Objectives: This study aimed to assess the impact of on-demand versus continuous prescribing of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) on symptom burden and health-related quality of life in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) presenting to primary care. Methods: Thirty-six primary care centres across Europe enrolled adult GERD patients from electronic health records. Participants were randomised to on-demand or continuous PPI prescriptions and were followed for 8 weeks. PPI intake, symptom burden, and quality of life were compared between the two groups using mixed-effect regression analyses. Spearman's correlation was used to assess the association between changes in PPI dose and patient-reported outcomes. Results: A total of 488 patients (median age 51years, 58% women) completed the initial visit, with 360 attending the follow-up visit. There was no significant difference in PPI use between the continuous and on-demand prescription groups (b=.57, 95%CI:0.40-1.53), although PPI use increased in both groups (b=1.33, 95%CI:0.65-2.01). Advice on prescribing strategy did not significantly affect patient-reported outcomes. Both symptom burden (Reflux Disease Questionnaire, b=-0.61, 95%CI:-0.73 - -0.49) and quality of life (12-item Short Form Survey physical score b=3.31, 95%CI:2.17-4.45) improved from baseline to follow-up in both groups. Increased PPI intake correlated with reduced reflux symptoms (n=347, ρ=-0.12, p=0.02) and improved quality of life (n=217, ρ=0.16, p=0.02). Conclusion: In real-world settings, both continuous and on-demand PPI prescriptions resulted in similar increases in PPI consumption with no difference in treatment effects. Achieving an adequate PPI dose to alleviate reflux symptom burden improves quality of life in GERD patients. EudraCT number 2014-001314-25. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Despite social networks' prevalence and unlimited benefits, their adoption rates are still unsatisfactory. This cross-country research aims to examine the impact of network externality (NE) and fear of missing out (FOMO) on the continuous use of social networks, which in turn, affects users' self-esteem. To achieve this aim, a conceptual model is developed by extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2) with three new factors: NE, FOMO, and self-esteem. The model is tested using a quantitative research design based on data collected through online surveys from 841 social media users in Qatar and Jordan. The data were analyzed using partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that the continuous use of social networks is positively affected by performance expectancy (PE), hedonic motivation (HM), and FOMO in both samples. The continuous use is also affected by effort expectancy (EE) in the Jordanian, but not the Qatari sample. In contrast, NE significantly affects the continuous use among Qatari respondents, while this relationship is not supported among their Jordanian counterparts. More interestingly, the continuous use of social networks positively impacts users' self-esteem across the two samples. In summary, this research goes beyond what was examined in the UTAUT2 by investigating the consequences of continuous use on users' self-esteem. The incorporated constructs extend the theoretical perspective of the UTAUT2 by integrating new determinants of the continuous use (i.e., FOMO and NE) and new outcomes of that use (i.e., self-esteem). The reflection of the impact of these factors in a cross-country comparison provides insights into the variation in using social networks between different countries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim was to explore the factors influencing the willingness to continue using online learning to promote the healthy and sustainable development of online learning. Based on the MOA theoretical framework, a model of factors influencing the willingness to continue using online learning was constructed. 430 valid samples were obtained through questionnaire surveys, and a structural equation model was used to analyze and verify the influencing factors and action paths of users' willingness to continue using online learning. The results show that the greatest influence on willingness to continue using online learning is ability, then motivation, and finally opportunity. Interests and hobbies among motivation factors, course quality, perceived cost, and social influence among opportunity factors, and learners' self-efficacy and meta-recognition among ability factors all have a significant impact on learners' continued willingness to learn online, knowledge needs, and achievements. Access, level quality, and interaction quality have no significant impact on continued use intention. to conclude, it is suggested that metacognition, strengthening self-efficacy, building curriculum resources, and exerting group effect are to be improved.

- Abstract
Today, studying continuous clinical decision support system (CDSS) use is critical as continuity is a prerequisite to sustaining successful CDSS implementations. Previous health information technology (HIT) research has focused on HIT acceptance via information system-related constructs. Theoretical models explaining HIT use are limited and obfuscated other phases of HIT, such as continuous use in a clinical context. This study seeks to fill this gap by integrating context-related factors with IS factors in a theoretical framework that explains the antecedents of continuous use. To validate this model, data were collected from physicians after six months of using CDSS as well as system usage data from system logs. Threats to physician professional identity surpassed the intention to continue using CDSS, influencing its use by physicians in the first six months, and patients affected by the system influenced physician satisfaction with the system and, hence, their use of the system. This study reveals physicians' continuous use of CDSS and explains the effects of healthcare contexts on physicians' behaviour. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Instagram pages of public libraries were a suitable platform to establish and maintain communication with users and provide services and information they needed, especially during the epidemic of diseases such as COVID-19. The aim of the present study is to identify the factors affecting the willingness of users to continue using the Instagram pages of public libraries in West Azerbaijan province during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey of correlation type in terms of the data collection method. The research was carried out in 1399-1400. