We aim at searching for secular evolution of the orbital period in the short-period binary system WR 127 (WN3b+O9.5V, $P = 9.555^d$). We performed new low-resolution spectroscopic observations of WR 127 on 2.5-m CMO SAI telescope to construct the radial velocity curves of the components suggesting the component masses $M_\mathrm{WR}\sin^3(i) = 11.8\pm1.4$ $M_{\odot}$, $M_\mathrm{O}\sin^3(i)=17.2\pm1.4$ $M_{\odot}$. The comparison with archival radial velocity curves enabled us to calculate the $(O-C)$ plot with accuracy sufficient to search for the orbital period change in WR 127. We report on the reliable detection of a secular increase in the orbital period of WR 127 at a rate of $\dot{P} = 0.83\pm0.14~\mbox{s~yr}^{-1}$ corresponding to the dynamical mass-loss rate from the WR star $\dot{M}_\mathrm{WR} = (2.6\pm0.5)\times 10^{-5}$ $M_{\odot}$ yr$^{-1}$. The mass-loss rate from WR stars in three WR+OB binaries (WR 127, CX Cep and V444 Cyg) as inferred from spectroscopic and photometric measurements suggests a preliminary empirical correlation between the WR star mass and the dynamical mass-loss rate $\dot M_\mathrm{WR}\sim M_\mathrm{WR}^{1.8}$. The neutron star low mass X-ray binary (LMXB) AX J1745.6-2901 was detected an anomalously fast decrease of orbital period. The decreasing rate of orbital period exceeds the contribution of all processes extracting angular momentum from the binary star in standard model. Using SCENARIO MACHINE code we conducted a population synthesis study of X-ray novae with neutron stars to investigate a possible formation and evolution of such binaries. Such close LMXBs should experience a preceding common envelope stage, in which the magnetic fields of the low mass main-sequence donor stars can be dramatically amplified. Our calculations show that the magnetic stellar wind of the optical companion can efficiently extract angular momentum from the binary systems, and produce the observed orbital-period derivatives of AX J1745.6-2901 and black hole LMXBs. The estimated values of the required magnetic field induction are following: $B_\textrm{d}\approx 400$ G (AX~J1745.6-2901), $B_\textrm{d}\approx 1500$ G (KV UMa), $B_\textrm{d}\approx 400$ G (A0620-00), $B_\textrm{d}\approx 1800$ G (Nova Muscae). We successfully reproduced the current observational abundance of such anomalous neutron star X-ray novae, and computed the appropriate value of the parameter of magnetic braking $\lambda_\textrm{MSW}$ ($0.8-0.6$ for Roche lobe filling stars and $0.4-0.15$ for binaries with partial Roche lobe filling)., Comment: MNRAS, accepted; 11 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables

We study near-infrared (JHK) and X-ray light curves of Cyg X-3 obtained with the 2.5-m telescope of the Caucasian Mountain Observatory of MSU SAI and collected from RXTE ASM and MAXI archives. The light curves in the X-ray and IR domains are strongly affected by irregular variations. However, the mean curves are remarkably stable and qualitatively similar in both domains. This means that the IR flux of the system originates not only from the free-free radiation of the WR wind but also from a compact IR source located near the relativistic companion. The shape of the mean X-ray and IR light curves suggest the existence of two additional structures in the WR wind - a bow shock near the relativistic companion and a so-called "clumpy trail" (Vilhu et al. 2013). Modeling of the mean X-ray and IR light curves allowed us to obtain important system parameters: the orbital phase of the superior conjunction of the relativistic companion $\phi_0=-0.066\pm 0.006$, the orbital inclination angle $i=29.5^\circ\pm 1.2^\circ$, and the WR mass-loss rate $\dot{M} = (0.96\pm 0.14)\times 10^{-5}\rm M_\odot yr^{-1}$. By using relations between $\dot{M}$ and the rate of the period change and between $\dot{M}$ and the WR mass, we estimated the probable mass of the relativistic companion $M_{\rm C}\simeq 7.2\rm M_\odot$ which points towards the black hole hypothesis. However, this estimate is based on the assumption of a smooth WR wind. We modelled optical light curves of Sco~X-1 obtained by the Kepler space telescope during K2 mission. Modelling was performed for the case of the strong heating of the optical star and accretion disc by X-rays. In