In this era, interpreting and processing the data of traffic signs has crucial importance for improving autonomous car technology. In this respect, the relationship between the recognition of traffic signs and industrial applications is highly relevant. Although real-world systems have reached that related market and several academic studies on this topic have been published, regular objective comparisons of different algorithmic approaches are missing due to the lack of freely available benchmark datasets. From this point of view, we compare the AlexNET, DarkNET-53, and EfficientNET-b0 convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithms according to validation performance on the German Traffic Signs Recognition Benchmark (GTSRB) dataset. Considering the equal training and test conditions 70% of data as training, 15% of data as training validation, and 15% of data were chosen as test data. Experimental results show us that EfficientNET-b0 architecture has 98.64%, AlexNET architecture has 97.45% and DarkNet-53 architecture has 94.69% accuracy performance.

In this study, position control of a SCARA robot manipulator is investigated using the sliding mode control (SMC) method based on parameter optimization using The Bees Algorithm. The modeling the SCARA manipulator is conducted in MSC Adams and the control implementation is carried out in MATLAB software. The numerical model of the SCARA manipulator is acquired by setting up a virtual prototype on MSC Adams software. In addition, the inverse kinematic equations of the SCARA manipulator are formed using Matlab/Simulink software in order to check the accuracy of the created virtual prototype. In addition, the SMC controller parameters are optimized with The Bees Algorithm to get better results. Then, the control performance of the system is examined on the virtual prototype using MSC Adams-MATLAB co-simulation. Moreover, Genetic Algorithm, another meta-heuristic method, is used for parameter optimization and the performance of The Bees Algorithm is compared with the results obtained. Sonuç olarak, Arı Algoritmasının robotik sistemlerin kontrolü ile ilgili çalışmalarda kullanılabilir olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

The sensor data obtained from the environment should be as accurate and reliable as possible and correctly interpreted by the autonomous robot. Since sensors have advantages and disadvantages over each other they should be used together to reduce errors. In this study, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based sensor fusion was applied to ARS to contribute the autonomous driving. In a real-time application, a camera and LIDAR sensor were tested with these networks. The novelty of this work is that the uniquely collected data set was trained in a new CNN network and sensor fusion was performed between CNN layers. The results showed that CNN based sensor fusion process was more effective than the individual usage of the sensors on the ARS.

Among the studies on this is regarding social distancing, as this method is proven to prevent COVID-19 to be transmitted from one to another. In the study, Robot Operating System (ROS) simulates a shopping mall using Gazebo, and customers are monitored by Turtlebot and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV, DJI Tello). Through frames analysis captured by Turtlebot, a particular person is identified and followed at the shopping mall. Turtlebot is a wheeled robot that follows people without contact and is used as a shopping cart. Therefore, a customer doesn't touch the shopping cart that someone else comes into contact with, and also makes his/her shopping easier. The UAV detects people from above and determines the distance between people. In this way, a warning system can be created by detecting places where social distance is neglected. Histogram of Oriented-Gradients (HOG)-Support Vector Machine (SVM) is applied by Turtlebot to detect humans, and Kalman-Filter is used for human tracking. SegNet is performed for semantically detecting people and measuring distance via UAV. This paper proposes a new robotic study to prevent the infection and proved that this system is feasible.

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) is increasing today. UAVs can be divided into two parts, which are remote controlled and can travel automatically due to a certain battery problem. Recent research has also focused on the development and application of new algorithms to autonomously control these vehicles and determine the shortest flight paths. Together with these researches, UAVs are used in many civil activities such as weather forecasts, environmental studies and traffic control. Three-dimensional (3D) path planning is an important issue for autonomously moving UAVs. The shortest path for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) is determined by using two-dimensional (2D) path planning algorithms using the obstacles in the environment, and allows UAVs to perform their environmental tasks as soon as possible. The purpose of this study is to determine the shortest path to the target point and avoiding obstacles for UAVs using the Dijkstra algorithm. It was developed to evaluate the arrival time of the UAVs in the path planning algorithm with the simulation performed in the MATLAB program. In this study, the obstacles were defined for the purpose of the building with different heights and different widths and 2D and 3D models were carried out, assuming that the UAV flies at certain heights. Son dönemde gerçekleştirilen araştırmalar, bu araçları otonom bir şekilde kontrol etmek ve en kısa uçuş yollarını belirlemek için yeni algoritmaların geliştirilmesi ve uygulanması konularına da odaklanmışlardır. Bu çalışma farklı yükseklik ve farklı ene sahip olan bina amacıyla engeller tanımlanmış ve İHA’nın belirli yüksekliklerde uçtuğu kabul edilerek 2D ve 3D modellemeleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca İHA’ların gerçek uygulamalarda belirlenen yol planlamalarında uçuşu gerçekleştirilerek pil tüketimi, harcanan pil miktarı, hızı, alınan yol miktarı gibi verilerde incelenmiştir.