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, whose face validity was confirmed by experts in this field, and its reliability was calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient at 72%. The statistical population of the research included all the followers of the Instagram pages of public libraries in West Azerbaijan province during the COVID-19 pandemic, from which 20 active pages were selected, and the questionnaire was provided to them privately by the managers of the pages, and finally 212 questionnaires were returned. Descriptive statistics were used to determine frequency, frequency percentage, standard deviation and mean in SPSS software, and the structural equation modeling by partial least squares method in SmartPLS software was used to investigate the relationships between variables and test hypotheses. Findings: The findings of the analysis of path coefficients showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between perceived usefulness, responsiveness, social benefits and satisfaction with the desire to continuously use Instagram pages of public libraries in West Azerbaijan province. Satisfaction with the path coefficient (0.446) was the strongest factor in predicting the continued use of Instagram pages of public libraries in West Azerbaijan province during the COVID-19 pandemic. After satisfaction, responsiveness, usefulness, and social benefits, respectively, had the greatest impact on the desire to continuously use these pages. Interestingly, no significant relationship was observed between the variables of ease of use, expectations, perceived enjoyment, type of post uploaded, post upload time, content, social influence, and correlation with the tendency to continuously use Instagram pages of public libraries. The results related to the path coefficients of the factors of type of uploaded post, time of uploading post, ease of use and content on the perceived usefulness of users from the Instagram pages of public libraries in West Azerbaijan province showed that there is a positive and significant relationship and the type of uploaded post with the path coefficient (0/290) was the strongest predictor of perceived usefulness. Furthermore, the analysis of path coefficients showed that the relationship between perceived enjoyment and perceived usefulness on user satisfaction is not significant, but the coefficients of the effect of ease of use and expectations on user satisfaction from Instagram pages of public libraries in West Azerbaijan Province is positive and significant. In general, the value of the goodness of fit was 0/641, which indicates the appropriateness of the overall fit of the model. Originality/value: Considering that the desire and intention to continue using social media sites is an act after their admission and so far, few studies have identified the factors influencing the desire to continue using social media, especially Instagram pages in public libraries, the results of this study can have valuable scientific and practical implications for managers and policy makers in this field. Objective: In recent years, electronic reading and the use of e-reader applications have expanded. The purpose of this research is to identify the influencing factors on users' continuous use of e-reader applications. For this purpose, the proposed hybrid model based on the Theory of Expectation-Confirmation, Davis's Technology Acceptance Model, and Perceived Playfulness Theory have been used. Methodology: The current research is applied in terms of purpose and survey type. The research population includes students who use e- reader applications (Taqcheh, Fidibo, Ketab Rah, and Ketab Sabz). Among them, 300 active users of the mentioned readers were selected as the statistical sample of the research. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. This questionnaire is taken from a research in English, which was translated into Persian by the authors of this article. Therefore, in order to ensure the clarity of the questions and the correctness of the translation, its validity and ending were re-evaluated by the authors. In order to measure the validity of the questionnaire, the opinions of 5 experts and managers of e-reader programs as well as professors of information science who have scientific publications in the field of technology acceptance were obtained and applied. Next, to measure the reliability, a preliminary study was conducted with the participation of 30 people from the research community and the value of Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated, and the value of 0.908 (9.08%) showed that the measurement tool has a suitable and desirable reliability. The collected data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling method. For data analysis, use SPSS Version 25 and Amos version 22 were used. Findings: The research findings showed that the personalization of e-reader applications has a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of users. Also, the personalization of e-reader applications has an effect on the Perceived Playfulness of users. Among other findings of this research, we can mention the significant effect of usefulness and Playfulness of e-reader applications on user satisfaction. The effect of user satisfaction on the use of e-reader applications was also reported to be significant. According to the mentioned cases, all the hypotheses of this research were confirmed. Conclusion: Although more than a decade has passed since the emergence and use of electronic readers in the world, the use of this technology in Iran has been growing gradually in recent years. According to the results of this research and considering the competition of manufacturing companies, manufacturers are expected to consider aspects of personalization, playfulness, usefulness, and user satisfaction in designing e-reader applications. In this regard, a detailed study of the users of e-reader applications with an emphasis on age, gender, education and occupation, as well as knowing their reading needs, can help managers to know more about the design of user-friendly applications and make users continue to use them.