the considered model the optical star fully filled its Roche lobe. We investigated the inverse problem in wide ranges of values of model parameters and estimated following parameters of Sco X-1: the mass ratio of components $q=M_x/M_v=3.6$ ($3.5-3.8$), where $M_x$ and $M_v$ were masses of the neutron and optical stars correspondingly, the orbital inclination was $i=30^{\circ}$ ($25^{\circ}-34^{\circ}$). In the brackets uncertainties of parameters $q$ and $i$ were shown, they originated due to uncertainties of characteristics of the physical model of Sco X-1. The temperature of non-heated optical star was $T_2 = 2500-3050$ K, its radius was $R_2=1.25R_{\odot}=8.7\times 10^{10}$ cm, and its bolometric luminosity was $L_{bol}=(2.1-4.6)\times 10^{32}$ erg s$^{-1}$. The mass of the star was $M_v\simeq 0.4M_{\odot}$. The contribution of the X-ray heated accretion disc dominated in the total optical emission of Sco~X-1. The examination of long-term (1979-2020) photometric observations of SS433 enabled us to discover a non-zero orbital eccentricity of $e=0.05\pm 0.01.$ We have also found evidence for a secular increase in the orbital period at a rate of $\dot P_\mathrm{b}=(1.0\pm0.3)\times10^{-7}$ s s$^{-1}$. The binary orbital period increase rate makes it possible to improve the estimate of the binary mass ratio $q=M_\mathrm{X}/M_\mathrm{V}>0.8$, where $M_\mathrm{X}$ and $M_\mathrm{V}$ are the masses of the relativistic object and the optical star, respectively. For an optical star mass of 10${\rm M}_\odot$, the mass of the relativistic object (a black hole) is $M_\mathrm{X}>8{\rm M}_\odot$. A neutron star in SS433 is reliably excluded because in that case the orbital period should decrease, in contradiction to observations. The derived value of $\dot P_\mathrm{b}$ sets a lower limit on the mass-loss rate in the Jeans mode from the binary system $\gtrsim 7\times 10^{-6} {\rm M}_\odot\mathrm{yr}^{-1}$. The discovered orbital ellipticity of SS433 is consistent with the model of the slaved accretion disc tracing the precession of the misaligned optical star's rotational axis., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures + Appendix. The Transient Double-beam Spectrograph (TDS) is designed for optical low-resolution observations of non-stationary and extragalactic sources with the 2.5-m telescope of Caucasus Mountain Observatory of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute. It operates simultaneously in a short-wavelength (360--577 nm, reciprocal dispersion 1.21 A/pixel, resolving power R=1300 with a 1 arcsec slit) and long-wavelength (567--746 nm, 0.87 A/pixel, R=2500) channels. The light is split by a dichroic mirror with a 50% transmission at 574 nm. In the "blue" channel, the automatic replacement of the grating by a grism with a double resolving power is possible. Two CCD-cameras use E2V 42-10 detectors cooled down to $-70^\circ$C with a readout noise of 3 $e-$ at a readout rate of 50 kHz. The spectrograph is equipped with a back slit viewer camera and a calibration unit allowing to record a comparison spectrum from a hollow cathode lamp for wavelength calibration or from an LED source with a continuous spectrum (the "flat field") to take into account the vignetting and uneven slit illumination. The throughput of the entire optical path without slit loss is 20% at the zenith in the "blue" and 35% in the "red" channel. Excluding the atmosphere and the telescope, the efficiency of the TDS itself reaches a maximum of 47% and 65% respectively. The spectrograph is permanently mounted in the Cassegrain focus of the 2.5-m telescope of CMO SAI MSU sharing the port with a wide-field photometric CCD-camera. The spectrograph is fed by the light from a folding mirror introduced into the optical path. Since November 2019, TDS has been used for regular observations of non-stationary stars and extragalactic sources up to 20-th mag in a 2-h exposure with a signal-to-noise ratio >5 per pixel., Comment: 18 pages, 11 figures, 1 table. Optical, J, and K photometric observations of the KV UMa black hole X-ray nova in its quiescent state obtained in 2017-2018 are presented. A significant flickering within light curves was not detected, although the average brightness of the system faded by $\approx 0.1^m$ during 350 