Uncertainty is often associated with risk, in Islamic economics the concept of uncertainty becomes one of the important pillars in the Islamic risk management process. Nothing in this life is free from risks and facts in every organization and its activities. The purpose of this research is to reveal and explain in depth the implementation of Islamic boarding school risk management.The paradigm used is post-positivistic. This type of research uses case studies. The key informant is the manager of the pesantren. Data analysis was carried out by an interactive analysis of the model from Miles and Huberman. The application of risk management at the Manba'ul Ulum Islamic boarding school in Banyuwangi Regency from the results of the study stated that it was very beneficial/positive, as evidenced by the increase in the number of students studying at the pesantren after experiencing the pandemic period from 2019. Islamic values ​​frame Islamic boarding school risk management activities as a source of inspiration and aspirations. Has been applied by the predecessors and is a character that shapes the santri so that they are not shaken under any conditions, besides that it is also sourced from the Islamic values ​​​​of the Qur'an and hadith as principles, then the educational curriculum is sourced from the book of ridhotun nashihin or akhlaq.

The “objective of this study is to investigate the effect of profitability on firm value with intellectual capital as an intervening variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population are manufacturing companies that have published Corporate Governance Reports until 2018. However, some companies do not publish regularly during the observation period from 2012 to 2018. This study uses population requirements, companies do not issue Corporate Governance Reports for a maximum of 1 year. In order to obtain a population of 14 companies, all of which were used as research samples (saturated samples) with 98 observations. The analysis method used path analysis. The results demonstrated that profitability has a direct effect on firm value and profitability has an indirect effect on firm value. Intellectual capital acts as a mediating variable in this relationship. The increase in intellectual capital has an impact on increasing the value of the company. In addition, profitability can improve company performance and corporate image internally and externally, thereby increasing investor confidence, and companies have the opportunity to increase intellectual capital. The increase in intellectual capital has an impact on increasing the value of the” company.

With the rapid growth of single-use products with pressure from global organizations, environmentally friendly products have emerged which are expected to be a solution to minimize environmental pollution and natural disasters. This study aims to analyze the effect of green marketing and environmental knowledge on purchase intention which is mediated by brand image on boxed tea products. In this study, data collection was obtained by using an online questionnaire. The sample in this study used students who were doing undergraduate or diploma studies and domiciled in Malang as many as 107 respondents. The results of this study show that green marketing has no significant effect on purchase intention, green marketing has a significant effect on brand image, green marketing mediated by brand image has a significant effect on purchase intention, environmental knowledge has a significant effect on purchase intention, environmental knowledge has a significant effect on brand image, environmental knowledge has a significant effect on purchase intention mediated by brand image. The findings of this study suggest that companies in Indonesia with single-use products pay attention to the impact of waste from these products on nature.

The concept of risk management has been widely studied in terms of finance in Islamic and conventional banking, government institutions, and insurance. While research on non-financial risk management in educational institutionsis still rarely done. This article aims to propose the development of the concept of risk management for Islamic educational institutions, especially pondokpesantrenor Islamic boarding schools. This research is a qualitative research/conceptual paper by conducting theoretical and empirical studies on articles that have been published. The data is secondary data. The results of the study found that risk exists in all organizations including pondokpesantren, so it is necessary to carry out risk management. Risk must be managed appropriately and correctly because failure to manage risk has serious consequences for the organization. The risk management process in pondokpesantrenis based on the implementation of Islamic values ​​sourced from the Qur'an and Hadith. The most important contribution of this paper is to develop the concept of risk management for pondokpesantren.

Background: With limited space to work WFH during the pandemic, it is the biggest challenge faced by all employees and companies. In the midst of many companies holding a hiring freeze policy or temporarily suspending the recruitment of new employees, ruangguru even did the opposite, RuangGuru held a routine recruitment of new employees during the pandemic. Aim: This study aims to analyze and explain the effect of work stress and work motivation on turnover intention mediated by organizational commitment of employees of FEC PT. Ruang Raya Indonesia Sumapapua I Makassar, Pare-Pare, Palopo. Method: This type of research is an explanatory research that explains the causal relationship between the variables used through hypothesis testing. The sampling method in this study uses the saturated sampling method. The population determined in this study was 108 people, namely all employees of FEC Sumapapua I covering the Makassar, Pare-Pare, Palopo areas. The data obtained from the sample were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, with the SMARTPLS 3.0 approach. Findings: The results showed that work stress has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, work motivation has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, work stress has a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment has a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment turnover intention, organizational commitment does not mediate the effect of work stress on turnover intention, organizational commitment mediates the influence of work motivation on turnover intention.