Aim/Purpose The research aims to investigate the factors that influence the continuous use of mobile banking applications to complete banking monetary transactions. Background Despite a significant increase in the use of mobile banking applications, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, new evidence indicates that the use rate of mobile banking applications for operating banking monetary transactions has declined. Methodology The study proposed an integrated model based mainly on the process virtualization theory (PVT) with other novel factors such as mobile banking application anthropomorphism and virtual process failure risk. The study model was empirically validated using structural equation modeling analysis on quantitative data from 484 mobile banking application users from Jordan. Contribution The study focuses on continuing use or post-adoption behavior rather than preadoption behavior. This is important since the maximum and long-term viability, as well as the financial investment in mobile banking applications, depend on regular usage rather than first-time use or initial experience. Findings The results indicate that process virtualizable and anthropomorphism have a strong positive impact on bank customers' decisions to continue using mobile banking applications to complete banking monetary transactions. Meanwhile, the negative impact of virtualization process failure risk on continuous use has been discovered. The found factors explain 67.5% of the variance in continuous use. Recommendations for Practitioners The study identified novel, significant factors that affect bank customers' decisions to use mobile banking applications frequently, and these factors should be examined, matched, satisfied, or addressed when redesigning or upgrading mobile applications. Banks should provide users with clear directions, processes, or tutorials on how to complete monetary transactions effectively. They should also embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to improve their applications and products with anthropomorphic features like speech synthesizers, Chatbots, and AI-powered virtual bank assistants. This is expected to help bank customers conduct various banking services conveniently and securely, just as if interacting with real people. The study further recommends that banks create and publish clear norms and procedures, as well as promote tolerance and protect consumers' rights when the process fails or mistakes occur. Recommendations for Researchers The study provides measurement items that were specifically built for the context of mobile banking applications based on PVT notions. Researchers are invited to reuse, test, and modify existing measurement items, as well as submit new ones if necessary. The study model does not consider psychological aspects like trust and satisfaction, which would provide additional insight into factors affecting continuing use. Researchers could potentially take a different approach by focusing on user resistance and non-adoption. Impact on Society Financial inclusion is problematic, particularly in underdeveloped nations. According to financial inclusion research, Jordanians rarely utilize mobile banking apps. Continuous usage of mobile banking applications will be extremely beneficial in closing the financial inclusion gap, particularly among women. Furthermore, it could help the country's efforts to transition to a digital society. Future Research The majority of study participants are from urban areas. Future studies should focus on consumers who live in rural areas. It was also suggested that the elderly be targeted because they may have different views/perspectives on the continued use of mobile banking applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Distinctiveness is a fundamental element of a protectable trademark, referring to its ability to differentiate goods and services of one person from those of others and indicate the source of origin. This component usually needs to be inherent, meaning that the trademark should possess this characteristic at the time of filing for registration. However, certain marks can acquire distinctiveness over time through continuous investment, advertising, and activities carried out by the mark's owner. The stance of different countries regarding acquired distinctiveness is not uniform, especially considering that trademarks are not of a single type, and we are currently witnessing the proliferation of non-traditional and modern marks that effectively serve as distinctive indicators with new approaches. This research employs an analytical-descriptive method, along with a library and field approach, to undertake a comparative study of this subject in selected legal systems. Ultimately, the research concludes that the significance of these marks has become evident today, and factors such as continuous use have been influential in establishing acquired distinctiveness. Additionally, the sufficiency or insufficiency of each adopted criterion in proving acquired distinctiveness appears to be dependent on the specific circumstances. Furthermore, signs of acceptance of acquired distinctiveness can be observed in the legal system of Iran. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to provide operators with measures for successful IPTV utilisation by identifying the quality of IPTV services for home training and analysing the relationship between consumers’ exercise satisfaction and continuous use to respond to the COVID-19 era. To achieve the research purpose, people who exercise at home using IPTV home training pro-grams were selected as the sample population. The relationship between efficiency, availability, security, and practicability, which are sub-factors of the service quality of IPTV home training, was analysed for exercise satisfaction and continuous use. The analysis methods include frequency analysis and Cronbach’s α using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0. Validation was conducted through correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model analysis. In addition, Harman’s one-factor verification was conducted to determine the common method bias. All statistically significant levels were set at the p < 0.05 level. The results show that efficiency, availability, security, and practicability have a positive effect on exercise satisfaction, and exercise satisfaction has a positive effect on continuous use. First, during COVID-19, IPTV plays an important role in helping consumers exercise at home and indoors. Second, the subjects of this study showed that individuals 40 years old and older are exercising the most. Therefore, it is assumed that consumers will continue to participate if they provide programs that young people can do. Third, since various human disasters, natural disasters, and other un-predictable phenomena such as COVID-19 are occurring worldwide, policymakers should try to activate programs such as IPTV’s home training that can be done indoors.