days. Changes in the average brightness were not accompanied with the increase or the decrease of the flickering. From the modelling of five light curves the inclination of the KV UMa orbit and the black hole mass were obtained: $i=74^{\circ}\pm 4^{\circ}$, $M_{BH}=(7.06\div 7.24)M_{\odot}$ dependently on the used mass ratio. The non-stellar component of the spectrum in the range $\lambda=6400\div 22000$\r{A} can be fitted by a power law $F_{\lambda}\sim \lambda^{\alpha}$, $\alpha\approx -1.8$. The accretion disk orientation angle changed from one epoch to another. The model with spots on the star was inadequate. Evolutionary calculations using the "Scenario Machine" code were performed for low mass X-ray binaries, a recently discovered anomalously rapid decrease of the orbital period was taken into account. We showed that the observed decrease can be consistent with the magnetic stellar wind of the optical companion which magnetic field was increased during the common envelope stage. We revisit the determination of binary mass ratio in the Galactic microquasar SS433 based on recent GRAVITY VLTI measurements of mass and angular momentum outflow through a circumbinary disc. The new observations combined with the constancy of the binary orbital period over $\sim 30$ yrs confirm that the mass ratio in SS433 is $q=M_\mathrm{x}/M_\mathrm{v}\gtrsim 0.6$. For the assumed optical star mass $M_\mathrm{v}$ ranging from $\sim 8$ to 15 $M_\odot$ such a mass ratio suggests a low limit of the compact object mass of $M_\mathrm{x}\sim 5-9 M_\odot$, placing the compact object in SS433 as a stellar-mass black hole., Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, accepted in MNRAS, Main Journal

Recently discovered bursts of gravitational waves provide a good opportunity to verify the current view on the evolution of close binary stars. Modern population synthesis computer programs help to study this evolution from two main sequence stars up to the formation of compact remnants. To calculate the evolution of predecessors of black hole (BH) mergers we used the `Scenario Machine' code. The scenario modelling allowed to describe the evolution of systems for which the final stage is a BH+BH merger and showed the plausibility of modern evolutionary scenarios for binary stars and population synthesis models based on it. We discuss possible values of spins in BH mergers, and give arguments in favour of different values of spins of BH components in BH mergers (low spin + low spin, low spin + high spin, high spin + high spin). We predict that $\geq 50\%$ BH mergers originated through isolated binary evolution should possess spins of both BHs close to zero (low spin + low spin). Up to $\approx$10\% of BH mergers are able to consist of two BHs with spins close to one (high spin + high spin), predecessors of such binaries could be sources of two gamma ray bursts. The BH with the spin close to one could be formed as the result of the merger of two BHs formed via the collapse of a fast rotating star accompanied with a long gamma ray burst and/or a gravitational wave burst with smaller power in comparison with the merger of two BH remnants of binary components., Comment: 14 pages, 9 figures, 10 tables, submitted to PASA

By using available archival X-ray data, we significantly extended the list of times of X-ray minima. The new list includes 65 data points obtained by critically re-analyzing RXTE ASM data, 88 data points based on observations by MAXI, and two data points based on observations by SUZAKU and AstroSat. Analyzing the data along with times of X-ray minima available from the literature, we provide the most accurate estimate of the rate of period change to date. We do not confirm existence of a second derivative of the orbital period suggested by some authors earlier. Instead, we find that the changes in the period can be fit by a sum of quadratic and sinusoidal functions. The period of sinusoidal variations is 15.8 yr. They can be related either to apsidal motion in the close binary with eccentricity e=0.03 or to a presence of a third body with the mass of about 0.7 solar masses located at a distance about 16 au from the close binary. We also detect irregular and abrupt changes in the residuals between the best fit ephemeris and the data. While