Abstract

El proyecto "Arte y palabra. Fuentes del arte español de los Siglos de Oro" consiste en la creación de una plataforma virtual que reúna las primeras biografías históricas del pintor Diego Velázquez (las de Francisco Pacheco, Lázaro Díaz del Valle, Jusepe Martínez y Antonio Palomino) y que sirva como base de trabajo tanto en la gestión de estos mismos contenidos como en su consulta directa y dinamizada por parte de alumnos de grado/máster de Historia del Arte. Asimismo, su carácter virtual lo convierte en una herramienta idónea promover la elaboración de materiales docentes comprometidos a la vez que se desarrolla una labor de divulgación científica complementaria a la formación docente universitaria.

Abstract

Els Open Loop Recorders (OLR) tenen un paper fonamental en les comunicacions de ràdio, registrant meticulosament les dades crı́tiques rebudes durant les operacions. Serveixen com a eines indispensables, especialment en la reconstrucció d’esdeveniments on les connexions son inestables o es perden dades. Més enllà de l’ús operatiu, l’OLR també contribueix significa- tivament als estudis en l’ambit la ràdio ciencia, ja que es pot analitzar en mes profunditat la qualitat i les propietats de la senyal rebuda. Aquesta tesi encapsula els avenços en les capacitats d’enregistrament de la implementacion a l’OLR de la Deep Space Station 17 mitjançant la integració de programari d’alt rendiment i la implementació de metodologies d’enregistrament fiables que utilitzen patrons de disseny de programacio establerts. A més, demostra com aquestes millores permeten nous anàlisis, com ara explorar l’impacte de l’esvaı̈ment de camins múltiples en les telecomunicacions amb comunicació lunar., Los Open Loop Recorders (OLR) desempeñan un papel fundamental en las comunicaciones por radio, registrando meticulosamente los datos crı́ticos recibidos durante las operaciones. Sirven como herramientas indispensables, particularmente para reconstruir eventos donde las conexiones fallan o se pierden datos. Más allá del uso operativo, OLR también contribuye sig- nificativamente a los estudios en radiociencia, ya que se puede analizar un mayor conocimiento de la calidad y distorsión que sufre la señal. Esta tesis resume los avances en las capacidades de grabación de las implementaciones actuales en la Deep Space Station 17 a través de la integración de software de alto rendimiento y la implementación de metodologı́as de grabación confiables que emplean patrones de diseño de programación establecidos. Además, demuestra cómo estas mejoras permiten nuevos análisis, como explorar el impacto del multipath fading en las telecomunicaciones con comunicación lunar., Open Loop Recorders (OLR) play a pivotal role in radio communications, meticulously logging critical data received during operations. They serve as indispensable tools, particularly in reconstructing events where connections falter or data is lost. Beyond operational use, OLRs also contribute significantly to studies in radio science as additional knowledge of the quality and properties of the signal can be analyzed. This thesis encapsulates advancements in the recording capabilities of current implemen- tation at the Deep Space Station 17 through the integration of high-performance software and the implementation of reliable recording methodologies employing established software design patterns. Abstract

An enhanced database (RetroDB) of the Spanish wind energy resources, derived from a high spatial resolution integration with the WRF model, is proposed and evaluated. RetroDB provides hourly capacity factor (CF) values for the Spanish regions, along the period of 2007–2020, with an unprecedented spatial resolution. RetroDB estimates were benchmarked based on the ERA5 global reanalysis. A comprehensive evaluation study of both RetroDB and ERA5 estimates was conducted using surface and tall mast measurements, along with actual CF values. The extent to which RetroDB and ERA5 reproduced the CF spatial variability, distribution, and ramp distribution were specifically addressed. The results showed no differences between the global and regional reanalysis performance regarding nationally aggregated wind energy estimates. Nevertheless, RetroDB clearly shows a superior performance reproducing the wind speeds' and CFs' spatial and temporal distributions. This was found to be related to the higher reliability of RetroDB reproducing the aloft winds in complex topographic areas. Overall, the results clearly indicate that, in areas such as the study region, where the wind resources are mostly associated with topographic enhancements, high spatial resolution regional reanalyses are preferable over relative coarse reanalyses (e.g., ERA5), particularly for wind energy integration studies.
