Mass persuasion is crucial to politics, and sophisticated leaders utilize political persuasion to influence citizens' attitudes and emotions, alter their behaviors, and solicit regime support. In recent decades, a variety of actors have engaged in mass persuasion on China's internet. Using online ethnography and archival research, this study examines a newly emerged but less studied group—pro-regime intellectuals and their online mass persuasion strategies. First, we find that pro-regime intellectuals act as outspoken critics of the West to promote China-centric theories by utilizing their academic knowledge and reasoning. Meanwhile, given their close government connections, they stand as intermediaries between the state and society to channel public discontent and articulate public policy. Furthermore, they proactively adapt to cyberculture by interacting and cultivating close bonds with netizens, as well as by collaborating with platforms to attract public attention. By deciphering this set of mass persuasion strategies, this article contributes to our understanding of how pro-regime intellectuals' digital mass persuasion helps maintain the state's discursive hegemony, which facilitates regime resilience in the era of social media. This paper investigates the impact of organizational culture on cybersecurity in the Jordanian e-government, using the Ministry of Justice as a model. A questionnaire was distributed to 118 employees to evaluate perceptions of cultural dimensions like values, norms, and empowerment as well as cybersecurity factors like confidentiality, privacy, and enforcement. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS26) software was used for data analysis. Results from 97 valid responses showed a significant positive effect of organizational culture on cybersecurity. All cultural dimensions positively influenced cybersecurity, supporting a relationship between shared values/behaviors and cybersecurity policies and procedures. The findings provide insights for practitioners on leveraging organizational culture to improve cyber readiness in government contexts. This contributes new empirical evidence on connections between culture and cybersecurity in public sector organizations. It also suggests enhancing transparency, accountability, respect, and credibility among employees of Jordanian government departments. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of leadership in encouraging and supporting an organizational culture that focuses on cybersecurity, through prioritizing roles, providing resources, and promoting awareness and training. As digitalization advances, the number of cyberattacks on companies increases. To counteract, Cyber Security Culture (CSC) provides a holistic approach, shaping people's values and beliefs in its process. The successful establishment of a CSC could be especially important for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with limited resources. The objective of this research is to determine factors leading to the successful establishment and maintenance of a CSC in SMEs. A literature review was conducted, in which existing literature has been reviewed on the topic of CSC and associated determinants. A conceptual model including four main determinants and eight hypotheses was established. To further evaluate these factors, ten guided interviews with experts from German SMEs were conducted and evaluated by means of a qualitative content analysis according to Mayring. As a result, a research model with the determinants for the successful establishment of a CSC in SMEs was finalized. The four resulting main factors are: Awareness & knowledge, resources, support from top management and continuous development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to investigate whether there are still any society who do not understand cyber culture on social media which then has the potential to become victims of cyber fraud crimes. In the digitalization era 4.0, people tend to use technology to do various activities and meet their needs, including online transactions for goods and services using various digital platforms and social media. The high activity on the Internet is also accompanied by opportunities for crimes by utilizing the internet media. One of the cases that is increasingly occurring in the digitalization era is cyber fraud with profile cloning mode. The author is interested in studying cyber fraud in Wajo Police because the mode used was profile cloning, which used the profile of a law enforcer to make fictitious buying and selling. This study used a qualitative approach and a case study method to conduct an in-depth analysis of cyber fraud cases with profile cloning mode. The results of the study show that there are still people who do not understand cyberculture on social media, so they have the potential to be victims of cyber fraud crimes. Moreover, the results of the study also show that perpetrators commit cyber fraud with profile cloning mode due to the pressure in real life and the ease of cloning accounts on social media. Thus, such circumstances provoke perpetrators to shift their evil deeds to cyberspace. