Abstract Background Transient receptor potential (TRP) channels are involved in the development and progression of tumors. However, their role in colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unclear, and this study aims to investigate the role of TRP-related genes in CRC. Methods Data was obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, and analyses were conducted on the GSE14333 and GSE38832 datasets to assess the prognosis and mark TRP-related genes (TRGs). Subsequently, clustering analysis and immune infiltration analysis were performed to explore the relevant TRGs. In vitro validation of key TRGs’ gene and protein expression was conducted using human colon cancer cells. Results Compared to normal tissues, 8 TRGs were significantly upregulated in CRC, while 11 were downregulated. TRPA1 was identified as a protective prognostic factor, whereas TRPM5 (HR = 1.349), TRPV4 (HR = 1.289), and TRPV3 (HR = 1.442) were identified as prognostic risk factors. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and Kaplan-Meier (KM) analyses yielded similar results. Additionally, lower expression of TRPA1 and higher expression of TRPV4 and TRPM5 were negatively correlated with patient prognosis, and experimental validation confirmed the underexpression of TRPA1 and overexpression of TRPV4 and TRPM5 in CRC cell lines. Conclusion This study identifies a TRP channel-related prognosis in CRC, providing a novel approach to stratifying CRC prognosis.

Abstract Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the preferred modes of transportation to the hospital among patients with acute stroke and acute myocardial infarction (AMI), as well as to identify the factors that influence the utilization of ambulances. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study, including patients who were diagnosed with acute stroke and AMI, at the people’s hospital of Zhongjiang, from September 30th, 2022 to August 30th, 2023. All patients were divided into emergency medical service (EMS)-activation group and self-transportation group. Chi-square and t-tests were utilized to discern differences between groups at baseline. To screen relevant variables, we employed the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression analysis using R package glmnet. Subsequently, we performed a logistic regression analysis to identify predictors of EMS activation according the results of LASSO regression. Results we collected 929 valid questionnaires. 26.16% of the patients required the services of EMS. 90.9% of individuals have not received any formal first aid education. 42.1% of them reported that they had no understanding of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Diagnosed as AMI (OR 0.22, 95%CI 0.06 to 0.88) or acute cerebral infarction (OR 0.26, 0.10 to 0.68), the distance between the patient and the nearest 120 network hospital when the patient had these symptoms (OR 0.97, 0.94 to 0.99), the patient’s son or daughter was there when the patient was symptomatic (OR 0.58, 0.37 to 0.94), the patient (OR 0.19, 0.05 to 0.72) and the patient’s partner (wife or husband) (OR 0.36, 0.16 to 0.85) had decided that the patient needed further medical help, Among patients who did not seek immediate help after symptom onset, thinking that the symptoms will disappear spontaneously (OR 0.34, 0.13 to 0.92) or not wanting to disturb others (OR 0.06, 0.01 to 0.66) or believing that they are not important symptoms (OR 0.15, 0.05 to 0.42) were factors independently associated with less ambulance use. Age (OR 1.02, 1.00 to 1.04), Stroke patients have experienced symptoms of disturbance of consciousness or convulsions (OR 2.99, 1.72 to 5.2) were independent factors associated with increased ambulance use. Conclusion There is still ambulance underutilization among patients with acute stroke and AMI in county territory of China. Moreover, it is needed to raise the level of first aid education and awareness about EMS. Additionally, private clinic doctors and the public should gain adequate understanding of the severity of acute stroke and AMI, as well as their common symptoms, the crucial importance of prompt medical intervention. Finally, we propose that all township hospitals should be integrated into the 120 emergency networks and equipped with emergency first aid capabilities, pre-hospital care, and transportation abilities.

Highlights The flexible single-walled carbon nanotube/titanium carbide composite films exhibit excellent thermoelectric (TE), high-temperature stable and flame-retardant properties. The assembled TE device achieves an ultrafast fire warning response time of ~ 0.1 s with a threshold voltage of 1 mV. The fire warning device demonstrates exceptional repeatability and long-term stability. The designed intelligent system is promising for next-generation self-powered remote IoT fire warning applications.