we discuss possible reasons for the changes, their origin remains unclear. A tentative period of about 188 days in X-ray flux variations was found. Photometric observations of the low-mass X-ray binary system A0620-00=V616 Mon are performed in the optical (unfiltered light, lambda_eff~6400A) and the near-infrared J and K-bands. The mean system flux, the orbital light curve shape and the flickering amplitude dependences on wavelength are examined for two activity stages of the system remaining in quiescence. In 2015-16 A0620-00 was in passive stage (as by Cantrell et al., 2008) exhibiting the regular orbital light curves and low flickering. In less than 230 days in 2016-17 the system switched into active stage: the brightness increased by ~0.2-0.3 mag, the orbital light curve changed while the flickering amplitude increased more than twice. The object regular orbital light curves were fitted by models with "cold" spots on the optical star surface and without those. These models reproduce the observed orbital light curves both in passive and in active stages. The dependence of the mean square flickering amplitude (in fluxes, extinction corrected) on wavelength is computed in the lambda 6400-22000AA range. In active stage, the observed flickering amplitude decreases over the whole studied range and may be represented as Delta F_fl~lambda^{-2} which corresponds to the free-free emission of optically thin high-temperature plasma. In passive stage, flickering obeys Delta F_fl~lambda^{-4} law in the range 6400-12500AA that corresponds to the thermal radiation of optically thick high-temperature plasma. At longer wavelengths the flickering amplitude dependence is flat which may imply existence of a synchrotron component of the relativistic jets emission. These flickering features let us propose that the flickering mechanism includes at least two components: thermal and, apparently, synchrotron, that agrees with the recent discovery of the variable linear polarization of the IR system emission (Russell et al., 2016)., Comment: Submitted to MNRAS. The recently discovered burst of gravitational waves GW150914 provides a good new chance to verify the current view on the evolution of close binary stars. Modern population synthesis codes help to study this evolution from two main sequence stars up to the formation of two final remnant degenerate dwarfs, neutron stars or black holes [Massevich 1988]. To study the evolution of the GW150914 predecessor we use the "Scenario Machine" code presented by [Lipunov 1996]. The scenario modelling conducted in this study allowed to describe the evolution of systems for which the final stage is a massive BH+BH merger. We find that the initial mass of the primary component can be $100\div 140 M_{\odot}$ and the initial separation of the components can be $50\div 350 R_{\odot}$. ASTRONIRCAM is a cryogenic-cooled slit spectrograph for the spectral range 1-2.5 mkm installed at the Nasmyth focus of the 2.5-meter telescope of the Caucasian observatory of Sternberg Astronomical Institute of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The instrument is equipped with the HAWAII-2RG 2048x2048 HgCdTe array. Grisms are used as dispersive elements. In the photometric mode ASTRONIRCAM allows for extended astronomical object imaging in the field of view of 4.6x4.6 arc minutes with the 0.269 arcsec/pixel scale in standard photometric bands J, H, K and Ks as well as in narrow-band filters CH_4, [Fe II], H_2 v=1-0 S(1), Br_gamma and CO. In the spectroscopic mode, ASTRONIRCAM takes spectra of extended or point-like sources with spectral resolution R=lambda/Delta lambda <= 1200. The general design, optical system, detector electronics and readout, amplification and digitization scheme are considered. The conversion factor GAIN measurement results are described as well as its dependence on the accumulated signal (non-linearity). The full transmission of the atmosphere-to-detector train ranges from 40 to 50\% in the wide-band photometry mode. The ASTRONIRCAM sensitivity at the 2.5-m telescope is characterized by the limiting J=20, K=19 star magnitudes measured with the 10% precision and 15 minutes integration at the 1 arcsec atmospheric seeing conditions. An exact calculation of CaI $\lambda 6439.075$A absorption