IntroductionAugmented reality has emerged as one of the main trends in the digital market in recent years (Whang et al, 2021). Augmented reality technologies, such as 3D spatialization mechanisms and sound adaptation mechanisms, eliminate distance barriers to information acquisition, add more enjoyable and entertaining components to the visit, and increase visitor immersion in exhibitions (Huang, 2021).As consumers' use of mobile augmented reality applications increases, it is necessary to strengthen theoretical and empirical insights to support this technology and understand its effects on consumer behaviors (McLean, & Wilson, 2019). Despite the rapid growth and increasing importance of augmented reality, recent research shows that managers lack insight into how augmented reality interacts with customers and need guidance to target customers who have adopted augmented reality (Jessen et al, 2020). A comprehensive review of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral responses in augmented reality shows that various studies have focused on benefits such as enjoyment and usefulness (Whang et al, 2021; Hilken et al, 2017). While things like the feeling of virtual presence, perceived value, attitude towards augmented reality, satisfaction, and experiential value have been paid less attention to (Kowalczuk et al, 2021; Nikhashemi et al, 2021). In order to answer the aforementioned research gap, the present research is trying to answer the following main question:How does a mobile-based augmented reality application affect the decision-making process in the real shopping experience?Literature ReviewMarketers are using mobile augmented reality apps to connect with their consumers in new and exciting ways. From a marketing research perspective, augmented reality is a strategic concept that integrates information or digital objects into the subject's perception of the physical world, often in combination with other media, to express or demonstrate consumer interests to achieve obvious organizational goals (Rauschnabel et al., 2019).Researches show that augmented reality enhances the consumer experience and drives their behavioral intentions Fan, et al, 2020; Kowalczuk et al., 2021; Nikhashemi et al., 2021). The research results of Whang et al. (2021) confirmed that the capabilities of mobile augmented reality technology evoke consumer behavioral and cognitive states, which in turn stimulate consumer purchase intention. However, their study did not consider the intention of continuous use of augmented reality, which is a major issue in this field. Because recent industry statistics show that about a quarter of augmented reality apps are never used after the initial download (Nikhashemi et al, 2021).In addition, purchase intention focuses on the extent to which consumers attempt to make a purchase after interacting with mobile augmented reality applications, while continued use intention emphasizes the extent to which consumers will use mobile augmented reality applications in the future (Lo et al, 2020). Tsai & Hung, 2019). Hence, it is critical to address the importance of augmented reality as a strategy to enhance consumer engagement and its responsive effects on purchase intention.MethodologyBased on the purpose, this research is applied, in terms of the type of data, it is quantitative, and in terms of data collection, it is descriptive and survey type. The statistical population was the customers of the Digikala online store, whose number was estimated to be more than 3000 people. With the available sampling method, 384 people were selected as a sample, and a researcher-made questionnaire (based on the Likert scale) was sent to them as an electronic link. 307 usable questionnaires were returned. Structural equation modeling with partial least squares approach was used for data analysis and hypothesis testing.ResultsThe data analysis showed that the factor loading value between the components of a variable and the latent variable is more than 0.4, which indicates that the components of this variable have been able to evaluate the latent variable well. Also, the significance of the factor load of each of the variables of the verification model is more than 1.96 and it is significant.Discussion and ConclusionThe current research was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of mobile augmented reality programs on continuous use and purchase intention by consumers among users of the Digikala store. The results of the research showed that virtual presence, experiential value, and purchase benefits have a positive effect on the attitude towards the mobile augmented reality program. In this regard, it can be said that the mobile augmented reality program produces and provides the content to the consumer that is more attractive to the user than ever before (Qin et al, 2021). The more customers engage with the content, the more likely they are to make the expected brand reaction (Park & Yoo, 2020). Also, perceived value and attitude towards the use of mobile augmented reality have a positive effect on consumer satisfaction. It can be claimed that mobile augmented reality allows users to see information related to customer service of various goods and products on any type of display around. Therefore, the more appropriate and up-to-date the quality of the designed system is, it leads to more people being interested and also more people using this technology and encouraging them to buy, and it leads to an increase in their satisfaction (Mclean et al, 2018; Oni et al. al, 2016; Chopdar & Balakrishnan, 2020). Based on the results of the research, satisfaction and perceived value have a positive effect on the intention to continue using and the intention to purchase. As the mobile augmented reality app enhances the shopping experience with the light and sound effects of a 3D movie, it allows stores and malls to transport their customers into a world of their own creation, combining elements of traditional online shopping with 3D experiences for Combine increased satisfaction and more accurate customer purchases (Chang et al, 2018; Chopdar & Balakrishnan, 2020).

This study aims to provide operators with measures for successful IPTV utilisation by identifying the quality of IPTV services for home training and analysing the relationship between consumers' exercise satisfaction and continuous use to respond to the COVID-19 era. To achieve the research purpose, people who exercise at home using IPTV home training pro-grams were selected as the sample population. The relationship between efficiency, availability, security, and practicability, which are sub-factors of the service quality of IPTV home training, was analysed for exercise satisfaction and continuous use. The analysis methods include frequency analysis and Cronbach's α using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0. Validation was conducted through correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model analysis. In addition, Harman's one-factor verification was conducted to determine the common method bias. Third, since various human disasters, natural disasters, and other un-predictable phenomena such as COVID-19 are occurring worldwide, policymakers should try to activate programs such as IPTV's home training that can be done indoors. Mobile payment has evolved from a basic payment method into a community that provides a variety of value-added services. These services are meant to encourage continuous use by enhancing the value and experience of the fundamental payment services. This paper investigates the effects of gamification on the sustained usage of mobile payment. Using a sample of 323 Alipay Ant Forest users collected through online questionnaires, we find that gamification has a strong and direct impact on the continuous use of mobile payment. Interestingly, despite the fact that gamification also positively influences flow experience, flow experience derived from gamification has no significant impact on continuous use. Despite the fact that gamification provides an enjoyable and immersive experience and raises users' awareness of the mobile payment app, it appears that the key utilitarian value of the app is still a payment tool with a focus on its convenience, security and versatility. Mobile games dominate the mobile application market in terms of the share of applications and total revenue. Organizations and developers of mobile game applications are challenged to identify factors that influence users’ intentions and continuous use of the games. From this perspective, we draw on social identity theory (SIT) and plan to identify the moderating effect of social influence on the relationship between user satisfaction and continuous use of mobile game applications. This study also aims to investigate the direct impact of social influence on continuous use of mobile game applications. We propose that social influence (compliance, internalization, and identification) will positively moderate the transition from initial adoption to continuous use. We will conduct an online survey in two phases to test the research model and hypotheses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Over the last decades, using e-learning systems as an alternative format of education for traditional classroom has been growing in higher education and due to COVID-19 pandemic, this transition has been unprecedently accelerated. Although there is a large body of