BackgroundCMRtools is a software package that can be used to measure T2* values to diagnose liver iron overload, however, its accuracy in terms is affected by multiple factors, including goodness-of-fit (R2 value), the number of echo time (TE) images, and the liver iron concentration (LIC). To investigate the effects of the R2 value, the number of TE images, and the LIC on the accuracy of CMRtools software for measuring T2* values to diagnose liver iron overload (LIO).Materials and methodsCMRtools software was used to measure liver T2* values among 108 thalassemia patients via the truncation method, and the R2 values, the number of TE images, and T2* values were recorded. These values were subsequently converted into liver iron concentration (LICT) values. The LICF (derived from MRI-R2/FerriScan) was used as a reference, and the diagnostic accordance rate (DAR) was compared between R2 value subgroups, between TE image number subgroups, and between LIC subgroups.ResultsThe greater the R2 value was, the greater the standardized DAR (SDAR) was (p 0.05). However, the relationship between TE image number subgroups and SDAR was analysed using Spearman’s correlation, and it was found to be positively correlated (rs = 0.729, p = 0.017). The SDAR are not identical between each LIC subgroup (p > 0.05), furthermore, the relationship between LIC subgroup and SDAR was found irrelevant (p = 0.747).ConclusionThe accuracy of CMRtools software for diagnosing LIO in patients with thalassemia can be improved by artificially controlling the number of TE images to be fitted and selecting higher R2 values.

BackgroundTo evaluate the causal relationship between abdominal multi-organ iron content and PD risk using publicly available genome-wide association study (GWAS) data.MethodsWe conducted MR analysis to assess the effects of iron content in various abdominal organs on PD risk, followed by reverse analysis. Additionally, MVMR analysis evaluated the independent effects of organ-specific iron content on PD. We utilized genetic variation data from the UK Biobank, including liver iron content (n = 32,858), spleen iron content (n = 35,324), and pancreas iron content (n = 25,617), as well as summary-level data for Parkinson’s disease from the FinnGen (n = 218,473) and two other large GWAS datasets of European populations (First dataset n = 480,018; Second dataset n = 2,829). The primary MR analysis used the inverse variance-weighted (IVW) method, confirmed by MR-Egger and weighted median methods. Sensitivity analysis was performed to address potential pleiotropy and heterogeneity. Observational cohort results were validated through replication cohort analysis, followed by meta-analysis.ResultsIVW analysis revealed a causal relationship between increased liver iron content and elevated risk of PD (OR = 1.27; 95% CI: 1.05–1.53; p = 0.015). No significant causal relationship was observed between spleen (OR = 1.00; 95% CI: 0.76–1.32; p = 0.983) and pancreatic (OR = 0.93; 95% CI: 0.72–1.20; p = 0.573) iron content and increased risk of PD. Meta-analysis of GWAS data for PD from three different sources using the random-effects IVW method showed a statistically significant causal relationship between liver iron content and the occurrence of PD (OR = 1.17, 95% CI: 1.01–1.35; p = 0.012).ConclusionThis study presents evidence from Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis indicating a significant causal link between increased liver iron content and a higher risk of Parkinson’s disease (PD). These findings suggest that interventions targeting body iron metabolism, particularly liver iron levels, may be effective in preventing PD.

Abstract Background Cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis significantly complicates the course of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), frequently leading to severe flare-ups and poor outcomes. The role of antiviral therapy in hospitalized IBD patients with CMV colitis is currently under debate. This retrospective analysis seeks to clarify the influence of antiviral treatment on these patients. Methods We retrospectively reviewed IBD patients diagnosed with CMV colitis via immunohistochemistry staining from colonic biopsies at a major tertiary center from January 2000 to May 2021. The study focused on patient demographics, clinical features, risk factors, prognostic indicators, and antiviral treatment outcomes. Results Among 118 inpatients, 42 had CMV colitis. Reprocessing of gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopes and accessories is an essential part of patient safety and quality control in GI endoscopy centers. However, current endoscopic reprocessing guidelines or procedures are not adequate to ensure patient-safe endoscopy. Approximately 5.4 % of the clinically used duodenoscopes remain contaminated with high-concern microorganisms. Thus, the Digestive Endoscopy Society of Taiwan (DEST) sets standards for the reprocessing of GI endoscopes and accessories in endoscopy centers. DEST organized a task force working group using the guideline-revision process. These guidelines contain principles and instructions of step-by-step for endoscope reprocessing. The updated guidelines were established after a thorough review of the existing global and local guidelines, systematic reviews, and health technology assessments of clinical effectiveness. This guideline aims to provide detailed recommendations for endoscope reprocessing to ensure adequate quality control in endoscopy centers.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a special class of non-coding RNAs with the ring structure. They are stable, abundant and conservative across mammals. The biogenesis and molecular properties of circRNAs are being elucidated, which exert regulatory functions not only through miRNA and protein sponge, but also via translation and exosomal interaction. Accumulating studies have demonstrated that circRNAs are aberrantly expressed in various diseases, especially in cancer. Glioma is one of the most common malignant cerebral neoplasms with poor prognosis. The accurate diagnosis and effective therapies of glioma have always been challenged, there is an urgent need for developing promising therapeutic intervention. Therefore, exploring novel biomarkers is crucial for diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the glioma which can provide better assistance in guiding treatment. Recent findings found that circRNAs are systematically altered in glioma and may play critical roles in glioma tumorigenesis, proliferation, invasion and metastasis. Due to their distinct functional properties, they are considered as the potential therapeutic targets, diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. This review elaborates on current advances towards the biogenesis, translation and interaction of circRNAs in many diseases and focused on the role of their involvement in glioma progression, highlighting the potential value of circRNAs in glioma.