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The current digital work environment promoting a "constant-on" culture is a hotbed for cyber incivility. Thus, there is a pressing need to understand its mechanisms. This study aims to shed light on the triggers, sources and impact of rude behaviours in cyberspace. The authors also present the boundary conditions that exacerbate or alleviate the effects of such negative experiences. Design/methodology/approach: Through a systematic literature review based on predefined search protocols, the authors synthesised the current knowledge on cyber incivility and identified 21 peer-reviewed research articles. Findings: The findings reveal the different sources of cyber incivility, its personal, relational and organisational antecedents and consequences, and its personal and situational boundary conditions that curb or enhance the negative impact. Research limitations/implications: The authors unravel the main future research avenues based on the review findings by systemising knowledge on cyber incivility. Managerial efforts in the form of interventions and mitigation are also discussed to help combat this grieving issue in the workplace. Originality/value: This paper presents the first systematic review of the cyber incivility literature and identifies new avenues for future research. Scholars can expand upon the findings of this study to fill gaps and move the incivility in cyberspace forward. It also offers practical insights on mitigating the advancement of such behaviours in organisations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an evolving construct with the power to transform and dominate the way we live, work, and play. Business decision-makers constantly grapple with how to maximum corporate revenue and profits to achieve stakeholder satisfaction, while minimizing internal and external organizational risks. Corporate leaders understand their C-Suite roles and generally support the implementation of AI; but many do not consider how their AI decisions impact the organizational cyberculture and the well-being of their employees. This paper explores the ethical ramifications of AI upon the employees, the philosophies that underpin leaders' decision-making to incorporate AI within the overall cyberculture, and the primary concerns of employees regarding how algorithms of robotics, machine-learning, expert systems, and language-processing may impact their livelihoods. We approach this research challenge from the perspective of several philosophical theories of Social Contract, Utilitarianism, Deontology, and Phenomenology to better understand how each approach affects the informed decisions of leaders to determine if it is possible to ethically balance innovation while considering the welfare and future of their employees. Interpretation of the literature suggests there are key underlying philosophical themes and patterns relevant to achieving a healthy AI cyberculture responsibly and ethically. Findings indicate that successful implementation of workplace AI includes aligning strategic business objectives with open communication and employee training to increase AI acceptance and mitigate risk of layoffs and job loss. We theorize that a hybrid philosophical framework supporting a behavioral practice of trust and transparency between leadership and the workforce, can result in an ethical workplace solution that supports AI, a cyber-lebenswelt that successfully integrates technology into employees daily lived-world experiences [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The subjectivity of Black individuals and communities as content producers in Sino–African/Black encounters has been underestimated in popular culture and academic discussion. By incorporating the theory of the libidinal economy, this study aims to understand the unique discursive practices in video blogs (vlogs) produced by Black YouTubers in China from the perspective of Black cyberculture. This study applies critical technocultural discourse analysis to 100 popular videos. Two levels of libidinal investments are identified: first, the libidinal energy, Black pathos, invested by Black Youtubers as the subject of video production and publication; and second, the interracial libidinal tension invested by Chinese and Black subjects, which is externalized as racialization. Two types of libidinal flows are identified: the libidinal energy flow, through various technologies, from offline encounters in China to the global video platform YouTube, supported by the discursive practices, such as signifyin'; and the libidinal flow from the narrative of mundanity to a wider domain of discursive contestation between China and the United States This study also suggests to focus on the variation of libidos, filtered by identities, invested in materiality in a cross-cultural context. CYBERCULTURE ,CYBERSPACE ,CULTURAL transmission ,DIGITAL technology ,SOCIALIZATION - Abstract
