, the outcome from the first design loop is used to build a global Finite Element Model (FEM), to be used for a multi-objective optimization performed by using a commercial software environment. In other words, the design strategy, aimed at finding a first optimal solution in terms of the thickness of composite components, is based on a two-level optimization. The first-level optimization is performed with engineering models (non-FEA-based), and the second-level optimization, discussed in this paper, within an FEA environment. The latter is shown to provide satisfactory results in terms of overall wing weight, and a zonal optimization of the composite parts, which is the starting point of an engineered model and a detailed FEM (beyond the scope of the present work), which will also take into account manufacturing, assembly, installation, accessibility and maintenance constraints.

BackgroundThe association between gestational weight gain and neonatal body composition has been inconsistent, exposing the need for further research. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether gestational weight gain influences the body composition of full-term newborns and infants up to 4 months old.MethodsA cohort study was performed with 124 participants divided into categories of gestational weight gain according to the 2009 Institute of Medicine guidelines. The anthropometric and body composition data of newborns and infants acquired using air displacement plethysmography (PeaPod®) were collected at 96 h, 1 month, 2 months and 4 months of life. In the statistical analysis, the chi-square test was used to analyze categorical variables, and ANOVA was used to analyze numerical variables. Univariate analysis was performed, and the absolute and relative frequencies of the categorical variables, as well as mean and standard deviation of the numerical variables, were obtained. Bivariate analysis was performed for the categories of gestational weight gain and gestational and neonatal characteristics. When adjustments to gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, and pregestational body mass index (BMI) were analyzed by linear regression, gestational weight gain remained a significant variable for newborn percent fat mass. For all analyses, a significance level of 5% was adopted.ResultsGestational weight gain was adequate in 33.8% of the participants, excessive in 41.1% and insufficient in 25%. Women with excessive weight gain had higher pregestational BMIs and a higher incidence of gestational hypertension. Their newborns had a higher body mass, body fat mass in grams and percent fat mass than the infants born to mothers with adequate or insufficient gestational weight gain. No significant differences were observed in body composition at 1, 2 and 4 months of life during infant follow-up.ConclusionExcessive gestational weight gain may alter the body composition of newborns at birth. Further studies are required to better evaluate infant follow-up.Trial registrationClinical Trial Registry:NCT00875251on April 3, 2009.

Os artigos foram agrupados em dez temas, sendo discutidos os de maior frequência: Avaliação do Estado Nutricional (n=142), Consumo Alimentar (n=111), Políticas e Programas de Alimentação e Nutrição (n=105) e Aleitamento Materno (n=35). As publicações foram em sua maioria artigos originais (75,6%) com método quantitativo (81,6%) e, entre estes, 18,8% utilizaram amostra probabilística. Observou-se um amplo leque de temas e subtemas abordados, evidenciando uma produção relevante que constitui um repositório importante de dados e conhecimentos para profissionais e gestores da área da saúde. Como lacunas, observou-se a escassez de publicações voltadas para a deficiência de micronutrientes; a popularização do Guia Alimentar para População Brasileira; a promoção da ascensão do aleitamento materno; os diagnósticos da descontinuidade da Política Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional e suas articulações intersetoriais com as políticas sociais de combate à fome.

Objetivos: Avaliar as divergências metodológicas entre os estudos que analisaram a associação entre o diabetes mellitus gestacional e a prematuridade. Métodos: A seleção dos artigos foi realizada entre outubro de 2020 e janeiro de 2021 nas bases de dados PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (Lilacs/Bireme/BVS Brasil), Embase e Scopus. Foram utilizados os seguintes descritores: “Gestational Diabetes Mellitus” and “Prematurity” que foram modificados de acordo com as regras de indexação de cada base de dados. Não houve restrição no período de publicação e idioma. Foram selecionados 12 estudos, sendo dois transversais, cinco coortes, quatro casos-controle e um ensaio clínico. Resultados: A maioria dos estudos utilizou o critério do National Diabetes Data Group para diagnóstico do diabetes mellitus gestacional. Dos estudos selecionados, seis observaram associação entre diabetes mellitus gestacional e a prematuridade. Conclusão: Além do impacto da multifatoriedade causal da prematuridade, os estudos que não encontraram associação entre diabetes mellitus gestacional e prematuridade apresentaram diferenças metodológicas, principalmente no que tange a definição, o rastreamento e o diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus gestacional podendo acarretar resultados díspares.