profiles in the spectra of optical stars in low-mass X-ray binary systems with black holes (BH LMXBs) is carried out. We show that the approximation of a real Roche lobe filling star as disk with uniform local line profile and linear limb darkening law leads to overestimation of projected equatorial rotational velocity $V_{rot} \sin i$ and accordingly, underestimation of mass ratio $q=M_x/M_v$. Refined value of $q$ does not affect the mass of a black hole, but the mass of an optical star has shrunk $\sim 1.5$ times. We present refined components masses in low-mass X-ray binaries with black holes. Companion masses in BH LMXBs are found in the mass range 0.1 - 1.6 $M_{\odot}$ with the peak at $M_v \simeq 0.35 M_{\odot}$. This finding poses additional problem for the standard evolutionary scenarios of BH LMXBs formation with a common envelope phase (CE). There is a mismatch between modelled and observed distributions of optical stars masses in BH LMXB. Companion masses in BH LMXB are found in the mass range 0.1 - 1.6 $M_{\odot}$ with the peak at 0.6 $M_{\odot}$. The standard evolutionary scenarios require the donor mass distribution peaks to be at least $\sim 1\, M_{\odot}$ to eject a massive envelope of the black hole progenitor. Imperfect of the methods of optical stars masses determination may cause this difference. Two common used approximations of real Roche lobe filling star as distortion sources have been tested. On the one hand, there is the a approximation of real Roche lobe filling optical stars as sphere. We tested rotational broadening of absorption lines based on an exact calculation of CaI $\lambda 6439.075 \, \AA$ absorption profiles in the spectra of Roche lobe filling optical stars. There is overestimation of projected equatorial rotational velocity $V_{rot} \sin i$ and, accordingly, underestimation of mass ratio $q=M_x/M_v$ in the spherical star model. On the other hand, the approximation of a real Roche lobe filling star as disk with uniform local profile and linear limb darkening law is more rough. In this case overestimation of projected equatorial rotational velocity $V_{rot} \sin i$ is $ \sim 20\%$. Such overestimation of $V_{rot} \sin i$ can result in significant underestimation of mass ratio $q=M_x/M_v$ at hight value of $q=M_x/M_v$. Refined value of $q$ does not affect the mass of a black hole, but the mass of an optical star has shrunk 1.5 times. Hence, the masses of optical stars in BH LMXB must be corrected downward, despite the contradictions to the standard evolutionary scenarios., Comment: 24 pages, 5 figures

This paper describes outstanding issues in astrophysics and cosmology that can be solved by astronomical observations in a broad spectral range from far infrared to millimeter wavelengths. The discussed problems related to the formation of stars and planets, galaxies and the interstellar medium, studies of black holes and the development of the cosmological model can be addressed by the planned space observatory Millimetron (the "Spectr-M" project) equipped with a cooled 10-m mirror. We consider the relationship between the masses of the central objects in disky galaxies - supermassive black holes (SMBHs) and nuclear star clusters (NCs) - and various parameters of parent galaxies: velocity of rotation $V_{(2)}$ at $R= 2$ kpc, maximal velocity of rotation $V_{\textrm{max}}$, the indicative dynamical mass $M_{25}$, the total mass of the stellar population $M_{*}$, and the total color index ($B{-}V$). The mass of nuclear clusters $M_{\rm nc}$ correlates more closely with the kinematic parameters and total mass of galaxies than the mass of central black holes $M_{\rm bh}$, including correlation with the velocity $V_{\textrm{max}}$, which characterizes the virial mass of the dark halo. On average, lenticular galaxies are distinguished by higher masses $M_{\rm bh}$ compared to other types of galaxies with similar characteristics. The dependence of masses of central objects on the color index is bimodal: galaxies of the red group (red-sequence), which have ($B{-}V) > 0.6{-}0.7$, being mostly early-type galaxies, differ from bluer galaxies, by higher values of $M_{\rm nc}$ and $M_{\rm bh}$. The red-group galaxies have systematically higher $M_{\rm bh}$ values, even when the host-galaxy