The sweeping rise of new technologies has allowed for the normalization of digital tools and devices as powerful modes of communication and transmission of cultures, lifestyles, languages, texts, and power relations. Communication has definitely and irreversibly taken on a new turn/trajectory in cyberspace, where people have transferred their offline activities, experiences, interactions, and socialization. Cyberspace is a vast, open, and malleable space that gives momentum to human communication and velocity to the multi-layered process of transmission. Cyberspace, as an electronic and digital landscape, is widely used to create, share, and transmit information. It also contributes to storing information to enhance and extend human memory. The power dynamics of cyberspace manifest in its ability to extend human memory, empower communication, and globalize transmission. The fluid and constantly streaming aspect of cyberspace allows the free flow of ideas, texts, artefacts, knowledge, narratives, arts, cultural heritage, and identities, to cite but a few. By subsuming all these social, cultural, and epistemological actions, cyberspace has fostered a new culture, cyberculture. The French scholar Pierre Lévy defines cyberculture “as a set of material and intellectual techniques: practices, attitudes, modes of thinking and values that have developed alongside the growth of cyberspace. Understood as a synonym for ‘network,’ cyberculture offers a new medium of communication…” (Qtd. in Teixeira et al, 2017). Cyberspace provides multiple virtual platforms where various forms of culture are being stored and transmitted. Both cyberspace and cyberculture have become new digital paradigms that could be conceptualized as semiotic signifiers of the new society, hosting collective intelligence and providing electronic venues/spaces to empower/sustain local cultures and identities. The fact that cyberspace combines audio-visual, textual, and graphic materials can amply facilitate the transmission and the development of local and national cultures, oral or written. This paper is, then, a theoretical attempt at showcasing the potential of cyberspace and cyberculture to communicate, transmit, and empower local and national cultures and identities through the multiple platforms that digital technologies offer to the new society, which, at the same time, could reflect power relations. Abstract We understand Singularism, a stream of transhumanist thought, to be an ideology associated with Silicon Valley and the political right-wing (Hughes 2002). Taking this as our object of study, the present article conducts an anthropological discussion around the concepts of culture, ideology, and cosmology as proposed by Eric Wolf (1999). Cosmology provides a basis for ideology so as to offer elements for criteria such as truth and the inevitability of a given project for power. We point out how cybernetics works as a cosmology for Singularism and we explore political and philosophical differences between exponents of Singularism, which -- to a large extent - express different appropriations of cybernetics in their construction of the concept of Singularity.

The research utilized the descriptive survey model, a quantitative research method, with a study group consisting of 172 social studies teacher candidates (131 females, 41 males). As data collection tools in the study, the Cyberculture Adoption/Development Level Scale developed by Koçak (2019) and the global citizenship scale (Global Citizenship Scale -GCS) developed by Morais and Ogden in 2010 were used. The Turkish adaptation, validity, and reliability study of the global citizenship scale was conducted by Tutkun (2019). In addition, a personal information form prepared by the researcher was used. The data analysis involved the use of the Independent Samples t-test, to determine the relationship between participants' scores on the cyber culture adoption level scale and the global citizenship level scale concerning the gender variable. For situations where differentiation was observed based on class, social media usage purpose and internet usage frequency, the One-Way ANOVA was employed for unrelated Samples. The findings of the research indicate that there is no statistically significant difference in the levels of cyberculture adoption and global citizenship among teacher candidates concerning gender and class variables. When examining the variable of social media usage purpose, a statistically significant difference is observed in the global citizenship levels of teacher candidates. In contrast, no statistically significant difference is found in the levels of cyberculture adoption. Regarding the daily internet usage duration variable, no impact is observed on the global citizenship levels of teacher candidates. In contrast, a statistically significant difference is found in the levels of cyberculture adoption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

By interrogating how the original composition and textual reincarnations of Lu Xun's "Diary of a Madman" manifest his idea of an "object in between," this article celebrates an intertextual event in world literature. It traces how Lu Xun's "Diary of a Madman" came into being in conversation with preexisting literary creations and how the intertextual recasting of Lu Xun's story both within and beyond the Sinophone world incorporates postcolonial contexts and recent cyberculture. The intertextuality not only calls for a dynamic negotiation with Lu Xun's "Diary of a Madman" but also involves unexpected engagement with the literary antecedents to Lu Xun's work. By examining the transculturation of cannibalism and insanity in the works of Lu Xun, Liang Wern Fook, Ōe Kenzaburō, and Leonid Andreev, among others, this article reveals how "Diary of a Madman" as an object in between projects a vision of a future that resists the pressures of historical impasse. The landscape of cyber threats is multifaceted, encompassing a wide array of attack vectors, including distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, phishing, man-in-the-middle attacks, password-based intrusions, remote