Bu yazıda, insansız hava araçları için basit ve ekonomik ancak verimli bir otonom haritalama ve navigasyon sistemi sunulmaktadır. Bu sistemi gerçekleştirmek için üç modül uygulanmıştır. İlk modül, dronda otonom olarak gezinirken ortamın 3 boyutlu bir modelini oluşturur ve ORB-SLAM adı verilen en iyi monoküler SLAM algoritmalarından birine dayanır. Sistemin otonom navigasyonu için görsel tabanlı bir hat izleme yöntemi önerilmiştir. Daha sonra, ikinci modül, 3 boyutlu haritanın 2 boyutlu ızgara haritasına gerçek zamanlı dönüşümünü gerçekleştirir. 3B'den 2B'ye harita dönüştürme çalışmalarının çoğu, ikisinin ortasında oktomaplar kullanırken, herhangi bir orta bileşene ihtiyaç duymadan 3B haritayı doğrudan 2B'ye dönüştüren eşik tabanlı bir yöntem sunuyoruz. Deney sonuçları, önerilen sistemin yalnızca monoküler bir kamera ve üzerinde sınırlı işlem kaynakları bulunan düşük maliyetli drone'larda kullanılmak için yeterince verimli olduğunu göstermektedir., In this paper, a simple and economic yet efficient autonomous mapping and navigation system for unmanned aerial vehicles is presented. In order to realize this system, three modules have been implemented. First module constructs a 3D model of the environment while autonomously navigating the drone and is based on one of the top monocular SLAM algorithms called ORB-SLAM. For the autonomous navigation of the system a visual-based line tracking method is proposed. Afterwards, the second module performs a real time transformation of the 3D map to 2D grid map. While most of the 3D to 2D map conversion studies use octomaps in the middle of two, we present a threshold-based method that directly converts the 3D map to 2D without need for any middle component. Finally, third module uses A* path planning algorithm to navigate the drone to the goal pose in the constructed 2D grid map. This module uses only IMU-aided Adaptive Monte Carlo localization (AMCL) combined with monocular camera information to complete this task. The experimentation results indicate that the proposed system is adequately efficient to be used in the low-cost drones that have only a monocular camera and limited processing resources on them.

Günümüzde insansız su altı araçları su altı arama kurtarma çalışmaları, gemi su altı bakım ve onarım işlemleri, dalgıçların giremeyeceği tehlikeli ortamlardan görüntü alma, askeri amaçlı kullanım, batıkların incelenmesi ve su altı temizliği gibi çok geniş bir alanda kullanılmaktadır.Piyasada yerli donanıma ve yazılıma sahip ROV/AUV sayısı çok azdır. Bu eksiklikten yola çıkarak yerlileşmeyi desteklemek amacıyla böyle bir proje üzerine çalışma gereksinimi doğmuştur. Su altı araçları için tasarlanan kontrol kartında ARM tabanlı STM32 mikroişlemci kullanılmış olup IMU, basınç sensörü, iletişim kartı gibi yardımcı elemanlar kullanılmıştır. Bugün dünyada üretilen mikroişlemcilerin %2 gibi küçük bir bölümü kişisel bilgisayarlarda kullanılıyor. Geri kalan %98’lik kısım hayatımızdaki elektronik cihazların içerisinde. The designed control card can be used for vehicle control and communication with the ground station in remote controlled and autonomous vehicles.In this study, the design of the Control Board, which will perform depth and direction control of underwater vehicles using PID algorithms, was explained. Instead of automatic cruise control systems for ROV / AUV platforms that currently need to be imported from abroad, it is aimed to develop innovative automatic cruise control systems (hardware and software) and sub-components domestically.