parameters are similar. In contrast, in the case of nuclear stellar clusters, the "blue" and "red" galaxies form unified sequences at the diagrams. The results agree with scenarios in which most red-group galaxies form as a result of the partial or complete loss of interstellar gas in a stage of high nuclear activity in galaxies whose central black-hole mass exceeds $10^6 {-} 10^7 M_{\odot}$ (depending on the total mass of a galaxy). The radial velocity curves of optical components in X-ray binary systems can differ from the radial velocity curves of their barycenters due to tidal distortion, gravitational darkening, X-ray heating, etc. This motivated us to investigate how the semiamplitudes of the radial velocity curves of these optical components can depend on the binary-system parameters in a Roche model. The K-correction is taken to be the ratio of the radial velocity semiamplitude for a star in the Roche model to the corresponding value for the stellar barycenter. Based on multiyear INTEGRAL observations of SS433 in 2003-2011, a composite IBIS/ISGRI 18-60 keV orbital light curve is constructed around zero precessional phases psi_{pr}= 0 at the maximim accretion disk opening angle. It shows a peculiar shape with significant excess near the orbital phase phi_orb= 0.25, which is not seen in the softer 2-10 keV energy band. The 40-60 keV orbital light curve demonstrates two almost equal humps at phases \sim 0.25 and \sim 0.75, most likely due to nutation effects of the accretion disk. The nutational variability of SS433 in 15-50 keV with a period of 6.290 days is independently found from timing analysis of Swift/BAT data. The change of the off-eclipse 18-60 keV X-ray flux with the precessional phase shows a double-wave form with strong primary maximum at psi_{pr}= 0 and weak but significant secondary maximum at psi_{pr}= 0.6. A weak variability of the 18-60 keV flux in the middle of the orbital eclipse correlated with the disk precessional phase is also observed. The joint analysis of the broadband 18-60 keV orbital and precessional light curves confirms the presence of a hot extended corona in the central parts of the supercritical accretion disk and constrains the binary mass ratio in SS433 in the range 0.5>q>0.3, suggesting the black hole nature of the compact object., Comment: 21 pages, LaTeX, 16 figures, accepted to MNRAS, main journal, after referee's comments

We suggest a simple synthesis model of an eclipsing binary system which includes one component with strong stellar wind. Numerical simulations show that the shape of the light curve (and in particularly the widths of the minima) strongly depends on wind parameters. We have obtained the first estimates of the masses of the components of the Her X-1/HZ Her X-ray binary system taking into account non-LTE effects in the formation of the H_gamma absorption line: mx=1.8Msun and mv=2.5Msun. These mass estimates were made in a Roche model based on the observed radial-velocity curve of the optical star, HZ Her. The masses for the X-ray pulsar and optical star obtained for an LTE model lie are mx=0.85\pm0.15Msun and mv=1.87\pm0.13Msun. These mass estimates for the components of Her X-1/HZ Her derived from the radial-velocity curve should be considered tentative. We interpret the observed radial-velocity curve of the optical star in the low-mass X-ray binary 2S 0921-630 using a Roche model, taking into account the X-ray heating of the optical star and screening of X-rays coming from the relativistic object by the accretion disk. Consequences of possible anisotropy of the X-ray radiation are considered.We obtain relations between the masses of the optical and compact (X-ray) components, mv and mx, for orbital inclinations i=60, 75, 90 degrees. Including X-ray heating enabled us to reduce the compact object's mass by near 0.5-1Msun, compared to the case with no heating. Based on the K0III spectral type of the optical component (with a probable mass of mv=2.9Msun, we concluded that mx=2.45-2.55Msun (for i=75-90 degrees). If the K0III star has lost a substantial part of its mass as a result of mass exchange, as in the V404 Cyg and GRS 1905+105 systems, and its mass is $m_v=0.65-0.75Msun, the compact object's mass is close to the standard mass of a neutron star, mx=1.4Msun (for