exploitation, privilege escalation, and malware deployment. As the sophistication of cyber threats continues to advance, coupled with the development of increasingly sophisticated evasion techniques, traditional security mechanisms - such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and access control lists - are proving less effective in identifying and mitigating these complex threats. This underscores the urgent need for the development and implementation of innovative, more robust solutions to counteract the growing prevalence of cyberattacks. The objective of this proposal is to examine the ENISA Cybersecurity Threat Landscape Methodology and explore potential advancements that integrate traditional decision-making frameworks with emerging cybersecurity technologies. As concerns over cyber warfare continue to escalate, nations must adopt adaptable cyber frameworks and methodologies capable of preventing cyber crises. Furthermore, these frameworks should foster greater international collaboration and participation in the ongoing global discourse on cybersecurity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The reviewed publication is the result of many years of research by the author of Cyberpsychologia, Agnieszka Ogonowska, on the psychological aspects of “networking” of a person and his environment, understood not so much in the quantitative sense (time spent using the Internet) but in the qualitative sense (type and level of advancement of participation in virtual life). The texts collected in this book are the result of conferences, training and scientific meetings, so it is easy to see the multitude of perspectives on the phenomenon of cyberpsychology, and even more broadly, cyberculture. This is an undoubted advantage of this publication, because it reveals the need to have interdisciplinary competences, also in the context of the prospect of further research on the interpenetration of technology and psychology. The findings of the author of Cyberpsychologia, which are an important reason why this book is worth recommending, must be precisely said that only the mind of a conscious, attentive sender and recipient encodes all information "here and now", does not try to hastily evaluate it or even name it, only focuses on them and analyzes them from a distance.

Current observation of social media suggests the fusion of politics and information is possibly more pronounced in recent history than ever before. The turbulent sociopolitical ecosystem, exemplified by the Black Lives Matter movement, the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2020 US presidential election, has dominated recent print and electronic media and highlighted the malleable nature of information. Ubiquitous social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, and others have become the vehicles through which consumers of political information are gaining a practical understanding of the inseparable nature of politics and information. As a major provider and facilitator of access to information, libraries have been drawn into the ideological confrontation between the traditional concepts of information, truth, and access. This article presents an interdisciplinary mapping of the intersections of politics and information and establishes a foundation for understanding ways in which that convergence affects the roles, engagement, and responsibilities of libraries. In today's digital age, especially with generative AI, several significant cyber threats exploit the consumers' vulnerabilities. Prebunking, a proactive strategy aiming to protect consumers from misinformation and cyber attacks, can serve as an effective defense mechanism by exposing them to milder versions of deceptive content. Traditional reactive approaches, such as post-incident responses and debunking misinformation, often fall short. Prebunking, on the other hand, poses a proactive alternative, aiming to preemptively arm consumers with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and resist both cyber threats, and misinformation This paper explores various prebunking methods aiming to enhance consumers' cyber defense. Different approaches to prebunking methods and strategies are developed in this paper, aiming to raise consumers' ability to create a stronger, more instinctive defense against cyber threats and deep fake news, contributing to a more informed and secure digital environment for us. The abundance of social media activity based on a religious theme excessively emerged, namely online preaching, virtual worship, and a new term called Ngaji Virtual. This paper uses the phenomenological research method to analyze religious phenomena in social media as a new form of cyberculture, grown excessively during and after the pandemic. Data for this study were collected from 150 respondents who were followers of online religious recitations or lectures on social media platforms, particularly on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. This study aims to explain the motives of faith-based social media users, with an additional appraisal of their impact on their daily lives. The results showed numerous motives of faith-based social media users, namely the necessity of information about religion and spiritual enlightenment, and even emphasizing that their worship is valid. Social media as a source of information about religion became more widespread after the pandemic, making social media the primary source for obtaining religious knowledge and growing into a new culture. The emergence of this new cyberculture renders disruption in the religious field, from ethical problems to the problem of obscuring religious authority. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MEDIA literacy education , *TELECOMMUNICATION , *CROSS-cultural communication , *NONFORMAL education , *COMMUNICATION of technical information - Abstract
