Consistent c-axis orientation characteristics toward the direction of applied pressure of Y-type BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22 (BSCFAO-θ) were successfully prepared by the strategy of hot pressing. The samples' magnetoelectric coupling performance was greatly enhanced by the strategy of hot pressing than that of the traditional solid reaction method. The magnetoelectric current of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) (12.06 μA/m2) was nearly 5 times higher than BSCFAO-SS (2.24 μA/m2). The magnetoelectric polarization of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) (32.82 μC/m2) was nearly 4 times higher than that of BSCFAO-SS (8.31 μC/m2). The magnetoelectric coupling coefficients of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) (1880 ps/m) were nearly 4 times higher than those of BSCFAO-SS (404 ps/m). The enhancement of magnetoelectric polarization of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) can be attributed to the uniform c-axis orientation, which reinforced magnetoelectric polarization compared with none orientation that eliminated the magnetoelectric polarization on grain boundaries. The magnetoelectric coupling performance of BSCFAO-θ presented a gradually decreasing trend with the angle changing from 0° to 90° for the changing of orientation. Compared with traditional solid reaction methods, the strategy of hot pressing inhibits grain growth and increases grain boundaries, thus facilitating the enhancement of grain boundaries' resistivity, and the electrical resistivity of BSCFAO-θ (3.08 × 1010 Ω cm) was nearly 10 000 times higher than that of BSCFAO-SS (2.5 × 106 Ω cm), which also benefits the magnetoelectric polarization performance of BSCFAO-θ. Therefore, the hot-pressing strategy can contribute to the forming of oriented ceramics and enhance the grain boundaries' resistivity to improve magnetoelectric coupling performance. Fuzheng Xiaozheng prescription (FZXZP) is an effective formula for the treatment of different kinds of chronic liver diseases. However, its potential molecular mechanisms in treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have not been investigated thoroughly. The aim of this study is to elucidate the targets and intrinsic mechanisms of FZXZP and their active components for the treatment of HCC. The efficacy of FZXZP against HCC was clarified through a rat HCC model and HCC cell culture. Network pharmacology and molecular docking were utilized to predict the mechanism of action and effector components of FZXZP. The key mechanism and targets were verified by the construction of overexpression and knockout cell models. The results showed that FZXZP greatly delayed the development of HCC in vivo experiments, as evidenced by biochemical evaluations, H&E analyses and growth inhibition of HCC. FZXZP dramatically inhibited cell viability and proliferative capacity and induced the apoptosis of hepatoma cells in vitro. Moreover, network pharmacology analyses demonstrated that the EGFR family and apoptosis-related targets were found to be the most significant in bioinformatics analysis. Furthermore, the EGFR/STAT3 signal axis might be the most likely target of FZXZP in anti-HCC due to the fact that it could be down-regulated by FZXZP with an upward trend of Bax, Caspase-3, Caspase-8, Caspase-9 and an inverse trend of Bcl2. Importantly, the above targeted signal axis was finally validated by our knockdown and overexpression analyses. Meanwhile, flow cytometry and TUNEL staining also revealed that FZXZP significantly induced apoptosis in the EGFR-overexpressing HCC cell line. The molecular docking results revealed that the key effector components of FZXZP that exerted the above regulatory roles were wogonin and glycitein. All of these results suggest that FZXZP could significantly delay HCC development by inhibiting proliferation and promoting apoptosis of HCC cells, and the EGFR/STAT3 signal axis might be a critical signal axis of FZXZP in suppressing HCC progression. Electrolytic Manganese Residue (EMR) is a secondary material generated during the process of manganese production, poses significant environmental challenges, including land consumption and contamination threats to soil and water bodies due to its heavy metal content, soluble manganese, ammonia nitrogen, and disposal issues. This review thoroughly examines EMR, emphasizing its metallurgical principles, environmental impacts, and sustainable treatment methods. We critically analyze various approaches for EMR management, including resource recovery, utilization of construction materials, and advanced treatment techniques to mitigate its environmental challenges. Through an extensive review of recent EMR-related literature and case studies, we highlight innovative strategies for EMR valorization, such as the extraction of valuable metals, conversion into supplementary cementitious materials, and its application in environmental remediation. Our findings suggest that integrating metallurgical principles with environmental engineering practices can unlock EMR's potential as a resource, contributing to the circular economy and reducing the environmental hazards associated with its disposal. This study aims to deepen the understanding of EMR's comprehensive utilization, offering insights into future research directions and practical applications for achieving sustainable management of electrolytic manganese waste. Novel PbFe12O19 magnetic separation catalysts (PFOMSCs) with high specific activity were successfully synthesized by a polyacrylamide gel method with different Fe/Pb molar ratios. Regular lamellar PFOMSCs can be obtained by selecting a Fe/Pb molar ratio of 12:1 and sintering temperature of 500 °C. The colorimetric parameters and energy band values were independent of Fe/Pb mole ratio. The ultrasonic catalytic activity of PFOMSCs with diverse morphologies, different initial catalyst contents and dye concentrations for the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) dye under ultrasonic vibration were studied for the first time. The maximum degradation percentage of 89% and high specific activity of 0.015493 mmol/g/h for the PFOMSCs was found at 2 g/L of initial adsorbent concentration, 50 mg/L of initial dye concentration and 180 min of vibration time for removal of RhB from wastewater. The present work suggests that the PFOMSCs have excellent ultrasonic catalytic activity, with potential application for the removing RhB dye from wastewater.