i=75-90 degrees). High-accuracy multicolor light curves of the binary system HD 189733, which contains an exoplanet, are analyzed. We have determined the radii of the star and the planet in the binary system, as well as the orbital inclination. The limb-darkening coefficients of the stellar disk were obtained in 10 filters in the wavelength interval 5500-10500 AA. The uncertainties of the fitted parameters were estimated using the differential-correction and confidence-area methods. The wavelength dependence of the limb-darkening coefficients is compared to the corresponding theoretical function for a model thin stellar atmosphere. We confirm the wavelength dependence of the exoplanet's radius found by Pont et al. The exoplanet radius increases with decreasing wavelength, which seems to argue for the presence of an atmosphere around the planet., Comment: 37 pages, 16 tables, 17 figures

The statistical relations between the masses of supermassive black holes (SMBHs) in disk galaxies and the kinematic properties of their host galaxies are analyzed. We use the radial velocity profiles for several galaxies obtained earlier at the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences parallel with the data for other galaxies taken from the literature. We demonstrate that the SMBH masses correlate well with the velocities of rotation of disks at a fixed distance R \approx 1 kpc (V1), which characterize the mean density of the central region of the galaxy. The SMBH masses correlate appreciably weaker with the asymptotic velocity at large distances from the center and with the angular velocity at the optical radius R_{25}. We suggest that the growth of the SMBH occurs inside of the forming "classical" bulge during a monolithic collapse of gas in the central kpc-size region of the protogalaxy. We have also found a correlation between the SMBH mass and the total (indicative) mass of the galaxy M_{25} within the optical radius R_{25}, which includes both baryonic and "dark" mass. The masses of the nuclear star clusters in early-type disk galaxies (based on the catalog of Seth et al.) are also scaled with the dynamical mass M_{25}, whereas the correlations with the luminosity and velocity of rotation of galaxies are practically absent for them. For a given M_{25} the masses of the nuclear clusters are, on average, nearly order of magnitude higher in S0-Sbc galaxies than in late-type galaxies., Comment: 14 pages, 5 Figures. We report the discovery of a new Galactic candidate Luminous Blue Variable (cLBV) via detection of an infrared circular nebula and follow-up spectroscopy of its central star. The nebula, MN112, is one of many dozens of circular nebulae detected at $24 \mu$m in the {\it Spitzer Space Telescope} archival data, whose morphology is similar to that of nebulae associated with known (c)LBVs and related evolved massive stars. Specifically, the core-halo morphology of MN112 bears a striking resemblance to the circumstellar nebula associated with the Galactic cLBV GAL 079.29+00.46, which suggests that both nebulae might have a similar origin and that the central star of MN112 is a LBV. The spectroscopy of the central star showed that its spectrum is almost identical to that of the bona fide LBV P Cygni, which also supports the LBV classification of the object. To further constrain the nature of MN112, we searched for signatures of possible high-amplitude ($\ga 1$ mag) photometric variability of the central star using archival and newly obtained photometric data covering a 45 year period. We found that the B magnitude of the star was constant ($\simeq$ 17.1$\pm$0.3 mag) over this period, while in the I band the star brightened by $\simeq 0.4$ mag during the last 17 years. Although the non-detection of large photometric variability leads us to use the prefix `candidate' in the classification of MN112, we remind that the long-term photometric stability is not unusual for genuine LBVs and that the brightness of P Cygni remains relatively stable during the last three centuries., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, accepted to MNRAS