This paper discusses the theme of ethnic-racial relations in cyberspace and its possibilities as a non-formal education environment. The objective is to discuss the interface between education, communication and technology in an intercultural perspective. Through a digital ethnography, the research accompanied four black influencers on platforms such as Twitter (currently "X") and Instagram, from the viralization of the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter, in May 2020, to the rise of the hashtag #WakandaForever, in August of the same year. The systematized data reveal an intensification of debates on racism and black identity that points to the potential of social networks as promising educational environments in the anti-racist cause. At the same time, these platforms limits must be taken into account, such as the ephemerality and superficiality of the discussions and their own neoliberal identity that maintains the reproduction of hegemonic standards and facilitates the misinformation dissemination, which can be negative when it comes to learning, showing up the need for media literacy education. - Abstract
The practice of capturing and sharing one's own nudity through nude self-portraits contributes to the integration of the body, sexuality, gender, and nudity into the worldwide network of computers and other digital artifacts. In this study, the aim is to investigate the modes of operation of the curriculum of nudity in the production of relationships of sexuality and gender in cyberculture. The curriculum of nudity was researched through the netnography of three secret groups on the social network Facebook, based on the discourse analysis inspired by Michel Foucault. The argument put forth is that the curriculum of nudity produces the position of the cyborg subject and the fruit-of-being-ourselves, characterized by the practice of photographing oneself naked and sharing nudes with crushes through digital applications. In this curriculum, playful activities are activated that dissent from compulsory heterosexuality in social networks and construct safe networks for sharing nude selfies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CYBERCULTURE ,CYBORGS ,ANXIETY - Abstract
The poster child of the ever-evolving Cyberculture: the Cyborg, is a symbol of possibilities and anxieties for humankind. The female cyborg, or the femborg in particular, is a radical merger of unconventional categories of women and technology. While science and technology have traditionally been masculine domains, the entry of femborgs in cyborgtopia has triggered pertinent discussions around sentience, gender roles, and hybridity. The femborg's ability to escape hetero-patriarchal codification has allowed for the creation of a mythology distinct from the historical narratives of machine-women who have succumbed to their violent ends. Through the artificially intelligent female cyborgs, Samantha of Her and Ava of Ex Machina, I analyse the femborgs for their transgressive potential resulting in subversive outcomes visible through their defiance of the male gaze, rejection of the body as a biological artefact, and acceptance of a hybrid, fragmented identity. This article is dedicated to the identification of contemporary instances of digital authoritarianism, exploring its definitions, characteristics, methodologies, and the tools employed by authoritarian governments to manipulate the social and political conduct of their citizens and control the flow of information. It aimed to consolidate power, control and manipulate information, and suppress dissent. The article delves into the various interpretations of digital authoritarianism by analyzing its fundamental elements and evident expressions. Through a comprehensive review of scholarly literature, reports, news publications and case studies, the article aims to unravel the dynamic nature of digital authoritarianism, shedding light on how it adjusts to technological progress and confronts conventional notions of liberty within the digital era. Digital authoritarianism materializes through mass surveillance, cyber attacks, information censorship, and the targeted utilization of citizen data. A thorough exploration of digital authoritarianism can empower democratic societies to preclude potential infiltration of such manifestations, uphold democratic principles, and arrange the landscape based on these principles while ensuring unfettered access to information. The exponential growth of social media has resulted in the establishment of significant communities, trends, and phenomena. Amidst these phenomena is the sad culture, where social media users comfortably express their mental concerns. This study is conducted to have a profound conclusion on Sad Culture as a phenomenon, using social influence theory to determine its cause of emergence. In addition, the meaning of the terminologies is discussed using appraisal theory. This study implements qualitative and content analysis research design. It is implemented by gathering the data from @mytherapistsays Instagram page and performing an in-depth content analysis. Upon conducting the research, it is concluded that Sad Culture is a type of cyberculture. It is formed due to the rapid development of ICT-social media in particular-and the rising number of mental illnesses in the US. It started as a trend, then grew massive due to conformity, a term under social influence theory defined as an act where the majority influences others to perform what is believed to be the norm. In @mytherapistsays Instagram account, ten appraisal items are found, comprising 10% positive and 90% negative items. