Atherosclerosis (AS) is a chronic progressive disease caused by injury and functional changes in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). Long non‑coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are pivotal regulators in AS development. The present study aimed to explore the roles and molecular mechanisms of lncRNA CTBP1‑AS2 in AS progression. A dual‑luciferase reporter assay confirmed that miR‑195‑5p is a downstream target miRNA of lncRNA CTBP1‑AS2 and miR‑195‑5p was increased in AS. The expression levels of miR‑195‑5p and CTBP1‑AS2 in the serums of patients with AS and human aorta vascular smooth muscle cells was increased or decreased, respectively, following treatment with oxidized low‑density lipoprotein (ox‑LDL). Functional experiments showed that the overexpression of lncRNA CTBP1‑AS2 inhibited the proliferation of HA‑VSMCs and promoted their autophagy following ox‑LDL treatment. This effect could be reversed by treatment with ROC‑325, the inhibitor of autophagy, or miR‑195‑5p mimics. Autophagy related 14 (ATG14) was identified to be a target of miR‑195‑5p, and lncRNA CTBP1‑AS2 promoted ATG14 expression by serving as a competing endogenous RNA of miR‑195‑5p. The present study revealed that lncRNA CTBP1‑AS2 may serve a role in AS by inhibiting the proliferation and promoting the autophagy of VSMCs through ATG14 modulation via miR‑195‑5p. These data may provide a novel therapeutic target for AS.

Based on failure mode analysis of the cermet cladding part, the last layer failure assumption is adopted and the method to establish reliability model of the cladding part based on the failure tree series is proposed. Theoretical and example investigations are carried out. The failure tree series for the failure process of the cermet cladding part under the mechanical impact are established.

With the Timoshenko beam theory and the Finite Element Method, the dynamic equation of planar cooperative manipulators with link flexibility is proposed in absolute coordinates. Taking the actual position of the mass center of the cooperated object as the boundary condition, the inverse dynamic equation is developed with the load distribution method. With the solution of the inverse dynamic equations, the cooperated object can track a given trajectory accurately and the errors between the actual internal forces and the specified internal forces on the cooperated manipulators converge to zero. A new method is also developed for the optimum load distribution and load capacity of cooperative manipulator system. A numerical simulation of two planar flexible robot arms manipulating a rigid load is presented.

To investigate the protective effect of exogenous inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases-9 (MMP-9), batimastat, in the lung injury induced by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in dogs.Thirty healthy mongrel puppies were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group, low-dose group [batimastat 10 mg/(kg.d) for 3 days before operation] and high-dose group [batimastat 30 mg/(kg.d) for 3 days before operation]. The off-pump puppies' model of acute lung injury was established, and hemodynamic and respiratory parameters were monitored. The preoperative and postoperative alveolar-arterial oxygen difference (A-aDO(2)) and respiratory index (RI) were calculated. From the beginning of surgery, blood samples were taken at the time 0, 60, 120, and 270 min. Plasma concentrations of MMP-9 were measured by ELISA, and blood MMP-9 mRNA expressions were determined by RT-PCR. The myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity of centrifugal bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were measured by Colorimetry. And MMP-9 activity was determined by Gelatin zymography. Light and electronic microscope were used to observe the morphological changes of lung tissue. A small piece of left lung tissue was taken, weighed and baked to calculate the wet weight (W/D) index.After cardiopulmonary bypass, the concentrations of MMP-9 and mRNA expressions of the control group were increased significantly, and lung injury was apparent. At 270 min, the MMP-9 plasma concentration of high-dose group (17.36 +/- 1.18) microg/L was significant reducing than control group (30.47 +/- 2.22) microg/L (P0.05). After operation, A-aDO(2) and RI of high-dose group were significantly improved than control group (P0.05). The W/D index of the high-dose group (2.8 +/- 0.48) was significantly lower than that of control group (4.7 +/- 0.6) (P0.05). And the pathological changes of lung tissue were significantly improved in the high-dose group. However, there was no significant difference in the MMP-9 mRNA expression in three groups.Batimastat plays a role in the protection of the lung injury of CBP by reducing the concentration and activity of MMP-9, the degradation of the cell membrane and pulmonary neutrophil infiltration and reduction of pulmonary edema.

For the X-ray real time imaging system base on image intensifier, the non-uniformity response among each pixel channel can not be ignored, which cause the fixed pattern noise and degrade the image quality obviously. In order to correct the non-uniformity response, a logarithm response model is created to fit the output-input characteristic curve of each pixel channel, then the correction coefficient table is obtained to make each pixel channel has the same response sensitivity. In practical application, the un-corrected image is divided by the correction coefficient table to get rid of the fixed pattern noise. The experimental results prove that the algorithm has an efficiency of real time correction and the corrected image quality can be increased effectively.

At present, the methods of risk warning emphasize static function dependency or dynamic propagation of time series, which results in a unconsistent combination of the static and dynamic information. Accordingly, this paper puts forward a dynamic hierarchical naive Bayesian network classifier for warning inflation risk. And an example is presented to explain the process of inflation risk warning and method of contribution analysis to risk rank forecast. This model features universality and can be widely used in other risk warning domains.

The dynamic models of the cooperation of multiple robot arms with both joint and link flexibility are developed in absolute coordinates. Based on the dynamic model, the forward dynamic models have been developed according to the constraints among the cooperating manipulators. Assuming the actual mass center of the cooperated object, instead of the nominal rigid position determined by the kinematics of the rigid link counterpart, to be the boundary constraint and to satisfy the anticipated trajectory, the inverse dynamic equations are obtained. The perfect input for the specified task can be calculated from the proposed inverse dynamic model, while the proposed forward dynamic model can be used for numerical simulation. The proposed dynamic models lay the foundation for the design and control of this kind of system. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated through simulation of two flexible-link and flexible-joint 3R robot arms cooperating a rigid object.
