Abstract

A two-step procedure used for the preparation of silica-supported nickel material helps regulate the size of metallic nickel particle in the range 20-60 Angstrom. Changes in particle size are explained by the growth of particle on the nickel nuclei. Nucleation sites for the particle growth are nickel in strong interaction.

Abstract

An approximate solution of the refinement equation was given by its mask, and the approximate sampling theorem for bivariate continuous function was proved by applying the approximate solution. The approximate sampling function defined uniquely by the mask of the refinement equation is the approximate solution of the equation, a piece-wise linear function, and posseses an explicit computation formula. Therefore the mask of the refinement equation is selected according to one's requirement, so that one may controll the decay speed of the approximate sampling function.

Abstract

Abstract: A more flexible method of constructing multiwavelet packets with the scale a ≥ 2 from the same set of multiwavelets is discussed in this paper. The properties of these packets are studied. The formulae for performing iterations and decomposition are given. L 2(R) can be further decomposed by these multiwavelet packets and good bases of L 2(R) are given. Finally, we provide the algorithms for the decomposition and reconstruction using these multiwavelet packets. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