This study aims to describe the potential of MSMEs in Indonesia and the role of technology in the industrial era 4.0, especially in alternative funding in the form of Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending in providing funding solutions for MSMEs. This study uses a literature review including academic studies on MSME financing in Indonesia by using the results of previous studies and surveys on Indonesian MSME. The development of P2P Lending is the solution for MSMEs with no access to financial aid from banks.

Strategic management plays an important role in village governance to improve the quality of public services. The Village Government receives substantial funding but has not been followed by adequate strategic management governance. Changes in policy, environmental change and the ability to deliver better quality public services have become the demand for village governments to adapt their institutions for developments and changes. This research focuses on the influence of power and commitment on the application of Strategic Management in Village Government (Study on Village Government in Sidoarjo District). This study aims to explain whether power and commitment have a significant effect on strategic management in Village Government. The research was conducted by using questionnaires to test the research variables from Respondents. The results explain the influence of the two variables and the results are analyzed using WarpPLS. The results of this study indicate that the two variables positively affect the implementation of strategic management in village government. Expert and reverend based power and continuance commitment have a positive effect on the implementation of strategic management in village government. The results of this study will play a significant role in helping Village Governments analyze the factors that influence strategic management governance

This study aims to analyze determinant variables of capital structure and impact of capital structure on firm value. The determinants of capital structure such as tangibility, profitability, non-debt tax shields, uniqueness, and shares price performance are used as independent variables. Capital structure and firm value are used as dependent variables. Data analysis in this research uses regression analysis. The sample s are 62 manufacturing firms listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2016. The result shows : 1) tangibility has a positive and significant impact on capital structure; 2) profitability has a negative and significant impac t on capital structure ; 3) non-debt tax shields, uniqueness and shares price performance do not impact on capital structure ; 4) capital structure has a negative and significant impact on firm value https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2210

Objective - The investment decision made by investors was a reaction to the information received by investors. The information captured by the market as a signal. One example of information used by investors is right issue event. The aims of this study are to examine and to analyze the effect of growth opportunities, issue size, leverage, ownership concentration, and subscription price discount toward cumulative abnormal return on right issue event. Methodology/Technique - This type of research is explanatory research. The sample of this research is real sectors companies which have issuing rights during the2012-2014 period in Indonesia Stock Exchange, by using census method, and obtained in 37 companies. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression method. Findings - According to statistical results, issue size, leverage, and subscription price discount havepositive significant effect on cumulative abnormal return, while growth opportunities and ownership concentration have insignificant effect. This positive effect suggests that such right issue captured by investors as a positive signal and conveys favorable information about new investment opportunities. Novelty - This research investigated the factors that influence the investment decisions made at the time of the rights issue in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research findings regarding the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and transformational leadership on organisational performance are inconsistent. This research aims to investigate the direct influence of entrepreneurial orientation and transformational leadership on organisational performance and their indirect influence with the mediation of innovation. The population of this research is 301 business units of Indonesia’s State-Owned Electricity Company of Java and Bali distribution region, from which 168 were selected as the sample. The managerial or practical implications of this research are that it provides a better understanding, proposes suggestions to the organisation in maximising and optimising its intangible resources in relation with entrepreneurial orientation, and encourages activities related to its innovation in order to increase its organisational performance, especially in the specific nature of state-owned enterprise’s context and business model. In addition, the organisation needs to encourage transformational leadership among its leaders to enhance activities related to innovation.

This study aims to examine the effect of various variables related to working capital management on profitability of state-owned enterprise in processing industry sector. The variables used in this research are profitability, cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, liquidity, and asset structure. The population is entire state-owned enterprise of Indonesia in processing industry sector. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Based on the determined criteria, there are 13 companies as the sample. The data used are secondary data and research analysis tool is multiple linear regression. The results of this strudy indicate that inventory turnover and asset structure have significantly positive effect on corporate profitability. Nevertheless, Cash Turnover, Receivable Turnover, and Liquidity have no significant effect on the profitability on State -owned enterprise of indonesia in processing industry sector. For further research, it is advisable to add financial and non financial variables which are consideredmediate or moderate the effect of working capital management on profitability.

