2. A personalized system of instruction for aircraft performance

Abstract

A personalized system of instruction utilizing self-contained text material and combing the principles of autotutorial instruction with modified self-pacing was developed for a course in aircraft performance. The course material, contained in Appendix A, was applied to the aircraft performance portion (six weeks) of a 12 week course in aircraft performance, control and stability taught to 11 students in the Department of Aeronautics at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, during the summer quarter of 1976. the course results, summarized n Appendic B and C, tended to confirm the advantages and substantial value of this instruction method. In addition, the course material will be utilized by the Office of Continuing Education, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, as its program of offering basic background courses off campus in preparation for graduate study., http://archive.org/details/apersonalizedsys1094518236, Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy, Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited.
