The phase composition of composite ceramic based on aluminum titanate and additives synthesized by concentrated solar radiation by means of solid phase reactions and by the induction method is investigated. It is revealed that the additives positively influence the sample’s mechanical properties.

The mechanical properties of an aluminum titanate-based ceramic are increased by decreasing the grain growth kinetic of the initial material, which is synthesized by melting in a solar furnace. The thermomechanical properties are improved if the following additives are introduced: mullite, spinel, and a eutectic of Al2O3-ZrO2.

Oil and Gas industry in general and geological exploration process particularly is characterized by a number of specific peculiarities, which differit from other sectors of economy. We focused on search and identification of geological risks associated with oil drilling. During regional level risk evaluation a significant role was played by the fact that based on results of special processing of seismic materials abnormalities were discovered and these abnormalities propose the presence of hydrocarbon deposit (deposits) in the trap.Eventually, success ratio exceeded the threshold limit value more than 20 folds, i.e the risk of deposit absence was not high.Subsequent exploration of the deposit willshow industrial significance of identified deposits. It is possible that during drilling of exploration wells in Jurassic section other deposits are possible to be discovered as it occurred in Surgil deposit located in the adjacent tectonic zone (Sudochiy depression).

Oil and gas industry, being complex manufacturing system, is characterized by a number of specific peculiarities distinguishing it from other productive industries.The most significant of these peculiarities characterize oil and gas industry as complex, multi-staged, dynamic and semi-structured object and precondition occurrence of different risks at corresponding stagesof operational lifetime. Initial stage of lifetime of examined industry is geological exploration – geological and geophysical surveys and accuracy and reliability degree of explorationdefines reasonability and efficiency of subsequent stages conduction in decisive manner [1]. Therefore, identification, analysis and assessment of risk related to geological and geophysical surveys (referred to as geological risks) as well as its management in order to decrease risk extent to minimally possible and acceptable becomes extremely important and urgent [2].
