The article investigates the peculiarities of combat training, which was a characteristic phenomenon among the fighters of the irregular armed formations that operated in the Katerynoslav region during the Ukrainian Revolution 1917–1921 It was a purposeful and organized process of military training and education of personnel. The experience of armed struggle, both in ancient times and today, shows that one of the conditions for the successful combat operations is a properly established process of unit personnel military training. Combat training is an integral part of it. The study of the irregular unit combat training experience is relevant. On the basis of the archival and published materials, the author distinguished the basic principles of combat training of Bolshevik soldiers, pro-Ukrainian and anarchist irregular rebel-partisan formations that operated in the Katerinoslav region in 1917–1921. In the article the time and reasons for the introduction of combat training in the Bolshevik insurgent and partisan formations are determined; organizations of their training places are revised, skills acquired by militants as a result of training are named. The peculiarities of the combat training of the pro- Ukrainian paramilitary forces and their weaknesses are indicated. The combat training of soldiers and officers of the Revolutionary Insurgent Army of Ukraine (Makhnovists) are evaluated; the main directions of their training are considered. The methodology of the research is based on the principles of historicism, objectivity and systematization. In the process of research and in solving the problems posed in the work the author relies on the general-historical methods inter alia the historical-comparative, historical-typological and logical. The study of the problem of irregular combat unit combat training in Katerynoslav region allows to understanding better the principles of the insurgent and partisan forces organization in the region during the Ukrainian Revolution 1917–1921. In order to find a scientific analysis method of anti-missile force demand, the connotation of force demand of multi-layer anti-missile cooperative combat was first defined, and the relative concepts such as combat unit, firepower layer, route shortcut and assault wave were described. Then, an intercept damage model of multi-layer anti-missile coorperative combat was built. And the computing method of anti-missile firepower overlaping demand was proposed, the computing method of minimum acceptable quantity of single firepower layer anti-missile combat unit and the total force demand of multi-layer anti-missile cooperative combat were given based on the studied thinking of force demand. At last, the example of anti-missile combat was set up, which was solved with LINGO software, and it confirmed the rationality of the proposed method and the effect of each anti-missile fire layer.

It is widely accepted many health and mental health conditions experienced by veterans may be prevented or reduced in severity through early primary health-care intervention, yet research suggests high levels of health-care avoidance in this population. The aim of this study was to examine the meanings military personnel attached to health and how these impacted health-care utilization. To achieve this, 50 hours of primary interview data were obtained from 13 Australian Army combat personnel undergoing rehabilitation, which were thematically analyzed. Results support previous findings that engagement with health-care services was perceived to negatively impact career and deployment opportunities; however, these issues were marginal to perceptions of losing personal agency when engaging with the health-care system for physical and psychological concerns, which resulted in mistrust of it. We argue issues of mistrust underscore health-care avoidance in the military and recommend primary health-care principles be incorporated into to garrison health services.

In the future high-tech battlefield environment, unmanned combat units are required to perform their own operational tasks in an autonomous, real-time, and efficient manner, and give full play to their operational effectiveness. In this paper, each unmanned combat unit is equivalent to independent sensor nodes, and the local unmanned combat unit group is regarded as a hybrid structure sensor network. The maximum similarity of nodes is used to select the first node of each region, Multi-round task scheduling based on TDMA time slots. To achieve efficient and dynamic scheduling of multi-unmanned combat unit mission self-organization in the battlefield.

IntroductionIntense military operations during deployment or training are associated with elevations in inflammatory cytokine markers. However, the influence of an inflammatory response on military-specific skills is unclear. This study examined the association between brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), glial fibrillar acidic protein, markers of inflammation, marksmanship and cognitive function following a week of intense military field training.MethodsTwenty male soldiers (20.1±0.6 years; 1.78±0.05m; 74.1±7.9kg) from the same elite combat unit of the Israel Defense Forces volunteered to participate in this study. Soldiers completed a five-day period of intense field training including navigation of 27.8km/day with load carriages of ~50% of their body mass. Soldiers slept approximately fivehours per day and were provided with military field rations. Following the final navigational exercise, soldiers returned to their base and provided a blood sample. In addition, cognitive function assessment and both dynamic and static shooting (15 shots each) were performed following a 200 m gauntlet, in which soldiers had to use hand-to-hand combat skills to reach the shooting range.ResultsResults revealed that tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) concentrations were inversely correlated with dynamic shooting (r=−0.646, p=0.005). In addition, a trend (r=0.415, p=0.098) was noted between TNF-α concentrations and target engagement speed (ie, time to complete the shooting protocol). BDNF concentrations were significantly correlated with the Serial Sevens Test performance (r=0.672, p=0.012).ConclusionThe results of this investigation indicate that elevated TNF-α concentrations and lower BDNF concentrations in soldiers following intense military training were associated with decreases in marksmanship and cognitive function, respectively.

The article is about recruitment for personal insurgent and partisan detachments of different political directions, which were active in Katerynoslavsk region in the 1917 – the first half of the 1920's, and which were considered as an integral part of the combat unit formation. Their common and distinctive features are investigated and peculiar features are highlighted. Special attention is paid to the role of women, who were a part of irregular military formations; also the main areas of their activity are mentioned.

