The use of soy flour in bakery products improves the handling of the dough, the bread core is lighter in color and softer. In these conditions, the research carried out aimed to test the possibility of replacing a part of the wheat flour with enzymatically active soybean meal, associated with ascorbic acid (0.005% of the amount of flour) and sodium stearoyl-2-lactate (0.4%), as stabilizer and emulsifier. During the experimental period, 4 recipes were made for bread making, respectively a control sample and 3 experimental samples, in which different quantities of enzymatically active soybean meal (5%, 10%, 15%) were introduced. There was an improvement in the hydration capacity of the dough, in proportion to the amount of the added soy flour. As a result, it can stated that soybean meal increases the absorption capacity of the water and increases the durability of bread freshness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The results of former research concerning the development of inbred lines in native silkworms breeds, established the technologic formation procedures and pointed out reduced values of inbreeding depression in the productive characteristics. The object of the present research aims are the identification and selection of the most productive inbred lines based on crossing with tester constant lines, namely the research of general combining capacity; establishing specific combining capacity by direct and reciprocal crossing and estimation of heterosis effect. The results of research emphasize that from those 14 inbreeding lines tested for combining capacity, 7 and 10 maternal lines and 3 paternal lines obtain heterosis results that demonstrate superior possibilities of turning into account the crossbreeding system in silkworms raising. The profitability of breeding sows is determined by their rational feeding, knowing that in the pig cost price of the delivered feed represents approx. 70-80%. Consequently, achieving efficient and consistent productions in pig farms depends on the quantitative and qualitative assurance of feeds, which are used both to ensure their own vital functions and to increase their production. For efficient feeding of pregnant and lactating sows, the morpho-physiological features of this species should be taken into account, testing the use of improved herbaceous species such as Turda maize, 21-1G barley, Tudor peas. The weight of pregnant sows and the consumption of compound feeds were influenced by the digestibility of nutrients, mainly by protein. Researches are part of a large study to analyze semen material and breeding efficiency of broiler breeding hybrid parents. Study aimed to analyze influence of some microclimate factors (light intensity, bird's density and sex percentage) and litter material on semen quality (semen pH) in ROSS 308 broiler breeding males. Three experimental groups were formed (A - with analyze parameters sub-standard and litter made of chopped straws B - with analyze parameters above standard and litter made of rice hulls and C - with analyze parameters at the level recommended by the manufacturer of biological material and litter made of wood shavings) and in each trial 25 roosters and 250 laying hens from the ROSS 308 commercial hybrid were used. Researches were performed during a two years period with 3 control weeks (25, 35 and 45) during breeding period (19-64 weeks). Ejaculation pH has been between 7.30 ±0.08 in week 25 - trial A and 7.70 ± 0.10 in week 35 - trial B. Results about semen pH would seem to support usage of microclimate technological parameter values under standard recommendations and a litter made of chopped straws which would produce the lowest level of stress and so it would perturb the least reproduction of ROSS 308 broiler breeding males. Researches were performed during a two years period on ROSS 308 commercial hybrids with 25 roosters and 250 laying hens and three control weeks (25, 35 and 45) during breeding period (19-64 weeks). Three experimental groups were formed as one for each trial (A - with analyze parameters sub-standard and litter made of chopped straws; B - with analyze parameters above standard and litter made of rice hulls and C - with analyze parameters at the level recommended by the manufacturer of biological material and litter made of wood shavings). Ejaculation volume has been between 0.74 ±0.04 ml in week 25 - trial A and 1.20 ± 0.06 ml in week 45 - trial C. Results of trial B experiments are above the other ambient conditions with the exception of ejaculation volume in week 45. Sorghum is recommended to be grown in drier areas, being able to exploit the salty soils where the cereal growing is more difficult. For an efficient use in the animal organism, the grains of sorghum should be prepared by grinding, being also possible to be used in the compound feed recipes or in the mixtures of concentrates, and the sorghum plants through ensilaging. Some varieties of sorghum contain higher amounts of tannin, which negatively affects the animal performances. The purpose of the current study was to compare the chemical composition of two sorghum hybrids with other feeds for cattle or swine feeding. The recorded data showed that the chemical composition of the two analyzed sorghum hybrids was close, as there were no differences between the samples of grain or of pickled forage. The chemical composition of sorghum grains was close to that of maize, except for the crude protein, which was higher and that of crude fat, which was lower. Sorghum silage showed a higher content in ash and crude fiber, while crude protein, crude fat and N-free extractives were lower compared to maize silage. The main aim of this study was to determine the parameters of biological indexes of Bombyx mori L. spawning in order to obtain adequate larvae for experimental breeding using MSF (Familial Sericulture Modulus). The biological material used for experiments