research on e-learning, little is known about the extent to which innovative and continuous use of e-learning systems can be influenced by students' social and motivational factors especially their relational identity and autotelic experience. This study collected data from 400 higher education students through a survey to explore the role of students' relational identity and autotelic experiences regarding their innovative and continuous use of e-learning systems while considering the mediating role of students' perception of relatedness. Collected data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling method. The results showed that students' relational identity and autotelic experience significantly influence the innovative and continuous use of e-learning. The results showed that relational identity and autotelic experience positivly associatewith innovative (β = 0.190, t = 3.544; β = 0.405, t = 7.973) and continuous use of e-learning (β = 0.188, t = 3.115; β = 0.344, t = 7.459) and relatedness plays a moderating role between relational identity and continuous use (β = 0.194, t = 4.500, p = 0.000). Relatedness weakens the relationship between relational identity and innovative use of e-learning. However, it reinforces the relationship between relational identity and the continuous use of e-learning. It was found that relatedness strengthens the relationship between autotelic experience with innovative and continuous use of e-learning. The results of this study provide evidence of how students' social and motivational factors can influence their approaches to the innovative and continuous use of e-learning systems. We discuss these results and provide agenda for future practical and professional work. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Objective: The exponential growth of information technology has changed the financial sector globally. In the financial sector, electronic banking has emerged as an emerging technology and cannot be ignored in the banking sector . Today, most banks are facing a completely dynamic environment, and all banks, whether large or small, have placed the attraction and return of current customers at the top of their plans, considering the sudden changes in competitive situations and market conditions . Undoubtedly, the central role of banking systems in the functioning of economic systems is undeniable. Electronic banking is an alternative banking channel with convenience, speed, lower banking fees and round-the-clock services to bank customers. E-banking services enable customers to process business bills, transfer funds and create online bank statements through an e-banking website. Also, customers usually intend not only to adopt systems and innovations, but also to seek continued use after adoption. In recent decades, in industrialized countries, the role of banks has changed rapidly and new tools along with new technology have become available for banking services. Technology continuum theory ignored technology characteristics and task characteristics that directly affect user behavior toward technology adoption. On the other hand, the task technology fit model does not include information system continuity factors such as confirmation, perceived usefulness, and satisfaction, and therefore the integration of the task technology fit model and technology continuity theory in the field of electronic banking user continuity helps theory and practice. The present study extends the theory of technology continuity with technology-task fit to gain deep insight into the existing phenomenon. In fact, an integrated perspective model provides a more complete explanation of the causal mechanism underlying the relationships that cannot be obtained from a single theory; Therefore, expanding the theory of continuity of technology with the appropriateness of task technology is suitable for investigating individual behavior towards continuous use of electronic banking services .This study is one of the few studies that integrates the technology fit model of the task and the theory of technology continuity and provides a more complete explanation of the causal mechanism underlying the unique relationships and insights. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the components of the developed theory of technology continuity on the tendency to continue using electronic banking of Sepah Bank in Guilan province. Method: This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the study is e-banking customers. The main tool for data collection in this study was a questionnaire and SPSS and PLS software were used for analysis. The questionnaire was distributed among the respondents. According to the purpose, this research is in the category of applied research. According to the classification of research according to the method of data collection, this research is in the category of descriptive research. The statistical population of the research is the electronic banking customers of Sepeh Bank in Gilan province. The sampling method in this research is proportional and non-probability. In order to continue e-banking, it is expected that the high level of technology compatibility will motivate the e-banking users to continue using e-banking services. Also, users who feel supportive technology will have a positive effect on technology use. In addition, a good technology fit facilitates the use of technology and increases the individual's work performance. Results: The research findings indicate that the components of the developed theory of technology continuity on the tendency to use e-banking continuously have been positive and significant. The research hypotheses also showed that the characteristics of activity and technology affect the suitability of technology with activity and perceived ease in customers. The relevance of technology to activity affects perceived ease and perceived usefulness in customers. According to the results of the research, the characteristics of the activity, the technology on the fit of the technology with the activity and the characteristics of the technology on the perceived ease of banking customers were confirmed. In explaining this result, it can be said that the expansion and diversity of banking services and the type of banking activities of customers have an effect on the fit of technology with activity, and it shows that users accept technology only when it is user-friendly and easy and helps to improve the performance of their tasks. Conclusion: The development of technology continuity theory confirms that the factors incorporated in the newly developed integrated technology continuity model are important and managers should focus on confirming user expectations and satisfaction. This study contributes to information systems literature in several ways. it extends the theory of technology acceptance with the technology-task fit model and enriched literature from the context of initial acceptance to post-acceptance behavior of the user's continued willingness to use the electronic banking system. the empirical findings show that the newly developed model (technology continuity theory and technology-task fit) has significant power to determine the user's continued intention to use electronic banking. The continuity of the electronic banking user is confirmed. Another contribution of this study is the development of technology continuity theory with task technology fit model. As the usefulness of e-banking increases, the more likely they are to continue their relationship with the organization. Also, if customers do not perceive satisfaction from the functions of the organization or institution, they will feel satisfied and this behavior will continue in the future. Therefore, it is important for website managers and developers to focus on confirming user expectations and satisfaction in order to increase the use of electronic banking. It is recommended for website managers and developers to focus on the responsiveness and usefulness of electronic banking websites in order to confirm user expectations. E-banking and the usefulness of the e-banking website will increase. Also, in the post-adoption scenario, managers and software developers should focus on factors such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, user attitude, satisfaction, and confirmation of expectations in order to ensure continued willingness. Increase the number of electronic banking users to use electronic banking services. