The realtime follow-up of neutrino events is a promising approach to search for astrophysical neutrino sources. It has so far provided compelling evidence for a neutrino point source: the flaring gamma-ray blazar TXS 0506+056 observed in coincidence with the high-energy neutrino IceCube-170922A detected by IceCube. The detection of very-high-energy gamma rays (VHE, $\mathrm{E} > 100\,\mathrm{GeV}$) from this source helped establish the coincidence and constrained the modeling of the blazar emission at the time of the IceCube event. The four major imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescope arrays (IACTs) - FACT, H.E.S.S., MAGIC, and VERITAS - operate an active follow-up program of target-of-opportunity observations of neutrino alerts sent by IceCube. This program has two main components. One are the observations of known gamma-ray sources around which a cluster of candidate neutrino events has been identified by IceCube (Gamma-ray Follow-Up, GFU). Second one is the follow-up of single high-energy neutrino candidate events of potential astrophysical origin such as IceCube-170922A. GFU has been recently upgraded by IceCube in collaboration with the IACT groups. We report on the expected sensitivity of dedicated scintillator-based detectors at the LHC for elementary particles with charges much smaller than the electron charge. The dataset provided by a prototype scintillator-based detector is used to characterize the performance of the detector and provide an accurate background projection. Detector designs, including a novel slab detector configuration, are considered for the data taking period of the LHC to start in 2022 (Run 3) and for the high luminosity LHC. With the Run 3 dataset, the existence of new particles with masses between 10 MeV and 45 GeV could be excluded at 95% confidence level for charges between 0.003 e and 0.3 e, depending on their mass. With the high luminosity LHC dataset, the expected limits would reach between 10 MeV and 80 GeV for charges between 0.0018 e and 0.3 e, depending on their mass. The Intermediate Silicon Layers detector (ISL) is a large radius silicon tracker, installed in the CDF detector for the RUN II of the Tevatron Collider. With almost 4 m2 of double-sided silicon sensors and 300,000 electronic channels it represents the biggest system of this kind ever built. The construction and installation phases, the performed quality assurance tests as well as the problems encountered are reviewed. RUN II of the Tevatron officially started on March 1st, 2001. Although the CDF silicon system is still being commissioned, results on the performance of the ISL detector obtained using the first data are presented.

The production of a standard model Higgs boson in association with a top quark pair at the upcoming high luminosity run ( $15{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ integrated luminosity) of the Fermilab Tevatron ( $\sqrt{s}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}2.0\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\mathrm{TeV}$) is revisited. For Higgs masses below 140 GeV we demonstrate that the production cross section times branching ratio for $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}b\overline{b}$ decays yields a significant number of events and that this mode is competitive with and complementary to the searches using $p\overline{p}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}WH,ZH$ associated production. For higher mass Higgs bosons the $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{W}^{+}{W}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decays are more difficult but have the potential to provide a few spectacular events.

We present an improved measurement of b-meson lifetimes using fully reconstructed B-decays produced in p(p) over bar collisions at roots = 1.8 TeV, using 114 pb(-1) of data collected at the Collider Detector at Fermilab. We obtain tau(B+) = 1.636+/-0.058(stat)+/-0.025(syst) ps, tau(B-0) = 1.497+/-0.073(stat)+/-0.032(syst) ps and for the lifetime ratio tau(B+)/tau(B-0) = 1.093+/-0.066(stat)+/-0.028(syst).

We present a detailed examination of the heavy flavor content of the W+jet data sample collected with the Collider Detector at Fermilab during the 1992-1995 collider run at the Fermilab Tevatron. Jets containing heavy flavor quarks are selected via the identification of secondary vertices or semileptonic decays of b and c quarks. There is generally good agreement between the rates of secondary vertices and soft leptons in the data and in the standard model simulation including single and pair production of top quarks. An exception is the number of events in which a single jet has both a soft lepton and a secondary vertex tag. In W+2,3 jet data, we find 13 such events where we expected 4.4+/-0.6 events. The kinematic properties of this small sample of events are statistically difficult to reconcile with the simulation of standard model processes.

We report a study of the decays B-0 --> J/psiK((*)0) pi(+) pi(-), which involve the creation of a u(u) over bar or d(d) over bar quark pair in addition to a (b) over bar --> (c) over bar(c(s) over bar) decay. The data sample consists of 110 pb(-1) of p(p) over bar collisions at roots = 1.8 TeV collected by the CDF detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider during 1992-1995. We measure the branching fractions to be B(B-0 --> J/psiK(*0) pi(+) pi(-)) = (6.6 +/- 1.9 +/- 1.1) X 10(-4) and B(B-0 --> J/psiK(0) pi(+) pi(-)) = (10.3 +/- 3.3 +/- 1.5) X 10(-4). Evidence is seen for contributions from psi(2S)K-(*)0, J/psiK(0) rho(0), J/psiK(*+) pi(-), and J/psiK(1)(1270).

We have searched for evidence of physics beyond the standard model in events that include an energetic photon and an energetic b-quark jet, produced in 85pb of ppbar collisions at 1.8 TeV at the Tevatron Collider at Fermilab. This signature, containing at least one gauge boson and a third-generation quark, could arise in the production and decay of a pair of new particles, such as those predicted by Supersymmetry, leading to a production rate exceeding standard model predictions. We also search these events for anomalous production of missing transverse energy, additional jets and leptons (e, mu and tau), and additional b quarks. We find no evidence for any anomalous production of gamma-b or gamma-b+X events. We present limits on two supersymmetric models: a model where the photon is produced in the decay chi2->gamma chi1, and a model where the photon is produced in the neutralino decay into the Gravitino LSP, chi1 -> gamma G.
