Abstract

The principle of autostereoscopic front projection display based on micro-lenticular lens array is introduced.Formulas to determine the parameters of the micro-lenticular lens are deduced and a method to design the micro-lenticular lens array is proposed.A piece of stereoscopic projection screen is designed based on the method and the whole projection system with the screen is emulated in Lighttools.The simulation result shows that there are five definite viewing zones.The distance of the adjacent viewing zone is very close to each other.The projection system is built up and the observe plane is at the vertical plane with the projectors.The crosstalk is 7.9% and overlap ratio is 1.008.The final result is consistent with the simulation result and the autostereoscopic display effect is good.The experimental results show that the autostereoscopic front projection display based on micro-lenticular lens is feasible.Compared to autostereoscopic rear projection,the autostereoscopic front projection display has the advantages of simple implementing,compact structure and adjustable projection distance,therefore it will be an important developing direction of large screen 3D display in the future.

Abstract

A control system for embedded auto-focusing camera modules is proposed for mobile phones and other mobile devices.For the purpose of accurate auto-focusing,the system makes use of an AD5820 as the driver IC for a focusing motor,the OV5642 as an image sensor,and the 68013 microcomputer unit as the data processing and controlling driver IC for lens position adjustment.In auto focusing,the system obtains a series of clear images through controlling a voice coil motor to change lens positions at first,and a focusing evaluation curve is formed through calculating the definition evaluation for each image.Then,the image definition is evaluated by using gradient function as evaluation standard,and the lens position is found by the full search when the image definition comes to the maximum value.According to the experiment,the system can offer the focusing resolutions of 5~10 μm and response time less than 70 ms,which shows that the system has good automatic focusing performance,and can satisfy the requirements of automatic focusing system for the camera module.

Abstract

with the great advantages of interactive projection technology, the new optical-electronic human-computer interactive large screen display system has been paid more and more attention. In this paper, the approach with a new optical structure based on linear detectors has been presented. This system consists of computer, projector, camera and digital pen, and the camera uses two linear detectors to detect the infrared light point, which is reflected by two stripe mirrors separately, so that the location of the light point could be measured. This method has the advantages of anti-obstruct, fast tracking, low-cost, and can be widely used in teaching, training, and so on.

Abstract

An economical large area touch panel was presented. Through a new type of optical path constituted by specially arranged mirrors and other optical devices, the one-dimensional imaging of an object on top of the touch panel surface can be captured by one-dimensional optical sensors such as CCD, CMOS or PSD and its position can be located. Simple optical structure, less component and improved processing speed through the use of one-dimensional optical sensors, makes it suitable to large-space touch panel applications.

Abstract

Two morphine prodrugs ( PDA and PDB ) were synthesized and the kinetics of esterase-mediated morphine release from these prodrugs were determined when incubated with plasma from different animal species. Morphine was rapidly released from PDA by all species' plasma with the maximum reached within 5-10 minutes; the released morphine was biologically active as determined by an in vitro cAMP assay. The morphine was released from PDB at a slower and species-dependent rate (mouse rat guinea pig human). Morphine s release from PDB appeared to be mediated by carboxyl esterases as the release was inhibited by the carboxyl esterase inhibitor Benzil. PDA nor PDB induce cytotoxicity in the neuronal cell lines SK-NSH and SH-SY5Y. The carboxyl and amino functional moieties present on the linker portions of PDA and PDB, respectively, may facilitate their conjugation to nanoparticles to tailor morphine pharmacokinetics and specific targeting. These studies suggest the potential clinical utility of these prodrugs for morphine release at desired rates by administration of their mixture at selected ratios.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of oxidative stress on the apoptosis of Sertoli cells induced by sodium fluoride (NaF). Cell viability, reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde content, superoxide dismutase activity, mitochondrial membrane potential, and apoptosis were measured after the rat Sertoli cells were exposed to various concentrations of (0, 6, 12, and 24 μg/ml) sodium fluoride in the presence and absence of 2 mM N-acetylcysteine (NAC) for 24 h. The present study showed that decrease in cell viability and excessive oxidative stress were observed in NaF-treated cells. The treatment with NAC restored the decreased cell viability and excessive oxidative stress. Moreover, fluoride exposure decreased mitochondrial membrane potential and increased apoptosis in Sertoli cells. NAC was also found to suppress a loss of mitochondrial membrane potential and the percentage of apoptosis in NaF-treated Sertoli cells. This study proved that oxidative stress probably play a major role in NaF-induced apoptosis of Sertoli cells. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

Abstract

In recent years, many techniques have been proposed to achieve stereoscopic display, such as parallax barrier, lenticular lens and multi-projector technology. There are many products of AS3D, but the method of testing and evaluating the AS3D equipments is still in initial stage. How to effectively determine the effect of AS3D equipments becomes one of the important issues of AS3D development. This paper firstly elaborated the conventional testing methods, including the subjective testing, objective testing and the statistical testing. Secondly, several latest measuring methods and index of AS3D based on brightness information have been analyzed. Finally, we discussed the development trendency of the AS3D measuring system and noted that the methods of the subjective and objective testing might be combined, while bionic information collection and processing will replace conventional tests.