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sustaining patient portal use is a major problem for many healthcare organizations and providers. If this problem can be successfully addressed, it could have a positive impact on various stakeholders. Through the lens of cognitive dissonance theory, this study investigates the role of health professional encouragement as well as patients' security concerns in influencing continuous use intention and deep structure usage among users of a patient portal. The analysis of data collected from 177 patients at a major medical center in the Midwestern region of the United States shows that health professional encouragement helps increase the continuous use intention and deep structure usage of the patient portal, while security concerns impede them. Interestingly, health professional encouragement not only has a direct positive influence on continuous use intention and deep structure usage but also lowers the negative impact of security concerns on them. The research model explains a substantial variance in continuous use intention (i.e., 40%) and deep structure usage (i.e., 32%). The paper provides theoretical implications as well as practical implications to healthcare managers and providers to improve patient portal deep structure usage and sustained use for user retention. Introduction and hypothesis: We aimed to compare on-demand and continuous use of fesoterodine 4 mg concerning efficacy and adverse effects. Methods: A total of 100 patients who were diagnosed with non-neurogenic overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome were included in the study. All patients were evaluated with MMSE, ICIQ-SF, SEAPI quality of health and OAB-V8 questionnaires, at the beginning, 1st month and 4th month. Fesoterodine 4 mg was started for treatment. At the end of the 1st month, patients who obtained benefit from the treatment were 1:1 randomized into two groups. In group 1, fesoterodine 4 mg was given 1 × 1 in a standard manner whereas in group 2 patients took the pills on demand. Both groups were evaluated for efficacy and adverse events at 4 months. Results: Final analyses included 69 patients. At 4-month follow-up, OAB-V8 scores were significantly improved compared to 1 month in both groups. Again at h months, no difference was detected between the two groups for MMSE, ICIQ-SF and SEAPI scores. In continuous usage group, 4th month MMSE scores were significantly lower than 1st month scores. At 4 months, dry mouth and constipation were lower in the on-demand group compared to continuous usage group. Conclusions: Compared to standard continuous usage, on-demand usage of fesoterodine showed similar efficacy with fewer adverse events. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The continuous use of Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) is a result of the immediate effectiveness in the treatment and relief of gastrointestinal discomforts faced by users, especially those who make use of polypharmacy, such as the elderly. However, researches point out possible risks in face of the prolonged and/or indiscriminate administration of these drugs. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the implications of the prolonged use of PPI's, confronting possible health risks such as: changes in the stomach microbiota, nutritional malabsorption, immunological vulnerability associated with the susceptibility of proliferation of infections and viral, fungal and even viral diseases. gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Through a literature review, we sought to discuss the damage most potentially resulting from extensive treatment with PPIs and the various pathogenic susceptibilities for the human body. For this study, a bibliographic survey was carried out in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Korean and French, in the following databases: Scielo, PubMed, PEBMED, NCBI, SAGE and CAPES. The time frame included in the research included scientific articles from 2015 to 2021. Next, results were raised to highlight the real risks and recommendations, with a view to solving the problem studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During the later years of technological innovation, e-learning systems have demonstrated to be an effective way to improve perceived educational quality and overcome time and place constraints. Virtual communication, instruction and evaluation have become an important part of higher education. However, although e-learning has been implemented extensively, its operation and success might differ between organisations due to institutional capacity and resources. With this in mind, the objective of this research is to distinguish between public and private universities, in the sense of the e-learning system quality and the perceived institutional support, as means to achieve users' intention to continue using e-learning. Analysing the information from 270 Spanish teachers and students in e-learning systems at public and private universities, we concluded that information, service, and perceived educational quality determine continuous e-learning use at public universities, while perceived institutional support acts as a mediator between the information and perceived educational quality and the continued use, in the case of the private universities. Valuable recommendations for higher-education institutions' management suggest that innovative tools for interaction and organisation, cooperation of public and private universities, and investment in technology and human resources are vital for continuity of e-learning systems. In an effort to help organizations understand consumers, our study deconstructs task–technology fit into two segments: ideal task–technology fit and individual use context–technology fit. Users’ continuous use of cloud-based bookstores is studied through survey methodology to collect consumer experience data related to the use of such cloud-based bookstores. In total, 185 samples were collected. Analytical results demonstrated that both ideal task–technology fit and individual use context–technology fit were significantly associated with the confirmation of users’ expectations as related to cloud-based bookstores. Expectation confirmation and ideal task–technology fit also have a significant link to users’ perceived usefulness and satisfaction, respectively. Furthermore, perceived usefulness significantly predicts satisfaction. Finally, perceived usefulness and satisfaction are also significantly associated with a users’ continuous use of cloud-based bookstores. As a result of this study’s findings, system administrators may foster suitable strategies for an improvement of users’ continuous use of cloud-based bookstores.

ABSTRACT: The global spread and use of the internet and mobile phones has contributed to the development of digital payments. Despite its growth potential, until now there is a lack of research providing a comprehensive synthesis and analysis of factors affecting the use, adoption, and acceptance of digital payment methods. This study aims to address this gap by providing a comprehensive review of the related literature retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science databases. Following a systematic method, a final sample of 193 research articles was identified and analysed. The results highlight that a single theory has failed to comprehensively explain the complex nature of electronic payment adoption. The key limitation of the existing theories is their inability to consider the role of social and cultural facets in the adoption of new technology. While literature reviews are a widespread practice in business studies, there are scant reviews that use the systematic review methodology that aggregates knowledge using clearly defined processes and criteria. This is the first systematic review on electronic payment adoption, which structures the existing knowledge and provides directions for future research.

