- Abstract
In this paper, the occurrence of large forest fires in the management area of ŠPD “Srednjobosanska šume” in 2020 was analyzed with regard to forest types and management classes. The period of April–May 2020 was characterized as a period with a particularly high occurrence of forest fires, where the burnt area was 1,030.36 ha, and the material damage was 1,893,559.15 KM. The causes of the fires are unknown, as are the instigators. In most cases, the human factor was found to be the cause, and in three cases it was determined that the fire was caused intentionally. The danger of certain categories of forests (and forest land) from fire is different. The biggest financial damage was caused by the burning of areas under young cultures, i.e. due to damage to seedlings. The aim of the research was to assess the number, frequency and damage caused by fires, as well as the risk of certain categories of forests from fires. Such research is essential for assessing the degree of threat to forests and forest land from fire.

- Abstract
Protected areas are ecosystems of indisputable importance for the wealth and biodiversity of each country. Therefore, the forestry profession is faced with the priority task of preserving the health of forests, which includes monitoring, forecasting and planning measures to combat factors that may adversely affect the health and stability of forests. Assessment of the health status of a protected area implies the collection of data that serves to assess the current health status as well as defining and proposing appropriate measures to preserve natural diversity. Since natural monuments are not a physically limited part of nature, plant diseases, pests and other harmful biotic and abiotic factors in the ecosystems surrounding this protected area can spread beyond their borders. Therefore, monitoring and implementing environmentally friendly protection measures must be imperative in our protected areas. Weakened and older trees of all species that have reduced resistance to pest attack are primarily exposed to the attack. Due to the reduced felling in protected areas, there are more and more such trees, which will surely be a significant problem in the near future.

4. Kvalitet i zdravstveno stanje sadnog materijala u rasadnicima u Bosni i Hercegovini

- Abstract
Kvalitet sadnog materijala ispoljava se u vidu morfoloških i fizioloških pokazatelja, kao i u vidu pojave određenih simptoma štetnog djelovanja abiotskih i biotskih faktora. Ti pokazatelji predstavljaju rezultat zajedničkog dejstva velikog broja faktora. Sa ciljem prikaza kvaliteta i zdravstvenog stanja sadnog materijala uzeti su podaci o kvalitetu sadnog materijala i njihovom zdravstvenom stanju iz četiri rasadnika sa područja Federacije BiH: rasadnik „Ajdinovići i Glog“ Olovo, „Potklečko polje“ Zavidovići, „Pržine“ Bosansko Grahovo i „Mihaljevac“ Cazin. Podaci o kvalitetu sadnog materijala upoređivani su između rasadnika po načinu uzgoja (lijeha i nisula), prema sortimentima (školovane i neškolovane) i prema vrsti drveća (četinari i lišćari). Rezultati su pokazali da je najveći utjecaj imao način uzgoja sadnica, gdje su sadnice uzgajane u nisula sistemu u poređenju sa sadnicama iz lijeha, bile daleko lošijeg kvaliteta. Razlog tome jeste neadekvatna primjena nisula sistema odnosno nepravilno pakovanje sadnica, gdje su sadnice postavljane preduboko, sa dijelom krošnje, što je imalo za posljedicu sušenje tog dijela a samim time i gubitak asimilacione površine, smanjenje prirasta, fiziološko slabljenje itd. Svako naredno poređenje kvaliteta sadnog materijala uslovljeno je udjelom sadnog materijala iz nisula sistema. Zdravstveno stanje sadnog materijala posljedica je djelovanja brojnih faktora, a jedan od tih faktora, kao predisponirajući jeste i gusta sjetva, što je za posljedicu imalo nepovoljan odnos prečnika na vratu korijena i visine nadzemnog dijela. Posljedica zajedničkog djelovanja tih faktora jeste pojava i brojnih fitopatoloških gljiva i raznih štetnika.

Pyrrhalta viburni (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), is a chrysomelid native to Eurasia. It gained importance as an invasive species in North America due to its ability to cause serious damage to native and ornamental Viburnum spp. plants.In our study Pyrrhalta viburni was recorded as a new record in the fauna of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has been recorded on four locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the region of Sarajevo. As it is feeding on Viburnum spp. that are commonly used as ornamental plants, its monitoring in urban and other habitats is suggested., Pyrrhalta viburni (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), hudikina zlatica je kornjaš autohton u Europi i Aziji. U Sjevernoj Americi hudikina zlatica je invazivna, zbog čega je porastao interes za istraživanje biologije vrste. Imaga i ličinke hrane se najčešće lišćem biljaka iz roda Viburnum i uzrokuju štete na listovima, a zbog tendencije da agregiraju i polažu jaja na već oštećenim biljkama izazivaju oštećenja koja mogu uzrokovati sušenja biljke. Odrasli oblici su 4,5-6,5 mm duge, smeđe boje sa blago tamnijim prednjim dijelom elitri, dok je dorzalna površina prekrivena sa gustim zlatno-sivim dlačicama. Imaga i ličinke sakupljene su od 18.05. do 23.06.2020. godine na četiri lokaliteta: Pazarić, dva lokaliteta u urbanom području grada Sarajeva (ulice Kolodvorska i Brčanska) i Trtorići (Općina Breza). Ovo je prvi nalaz ove vrste kukca, potencijalno važnog defolijatora autohtonih i kultiviranih vrsta iz roda Viburnum koji ukazuje na potrebu daljeg istraživanja rasprostranjenosti i brojnosti vrste Pyrrhalta viburni na području Bosne i Hercegovine.

7. REGENERATION OF FIR IN DIFFERENTLY STRUCTURED STANDS OF BEECH AND FIR FORESTS (WITH SPRUCE) ON BJELAŠNICA

UDK: 630*23:582.475(234.422 Bjelašnica) This document includes research in regeneration of fir in differently structured stands of beech and fir forests (with spruce) on mountain Bjelašnica near Sarajevo. Analysis of fir regeneration in differently structured stands was done by comparison of numbers of units of young fir, per growth category, and by total number of young fir at canopy density degree of 0.7 (0.60 – 0.79) and 0.9 (0.80 – 1.00), and by mixture ratio – share of fir (spruce) 0.7 (60 – 79 %) and 0.9 (80 – 100 %). Comparisons were done between virgin forest stands of beech and fir (with spruce) on ‘Ravnavala’, than, two-storied stand where we recorded transition of tree species (beech is dominant in upper growth, while fir is mainly dominant in young growth) on location ‘Medvjeđalokva’ and stands of typical uneven aged production forest of beech and fir (with spruce) in direct vicinity of virgin forest stand. Data gathering was done using total measurement method on permanent experimental plots of 1ha in virgin forest stand and two-storied stand on location ‘Medvjeđalokva’ and on circular plots in diameter of 12.62 m. Positions of circular experimental plots were determined by systematic sample in form of grid on intersections of Gauss-Krueger system, in intervals of 100 meters. Grid is laid in three transects of 27 plots each that is spread across forest compartments number: 111, 113, 114 and 115 of Management unit „Igman“, location ‘Ravnavala’. We have placed two experimental square plots of 1ha; one in virgin forest reservation ‘Ravnavala’ for preservation of assortment, status without human impact (compartment 106, MU „Igman“), and the other in management forest of this area “Medvjeđalokva” (compartment 117, MU „Igman”) for specific structure of assortment. Square 1ha plots were divided by grid of squares 10 x 10 m into 100 small plots.