Polymeric sound absorbers can be produced through electrospinning, a process which allows to fabricate high specific surface materials with a fiber diameter from few nanometers to several micrometers. In this study, a numerical simulation model of the acoustic behavior of poly vinyl pyrrolidone/silica composites were developed. First, the characteristics of the poly vinyl pyrrolidone/silica composites were examined, and the manufacturing of the material were described. Subsequently, the results of the measurements of the sound absorption coefficient were analyzed. Finally, the results of the numerical modeling of the acoustic coefficient were reported. The neural network-based model showed high Pearson correlation coefficient values (0.942), indicating many correct predictions. Taking into account the bell shaped acoustic response of the studied blankets as a function of frequency, the possibility to foresee the needed mass with the neural network-based model will be of great value for the applications where high acoustic absorption is required in specific limited frequency ranges.

The implications of Zika Virus exposure in pregnancy for early infant growth remains poorly described. The main goal of this study is to compare the growth, body composition, and feeding modality of infants in the first three months of life by prenatal Zika Virus exposure status. We selected an analytical cohort of 115 infants born without microcephaly, comprising 56 infants with qRT-PCR confirmed exposure to ZIKV during gestation and 59 infants born to women with presumptively no evidence of ZIKV in pregnancy. Infants were evaluated at birth, 1 and 3 months of age in terms of anthropometrics, body composition All the results were adjusted by maternal age, maternal BMI and gestational age. We observe no differences between anthropometric measurements at birth. Mothers in exposed group showed higher BMI. At 1 month and 3 months of age there were differences in mid arm circumference, arm muscle circumference and fat free mass. Weight and length was less in the ZIKV exposed in pregnancy infants and statistically different at 3 month of age. The findings of this investigation provide new evidence that ZIKV exposure in pregnancy may be associated with differences in body composition.

This study aims to identify through a systematic review the possible effects of pre-gestational excessive body weight on the composition of polyunsaturated fatty acids in human milk. The papers were selected in the following databases: PubMed, Virtual Health Library, EMBASE, Web of Science and SCOPUS. The search strategy employed descriptors: 'Human Milk' AND 'Obesity' OR 'Overweight' OR 'Body Mass Index' AND 'Fatty acid' OR 'Omega3' OR 'Omega6'. According to the established strategy, six manuscripts were selected. Most of the selected studies concluded that mothers with excessive body weight presented a milk with a higher concentration of omega 6. In addition, all selected studies identified an increased Omega-6/Omega-3 ratio in the milk of pre-gestational excessive body weight mothers compared to the eutrophic ones. The milk of pre-gestational excessive body weight women had a higher Omega-6/Omega-3 ratio, which confirms the importance of starting pregnancy with adequate weight, thus minimising the possible influences that excessive body weight can cause infant health.

This paper aims to identify the association between overweight and the nutritional composition of human milk. A systematic review was performed by searching on PubMed, Virtual Health Library (BVS), EMBASE, Web of Science, and SCOPUS databases, from May to June 2018, using keywords "Human Milk" AND "Overweight" OR "Obesity" OR "Body Mass Index". The bibliographic search returned 435 papers after the duplicates were removed. Of this total, 12 papers were selected for abstract reading, and nine works were incorporated into this systematic review. Eight papers showed that overweight increased the total concentration of lipids or glucose or macronutrient fractions, and only one study found no association between overweight and the nutritional composition of human milk. Most works selected evidenced that obesity changed the total concentration of lipids and their fractions. Thus, we recommend that women's weight and height be evaluated in the pregestational visit to identify and monitor nutritional deviations, contributing to weight adequacy before pregnancy and assisting in the production of milk with adequate nutritional composition.O objetivo deste artigo é identificar associação entre excesso de peso e composição nutricional do leite materno. Foi realizada revisão sistemática nas bases de dados PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), EMBASE, Web of Science e SCOPUS. As buscas foram realizadas de maio a junho de 2018, com os descritores: “Human Milk” and “Overweight” or “Obesity” or “Body Mass Index”. A busca bibliográfica resultou em 435 artigos após remoção das duplicatas. Desse total, 12 foram selecionados para leitura dos resumos e nove foram inseridos para compor a presente revisão sistemática. Oito artigos demonstraram que o excesso de peso acarretou aumento da concentração total de lipídeos, e/ou glicose e/ou frações de macronutrientes e um estudo não observou associação entre o excesso de peso e a composição nutricional do leite humano. A maior parte dos artigos selecionados observou que a obesidade modificou a concentração total de lipídeos e de suas frações. Portanto, é recomendado que o peso e a estatura da mulher sejam avaliados na consulta pré-concepcional, a fim de identificar e acompanhar desvios nutricionais, contribuindo para a adequação do peso antes da gravidez e auxiliando na produção de leite com conteúdo nutricional adequado.