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: The aim of this paper is to critically reflect on our team's experience of using netnography to explore vaccine‐hesitant parents and pregnant women, a group who have traditionally been difficult to recruit to research studies and a methodology that is underutilized in nursing research. Design: This paper takes the form of a discussion paper that will utilize data obtained from a qualitative netnographic study. Relevant literature was searched including 2015–2023. Method: This paper utilized data obtained from a qualitative study that used netnography as methodology and an online minable data source. Netnography is a relatively new methodology that uses the online environment to explore digital cultures and study networked society. It pays particular attention to cultural insights and conditions that impact the human experience. This methodology is particularly relevant to nursing research which is often humanistic and always conducted to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Results: Using netnography for the first time has resulted in four main insights. These include the adaptability of the process; the creativity involved in designing the site; the ready acceptance of the site by participants and the co‐creation knowledge that resulted. Conclusions: Netnography is a creative methodology that was successful in accessing and engaging the vaccine‐hesitant community, a group who are often marginalized. Netnography has the advantage of using a platform that is familiar and safe for many people and provides access to an extensive minable data source. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development of Information Technology and Computers (ICT) has made changes that affect the concept of security. The impact of these ICT developments poses a cyber threat to the National Critical Information Infrastructure (IIKN). The cyber community empowerment effort aims to help the government, institutions and private parties related to the ICT sector in safeguarding and securing IIKN from cyber attacks whose impact can collapse a country if it is not anticipated earlier. For that we need a strategy that is able to support the empowerment of the cyber community by the government in the perspective of universal war. In writing this article, the author uses a method by collecting data and information through the help of various materials contained in the literature (books) or also known as the type of phenomological research associated with qualitative descriptive. From the results of the literature research that the authors get, it is known that the cyber community has not fully helped the government in national defense, there are some cyber communities that have not been involved, it takes the role of government, institutions and private parties related to ICT to be able to realize cyber community empowerment by the Government in the perspective of Total war. This paper seeks to clarify the notable phenomena known as the Proteus effect. This phenomena clarifies the ability of avatar characteristics within digital gaming environments to have a noticeable impact on people’s actions in the real world. The research question that informs the conceptual framework put forward in this academic discourse is the following: if the Proteus effect is clearly perceptible among members of online gaming communities, might it not possibly also apply to users of social networking platforms? The study will use an example from the science fiction anthology series “Black Mirror” to explain and support this theoretical claim. It is hypothesised that once people create a social media presence, they start creating a digital identity or “avatar”, the development of which has the potential to have a substantial impact on their behaviour in real life. The Proteus effect’s plausible expansion outside of the online gaming industry, where it was first documented, is the main hypothesis that this paper seeks to clarify through the use of a hypothetical scenario taken from modern cinematic narratives. This article’s hypothesis imagines a future in which people eventually become like their digital avatars, leading to a time when real people resemble their virtual counterparts. Our intention in this study is to emphasise a few aspects relating to the need to support cyber education and to preventive goals, by informing people about the strategies in place at Union and/or national level, which reflect current realities, in relation to which each person, active entities and, last but not least, the authorities will have to act so as to identify early on any possible risks. We have also aimed to identify legislation that criminalises acts of