Examining the impact of green human resource management (GHRM), top management commitment (TMC), and green culture (GC) on green performance (GP) of Palm oil companies (POCs) in Malaysia is the aim of the study. A self-administered structured questionnaire was adapted to collect data. SPSS and Smart-PLS software analyzed the 165 firms’ usable responses. The empirical results found significant positive impacts of GHRM, TMC, and GC on GP. The outcome offers valuable insights into the knowledge domain and practices of GHRM and how it affects the GP of POCs. Moreover, the observed results highlight the importance of GC and TMC in implementing green procedures to create positive GP. To the researchers, no study has explored the relationship between GHRM, TMC, GC, and GP using empirical data from Malaysian POCs. Moreover, this research’s findings enrich the researchers, academicians, and practitioners practically and theoretically.

Knowledge sharing can enhance learning and help to build the knowledge workforce. This paper reports on a study of knowledge sharing behaviour among undergraduate students in Malaysia. Knowledge sharing was found to be influenced by the mechanisms used, various barriers to communication and the motivations behind knowledge sharing. The mechanisms include online communication, social interaction, off-campus activities and learning activities. It was found that problems with information and communications technology (ICT), lack of self confidence, external constraints, self-centredness and social attributes can create barriers to knowledge exchange. It is concluded that the motivation to share knowledge appears to be affected by relationships, rewards and the level of satisfaction with knowledge sharing activities. A study was conducted to analyze the factors of exchange rate volatility from the macroeconomic perspective for the economies of Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. The link between macroeconomic factors and exchange rate volatility was examined using econometrics techniques. The study confirms the link between the factors and exchange rate volatility in both the short and the long run for the countries' economies.

This study investigates the various motivations to equity crowdfunding in Malaysia. A total of 169 responses from survey questionnaires are used to test the relationships using Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares. Investigation into the influence of both intrinsic and extrinsic motivators on the willingness to support equity crowdfunding shows that the financial motive is insignificant in influencing the decision. Among the intrinsic motivators, aesthetic value, emotional value, novelty and trust are highly significant and the desire to be part of a community is the only intrinsic motivator that is insignificant. This study examines the abrupt jumps in the Dow Jones Islamic Market (DJIM) sectoral indices using a modified return-volatility model that allows for multiple structural breaks. The breakpoint tests for both return and volatility suggest that only several Islamic sectoral markets are insulated from the external shocks. The finding implies that the Islamic equities are merely a partial safe haven in the extreme market fluctuations. Among the sectoral indices, the oil and gas market exhibits the highest degree of volatility persistence, implying its past price can be useful to predict the future prices compared to other indices. It is also found the volatility persistence experiences a decline when abrupt jumps are incorporated into the model. These empirical results suggest the inclusion of abrupt jumps into the estimation is important to provide reliable explanatory power on the volatility dynamics of Islamic stock markets. With the aim being to have an integrated and efficient management system, Malaysia is currently facing a remarkable waste issue with a massive increase in waste generated per day. This study collected 400 survey responses to assess the satisfaction and awareness of households about various issues of solid waste management. This study revealed that the majority of the respondents were satisfied with their waste management services. However, there was concern about providing a more diverse waste management facility. This study found a strong positive relationship between age and waste reduction behaviours. The majority of the respondents agreed that their lifestyle affected waste minimisation. Almost half of the respondents indicated that they lacked knowledge to practise waste sorting. Age and education were positively correlated to reuse and recycling behaviours. Overall, a holistic waste management education is vital for Malaysia to build an efficient waste management system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