Left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) has proven to be an alternative method for delivering physiological pacing to achieve electrical synchrony of the left ventricle (LV), especially in patients with atrioventricular block and left bundle branch block (LBBB). However, it is unclear whether it still achieved in patients whose left bundle branch (LBB) has had surgery-induced damage. The Morrow operation (Morrow septal myectomy) is regarded as one of the most effective treatments for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). The surgery resects small sections of muscle tissue in the proximal ventricular septum nearby or contains the LBB, which means that physical damage to the LBB is almost inevitable. Approximately 2%–12% of patients may need pacemaker implanted after Morrow surgery. LBBP is a feasible and effective method for achieving electric resynchronization of LBBB compared to right ventricular pacing (RVB). Nevertheless, there is a dearth of data on LBBP in third-degree atrioventricular block (AVB) following Morrow surgery. We report a case of successful LBBP in those patients.

Background Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic and progressive fibrosing interstitial lung disease. The effects of emphysema on mortality in IPF remains unclear. Methods MEDLINE, Embase and Cochrane Library databases were searched. Studies were included if they compared mortality in IPF patients with and without emphysema. In included studies, the diagnosis with IPF or IPF combined emphysema was according to the ATS and ERS statements. From eligible studies, we extracted HR and 95% CI, if HRs were not reported, they were extracted based on Kaplan–Meier curves. Results A total of 2605 patients across 15 cohort studies were included in the systematic review and meta-analysis. Emphysema was associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality with a pooled HR 1.37 (95% CI, 1.04-1.80) and I 2 = 64%. However, the level of evidence was ‘very low’ according to GRADE criteria. BackgroundThe aim of this cross-sectional study was to elucidate the associations between various domains of physical activity, such as occupation-related (OPA), transportation-related (TPA), leisure-time (LTPA) and overall physical activity (PA), and diabetic kidney disease.MethodsOur study encompassed 2,633 participants, drawn from the cross-sectional surveys of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2007 and 2018, and employed survey-weighted logistic regression, generalized linear regression, and restricted cubic spline (RCS) analyses to ascertain the relationship between different domains of physical activity and diabetic kidney disease.ResultsAfter controlling for all confounders, multivariate logistic regression analyses revealed a lack of correlation between the various domains of physical activity and the prevalence of diabetic kidney disease. Multiple generalized linear regression analyses showed that durations of PA (β = 0.05, 95% CI, 0.01–0.09, P = 0.012) and TPA (β = 0.32, 95% CI, 0.10–0.55, P = 0.006) were positively associated with eGFR levels; and LTPA durations were inversely associated with UACR levels (β = -5.97, 95% CI, -10.50 - -1.44, P = 0.011). The RCS curves demonstrated a nonlinear relationship between PA, OPA, and eGFR, as well as a nonlinear correlation between PA and ACR. Subgroup and sensitivity analyses largely aligned with the outcomes of the multivariate generalized linear regression, underscoring the robustness of our findings.ConclusionOur population-based study explored the association between different domains of physical activity and diabetic kidney disease. Contrary to our expectations, we found no significant association between the duration of physical activity across all domains and the prevalence of diabetic nephropathy. Nonetheless, renal function markers, including eGFR and UACR, exhibited significant correlations with the duration of total physical activity (TPA) and leisure-time physical activity (LTPA), respectively, among diabetic patients. Interestingly, our findings suggest that diabetic patients engage in physical activity to preserve renal function, ensuring moderate exercise durations not exceeding 35 hours per week.