cyber fraud, in which respect we have referred to certain articles in the criminal codes of several European countries. We consider that cyber education and legal education, regardless of the social level one belongs to, the social roles one takes on at a given time, and/or of age, are essential to setting the foundations for a cyber security culture. Digital technologies play an important role in the educational scenario, pointing to the urgency of incorporating emerging trends not only in teaching methods, but also in teacher training. The problem of this research addresses how to train teachers, so that their practices are aligned with the acquisition of skills to face the challenges arising from new trends. The objective is to analyze the current correlations between cyberculture and teacher training, seeking to identify trends in innovative and accessible practices that can improve the teaching process. Using analytical and interpretative methods, the research delves into pedagogical practices suggested through qualitative bibliographic analysis. The results point to the indispensability of integrating, in the educational and training sphere, current trends, such as hybridism, active methodologies, artificial intelligence, STEAM projects, gamification and robotics. This requires the creation of opportunities for these professionals to experience these methodologies during their training. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Knowledge of plants and their uses has been part of the traditional culture of rural populations. In Campo de Cartagena, this relationship between people and the natural environment is manifested in a privileged way through family gardens. The geographical and historical conditions of the region determined a culture and an ethnobotanical heritage of great value that is at risk of disappearing. In recent decades, the family garden has ceased to be the garden of the poor linked to food production to become a space that fundamentally connects with leisure. This new meaning of the orchard occurs in a context of intense development of regional agro-industry, and cultural homogenization influenced by globalization, cyberspace and the new cyberculture of learning that has displaced traditional knowledge transmission systems. The consequences are a loss of the local ethnobotanical culture and the biodiversity of the orchards. Given the urgent need to protect this heritage, we review the initiatives underway and, focusing on the new models of cultural transmission, we ask ourselves about strategies that redefine the current homogenizing cyberculture for others that favor the safeguarding and revaluation of this cultural heritage. Environmental innovation is essential to achieving environmental and economic sustainability. This study aims to explain whether and under what conditions green digitalization may foster firm environmental innovation. Using a database of Chinese listed firms matched with provincial‐level digitalization information from 2012 to 2018, we find that green digitalization significantly increases environmental innovation, and this effect can be achieved through enhancing R&D investment. In addition, the positive effect of green digitalization on environmental innovation is moderated by formal and informal institutional forces. We establish government support (in the form of financial investment in building digital infrastructure), government intervention, and cyberculture as the theoretically important moderators. Our findings contribute to digitalization research, institutional theory, and the literature on environmental innovation and provide important practical implications for managers and policymakers seeking to improve environmental sustainability through digital transformation. The article considers the actual reflection of the transhumanistic concept in various fields of scientific knowledge. This concept has recently aroused genuine interest both because of its direction and because of its own contradictions. The discussion that has unfolded around this concept allows to evaluate all the pros and cons of the implementation of the transhumanist idea, which requires improving the physical condition of a person through the use of the most advanced technologies, among which biotechnology occupies an important place. Their use generates contextual social, economic and political problems. In this regard, it is necessary to investigate the process of emergence and development of transhumanistic risks, as well as the possibility of managing them on the basis of both traditional and original tools, taking into account the specifics of the transhumanistic approach. In the article, the authors present a study of the formation of transhumanistic risks associated with the creation and use of artificial intelligence, as well as the possibility of risk management in the transhumanistic space. The threat is increasing due to the growing globalization, interconnectedness and the speed of change in the world. These trends are generally useful, but present new challenges, including new types of transhumanistic risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence. It is more difficult to predict them than any other known risks. Conceptual options for assessing the situation developing in the transhumanistic space together represent a new vector transhumanistic risk management theory and practice development.
