Abstract: The article presents a study on the use of Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) or holographic technique in measuring the Young modulus in mortars and concrete. It cites that a beam of known dimensions is made for the purpose that is excited with piezoelectric transducer which generates sound waves. The ESPI system captures and digitizes an image from surface of the free end.