COVID-19 has impacted educational processes in most countries: some educational institutions have closed, while others, particularly in higher education, have converted to online learning systems, due to the advantages offered by information technologies. This study analyzes the critical factors influencing students' satisfaction with their continuing use of online learning management systems in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the integration of social cognitive theory, expectation confirmation theory, and DeLone and McLean's IS success model, a survey was conducted of 181 UK students who engaged with learning management systems. It was found that, during the pandemic, service quality did not influence students' satisfaction, although both information quality and self-efficacy had significant impacts on satisfaction. In addition, the results revealed that neither self-efficacy nor satisfaction impacted personal outcome expectations, although prior experience and social influence did. The findings have practical implications for education developers, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to develop effective strategies for and improve the use of learning management systems during the pandemic. Objective: To predict serum segesterone (SA) and ethinyl estradiol (EE) levels after 364 days of hypothetical continuous use (without removal) of a cyclic contraceptive vaginal system (CVS) containing 0.15 mg SA and 0.013 mg EE.Study Design: We used pharmacokinetic (PK) data (n = 37) from a multicenter, open-label, nonrandomized study of healthy women (18-38 years) that used the CVS for 13 cycles in a 21 days-in/7 days-out regimen to develop a linear regression model to predict daily serum SA and EE levels for 364 days of continuous CVS use. We then determined residual SA/EE levels in vitro from 18 randomly chosen CVS used by women who completed 13 cycles. Serum SA and EE levels were also predicted for 364 days of continuous CVS use in another in vitro study. Results: After a hypothetical 364 days of continuous CVS use, we predicted daily mean serum levels to be 184 pmol/L (95% confidence interval [CI], 102‒332 pmol/L) for SA and 43 pmol/L (95% CI, 19‒95 pmol/L) for EE. We did predict that serum EE levels would not accumulate over time. Residual SA and EE in the CVS were 60% and 80% of the original load after 13 cycles, respectively. Conclusion: The predicted serum SA level after 364 days of hypothetical continuous CVS use was comparable to reported levels at which no pregnancy occurred (>100 pmol/L), showing the potential of the CVS for one year of continuous use. Clinical trials on continuous CVS use are planned.Implications: Based on statistical modeling, the long-term, user-controlled contraceptive vaginal system containing segesterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol may have the potential to provide effective pregnancy prevention if used continuously (without removal) for one year. Further investigation is warranted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

Introduction and hypothesis: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ring pessaries under continuous use for > 2 years. Our starting hypothesis was that their use without periodic removal, cleaning or replacement for between 24 to 48 months after insertion is safe and effective. Methods: This was a prospective observational and descriptive study. One hundred one women who successfully completed the 24 first months of continuous use of a ring pessary were included and monitored for another 24 months. The objectives were to establish the percentage of patients maintaining its use 48 months after insertion, the reasons for discontinuation and the adverse events. Another purpose of this study was to determine the timing of replacement of the vaginal pessary in long-term users. Results: Of the women, 92.1% (93/101) had successful pessary use, and it was discontinued by three patients (2.9%, 3/101); 76.2% (77/101) of the women continued pessary use after the end of the study, and in 16 (15.8%, 16/101) patients, after pessary removal, the prolapse disappeared and did not recur. Forty-five women (48.4%, 45/93) presented some adverse events that required temporary pessary removal. The most common one was an increase in vaginal discharge (73.3%, 33/45). In four women (8.9%, 4/45), the ring pessary was detected embedded in the vaginal epithelium. In an effort to help organizations understand consumers, our study deconstructs task-technology fit into two segments: ideal task-technology fit and individual use context-technology fit. Users' continuous use of cloud-based bookstores is studied through survey methodology to collect consumer experience data related to the use of such cloud-based bookstores. In total, 185 samples were collected. Analytical results demonstrated that both ideal task-technology fit and individual use context-technology fit were significantly associated with the confirmation of users' expectations as related to cloud-based bookstores. Expectation confirmation and ideal task-technology fit also have a significant link to users' perceived usefulness and satisfaction, respectively. Furthermore, perceived usefulness significantly predicts satisfaction. Finally, perceived usefulness and satisfaction are also significantly associated with a users' continuous use of cloud-based bookstores. As a result of this study's findings, system administrators may foster suitable strategies for an improvement of users' continuous use of cloud-based bookstores. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PESSARIES , *URINARY urge incontinence , *PELVIC organ prolapse - Abstract
Introduction and hypothesis: The study was aimed at evaluating the safety and efficacy of ring pessaries without support under continuous use without periodic removal or replacement for the treatment of advanced pelvic organ prolapse (POP) in women for 2 consecutive years. Methods: This study was a prospective observational study. A total of 123 women were recruited in a tertiary hospital from January 2013 to January 2016. The primary objective was the percentage of patients maintaining the use of the pessary after 24 months. The secondary objectives were the reasons for discontinuation and the adverse events in patients with successful fittings. Results: A total of 115 patients (93.5%) had a successful fitting. Four patients died of non-pessary-related causes during the study and, one patient dropped out the follow-up so that finally, 110 patients were included in the efficacy analysis. Pessary use was maintained by 91.8% of the women at the end of the study. The adverse events rate was low (27.0%). The two main factors of interruption in the pessary use were: age (OR 0.93; 95% CI 0.87–0.99) and history of urinary urge incontinence (OR 0.33; 95% CI 0.11–0.96]). Conclusions: A high success rate and low adverse events rate were achieved in patients with advanced-stage POP with continuous pessary use for 24 months, indicating that a ring pessary could also be used without periodic removal for at least the first 2 years. This practice could reduce the number of control visits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Practitioners of blended learning encounter challenges on how to cater students individual needs and to increase their motivational involvement with the system. Therefore, this study aims to identify and evaluate the motivation factors and