Introduction: This study delves into the challenges faced by parents across India, a country prone to frequent cyclonic storms, compounded by the nationwide lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, and aims to uncover the parents' perspectives that influence their decisions regarding seeking dental treatments for children in such challenging times throughout which the dental clinics and colleges remained closed and telecommunication services faced disruptions. Postnormalcy of hard times, a noticeable surge in parents seeking dental care for children during calamities emerged. Aim: (1) This study has been put forth to explore the parents' perspective on utilizing dental care during natural calamities and pandemics, considering the evolving importance of oral health. (2) This study examines parents' willingness to seek immediate treatment or defer until normalcy returns during crises. (3) This study gauges parental satisfaction with telephonic or video consultations, acknowledging the demand for home remedies and emergency pain relief guidance. (4) This survey investigates the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of parents related to accessing dental care for children during calamities and pandemic situations. Study Design: Focused on parents of children across India, an online Google forms with a questionnaire will be framed and circulated to parents through various social media platforms, responses will be noted within a month cutoff date, data will be tabulated, statistically analyzed, and discussed. Conclusion: This questionnaire survey intends to gather valuable insights that could inform health-care strategies and policies, ensuring that the oral health of children is prioritized even amid these calamities, natural disasters, and pandemic crises. Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the closest matching shade for primary maxillary anterior teeth from the most widely used Vitapan classical shade guide available for permanent teeth.Materials and Methods: A total of 313 children aged between 3 and 5 years were evaluated. Vitapan classical shade guide was used to determine the shade of six primary maxillary anterior teeth. Scores obtained were noted down in a scoring sheet and values were tabulated. Data collected were tabulated and statistically analyzed using Pearson Chi-square test.Results: A1 was found to be the closest matching shade for primary maxillary anterior teeth. D3 was found to be the least prevalent shade for primary maxillary anterior teeth. There was no statistical significant difference in the shades among teeth of same quadrant (p > 0.05) and also between teeth of right and left quadrants (p > 0.05), respectively.Conclusion: A1 shade of Vitapan classical shade guide is the most prevalent shade for primary maxillary anterior teeth and can be satisfactorily reproduced to all primary maxillary anterior teeth in general.
