Overlapping bus lines are ubiquitous in bus networks, particularly in metropolitan areas. The overlapping of bus lines can provide convenience for passengers who wish to transfer. However, it also tends to cause bus bunching at overlapping segment stops. Moreover, overlapping of bus lines introduces additional complexity to the operation of bus systems. This study aimed to dispatch bus vehicles entering overlapping segments dynamically by adopting speed control and green light extension strategies. This ensures that transferring passengers experience less transfer waiting time and reduced bus bunching at overlapping segments. The proposed model considers environmental constraints on vehicle speed and the stochastic factors of passenger arrivals at a stop. Synchronization is maximized by controlling the speed of vehicles along a roadway and determining whether a green light extension strategy is enabled. The effectiveness of the proposed model was verified by applying it to a real overlapping segment in Harbin, China. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact on the lives of city residents and has reshaped working patterns, with a concomitant impact on traffic accidents. We correlated data from multiple sources to explore the impact of residents' mobility and residents' travel behavior on the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of urban traffic accident hotspots and its internal mechanism under the impact of the pandemic and subsequent policy measures. The results showed that the pandemic and policy measures inhibited the mobility of residents, had a significant impact on working patterns, and changed the composition structure of the purpose of residents' travel behavior, which substantially impacted the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of urban traffic accident hotspots. The quantity of traffic accidents decreased significantly, and the spatial distribution characteristics of urban traffic accident hotspots changed substantially, with accident hotspots changing from the single-center spatial distribution before the pandemic to the multi-center spatial distribution during the pandemic; urban accident-prone areas changed from being mainly distributed in the central business district before the pandemic to being more widely distributed in public service areas during the pandemic. Mega elliptical roundabout is a new intersection on rural multilane highways. This intersection was developed in a previous paper using simulation data, and the authors found that it is better than interchange (full cloverleaf) in most scenarios of traffic flow. The traffic operational efficiency of the urban expressway system will affect one of the entire cities. Moreover, the idea that traffic control can improve the traffic operational efficiency of the urban expressway system has been fully confirmed. At present, the main control methods include on-ramp metering and speed guidance control. Urban expressway, which plays a significant role in medium-and-long distance express travel, influences transport efficiency of an area in a city. The operation efficiency of an urban expressway system can be promoted by on-ramp metering (ORM). Based on ALINEA (asservissement linéaire d'entrée autoroutière) algorithm, this paper proposed an improved ALINEA method with a wavelet neural network (WNN) optimized by chicken swarm optimization (CSO). The algorithm integrates K-means algorithm to select key-point for dynamic multiple on-ramps coordinated control. The amended ALINEA method mainly aimed at solving the problems of the in-flow of the next control period and the mainline multi-lanes condition. Objective: Teenage drivers are more likely to be involved in severely incapacitating and fatal crashes compared to adult drivers. Moreover, because two thirds of urban vehicle miles traveled are on signal-controlled roadways, significant research efforts are needed to investigate intersection-related teenage driver injury severities and their contributing factors in terms of driver behavior, vehicle-infrastructure interactions, environmental characteristics, roadway geometric features, and traffic compositions. Therefore, this study aims to explore the characteristic differences between teenage and adult drivers in intersection-related crashes, identify the significant contributing attributes, and analyze their impacts on driver injury severities.Methods: Using crash data collected in New Mexico from 2010 to 2011, 2 multinomial logit regression models were developed to analyze injury severities for teenage and adult drivers, respectively. Elasticity analyses and transferability tests were conducted to better understand the quantitative impacts of these factors and the teenage driver injury severity model's generality.Results: The results showed that although many of the same contributing factors were found to be significant in the both teenage and adult driver models, certain different attributes must be distinguished to specifically develop effective safety solutions for the 2 driver groups.Conclusions: The research findings are helpful to better understand teenage crash uniqueness and develop cost-effective solutions to reduce intersection-related teenage injury severities and facilitate driver injury mitigation research. To bring insight into the non-motor vehicle's riding behavior mechanism influenced by curb parking, judgment criterion of serious traffic conflict between non-motor vehicle and vehicle (STCNV), non-motor vehicle's averting danger behaviors and the probability distribution model of the STCNV were put forward and studied based on the survey data on scene. Firstly, non-complete braking distance was presented as the judgment index of the STCNV ; the data of traffic conflicts and non-motor vehicle's averting danger behaviors was collected at the curb parking area; and the deceleration behavior was concluded as the main averting danger behavior. Then, the Poisson probability distribution model of the STCNV was constructed; the safety judgment model for non-motor vehicle's riding and its critical value calculation standard was proposed on the bias of the Normal distribution, and the safety evaluation was implemented for the survey sections.