We report the serendipitous discovery of a ring nebula around a candidate Wolf-Rayet (WR) star, HBHA 4202-22, in Cygnus using the Spitzer Space Telescope archival data. Our spectroscopic follow-up observations confirmed the WR nature of this star (we named it WR138a) and showed that it belongs to the WN8-9h subtype. We thereby add a new example to the known sample of late WN stars with circumstellar nebulae. We analyzed the spectrum of WR138a by using the Potsdam Wolf-Rayet (PoWR) model atmospheres, obtaining a stellar temperature of 40 kK. The stellar wind composition is dominated by helium with 20 per cent of hydrogen. The stellar spectrum is highly reddened and absorbed (E_{B-V} = 2.4 mag, A_V = 7.4 mag). Adopting a stellar luminosity of log L/Lsun = 5.3, the star has a mass-loss rate of 10^{-4.7} Msun yr^{-1}, and resides in a distance of 4.2 kpc. We measured the proper motion for WR138a and found that it is a runaway star with a peculiar velocity of ~50 km/s. We have analyzed the observed radial-velocity curve for the X-ray binary M33 X-7 in a Roche model. We have analyzed the dependence between the component masses and the degree of filling of the optical star's Roche lobe to obtain the ratio of the masses of the optical star and compact object. For the most probable mass of the optical star, $m_v=70M_{\odot}$, the mass of the compact object is $m_x=15.55\pm3.20 M_{\odot}$. It has been shown that black holes with masses of $m_x=15M_{\odot}$ and even higher can form in binaries. We present characteristic evolutionary tracks for binary systems passing through an evolutionary stage with properties similar to M33 X-7 - type objects. According to population-synthesis analyses, such binaries should be present in galaxies with masses of at least $10^{11}M_{\odot}$. The present number of such systems in M33 should be of the order of unity. We have also studied the evolutionary status of the X-ray binary IC 10 X-1 with a Wolf-Rayet component, which may contain a massive black hole. The final stages of the evolution of the M33 X-7 and IC 10 X-1 systems should be accompanied by the radiation of gravitational waves., Comment: 26 pages, 3 tables, 13 figures

The analysis of hard X-ray INTEGRAL observations (2003-2008) of superaccreting galactic microquasar SS433 at precessional phases of the source with the maximum disk opening angle is carried out. It is found that the shape and width of the primary X-ray eclipse is strongly variable suggesting additional absorption in dense stellar wind and gas outflows from the optical A7I-component and the wind-wind collision region. The independence of the observed hard X-ray spectrum on the accretion disk precessional phase suggests that hard X-ray emission (20-100 keV) is formed in an extended, hot, quasi-isothermal corona, probably heated by interaction of relativistic jet with inhomogeneous wind outflow from the precessing supercritical accretion disk. A joint modeling of X-ray eclipsing and precessional hard X-ray variability of SS433 revealed by INTEGRAL by a geometrical model suggests the binary mass ratio $q=m_x/m_v\simeq 0.25\div 0.5$. The absolute minimum of joint orbital and precessional $\chi^2$ residuals is reached at $q\simeq 0.3$. The found binary mass ratio range allows us to explain the substantial precessional variability of the minimum brightness at the middle of the primary optical eclipse. For the mass function of the optical star $f_v=0.268 M_\odot$ as derived from Hillwig & Gies data, the obtained value of $q\simeq 0.3$ yields the masses of the components $m_x\simeq 5.3 M_\odot$, $m_v\simeq 17.7 M_\odot$, confirming the black hole nature of the compact object in SS433., Comment: 23 pages, 15 figures, MNRAS accepted

We develop a Monte-Carlo technique based on L.B. Lucy's indivisible photon packets method to calculate X-ray continuum spectra of comptonized thermal plasma in arbitrary geometry and apply it to describe the broadband X-ray continuum of the galactic superaccreting microquasar SS433 observed by INTEGRAL. A physical model of the X-ray emitting region is proposed that includes thermal emission from the accretion disk, jets and hot corona where the photons of different origin are comptonized. From comparison with INTEGRAL observations, we estimate physical parameters of the complex X-ray emitting region in SS433 and present model spectra for different viewing angles of the object., Comment: MNRAS accepted. 13 pages, 15 figures, 1 table