Bu durum bileşenlerin su altı aracı içerisindeki organizasyonunda kolaylık sağladığı gibi modüler yapı sayesinde test ve onarım aşamaları kolaylıkla gerçekleştirilir. Modülerliği sağlamak amacıyla sistem güç ve kontrol birimi olarak iki alt bileşene ayrılmıştır. Ayrıca su altı aracının kontrolü için bir bilgisayar arayüzü kullanılmaktadır. Bu arayüz sayesinde su altı aracı ile veri alışverişi yapılmakta bu sayede derinlik, su sıcaklığı ve elektronik bileşenleri içerisinde bulunduran sızdırmaz tüpün sıcaklığı takip edilebilmektedir. To ensure modularity, the system is divided into two subcomponents as power and control units. In addition, a computer interface is used to control the underwater vehicle. With this interface, data is exchanged with underwater vehicles so that the depth, water temperature and temperature of the sealed tube containing the electronic components can be monitored. Another task of the computer interface is to transfer the camera image taken from underwater to the user.In this study, the remote control of unmanned underwater vehicles, the power system, communication infrastructure, the design of the structure that provides the transmission of the image and sensor information taken from underwater is mentioned.

İnsansız su altı araçları (ROV/AUV) su altında yüzebilen, otonom ve uzaktan kontrol edilebilen robotik sistemlerdir. Günümüzde deniz kuvvetleri, savunma sanayii ve birçok alanda insansız su altı araçlarının operasyonel kullanımına olan ilgi giderek artmıştır. İnsansız su altı araçları doğal kaynakların korunması, çevresel kaynakların korunması ve bunların incelenmesi, muhtelif inşaat faaliyetleri, kıyı ve ülke güvenliğinin sağlanması gibi farklı ve çeşitli amaçlarla sivil ve askeri uygulamalarda yürütülmekte olup, son yıllarda yapılan akademik ve endüstriyel araştırmaların büyük bir kısmına yardım eden, gözlem ve keşif özelliğine sahip, uzaktan kontrol edilebilen araçlardır. Bu çalışmada insansız su altı araçlarında görüntü işleme ve derin öğrenme yöntemlerinden bahsedilmektedir. Yapay zeka tekniğinin kapsamlı bir incelemesini sunmaktadır ve ülkemiz savunma sanayiine katkıda bulunmak amaçlanmaktadır. Otonom sürüş için Raspberry Pi 3 mikroişlemcisi kullanılmış olup kamera olarak ise Raspberry Pi 3 ile uyumlu olan Raspberry Pi Kamera Modülü tercih edilmiştir. Yazılım dili olarak ise Python kullanılmıştır. Kameradan alınan görüntülerdeki nesneler, OpenCV kütüphanesi ve derin öğrenme kullanılarak tespit edilmiştir. Nesne tespiti ve takibi için derin öğrenme kütüphanesi olan TensorFlow kütüphanesi kullanılmıştır. Model olarak öncelikle Faster-RCNN-Inception-V2 modeli kullanılmıştır. Fakat FasterRCNN-Inception-V2 modeli ile Raspberry Pi 3 FPS bakımından iyi bir performans gösterememiştir. Bu nedenle çoğu gerçek zamanlı nesne algılama uygulaması için yeterince hızlı olan SSDLite-MobileNet-V2 modeli tercih edilmiştir., Unmanned underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV) are robotic systems that can float underwater, are autonomous and remotely controlled. The options that will enable the vehicle to succeed in autonomous missions are mentioned. The Raspberry Pi 3 microprocessor was used in autonomous missions. The Raspberry Pi Camera Module, which is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 3, is preferred. Python was used as a programming language during software process. Objects in the images taken from the camera have been identified using the OpenCV library and deep learning. The TensorFlow library which deep learning library, was used for object detection and tracking. At the beginning The Faster-RCNN-Inception-V2 model was used as the Model. However, Faster-RCNN-Inception-V2 model and Raspberry Pi 3 FPS cooperation working did not show a good performance. For this reason, the SSDLite-MobileNet-V2 model, which is fast enough for most real-time object detection applications, is preferred.
