Abstract

Currently, the situation of global food security is complicated and severe, and diet-derived chronic diseases are sweeping the world. Meanwhile, the views of “health-centered”, “nutritional diversity”, and “Food is Medicine” have become the general consensus. Using agricultural biodiversity to explore a new generation of crops that are both high-yield and nutritious has become an international trend, and Huangjing (i. e., Polygonati rhizoma) has notable characteristics and advantages. To fully unleash the potentials of Huangjing, this study systematically summarizes its history as both food and medicine, material basis of nutrition and efficacy as forest grain, as well as resource distribution and food production potentials. Huangjing does not contain starch, but rich in nutrients such as fructans with a complex structure, easy degradation, and energy, which is vital for serving life and health. Huangjing is suitable for in-forest planting or intercropping with maize and does not take up the farmland or compete for forest land. It has enormous production capacities and is crucial for ensuring food security. Huangjing is suitable for planting and processing in thousands of households, with good economic benefits, and is of great significance for achieving common prosperity. However, the Huangjing industry of China currently faces multiple challenges in terms of basic research, application technologies, as well as cultural heritage and policy support. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen research on the basic sciences and application technologies of the industry. Meanwhile, we suggest to incorporate Huangjing production into the policy and funding guarantee system for woody grain and oil, integrate Huangjing application into the healthcare and population health planning, and regard the Huangjing industry as an important carrier for rural revitalization and common prosperity, thus to establish a complete innovation and application system covering the entire industrial chain.

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of digital inclusive finance development on labor productivity and its transmission channels using panel data from 30 provinces in China during 2011–2020. According to empirical findings, the growth of digital inclusive finance significantly improves labor productivity in China. This conclusion holds even after taking into account endogeneity problems and robustness tests. Regarding transmission channels, digital inclusive finance development enhances labor productivity by promoting capital deepening. From the perspective of the three dimensions of the current digital inclusive finance development stage, the coverage width significantly boosts labor productivity. From a regional perspective, digital inclusive finance development has a more significant impact on labor productivity in the eastern region compared to the central and western areas. From an industry perspective, digital inclusive finance development significantly enhances labor productivity in the primary and tertiary industries.

Abstract

Polygonatum kingianum Collett et Hemsl. var. grandifolium D.M. Liu & W.Z. Zeng (1981), which sprouts twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn, differs from Polygonatum kingianum in leaves, bracts, perianth and filaments. Morphological comparison and molecular phylogeny indicate that it is identical to the newly-published Polygonatum hunanense H.H. Liu & B.Z. Wang (2021). Hence, we propose that P. kingianum var. grandifolium should be recognised as a new synonym of P. hunanense. In addition, phylogenetic analyses confirmed that P. hunanense is sister to Polygonatum sect. Polygonatum, rather than P. kingianum of Polygonatum sect. Verticillata.

Abstract

A 37-element solar adaptive optics system, which consists of a fine tracking loop with a tip/tilt mirror and a correlation tracker, and a high-order correction loop with a 37-element deformable mirror, a correlating Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor, and a real-time controller, was built and installed at the 26 cm solar fine structure telescope of the Yunnan Astronomical Observatory in 2009. In this system, the absolute difference algorithm is used. A new architecture with field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and digital signal processor (DSP) for the real-time controller based on systolic array and pipeline was developed. The computational latencies of the fine tracking loop and high-order correction loop are about 35 and 100 [micro]s, respectively. The tracking residual root-mean-square error is less than 0.1 arcsec, and the wavefront residual root-mean-square error is about 0.05 wavelengths ([lambda] = 550 nm) after correction. The observational results show that the contrast and resolution of the solar images are improved after the correction by this adaptive optics system. OCIS codes: 010.1080, 110.1080.