Companies must maintain the sustainability business. In order to keep their existence and competitiveness, companies must increase profitability in every year. It also applies to state fertilizer companies. However, 10 years of history (2005-2014), the state fertilizer company have been facing difficulties in maintaining business sustainability. Profitability fluctuates and tends to decrease every year. One of the causes is inefficient working capital management. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between working capital management and corporate profitability. To ensure the absence of the influence of unexamined factors, this study uses control variables of firm size, financial leverage, and gross domestic product. This research uses a positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that state fertilizer companies will be able to increase ROA by accelerating Days of Sales in Inventory and Days of Payables. Higher assets, reduce profitability, and increasing debt withdrawal, which further declines profitability. State fertilizer companies should accelerate inventory turnover and obligation payments to suppliers to minimize the risk of foreign exchange loss, considering that 80% of raw materials are still imported. Resources and operational environment of a company are known to have important role in its competitive strategic formulation. These three variables also found influencing business performance. However, little is known about the influence of an understanding toward local culture and rules where a company operated on competitive strategic formulation and the impact on business performance. This research is aimed to find out about the influence of an understanding and implementation of Tri Hita Karana as one of intangible strategic resources and the influence of local rules either in form of regional regulation or customary rules on competitive strategic formulation of real estate company operated in Indonesia, whcih is in Bali Province.In order to harmonize company with its environment through three dimensions based on Hindu philosophy (parahyangan as the manifestation of God dimension, pawongan as the manifestation of humanity dimension and palemahan as the manifestation of natural environment dimension), it is proven that understanding and implementation of Tri Hita Kirana have the highest influence from seven strategic resources formulation of a company. In addition, local rules also proven to significantly influence environmental dynamic faced by real estate companies operated in Bali. The research verified that resources owned by and environmental dynamics of a company have significant influence on competitive strategic that further influence business performance measured using Balance Score Card method.

The purpose of this article was to explore and analyze the earlier findings and latest research-related on lending decision making. The review focuses on the borrower characteristic information and relationship lending on lending decision making. Previous research revealed that the borrower characteristic information produced through the so-called lending technology, and the characteristics of the borrower can be classified into two categories; qualitative characteristic and quantitative characteristics. The results of this review also showed that there were inconsistencies findings on the effects of the characteristics of the borrower and relationship lending on lending decision making. These finding inconsistencies allegedly influenced by organizational factors and banks loan officer psychological factors as decision makers in the lending decision making.

The article aims to integrate agency theory, stewardship theory and intellectual capital in minimizing agencies conflict. The theories were approached by identifying organizational principles according to perspective of shareholders, then comparison of applications of agency theory, stewardship theory and intellectual capital contributing to the principal relationship with the agent in minimizing agencies conflict in order to contribute to enhancement of corporate value was discussed and empirical studies on perspectives of agency, stewardship and intellectual capital perspective specialized in human capital and structural capital were examined. The deep study of the theories concluded, it is necessary to integrate agency theory and stewardship theory and intellectual capital in effort of minimizing agencies conflict and enhancing corporate value. Further, it can be suggested that perspective of agency theory explains the importance of multi-principles framework, with perspectives of stewardship theory and intellectual capital showing a situation in which agent has the same interest as principle or to be motivated to make action for the sake of the best interest of the principal in minimizing agencies conflict and enhancing value of the company. Empirical literature can add more thoughts on agency issues integrated with stewardship theory and intellectual capital that can contribute to the study of the issues.

The financial institution in any nation has a potential role in the economy but it can also create the risks taken by the borrowers. This study seek to test the effect of policy and credit risk management strategies, quality of human resources, information technology intensity, and moral hazard of lending staff on the credit risk management process. This is positivist approach with qualitative information to support quantitative analysis using 83 respondents of commercial banks (excluding foreign banks), collected by means of questionnaires related to respondents’ perceptions with Likert scale. The analysis was done by using Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). Results showed that credit risk management olicies can improve credit risk management strategy formulation; credit risk management strategies improves credit risk management process quality; the intensity of high IT improves credit risk management process quality; the human resource quality can less improve credit risk management process quality; moral hazard less improves credit risk management process quality; and, the high quality of credit risk management processes can reduce credit risk. It can be concluded that credit risk management process has a significant effect on credit risk. The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of supply chain flexibility on the competitiveness and firm performance and to explain the role of competitiveness as mediator for the relation between supply chain flexibility and firm performance. Methods of data collection was survey. The sample was the manager of large-scale fishery firms in the Southeast Sulawesi. Research results showed the high supply chain flexibility has a significant effect on higher competitiveness, but does not has significant effect on firm performance, there for competitiveness has significant effect on firm performance. Finally, competitiveness becomes a complete mediation relationship between supply chain flexibility on firm performance. The practical implications of this study was to provide insight and knowledge to fishery firm managers, particularly in Southeast Sulawesi and Indonesia and generally in other developing countries, in implementing the concept supply chain flexibility by observing the capability of their partners in the supply chain to respond market changes in achieving and maintaining competitiveness and firm performance. Originality of this research was to provide the basis for an integrated configuration model in testing the relationship between supply chain flexibility on competitiveness and firm performance, and also on the role of competitiveness as mediator in improving firm performance.
