Abstract

Objective: To solve the technical problems in the design and analysis of the core parts of the mold open-closing mechanism related rod. Methods: The motion and force analysis of mold open-closing mechanism with an electric eight-bar was described in detail by using the analytical method. Results： Based on the example calculation, the relationship curve between the displacement of the slider and the crank angle was obtained, and the variation law of velocity and acceleration was further deduced. Meanwhile, the theoretical clamping force, the changing trend and the characteristics of each member force in the sheet extrusion process were analyzed. Conclusion: The method solves the implemented analysis of the electric eight-bar linkage mechanism without the need for professional software, shortening the design and prototyping cycles.

Abstract

In this study, the intrinsic model of Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) is employed to facilitate a comprehensive analysis of the phase transition process, encapsulating the evolution of stress and strain across varying temperatures. The martensite volume fraction is quantitatively described using a cosine function, culminating in the formulation of a cosine-type SMA phase transition equation. This model enables the simulation of superelasticity, shape memory effects, and the elastic-thermal behavior of SMA by varying the loading conditions. This approach allows for an assessment of how different material parameters influence SMA properties. Notably, the results highlight that the heating temperature significantly affects the hyperelastic energy dissipation properties of SMA. The energy dissipation coefficient increased by 15.3% when the temperature was increased from 350 to 550 and decreased by 36.3% when the temperature was increased from 550 to 650. The peak values of top acceleration and interstorey displacement of the SMA-isolated structure were 0.826 m/s² and 0.641 mm for EL-centro waves at 7+ seismic intensities. The values of non-isolated were 1.151 m/s², 0.856 mm. 10 ground shaking, the SMA braced structure relative to the steel frame structure on the maximum peak inter-story displacement angle and the structure of the top layer of the permanent displacement, have different degrees of reduction. Therefore, the SMA material possesses good damping performance in the seismic isolation system.

Abstract

Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) show promise in fighting bacterial resistance, yet crucial gaps in research hinder their clinical use. For the first time, through meticulous exploration, we unravel the correlation between the size, shape, and zinc/cobalt ion content of 25 ZIF variants and their antibacterial performance in addition to their mechanism pattern, giving special focus to oxidative stress. Notably, a novel morphology-size map of the 25 different ZIFs is established under five main groups namely, small cubes (SC), large cubes (LC), rhombic dodecahedron-large cubes (RD-LC), rhombic dodecahedron (RD), and spherical-rhombic dodecahedron (S-RD) ZIFs. The antibacterial experiments against Staphylococcus aureus showed that ZIFs in the SC group with higher cobalt content had the lowest minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of 12.5 μg mL−1. Conversely, increased zinc content yielded better antibacterial activity for the other groups. Furthermore, our investigation into the mechanisms revealed cobalt's crucial role in fostering reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, correlating with glutathione (GSH) depletion. Remarkably, the differential responses of ZIF-8 and ZIF-67 to the antioxidant N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) shed light on nuanced pathways governing antibacterial performance. While ZIF-8 demonstrated reduced efficacy, the antibacterial performance of ZIF-67 remained either sustained or modestly improved under antioxidant conditions. Overall, these findings not only enrich our comprehension of ZIFs but also propel their potential for targeted antibacterial interventions, thereby fostering confidence in their clinical translation. 39. Exploring the Effects of Nitrogen Fertilization Management and Soil Factors on the Yield and Quality of Flue-Cured Tobacco in China—A Quantitative Research.

Abstract

Tobacco, a pivotal economic crop in China, faces the challenge of securing high-quality raw materials for its industry due to unbalanced and inefficient nitrogen (N) application. To assess the impact of fertilizer management and soil factors on the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco (FCT), a meta-analysis was conducted across 82 peer-reviewed research studies. The findings demonstrated that both fertilizer management and soil properties exerted a significantly greater influence on yield (63.13% and 62.05%, respectively) than the proportion of superior and medium tobacco (PSMT) (23.57% and 23.83%, respectively). Multiple models were conducted to analyze the N application rate for maximum yield and PSMT, respectively, resulting in an optimum range from 90 to 100 kg N ha−1. The highest yield and PSMT increments were observed with fertilizer timing (FT) applied twice, a basal fertilizer ratio (BFR) exceeding 50%, and a soil pH below 6.5. The nicotine content escalated with increasing N application rates (NR) and soil nitrogen content, peaking at NR over 120 kg N ha−1 and soil total nitrogen (TN) above 2 g kg−1. Stepwise regression modeling indicated that nicotine content was positively influenced by fertilizer management factors (including NR, fertilizer timing, and BFR), as well as initial soil nitrogen content (AN and TN). However, it was negatively correlated with available potassium (AK). Therefore, the results of this meta-analysis suggest that effective fertilizer management, slightly acidic soils enriched with AK, and lower N supply capacity are crucial for enhancing leaf quality while reducing nicotine content.
