Abstract

Inclusive cross sections $\sigma^A=Ed^3{\sigma(X,P_t^2)/d^3p}$ of antiproton and negative pion production on Be, Al, Cu and Ta targets hit by 10 GeV protons were measured at the laboratory angles of 10.5$^{\circ}$ and 59$^{\circ}$. Antiproton cross sections were obtained in both kinematically allowed and kinematically forbidden regions for antiproton production on a free nucleon. The antiproton cross section ratio as a function of the longitudinal variable $X$ exhibits three separate plateaus which gives evidence for the existence of compact baryon configurations in nuclei-small-distance scaled objects of nuclear structure. Comparability of the measured cross section ratios with those obtained in the inclusive electron scattering off nuclei suggests a weak antiproton absorption in nuclei. Observed behavior of the cross section ratios is interpreted in the framework of a model considering the hadron production as a fragmentation of quarks (antiquarks) into hadrons. It has been established that the antiproton formation length in nuclear matter can reach the magnitude of 4.5 fm.

Abstract

The differential production cross sections of K^+ and K^- mesons have been measured at the ITEP proton synchrotron in p+Be, p+Cu collisions under lab angle of 10.5^0, respectively, at 1.7 and 2.25, 2.4 GeV beam energies. A detailed comparison of these data with the results of calculations within an appropriate folding model for incoherent primary proton-nucleon, secondary pion-nucleon kaon and antikaon production processes and processes associated with the creation of antikaons via the decay of intermediate phi mesons is given. We show that the strangeness exchange process YN->NNK^- gives a small contribution to the antikaon yield in the kinematics of the performed experiment. We argue that in the case when antikaon production processes are dominated by the channels with KK^- in the final state, the cross sections of the corresponding reactions are weakly influenced by the in-medium kaon and antikaon mean fields., Comment: 24 pages. accepted for publication at J.Phys.G

12. Study of in-medium $\omega$ meson properties in Ap, pA and AA collisions

Abstract

We propose to investigate the in-medium properties of vector $\omega$ mesons at the normal nuclear density in Ap(pA) collisions and at higher density in AA collisions at the ITEP accelerator facility TWAC. Using of the inverse Ap kinematics will permit us to study the $\omega$ meson production in a wide momentum interval included the not yet explored range of small meson momenta relative to the projectile nuclei where the mass modification effect in nuclear matter is expected to be the strongest. Momentum dependence of the in-medium $\omega$ meson width will be studied in the traditional pA kinematics. We intend to use the electromagnetic calorimeter for reconstruction of the $\omega$ meson invariant mass by detecting photons from the $\omega \to \pi^{0}\gamma \to 3\gamma$ decay. The model calculations and simulations with RQMD generator show feasibility of the proposed experiment. Available now intensity of the ion beams provides a possibility to collect large statistics and make decisive conclusion about the $\omega$ meson properties at density of normal nuclei. At the second stage of the investigation the $\omega$ meson properties will be studied in AA collisions at higher density. Interpretation of these measurements will be based on the results obtained in Ap(pA) interactions. Further investigation of the in-medium properties of light unflavored and charmed mesons can be performed at ITEP and at GSI(FAIR) where higher ion energies will be accessible in near future., Comment: 26 pages, 10 figures, 2 tables

Abstract

In this work we explore the possibility to perform ``effective energy'' studies in very high energy collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In particular, we focus on the possibility to measure in $pp$ collisions the average charged multiplicity as a function of the effective energy with the ALICE experiment, using its capability to measure the energy of the leading baryons with the Zero Degree Calorimeters. Analyses of this kind have been done at lower centre--of--mass energies and have shown that, once the appropriate kinematic variables are chosen, particle production is characterized by universal properties: no matter the nature of the interacting particles, the final states have identical features. Assuming that this universality picture can be extended to {\it ion--ion} collisions, as suggested by recent results from RHIC experiments, a novel approach based on the scaling hypothesis for limiting fragmentation has been used to derive the expected charged event multiplicity in $AA$ interactions at LHC. This leads to scenarios where the multiplicity is significantly lower compared to most of the predictions from the models currently used to describe high energy $AA$ collisions. A mean charged multiplicity of about 1000-2000 per rapidity unit (at $\eta \sim 0$) is expected for the most central $Pb-Pb$ collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.5 TeV$., Comment: 12 pages, 19 figures. Abstract

