The electricity cost from offshore wind turbines has significantly declined over the past decade.However, in the context of energy transition, the further reduction in electricity generation costs remainsa forefront subject. One possibility is to enable offshore wind farms to have a greater installed capacitythan their transmission infrastructure, known as “overplanting”. This allows increasing their energygeneration revenues while requiring some curtailments of their power output during the most energy-rich periods of the year. Also, export cables may have a high thermal inertia, so they can be fully loadedfor several days before the cable reaches the maximum permissible temperature (usually 90℃ for XLPEcables). Hence, some Transmission System Operators (TSOs) have recently allowed offshore wind farmoperators to export more power than the transmission infrastructure may deliver in the steady-stateconditions. This is known as the «dynamic thermal rating» (DTR). DTR combined with overplantingcan lead to a significant reduction in the Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE) of offshore wind farms.This paper examines the benefits of improving the electricity production commitment strategiesagainst business-as-usual approaches based on the 50% quantile, called P50. In this perspective, atheoretical case is investigated, where the day-ahead and imbalance prices would be known in advancein order to define an optimized power production commitment. This theoretical case intends to definethe upper bound on the annual revenue that could be gained by enhanced forecasts on both theproduction and the day-ahead and real-time energy prices. The study is based on a thermal model of ageneric export cable, built per IEC standards 60287 and 60853-2, with data provided by the French TSO.The model was validated against simulation results provided by the French TSO. Historical day-aheadand imbalance prices are considered, as well as forecast and actual measured production profiles fromoffshore wind farms provided by the Belgian TSO. International audience; Electrical power generated from sustainable energies, such as marine renewable energy (MRE), is a key to the future. However, the cost of production still remains higher than for conventional energy sources. This paper describes a preliminary techno-economic study about the energy production management of a modelled point absorber-based wave energy converters (WEC) farm that could be installed in the vicinity of the SEM-REV site, i.e. the French multi-technology open sea testing site. The approach presented in this paper relies on a wave to wire model of the farm coupled with an electro-thermal analysis of the SEM-REV export cable, and a simple WEC economic cost model. The proposed methodology, developed under Matlab-Simulink ® , can be extended to other WEC types and more sophisticated models and control strategies. That makes it an interesting tool to determine the optimum number of WECs which can be added in an existing farm, as it depends highly on the sea climate of the future site, and in particular on its temporal characteristics. It is demonstrated in this paper that it could be feasible, from a techno-economic perspective, to increase the rated power of an existing WEC farm without requiring expensive grid reinforcements. This could be achieved by better exploiting the electro-thermal flexibility of its existing electric infrastructure.

This paper presents new approach to determine power reserve of congested primary substations by taking into account the thermal modelling of power transformers. As novelty, the proposed approach considers the uncertainty of thermal model’s input parameters - annual ambient temperature variation and annual irregularity of new consumer’s load profile. The approach suggested ensures power transformers to continue operation within the acceptable thermal parameters when new consumers are interconnected for this reserve value. The proposed approach is evaluated for real primary substation, located at Tomsk, Russia. The results are compared with conventional approach for reserve determination. Die Masterarbeit analysiert die Rolle von Identität im Konfliktmanagement. Um diese Analyse durchzuführen, entwickelt die Thesis eine neue "two-level identity" Theorie und verwendet qualitative und Content-Analysis Methoden. Die Thesis definiert die Nordkoreanische Identität und zeigt, dass die heutzutage existierenden "one-level identity" Theorien manchmal viel zu vereinfacht sind, um die Krisenentwicklungen zu erklären. Außerdem schafft diese Masterarbeit neue Möglichkeiten für das Recherchieren in den Bereichen Sportdiplomatie und Rolle der Olympischen Spiele im Konfliktmanagement., This thesis deals with the question of identity-constructing norms in crisis management. It develops a two-level identity theory to look at the case of the 2017-2018 North Korean crisis and applies the methods of content and qualitative analysis to it. The thesis clearly defines the North Korean identity and also proofs that the existing one-level identity theories are sometimes too simplistic to explain the patterns of crisis development. Finally, the thesis sheds light on new topics for further research such as the concept of normative peace and the role of sports diplomacy and Olympic Games in crisis management.
