In the current investigation, it is examined numerically entropy generation (EG) on inherent irreversibility motion of couple stress cold liquid with porous medium via Horizontal channel in presence of viscous dissipation. Present work was studied heat generation on couple stress liquid with porous channel. This work considerable importance in many industrial applications like “Control Mechanism in Material Manufacturing”, “Manufactures of Electronic Chips”, “Crystal Formation”, “Scientific Treatment Problems of Irrigation”, “Soil Erosion and tile drainage” are the present focus of development of channel motion. The formulated physical liquid equations are subsequently calculated by shooting technique with R-K-F (“Runge-Kutta Fehlberg”) scheme. The velocity, temperature as predicted via graphically. we found the velocity dwindle, temperature high production by an escalating statistical value of K (“Couple Stress Parameter”), Ec (“Eckert number”) and Q (“Heat Generation parameter”) respectively. Gradient constraint in addition to improve by an enhancement into Bejan number for various values of “pressure gradient parameter”.

In this work, we investigate the transient electromagnetohydrodynamic (EMHD) flow of non-Newtonian fluid in a narrow/micro-fluidic channel. We consider the couple stress fluid (CSF) model to characterize non-Newtonian behaviour. We present an analytical solution for electric potential and temporal EMHD flow velocity by applying the standard Laplace transform method using physically relevant boundary conditions. We demonstrate the excellent agreement between the present analytical solution for fluid flow with the CSF model and previously reported results for a Newtonian fluid. We analyse the transient flow velocity and volume flow rate for a wide range of flow governing parameters. We notice that the steady-state flow velocity magnitude is higher for magnetic parameter/ Hartmann number values than for the couple stress parameter values, which characterizes the flow's viscous resistance. We demonstrate that the contribution of couple stresses in the fluid medium is prominent in the combined pressure, magnetic and electroosmotic force to increase the volume flow rate, which contrasts with the EMHD flow of Newtonian fluid. We observe that the critical Hartmann number attains a fixed value (about 1.3) for higher values of the couple stress parameter due to the transverse electric field effect. The present work hold the key towards explaining non-Newtonian behaviour impersonating bio-fluid transport in the narrow/micro-fluidic channel under the combined effect of electromagnetic force and pressure gradient. The heat and mass transports are quantified in terms of Nusselt and Sherwood numbers, which are obtained as functions of the slow time scale. Effects of Prandtl number, Lewis number, solute Rayleigh number and couple stress parameter have been discuused in detail.

In this paper, we have investigated the chaotic behavior of thermal convection in couple stress liquid saturated porous layer subject to gravity, heated from below and cooled from above, based on theory of dynamical system. A low dimensional Lorenz-like model is obtained by using Galerkin-truncation approximation. We found that there is proportional relation between scaled couple stress parameter and rescaled Rayleigh number. Abstract: The double diffusive convection in a two-component couple stress liquid layer with Soret effect is studied using both linear and non-linear stability analyses. The linear theory is based on normal mode technique and the non-linear analysis is based on a minimal representation of double Fourier series. The effect of couple stress parameter, the Soret parameter, the solute Rayleigh number, the Prandtl number and the diffusivity ratio on the stationary, oscillatory and finite amplitude convection are shown graphically. It is found that the effects of couple stress are quite large and the positive Soret number enhances the stability while the negative Soret number enhances the instability. The non-linear theory predicts that, finite amplitude motions are possible only for negative Soret parameter. The transient behaviour of thermal and solute Nusselt numbers has been investigated by solving numerically a fifth order Lorenz model using Runge–Kutta method. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
