The article presents a methodology for forecasting stock quotes of the Russian oil company PJSC Lukoil in the long term. The methodology is based on the creation of a system of indicators that affect the performance of PJSC Lukoil in external economic conditions and are used to predict the economic efficiency of foreign oil companies. The system of indicators includes the following parameters: stock quotes of PJSC Lukoil; oil prices in the world energy market; reserves of oil and petroleum products in the United States; the number of active oil rigs in the United States; gross domestic product of China; American natural gas prices. The indicators are studied in a long-term time interval, trends in their change are determined, correlation coefficients between them are calculated. The purpose of the forecasting methodology is to make an investment decision on its basis, that is, to determine the feasibility of long-term investment in shares of Russian oil companies. This research topic is relevant because the Russian economy is plunging into economic and energy crisis, free pri-cing in the stock market led to its collapse in a bad geopolitical environment, with the help of state regulation of pricing in the securities market, Russian stock quotes are being restored. The Russian stock market is revi-ving thanks to expectations of economic recovery, which appeared with the intentions of our government officials to stimulate economic activity in the country. All this creates preconditions for long-term investments.

The U.S. Gulf of Mexico is a world-class hydrocarbon basin and industry has an impressive track record of advancing its capabilities in the region. From 1947 to 2017, the U.S. Gulf of Mexico has produced over 52 billion barrels oil equivalent in federal waters, 20.7 billion barrels of oil and 187 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Remaining reserves are estimated at 4.8 billion barrels oil equivalent, 80% of which reside in deep water greater than 400 ft. Undiscovered technically and economically recoverable resources are estimated at 74 billion barrels oil equivalent mean potential, 85% of which are estimated to reside in deep water. In this retrospective of exploration and production in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, a statistical and trend analysis of field counts, sizes and distributions are presented followed by exploration and development drilling activity. Field discovery rates, play types, and reserves are summarized along with a description of the geology of the shallow water and deep water U.S. Gulf of Mexico and remarks on reserves growth. This paper deals with the importance of integrated hydrogeological, geological and geophysical applications in identifying suitable site for treatment, storage and disposal facility (TDSF) for industrial waste management. The pollution control authorities (Civic body) have a mandate to provide proper TSDF for the industrial zones. One such zone of 2800 acres, established by State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) at Perundurai in southern India, is selected to identify suitable TSDF site. The zone is envisaged to cater 22500 MTA (metric tones per annum) of industrial waste generated by 565 units. Hydrogeological and geological setup forms an important criterion in the process of environmental impact assessment (EIA) to establish proposed activity. Hydrogeological, geophysical and socio-economic/ecological studies were carried out to identify suitable TSDF site. Vertical electrical sounding (VES), multi-electrode resistivity imaging (MERI), ground penetrating radar (GPR) scanning, and infiltration tests were performed within the proposed TSDF site of 50 acres land. An inventory of 54 key wells includes depth to water level (varies from 9.7 to 15 m, below ground level) and water chemistry (pH, TDS, Ca, Mg, Na, K, Cl, HCO, SO, NO and F) helped in identifying physical environment around (5 km radius) proposed TSDF site. Geophysical and hydrogeological investigations verified with drillings (at 5 locations) within the proposed TSDF site resulted, shallow hard rock at 4.5 m depth, the absence of groundwater, and low infiltration rate (4.3 cm/hour) of soil in the western side (45 acres) of proposed 50 acres land reveals suitability of TSDF site.