Abstract MXene‐based thermal camouflage materials have gained increasing attention due to their low emissivity, however, the poor anti‐oxidation restricts their potential applications under complex environments. Various modification methods and strategies, e.g., the addition of antioxidant molecules and fillers have been developed to overcome this, but the realization of long‐term, reliable thermal camouflage using MXene network (coating) with excellent comprehensive performance remains a great challenge. Here, a MXene‐based hybrid network comodified with hyaluronic acid (HA) and hyperbranched polysiloxane (HSi) molecules is designed and fabricated. Notably, the presence of appreciated HA molecules restricts the oxidation of MXene sheets without altering infrared stealth performance, superior to other water‐soluble polymers; while the HSi molecules can act as efficient cross‐linking agents to generate strong interactions between MXene sheets and HA molecules. The optimized MXene/HA/HSi composites exhibit excellent mechanical flexibility (folded into crane structure), good water/solvent resistance, and long‐term stable thermal camouflage capability (with low infrared emissivity of ≈0.29). The long‐term thermal camouflage reliability (≈8 months) under various outdoor weathers and the scalable coating capability of the MXene‐coated textile enable them to disguise the IR signal of various targets in complex environments, indicating the great promise of achieved material for thermal camouflage, IR stealth, and counter surveillance.

Objectives: To explore the molecular characteristics of rpoB, encoding β-subunit of DNA-directed RNA polymerase, and unravel the link to rifabutin-resistance in patients with refractory Helicobacter pylori infection. Methods: From January 2018-March 2021, a total of 1590 patients were screened for eligibility to participate in the study. Patients with refractory H. pylori infection were confirmed by using the (13C)-urea breath assay. All enrolled patients underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy, and biopsies were taken for H. pylori culture and antibacterial susceptibility testing. Sequence analysis of rpoB was conducted for all rifabutin-resistant isolates. Results: In total, 70 patients were diagnosed with refractory H. pylori infection, and 39 isolates were successfully cultured. Amongst, 10 isolates were identified as rifabutin-resistance and nine isolates exhibited at least one amino acid substitution in RpoB. Isolates with a minimal inhibitory concentration >32 mg/l displayed a higher number of mutational changes in RpoB than the others. Additionally, more amino acid substitutions in RpoB correlated with developing a higher minimal inhibitory concentration for H. pylori rifabutin-resistance. Conclusion: Our findings highlight the relationship between rifabutin-resistance in refractory H. pylori infection and specific mutations in RpoB, which will aid the clinical selection of appropriate antibacterial agents with better therapeutic effects.

Under the guidance of the new policy of urban renewal, the concept of community garden is gaining popularity in theory and practice in today’s increasingly tense urban environment. This paper is a review of the research on community gardens. Based on the visualization system of CiteSpace software, it focuses on the analysis of 42 important studies In China and abroad, covering their keywords, research methodology and main findings. Through analysis, this study mainly studies the current knowledge structure, hot topics and research trends in the field of community garden, so as to provide reference for the theoretical research and design practice applied to the field of community garden, and inspire the design of community gardens according to different sites, audiences, scenarios and needs. This study shows that designers and researchers are realizing the importance of promoting civic participation to achieve design optimization and promoting community support for urban landscape systems. Public participation can help designers consider regional culture, religion, history and human needs in a comprehensive manner. At the same time, public participation and gatherings can also promote community identity and sustainable development.

Lithium metal anode (LMA) is a promising candidate for achieving next-generation high-energy-density batteries due to its ultrahigh theoretical capacity and most negative electrochemical potential. However, the practical application of lithium metal battery (LMB) is largely retarded by the instable interfaces, uncontrolled dendrites, and rapid capacity deterioration. Herein, we present a comprehensive overview towards the working principles and inherent challenges of LMAs. Firstly, we diligently summarize the intrinsic mechanism of Li stripping and plating process. The recent advances in atomic and mesoscale simulations which are crucial in guiding mechanism study and material design are also summarized. Furthermore, the advanced engineering strategies which have been proved effective in protecting LMAs are systematically reviewed, including electrolyte optimization, artificial interface, composite/alloy anodes and so on. Finally, we highlight the current limitations and promising research directions of LMAs. This review sheds new lights on deeply understanding the intrinsic mechanism of LMAs, and calls for more endeavors to realize practical Li metal batteries.