Introduction. With the development of humanistic attitudes in society, the importance of issues related to the subjective well-being of the individual increases. It is important not only how successful a person is at work or in educational activities, but also how well he/she feels. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed the learning environment for university students. The study of the factors of subjective well-being of students expands the instrumental capabilities of psychological support during the pandemic. In the case of a repetition of a similar situation, this knowledge will be useful for helping students, and potentially a wider circle of people, to maintain subjective well-being. Aim. The present research aimed to investigate the subjective well-being of students of psychological and pedagogical directions of universities during the pandemic with an emphasis on its emotional component. Methodology and research methods. The research methodology is based on the subjective approach, which considers a student as an active subject, capable of successfully adapting to the changed conditions of an educational activity. In the course of the research, the authors identified the interrelationships of subjective well-being, its semantic markers and self-organisation to expand the possibilities of diagnosing subjective well-being and maintaining it during the periods of extreme social situations, as well as to use semantic markers for self-analysis. To assess subjective well-being, three methods were applied. Self-assessment of satisfaction with one’s condition on a 10-point scale was carried out according to the following parameters: sleep, food, communication with family, communication with friends, studies, hobbies, and mood. The authors employed the scale of subjective well-being (by А. Perrudet-Badoux, G. Mendelsohn, J. Chiche, adapted by M. V. Sokolova) and psychosemantic characteristics of the subjective attitude to the situation of distance learning at the university due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To assess the ability of students to organise themselves in the changed learning conditions, the questionnaire of self-organisation of activities (N. T. Feather и M. J. Bond, adapted by E. Yu. Mandrikova) was used. The study involved 406 students between the ages of 18 and 45 years (383 women and 23 men) studying in the areas of psychology and pedagogy at the University of Tyumen and State Kurgan State University. For statistical analysis of the research data, the Mann-Whitney U Test and correlation analysis were used. Results. It was found that the ability to self-organise leads to higher subjective well-being, and this, in turn, stimulates self-organisation. Semantic markers of subjective well-being associated with educational activities during the pandemic, such as comfortable and uncomfortable, interesting and uninteresting, tired and vigorous, were highlighted. The authors revealed objective parameters associated with self-organisation and subjective well-being, namely sleep disturbances. This can lead to the fact that there is not enough daytime and the student works at night, thereby resulting in the disturbance of night sleep, and consequently – poor self-organisation. Scientific novelty. The parameters of subjective well-being and self-organisation of students in a new, extreme social situation, during the COVID-19 pandemic are considered. Practical significance. The data obtained can be used to develop a strategy for teaching students in a pandemic situation and forced self-isolation, as well as to increase subjective well-being in a new social situation. The research results can be applied in psychodiagnostics for a more complete interpretation of the parameters of subjective well-being, as well as for the use of the identified relationships in the programmes of psychological support for students of psychological and pedagogical specialities. Semantic markers of subjective well-being that have received empirical justification can be employed to create a diagnostic scale. Введение. По мере развития гуманистических установок в обществе возрастает значимость вопросов связанных с субъективным благополучием личности. Важно не только то, насколько человек успешен на производстве или в учебной деятельности, но и то насколько он себя хорошо чувствует. Эпидемия COVID-19 существенно изменила условия обучения студентов университетов. Изучение факторов субъективного благополучия студентов расширяет инструментальные возможности психологического сопровождения в период эпидемии. В случае повторения аналогичной ситуации, эти знания будут полезны для оказания помощи студентам, а потенциально и более широкому кругу людей сохранить субъективное благополучие. Цель статьи – исследование субъективного благополучия студентов психолого-педагогических направлений университетов во время пандемии с акцентом на его эмоциональный компонент. Методология, методы и методики исследования. Методологией исследования являлся субъектный подход, рассматривающий студента как активного субъекта, способного успешно адаптироваться к изменившимся условиям учебной деятельности. В ходе исследования выявлялись взаимосвязи субъективного благополучия, его семантических маркеров и самоорганизации, что позволяет расширить возможности диагностики субъективного благополучия и его поддержание в периоды экстремальных социальных ситуаций, а также использовать семантические маркеры для самоанализа. Для оценки субъективного благополучия использовались следующие методики: Самооценка удовлетворенности своим состоянием по 10-балльной шкале по следующим параметрам: сон, питание, общение с семьей, общение с друзьями, учеба, хобби, настроение. Шкала субъективного благополучия (А. Perrudet-Badoux, G. Mendelsohn, J. Chiche, в адаптации М. В. Соколовой) и психосемантическая характеристика субъективного отношения к ситуации дистантного обучения в вузе по причине пандемии по COVID-19. Для оценки способности студентов организовать себя в изменившихся условиях обучения применялся опросник самоорганизации деятельности (N. T. Feather и M. J. Bond, в адаптации Е. Ю. Мандриковой). В исследовании приняли участие 406 студентов, обучающиеся на направлениях психологии и педагогики в Тюменском государственном университет и Курганском государственном университете в возрасте от 18 до 45 лет, из них 383 женщины и 23 мужчины. Для статистического анализа данных исследования использовались критерий Манна – Уитни (U) и корреляционный анализ. Результаты. Установлено, что способность к самоорганизации приводит к более высокому субъективному благополучию, и это в свою очередь стимулирует самоорганизацию. Выделены семантические маркеры субъективного благополучия, связанные с учебной деятельностью в период пандемии, такие как удобный и неудобный, интересный и неинтересный, усталый и бодрый. Выявлены объективные параметры, связанные с самоорганизацией и субъективным благополучием, а именно: нарушения режима сна. Это может привести к тому, что дневного времени не хватает и студент работает ночью, а нарушение ночного сна в свою очередь негативно сказывается на самоорганизации. Научная новизна. Рассматриваются параметры субъективного благополучия и самоорганизации студентов в новой, экстремальной социальной ситуации, в период пандемии COVID-19. Практическая значимость. Полученные данные могут быть использованы для разработки стратегии обучения студентов в ситуации пандемии и вынужденной самоизоляии, а так же для повышения субъективного благополучия в новой социальной ситуации. Результаты могут быть применены в психодиагностике для более полной интерпретации параметров субъективного благополучия, а также для создания программ психологического сопровождения студентов психолого-педагогических направлений. Семантические маркеры субъективного благополучия, получившие эмпирическое обоснование, могут быть использованы для конструирования диагностической шкалы. Статья поступила в редакцию 26.01.2023 г. Проанализированы данные о половых различиях в суицидальных намерениях в связи с параметрами эмоционально-волевой сферы. К показателям эмоциональной сферы относятся стресс, настроение, оптимизм. Показателями суицидальных намерений являются суицидальные мысли и планы, а также суицидальные попытки (опросники М. Перре и др.). Выявлены статистически значимые различия в показателе суицидальных намерений между юношами и девушками. Уровень суицидальных намерений у девушек выше. Более высокий показатель суицидальных намерений у девушек может быть объяснен различиями в параметрах эмоционально-волевой сферы личности. In the framework of the study data on gender differences in suicidal intentions in connection with the parameters of the emotional volitional sphere are analyzed. The indicators of the emotional sphere include stress, mood, optimism. Indicators of suicidal intentions are suicidal thoughts and plans, as well as suicidal attempts. (questionnaires M. Perret and others). Statistically significant differences in the indicator of suicidal intentions between boys and girls were revealed. The level of suicidal intentions among girls is higher. A higher indicator of suicidal intentions among girls can be explained by differences in the parameters of the emotional-volitional sphere of the personality.

