The prospects to study hyperon-nuclei/nucleon interactions at BESIII and similar $e^+ e^-$ colliders are proposed in this work. Utilizing the large quantity of hyperons produced by the decay of 10 billion $J/\psi$ and 2.7 billion $\psi(3686)$ collected at BESIII, the cross sections of several specific elastic or inelastic hyperon-nuclei reactions can be measured via the scattering between the hyperons and the nucleus in the dense objects of BESIII detector. Subsequently, the cross sections of corresponding hyperon-nucleon interactions are able to be extracted with further phenomenological calculation. Furthermore, the interactions between antihyperon and nuclei/nucleon, including scattering and annihilation, can also be studied via the method proposed in this paper. The results will definitely benefit a lot the precise probe of the hyperon-nuclei/nucleon interactions and provide constraints for the studies of the potential of strong interaction, the origin of color confinement, the unified model for baryon-baryon interactions, and the internal structure of neutron stars. In addition, the desirable prospects of corresponding studies in the future Super Tau-Charm Factory (STCF) are discussed and estimated in this work.

The 10 MeV accelerator-driven subcritical system (ADS) Injector-I test stand at Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) is a testing facility dedicated to demonstrate one of the two injector design schemes [Injector Scheme-I, which works at 325 MHz], for the ADS project in China. The Injector adopted a four vane copper structure RFQ with output energy of 3.2 MeV and a superconducting (SC) section accommodating fourteen \b{eta}g=0.12 single spoke cavities, fourteen SC solenoids and fourteen cold BPMs. The ion source was installed since April of 2014, periods of commissioning are regularly scheduled between installation phases of the rest of the injector. Continuous wave (CW) beam was shooting through the injector and 10 MeV CW proton beam with average beam current around 2 mA was obtained recently. For proton linear accelerators used in applications such as accelerator-driven systems, due to the nature of the operation, it is essential for the beam failure rate to be several orders of magnitude lower than usual performance of similar accelerators. A fault-tolerant mechanism should be mandatorily imposed in order to maintain short recovery time, high uptime and extremely low frequency of beam loss. This paper proposes an innovative and challenging way for compensation and rematch of cavity failure using fast electronic devices and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) instead of embedded computers to complete the computation of beam dynamics. A method of building an equivalent model for the FPGA, with optimization using a genetic algorithm, is shown. Results based on the model and algorithm are compared with TRACEWIN simulation to show the precision and correctness of the mechanism.

Peking University is developing a 1.3 GHz superconducting accelerating section for China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP) high power THz free-electron laser. A compact fast/slow tuner has developed by Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) for the accelerating section, to control Lorentz detuning, beam loading effect, compensate for microphonics and liquid Helium pressure fluctuations. Twelve superconducting single spoke cavities whose Beta is 0.12 (Spoke012) operating at 325MHz, are adopted in Injector I for China-ADS linac. This type of spoke cavity is believed to be one of the key challenges for its very low geometry Beta. So far, the prototype cavity has been designed, fabricated and tested successfully. The design work was finished by using CST-MWS and ANSYS software for the RF and mechanical properties optimization. This paper presents the details of the final design for Spoke012 prototype cavity.