Abstract To investigate the value of T2 * technique on 3.0 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in evaluating the changes of cardiac and hepatic iron load before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in patients with thalassemia (TM), the 141 TM patients were divided into 6 group for subgroup analysis: 6, 12, 18, 24 and > 24 months group, according to the postoperative interval. The T2 * values of heart and liver (H-T2 *, L-T2 *) were quantified in TM patients before and after HSCT using 3.0 T MRI T2 * technology, and the corresponding serum ferritin (SF) was collected at the same time, and the changes of the three before and after HSCT were compared. The overall H-T2 * (P = 0.001) and L-T2 * (P = 0.041) of patients after HSCT were higher than those before HSCT (mean relative changes = 19.63%, 7.19%). The H-T2 * (P 24 months after HSCT were significantly higher than those before HSCT (mean relative changes = 69.19%, 93.73%). The SF of 6 months (P 24 months (P = 0.001) were significantly higher than those before HSCT (mean relative changes = 57.93%, 73.84%, 128.51%, 85.47%). There was no significant improvement in cardiac and liver iron content in TM patients within 24 months after HSCT, while the reduction of cardiac and liver iron content in patients is obvious when > 24 months after HSCT.

Background/Objective: This study aims to utilize advanced artificial intelligence (AI) image recog-nition technologies to establish a robust system for identifying features in lung computed tomog-raphy (CT) scans, thereby detecting respiratory infections such as SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia. Spe-cifically, the research focuses on developing a new model called Residual-Dense-Attention Gates U-Net (RDAG U-Net) to improve accuracy and efficiency in identification. Methods: This study employed Attention U-Net, Attention Res U-Net, and the newly developed RDAG U-Net model. RDAG U-Net extends the U-Net architecture by incorporating ResBlock and DenseBlock modules in the encoder to retain training parameters and reduce computation time. The training dataset in-cludes 3,520 CT scans from an open database, augmented to 10,560 samples through data en-hancement techniques. The research also focused on optimizing convolutional architectures, image preprocessing, interpolation methods, data management, and extensive fine-tuning of training parameters and neural network modules. Result: The RDAG U-Net model achieved an outstanding accuracy of 93.29% in identifying pulmonary lesions, with a 45% reduction in computation time compared to other models. The study demonstrated that RDAG U-Net performed stably during training and exhibited good generalization capability by evaluating loss values, model-predicted lesion annotations, and validation-epoch curves. Furthermore, using ITK-Snap to convert 2D pre-dictions into 3D lung and lesion segmentation models, the results delineated lesion contours, en-hancing interpretability. Conclusion: The RDAG U-Net model showed significant improvements in accuracy and efficiency in the analysis of CT images for SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia, achieving a 93.29% recognition accuracy and reducing computation time by 45% compared to other models. These results indicate the potential of the RDAG U-Net model in clinical applications, as it can accelerate the detection of pulmonary lesions and effectively enhance diagnostic accuracy. Additionally, the 2D and 3D visualization results allow physicians to understand lesions' morphology and distribution better, strengthening decision support capabilities and providing valuable medical diagnosis and treatment planning tools.

Inherited retinal degenerations (IRDs) are a group of genetic disorders characterized by the progressive degeneration of retinal cells, leading to irreversible vision loss. SLC4A7 has emerged as a candidate gene associated with IRDs, yet its mechanisms remain largely unknown. This study aims to investigate the role of slc4a7 in retinal development and its associated molecular pathogenesis in zebrafish. Morpholino oligonucleotide knockdown, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, quantitative RT-PCR, eye morphometric measurements, immunofluorescent staining, TUNEL assays, visual motor responses, optokinetic responses, rescue experiments, and bulk RNA sequencing were used to assess the impact of slc4a7 deficiency on retinal development. Our results demonstrated that the knockdown of slc4a7 resulted in a dose-dependent reduction in eye axial length, ocular area, and eye-to-body-length ratio. The fluorescence observations showed a significant decrease in immunofluorescence signals from photoreceptors and in mCherry fluorescence from RPE in slc4a7-silenced morphants. TUNEL staining uncovered the extensive apoptosis of retinal cells induced by slc4a7 knockdown. Visual behaviors were significantly impaired in the slc4a7-deficient larvae. GO and KEGG pathway analyses reveal that differentially expressed genes are predominantly linked to aspects of vision, ion channels, and phototransduction. This study demonstrates that the loss of slc4a7 in larvae led to profound visual impairments, providing additional insights into the genetic mechanisms predisposing individuals to IRDs caused by SLC4A7 deficiency.