contained the pure breeds AB (Alb Băneasa), B1 (Băneasa 1), AC (Alb de Cislău), AC29 (Alb chinezesc, line 29), AC29/T (Alb Chinezesc), AC/T (Alb de Cislău), RG90, IBV, S8, AJ5/F, C127, AJ17, C108/T, AO/T and the hybrids B1xAC, ACxB1, ABxAC29, AC29xAB, ACxAB, ABxAC, ABxB1, B1xAB. For each pure breed and hybrid the number of eggs/spawning, the number of hatching eggs, the hatching percent (%) and the number of non-hatching eggs were determined. The analysis of these indexes was done in three consecutive years, and the averages and spread parameters, as well as variability coefficients (V%) were calculated for each breed and hybrid. The obtained values of biological indexes of spawning were compared with those reported in autochthonous and foreign literature. The main conclusions of our study are that the autochthonous breeds and hybrids values are according to the values published by other researchers and correspond for the experimental breeding. The carp is the main aquaculture species which is omnivorous, eating both vegetable and animal food. The aim was to analyze the research undertaken blood parameters at two varieties of carp fry culture, those common carp (Cyprinus carpio var. typica) and mirror carp (Cyprinus carpio var. specularis), which were grown with both natural food (zooplankton and phytoplankton) and with mixed food (natural and supplementary - cereal mixed with soybean meal). The weight of juveniles ranged between 25-45 g, and the blood parameters were determined during two periods, respectively in August and October. The values of blood parameters showed a physiological response similar to both varieties of carp, for similar living conditions. The number of erythrocytes, haemoglobin and the value of hematocrit were higher in summer than autumn, due to metabolic processes more pronounced in summer, when juvenile fish gets feed more intense. Moreover, the blood parameters were influenced by the variation of environmental factors, respectively the water temperature, its decrease causing the lowering of the analyzed blood parameters. The aim of the paper work is to optimize the population structure in a selection plan, according to model developed by Colburn (1961), which will be proposed to be applied for live weight and traits associated with carcass and meat quality improvement in Palas Meat Line. The method used in this paper work is modeling, which exist in the most animal breeding scientifically papers. After the simulations, we observed that the most convenient variant was that which prefigure 400 females in nucleus, a weight of the groups by A - 24%, B - 19% + 19%, C - 38%, 13 rams in nucleus and maximum values for demographical parameters. The previous results have shown that the pork meat may become a part of a dietetical nutrition, because the pork meat is a superior source of protein, the best source of thiamine, a good source of iron and zinc, lower as calories, less lipids and an ideal ratio between polyunsaturated and saturated fat acids. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence over the bioproductive performances of fattening swine, also the evolution of the contained of iron and copper in blood, liver, fat, muscles, in the conditions in which during the finisher period iron and copper marked with radioactive isotope 56Fe and 64Cu have been used. The bioproductive performance registered by the fattening swine have proved that the optimal levels of iron are of 60 mg/kg compound feed in the first stage of fattening and of 40 mg/kg in the second stage, respectively the copper's level is of 4 mg/kg in the first stage and 3 mg/kg in the second stage. The established values obtained experimentally demonstrates an accumulation of radioactive iron and copper bigger in liver, blood and muscles. Regarding the organoleptical properties, the colour of the meat at these levels of iron and copper considered optimal, had the corresponding values of a quality meat (2.8-3.0 according to the Canadian standard). Analysis of turnover involves the causal relationships between different factors (quantity, quality and structure) and changes in economic and financial phenomenon. Such a study is required arguments for a set of management measures geared towards improving work farms analyzed. The evolution over time in turnover was based on known statistical models. The period considered in the study farm is 2007-2008, and turnover analysis refers to the business of delivering fresh and frozen fish. Following the study found that modification of fish production during the two years the level of the average price of delivery and, ultimately, turnover of the holding. Thus in 2007, fresh fish represented 56% of the total quantity of fish delivered, in 2008 the share of fresh fish delivered was only 45.5% of the total production of fish delivered. This change in structure has helped to increase overall turnover resulting from the fish market in the year 2008 consisted of turnover from the sales of fresh fish 43.7%, 56.3% difference is that of fish delivered frozen. Study of average performances in a population have a huge importance because, regarding to a population, the average of phenotypic value is equal with average of genotypic value. So, the studies of the average value of characters offer us an idea about the population genetic level. This study have the principal purpose to analyse main body dimensions who are used in selection process: withers height, thoracyc perimether and cannon bone perimether, through the integration of individs in an evaluation class, in accordance with selection methodology. The biological material is represented by 29 Gidran horses, 4 males and 25 females, at different ages, owned by Tulucesti stood farm, representing the entire reproductive nucleus. The average performances of characters are presented in the paper. We can observe a small grade of variability with some differences between sexes.