Effect of high dose, short-duration β-alanine supplementation on circulating IL-10 concentrations during intense military training. J Strength Cond Res 32(10): 2978-2981, 2018-This study examined the effect of β-alanine as a potential anti-inflammatory agent during intense military training. Twenty soldiers (20.1 ± 0.6 years) from an elite combat unit were randomly assigned to either a β-Alanine (BA) or placebo (PL) group. Soldiers were provided with 12 g·d of either BA or PL for 7 days between 2 intensive periods of navigational training and restricted sleep. During the initial training period, soldiers navigated on average 27.8 km·d with ∼50% of their body mass in their packs for 5 days. Soldiers returned to base and began a 7-day supplementation program before departing for an additional period of intense field training. During the second period of field training, soldiers navigated 10 km·d for an additional 5 days, carrying similar loading as the initial week, performed tactical missions, and slept approximately 5 hours per day. Blood samples were obtained after the initial training period and after the second training period and analyzed for IL-10. Magnitude-based inferences that were used to provide inferences on the true effect BA may have had on IL-10 concentrations compared with PL, calculated from 90% confidence intervals. Data analysis indicated that changes in circulating IL-10 concentrations (mean difference 0.86 pg·ml) were possibly greater (57%) for BA than PL. Results of this study suggest that 1 week of high-dose BA ingestion may enhance the anti-inflammatory response during intense military training, suggesting a potential therapeutic role of BA during intense training.

Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran di Grand Asia Afrika (GAA) diketahui terdapat peningkatan kualitas jaringan setelah pemasangan unit COMBAT selama 7 hari. RSRP ≥ -95 dBm sebelumnya sebesar 75,70% menjadi 100%, SINR ≥ 0 dB dari 53,58% menjadi 97,54%, dan throughput ≥ 8 Mbps sebelumnya sebesar 48,12% menjadi 89,55%. Untuk mempertahankan kualitas tersebut maka dibangunlah small cell. Perencanaan menerapkan metode inter-band carrier aggregation pada heterogen network LTE dengan skema CADS4 sebagai pengganti unit COMBAT. Tujuan perencanaan ini adalah extended throughput dan agar kualitas layanan pada beban trafik tinggi tetap baik. Macro cell sebagai Primary Cell (PCell) pada band-1 2100 MHz dan micro cell sebagai Secondary Cell (SCell) pada band-3 1800 MHz. Hasil perencanaan menunjukkan telah memenuhi standar RF Parameter LTE yaitu RSRP sebesar -92,65 dBm, SINR sebesar 16,55 dB, throughput sebesar 1,062 Mbps, dan user connected 97%. From the measurement, it is known that there is an increase in network quality after installing the COMBAT unit for 7 days. For RSRP ≥ -95 dBm, the previous amount was 75.70% to 100.00%, for SINR ≥ 0 dB previously it was 53.58% to 97.54%, and for throughput ≥ 8 Mbps the previous was 48.12% to 89,55%. To maintain the quality of the network, small cells were built to cover the GAA area. Planning to apply the inter-band carrier aggregation method to the heterogeneous LTE network with the CADS4 scheme to replace the COMBAT unit. The purpose of planning is to provide extended throughput and so that the service quality at high traffic loads remains good. The configuration used is a macro cell as a Primary Cell (PCell) in the band-1 2100 MHz and a micro cell as a Secondry Cell (SCell) in the 1800 MHz band-3. The results of the planning meet the LTE parameter RF standards, RSRP of -92.65 dBm, SINR of 16.55 dB, throughput of 1.062 Mbps, and users connected to 97%. The paper is devoted to research the impact of non-linear force characteristics of the suspension on shooting efficiency of combat wheeled vehicles which are operated in difficult driving conditions over rugged terrain. Was conducted the theoretical analysis of the impact of parameters of the suspension of combat wheeled vehicles on the oscillations of body along with its combat module. Was made the comparative table of shooting efficiency with installed modules at linear and non-linear force characteristics of spring system. On the basis of the specified physical and the corresponding small-content models of the dynamics of the sprung obtained by in-form mknutomu analytical dependences that describe the impact-tion whole range of external and internal workers mounted on the dynamics of military wheeled vehicles combat unit.

This article explores the lessons communicated by a museum exhibition of an oral history, artifacts, and photographs taken by Susumu “Sus” Ito, a Japanese American soldier of the 442 nd combat unit in World War II: decentering whiteness, humanizing wartime experience, exploring inter-generational tensions, and resisting presentist assumptions.

To describe the self-adaptive character of combat unit (CU), which may not be able to give precise explanation by conventional mission measurement, we present a measurement method orienting to unsuccess prevention for CU mission. Firstly, the task characteristics of multi-phase and multi-level of CU are explained. On this basis, a hierarchical measuring system including measure of capability deviation, relating to basic task unsuccess and composite task is given by quantifying the disturbance. Based on unified measurement, the basic task unsuccess according to presumable domain from required domain is quantified, and the composite task unsuccess is also quantified. Finally, a case of capability deviation measurement and its impact on overall unsuccess are presented for check.

Military analysts use large simulation models to evaluate potential conventional wars. The proliferation of nuclear weapons has increased the potential for one or a few of them to be employed in a conventional conflict. While complex nuclear effects models exist, their damage levels and measures are not commensurate with what is found in conventional campaign simulations. In this article, we use simple range-to-effects approximations that can be scaled for detonation yield and height of burst (HOB) for the impact of nuclear effects on various combat unit types. We incorporate these relationships in the synthetic theater operations research model (STORM), a widely used conventional campaign simulation. We demonstrate that nuclear detonations can be integrated into campaign simulations and show the impact that a single nuclear weapon may have on conventional force operations.

In the future maritime information warfare, it is necessary to strengthen the defense capability of formation information warfare to ensure the security of communication and computer infrastructures. The integrated information transmission system of large naval fleet is designed to improve the information defense capability of naval operations. It has strong comprehensive defense capabilities of computer anti-reconnaissance, anti-jamming, anti-virus and anti-destruction. In the final analysis, it is to improve the security of computers.
