20. Analysis on BDS-3 Autonomous Navigation Performance Based on the LEO Constellation and Regional Stations.

Abstract

The global navigation satellite system (GNSS) is developing rapidly, and the related market applications and scientific research are increasing. Studies based on large low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations have become research hotspots. The global coverage of the LEO constellation can reduce the dependence of navigation satellites on ground-monitoring stations and improve the precise orbit determination (POD) accuracy of navigation satellites. In this paper, we simulate various LEO satellite constellations (with 12, 30, and 60 satellites), along with ground stations' observation data, to examine the impact of LEO satellites on the precision of the BeiDou-3 Global Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) in terms of its POD accuracy. Using the simulated observation data of both LEO satellites and ground-monitoring stations, we analyze the integrated orbit determination for the LEO and BDS-3 satellites. The findings reveal that the 3D orbital accuracy of BDS-3 is 9.51 dm by using only seven ground-monitoring stations, and it is improved to a centimeter level after adding the LEO constellations. As the number of LEO constellation satellites increases, the impact on improving accuracy gradually diminishes. In terms of time synchronization accuracy in the BDS-3, compared to the results of clock offset using only ground stations, the addition of 12 LEO satellites resulted in an improvement of 49% for RMS1(root mean square) and 52% for RMS2 (standard deviation), the addition of 30 LEO satellites resulted in an improvement of 66% for RMS1 and 70% for RMS2, and the addition of 60 LEO satellites resulted in an improvement of 87% for RMS1 and 90% for RMS2. The integrated orbit determination of the LEO and BDS-3 satellites constellation greatly improves the accuracy of time synchronization. In addition, we also use simulated inter-satellite link (ISL) data to perform enhanced BDS-3 satellites POD and time synchronization experiments. The experiments showed that the orbit determination accuracy of the seven sta (seven stations) and ISL scheme is comparable to that of the seven sta and LEO12 scheme, and that the time synchronization accuracy of the seven sta and ISL scheme is slightly worse. The preliminary experiments showed that the LEO satellite could enhance the orbit determination accuracy of BDS-3 and obtain a higher time synchronization accuracy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Multipath effect is related to the observational environment of stations, and cannot be eliminated or mitigated by differential algorithm. It is a major factor affecting accuracy and reliability in GPS signal processing. This paper proposes a method to mitigate the multipath effect—MHGM (Multi-point Hemispherical Grid Model). The method divides the hemisphere centered on each station into a grid, and estimates the multipath error at the station based on parametrization of the grid points, which can be applied to different kinds of hardware and software system of GPS data processing and observation environment. The experimental results in this paper show that, MHGM multipath error modeling based on data from observations made improvements in the mean RMS of double-differenced observation residuals averaging about 71.3%, an average increase of 26.9% compared with the traditional sidereal filtering method, the positioning results of 1.7 mm in level and 3.0 mm in altitude are obtained for static observation using real-time kinematic relative positioning mode. MHGM proposed in this paper also can used to assess orientation of error sources around the station, giving guidance which may assist in the physical elimination of sources of multipath error.

Abstract

In this paper, a dual-level and dual-band Class-D CMOS power amplifier (PA) in a standard 0.18μm CMOS process is presented for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. With a tunable power amplifier stages controlled by a single bit switch, the proposed PA enables the dual-level operation, low and high output power modes. At the high level mode, all the stages are turned on, and at the low level output power mode, the stages are scaled while only part amplifiers work in order to maintain the PAE performance over a wide range of output power levels. Exploiting a tunable band matching network, the PA can also provide dual-band operation. Experimental results indicate that the proposed amplifier provides greater than 20dB gain, 16-19dBm output power at the 600/780MHz bands. The measured maximum efficiencies of the dual-band PA are 36.6% and 46.66% for the low output power mode and high output power mode, respectively.

Abstract

In this paper the Grid correction method (GRID) was proposed for the first time as an interpolation method of the double differenced ionospheric delay for GNSS Network RTK. The Distance Interpolation Method (DIM), Linear Interpolation Method (LIM), the Kriging Interpolation Method (KRG) and the GRID are described and compared in the aspect of their interpolation performance. It was shown in the tests that the GRID interpolation method performed better than the other three. For mid-latitude stations, its interpolation accuracy is better than 1 cm, and the extrapolation accuracy is better than 2 cm. Furthermore, the GRID method can achieve a good performance even at low satellite elevation, and also its interpolation accuracy can be better than 2 cm at low latitudes. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

Abstract

The hypoglycemic effect of water-soluble polysaccharide(FA) from fruiting bodies of Auricularia auricula-judaeQuel. was investigated on genetically diabetic mice (KK-Ay) from 10 to 14 weeks of age. Male mice were divided into 3 groups,the control group and FA-fed group having free access to the control diet or FA diet (30 g of FA/kg of diet). The food-restricted group had restricted access to the control diet at the level of the diet consumed by the FA-fed group. Compared with the control group, FA supplementation had a significant effect in lowering plasma glucose, insulin, urinary glucose, and food intake. FA administration also increased the tolerance to intraperitoneal glucose loading and the hepatic glycogen content. In the food-restricted group, the reduced food intake slightly lowered the plasma and urinary glucose levels, but did not improve hyperinsulinemia and glucose tolerance. This study shows that FA had a hypoglycemic effect on KK-Aymice, and the reduced food consumption was not a major factor which contributed to the hypoglycemic action of FA.

Abstract

The network real-time differential positioning technique is a good choice for meter and sub-meter level's navigation. More attention has been paid to the Global Positioning System (GPS) and GPS + GLONASS (GLObal NAvigation Satellite System) network real-time differential positioning, but less on the GPS + BDS (BeiDou Navigation Satellite System) combination. This paper focuses on the GPS + BDS network real-time differential positioning. Since the noise of pseudorange observation is large, carrier-phase-smoothed pseudorange is usually used in the network real-time differential positioning to improve the positioning accuracy, while it will be interrupted once the satellite signal is lost or a cycle slip occurs. An improved algorithm in the position domain based on position variation information is proposed. The improved method is immune to the smoothing window and only depends on the number of available satellites. The performance of the network real-time differential positioning using the improved method is evaluated. The performance of GPS + BDS combination is compared with GPS-only solution as well. The results show that the positioning accuracy can be increased by around 10%–40% using the improved method compared with the traditional one. The improved method is less affected by the satellite constellation. The positioning accuracy of GPS + BDS solution is better than that of GPS-only solution, and can reach up to 0.217 m, 0.159 m and 0.330 m in the north, east and up components for the static user station, and 0.122 m, 0.133 m and 0.432 m for the dynamic user station.