Abstract

Анализируются изменения религиозности личности с возрастом. Эмпирически установлено, что религиозность личности возрастает по мере увеличения возраста. Уточняется возрастная динамика различных компонентов, составляющих общую религиозность личности. Некоторые измерения религиозности, такие как измерение религиозных знаний и социальное измерение, не изменяются с возрастом. Показана необходимость изучения возрастных изменений религиозности на российской выборке. Рассмотрены возможные направления дальнейших исследований религиозности пожилых людей. Changes in the religiosity of a person with age are analyzed. It has been empirically established that a person’s religiosity increases with age. The age-related dynamics of various components that make up the general religiosity of a person are specified. Some dimensions of religiosity, such as the dimension of religious knowledge and the social dimension, do not change with age. The necessity of studying age-related changes in religiosity in the Russian sample is shown. Possible directions for further research on the religiosity of the elderly are considered.

Abstract

Interrelations of personal qualities and suicidal intentions of university students are analyzed on the example of volitional qualities. Relationships with suicidal intentions of both individual volitional qualities and the general indicator of the development of the emotional-volitional sphere are empirically revealed. It is shown that the level of development of volitional qualities negatively correlates with suicidal intentions of students. A group of students with suicidal thoughts at the time of the study demonstrates a lower level of volitional qualities. Programs for the development of the emotional-volitional sphere of the personality are promising from the point of view of the prevention of suicidality among young people. Анализируются взаимосвязи личностных качеств и суицидальных намерений студентов университета на примере волевых качеств. Эмпирически выявляются взаимосвязи с суицидальными намерениями как отдельных волевых качеств, так и общего показателя развития эмоционально-волевой сферы. Показано, что уровень развития волевых качеств отрицательно коррелирует с суицидальными намерениями студентов. Группа студентов, имеющих суицидальные мысли в момент исследования, демонстрирует более низкий уровень выраженности волевых качеств. Программы развития эмоционально-волевой сферы личности перспективны с точки зрения профилактики суицидальности в молодежной среде.
