Abstract

Changes in the exciton binding energy affected lifetimes in an experiment to study the well-width dependence of the excitonic lifetime in unstrained InGaAs/InP and in strained InGaAS/GaAs and InGaAsp/Inp quantum well heterostructures. Time-resolved photoluminescent measurements of the radiative lifetime and its dependence on the quantum well width were made.