barriers that influence students' decisions to continue using blended learning based on Moodle platform. The study proposes a research model to gain a better understanding of students' behavioural attitudes, motivations, and barriers to the continuous use of blended learning. In addition, a multi-group analysis was conducted to examine individual differences between students from three different universities in Palestine. The findings provide a comprehensive understanding of students' behaviours and the investigated factors of the proposed model were truly significant in forming students' perceptions and reflecting their decisions to continue using such learning approach. Features of blended learning system were found to be the most significant motivational antecedents in relation to influencing students' perceptions and involvements in the learning environment, while perceived behavioural control and subjective norms were found to be the primary factors driving students' continuous use. Finally, the findings shed light on the impact of individual differences on students' perceptions and usage behaviours and suggest that these differences could be leveraged to provide adaptive usage decisions. The capabilities of the people, processes, and technology are important factors to consider when exploring continuous use to create value. Multiple perceptions and attitudes towards self-service systems lead to various usage levels and outcomes. With complex analytical structures, organizations need a better understanding of IS value and users’ satisfaction. Incompatibility reduces the purpose of self-service analytics, decreasing its value and making it obsolete. In a qualitative, single case study, 20 interviews in a major digital Scandinavian marketplace were explored using the expectation–confirmation theory of continuous use to explore the mechanisms influencing the sustainability of self-service value. Two main mechanisms were identified: the personal capability reinforcement mechanism and the environment value reinforcement mechanism. This study contributes to the post-implementation and continuous use literature and self-service analytics literature and provides some practice implications to the related industry.

Introduction: The key step in changing health behavior is understanding why users continue to use fitness apps. Therefore, we intend to investigate the users' intention to continue using social fitness-tracking apps. Materials and Methods: We identify two major forces driving continuous behavior. Expectation confirmation is the internal driving force and social comparison is the external driving force. A survey was conducted to test this proposed research model. We obtained 211 valid questionnaires. Results: Our results indicate that activity amount ranking (p < 0.001) and activity frequency ranking (p < 0.001) positively affect confirmation and that confirmation (p < 0.001) also positively affects the continuous intention of individuals using fitness-tracking apps. In addition, the impact of activity amount ranking and activity frequency ranking on continuous intention is moderated by expectation confirmation. Meanwhile, as the upward comparison tendency increases, the positive effect of confirmation on continuous intention decreases (p < 0.001). Conclusions: Social rank expectation and confirmation are the primary driving forces of continuous intention in individuals using fitness-tracking apps. Social rank is a meaningful and straightforward measurement individuals can use to evaluate their activity performance. An upward comparison tendency weakens the effect of confirmation on continuous intention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Along with the miniaturization of digital devices, consumer health wearables (CHWs) further decrease the distance between users and devices, allowing users to continuously track their personal health information (PHI). While this provides more control to users, history has shown that users' potential concerns (e.g. privacy) can lead to devices not meeting users' expectations and failing market diffusion. The existing literature has mostly focused on particular aspects that could foster or hinder adoption of CHWs but the big picture is still missing. Drawing upon the previous literature, we use a rigorous iterative thematic analysis to provide a comprehensive picture of any potential benefits and deficiencies that users associate with CHWs. We take the example of fitness trackers and conduct 16 semi-structured interviews that help understand the determinants on which users assess the benefits and deficiencies of CHWs related to their continuous usage. We identify 11 subthemes that we can attribute to three main user determinants (perceived benefit, deficiency, and privacy). Our results not only show the failure to meet privacy expectations as a particular potential hindrance factor, we further propose a new theoretical construct (perceived relativity) as well as a novel tracking motive (social tracking), both of which can benefit future research on PHI disclosure. We enable both researchers and practitioners to uncover and visualize user perceptions of fitness trackers, on which future design decisions can be oriented and user expectations be better met. Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women and impacts around 2.1 million women each year. The drug treatment depends on the type of breast cancer and severity of disease. But, continuous use of drugs often leads to resistance and thus need arises for development of newer drugs. In order to find out the alternative treatment strategies, the breast cancer cells are analysed for their behaviour in different conditions. Microgravity is one such strategy currently being studied. Both cancerous and non-cancerous cells behave differently in absence of gravity. So, it could be speculated that microgravity might be a complementary tool for future cancer treatment and may open a new window for clinical cancer therapies. In this review, we summarise the effect of microgravity on breast cancer cells as well as anticancer drugs for breast cancer treatment, drugs in preclinical and clinical phases. We believe that this review will provide a comprehensive report on many aspects of breast cancer research and help to establish the therapeutic links between microgravity and breast cancer treatment.

Over the last decades, using e-learning systems as an alternative format of education for traditional classroom has been growing in higher education and due to COVID-19 pandemic, this transition has been unprecedently accelerated. Although there is a large body of research on e-learning, little is known about the extent to which innovative and continuous use of e-learning systems can be influenced by students’ social and motivational factors especially their relational identity and autotelic experience. This study collected data from 400 higher education students through a survey to explore the role of students’ relational identity and autotelic experiences regarding their innovative and continuous use of e-learning systems while considering the mediating role of students’ perception of relatedness. The results of this study provide evidence of how students’ social and motivational factors can influence their approaches to the innovative and continuous use of e-learning systems. We discuss these results and provide agenda for future practical and professional work.