Human parainfluenza viruses (HPIVs) are the leading causes of acute respiratory tract infections (ARTIs), particularly in children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) significantly influenced the epidemiology of respiratory viruses. This study analyzed 19,339 respiratory specimens from pediatric patients with ARTIs to detect HPIVs using PCR or tNGS, focusing on the period from 2021 to 2023. HPIVs were identified in 1395 patients (7.21%, 1395/19,339), with annual detection rates of 6.86% (303/4419) in 2021, 6.38% (331/5188) in 2022, and 7.82% (761/9732) in 2023. Notably, both the total number of tests and HPIV-positive cases increased in 2023 compared to 2021 and 2022. Seasonal analysis revealed a shift in HPIV prevalence from winter and spring in 2021–2022 to spring and summer in 2023. Most HPIV-positive cases were in children aged 0–7 years, with fewer infections among those aged 7–18 years. Since June 2022, HPIV-3 has been the most prevalent serotype (59.55%, 524/880), whereas HPIV-2 had the lowest proportion (0.80%, 7/880). The proportions of HPIV-1 (24.89%, 219/880) and HPIV-4 (15.45%, 136/880) were similar. Additionally, the incidence of co-infections with other common respiratory pathogens has increased since 2021. This study highlights rising HPIV detection rates post-COVID-19 and underscores the need for continuous surveillance of HPIVs to inform public health strategies for future epidemic seasons.

Silicone rubber (SR), as one kind of highly valuable rubber material, has been widely used in many fields, e.g., construction, transportation, the electronics industry, automobiles, aviation, and biology, owing to its attractive properties, including high- and low-temperature resistance, weathering resistance, chemical stability, and electrical isolation, as well as transparency. Unfortunately, the inherent flammability of SR largely restricts its practical application in many fields that have high standard requirements for flame retardancy. Throughout the last decade, a series of flame-retardant strategies have been adopted which enhance the flame retardancy of SR and even enhance its other key properties, such as mechanical properties and thermal stability. This comprehensive review systematically reviewed the recent research advances in flame-retarded SR materials and summarized and introduced the up-to-date design of different types of flame retardants and their effects on flame-retardant properties and other performances of SR. In addition, the related flame-retardant mechanisms of the as-prepared flame-retardant SR materials are analyzed and presented. Moreover, key challenges associated with these various types of FRs are discussed, and future development directions are also proposed.

The Lujiang–Chuzhou Metallogenic Area is an important component of the Middle–Lower Yangtze River Valley Metallogenic Belt. Despite being an important copper–gold deposit in this area, the Shanlixu skarn Cu-Au deposit has not yet been systematically studied. According to LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating, the quartz monzonite porphyry from the Shanlixu deposit is aged 137.5 ± 1.7 Ma: while it differs from the timing of the magmatism and related mineralization in the Lujiang–Chuzhou Area, it is consistent with magmatic activity elsewhere in the Middle–Lower Yangtze River Valley Metallogenic Belt. The Ce4+/Ce3+ values of zircon in the quartz monzonite porphyry vary from 204.5 to 886.5, indicating that the intrusion might have formed in an environment with high oxygen fugacity. Additionally, the quartz monzonite porphyry exhibits high contents of Al2O3, Sr, Ba, and Mg# (Mg# = Mg2+/(Mg2+ + Fe2+)) and low ratios of Y, Nb, Ta, and K2O/Na2O, showing geochemical characteristics similar to those of adakitic rocks. Based on these characteristics, it is suggested that the intrusion might have been derived from the partial melting of subducted oceanic crust under a continental arc margin setting. Furthermore, it is strongly indicated that the quartz monzonite porphyry from the Shanlixu deposit, in the Lujiang–Chuzhou Area, is closely related to Cu-Au mineralization, as suggested by the age of the intrusion, which is approximately 137 Ma. These findings provide a new direction for research and exploration in this region.

Intumescent fire-retardant coatings, which feature thinner layers and good decorative effects while significantly reducing heat transfer and air dispersion capabilities, are highly attractive for fire safety applications due to their effective prevention of material combustion and protection of materials. Particularly, the worldwide demand for improved environmental protection requirements has given rise to the production of waterborne intumescent fire-retardant polymer composite coatings, which are comparable to or provide more advantages than solvent-based intumescent fire-retardant polymer composite coatings in terms of low cost, reduced odor, and minimal environmental and health hazards. However, there is still a lack of a comprehensive and in-depth overview of waterborne intumescent fire-retardant polymer composite coatings. This review aims to systematically and comprehensively discuss the composition, the flame retardant and heat insulation mechanisms, and the practical applications of waterborne intumescent fire-retardant polymer composite coatings. Finally, some key challenges associated with waterborne intumescent fire-retardant polymer composite coatings are highlighted, following which future perspectives and opportunities are proposed.
