The influence of Nb2O5 additive on elastic and dielectric properties of NiZnCu ferrite is reported. The longitudinal and shear wave velocities were measured by ultrasonic pulse transmission method. The elastic constants increased as the Nb2O5 contents increased. The dielectric parameters such as dielectric constant (ɛ′) and dielectric loss tangents as a function of frequency and Nb2O5 additive composition for all samples at room temperature. The variations in the dielectric constant (ɛ′) and dielectric loss tangents values were explained using Maxwell–Wagner interfacial polarization according to Koops phenomenological theory. An experiment was conducted during 2021-2022 at the research farm of AICRP on Agroforestry, Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, Maharashtra to study the effect of growth promoters and fertilizers on growth performance of patchouli under nursery. The results indicated that the application of treatment of Konkan Annapurna briquettes (KAB) 4 + indole butyric acid (IBA) 1,500 ppm + gibberellic acid (GA) 1,500 ppm + Azotobacter 4 g per plant was significantly superior and resulted in maximum collar diameter (6.67 mm), number of leaves per plant (72.33), plant height (63.33 cm) and number of branches per plant (5.93) at 45 DAS as compared to all other treatments. The treatment also resulted in maximum leaf area (3,012.50 mm2) and survival percentage along with some other treatments. The present investigation was undertaken to assess genetic diversity in seventy genotypes of kodo millet. The analysis of variance revealed the presence of significant variation among the genotypes for all 13 characters. Higher genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV), phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV), heritability and genetic advance as per cent mean were recorded for thumb raceme length, number of productive tillers per plant, length of panicle, raceme length and grain yield per plant, indicating that simple selection could be practised for improving these traits. Seventy genotypes were grouped into seven different clusters on the basis of magnitude of D² values by Mahalanobis D² analysis. Cluster I had 51 genotypes followed by cluster II with 14 genotypes, while clusters III, IV, V, VI and VII were mono genotypic. In the present paper, we introduce the fuzzy Nehring axiom, fuzzy Sen axiom and weaker form of the weak fuzzy congruence axiom. We establish interrelations between these axioms and their relation with fuzzy Chernoff axiom. Eight genotypes of Wal viz., DPLW-46, DPLW-61, DPLW-10, DPLW-31, DPLW-15, DPLW-48, DPLW-51, DPLW-29 and their crosses made in half diallel fashion were evaluated to estimate the combining ability and heterosis effects for yield and yield component characters. The proportion of δ²g/δ²s revealed preponderance of non additive gene action for inheritance of all the characters. All the parents exhibit significant estimates for combining ability for one or more characters. The parents viz., DPLW-29, DPLW-15 and DPLW-51 were good combiner for most of the characters. Among the crosses DPLW-46 X DPLW-29,DPLW-51 X DPLW-29, DPLW-46 X DPLW-61, DPLW-15 X DPLW-51 and DPLW-46 X DPLW-10 were identified as promising cross combinations and recorded highest significant positive heterosis over mid and better-parents for seed yield per plant. Two parents namely Konkan Safed and Konkan Sadabahar were used to study inheritance of four qualitative characters (i.e., growth habit, flower colour, seed coat colour and seed coat colour pattern) and four quantitative characters i.e. pod length (centimeters), number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pod and 100 seed weight (gm). The qualitative characters were studied using chi-square test. The results showed monogenic inheritance for all four qualitative traits. Joint segregation was studied and linkage was revealed. The quantitative characters were studied by comparison of range, mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation in parents, F1 and F2 generation. The amount of variability generated in F2 for pod length was more than both the parents and F1. This result can be used for further selection of plant progenies for crop improvement programme.
