Scaffoldings play a critical role as temporary structures in supporting construction processes. Accidents at construction sites frequently stem from issues related to scaffoldings, including insufficient support caused by deviations from the construction design, insecure rod connections, or absence of cross-bracing, which result in uneven loading and potential collapse, leading to casualties. This research introduces a novel approach employing deep learning (i.e., YOLO v5) and augmented reality (AR), termed the scaffolding assembly deficiency detection system (SADDS), designed to aid field inspectors in discerning deficiencies within scaffolding assemblies. Inspectors have the flexibility to utilize SADDS through various devices, such as video cameras, mobile phones, or AR goggles, for the automated identification of deficiencies in scaffolding assemblies. The conducted test yielded satisfactory results, with a mean average precision of 0.89 and individual precision values of 0.96, 0.82, 0.90, and 0.89 for qualified frames and frames with the missing cross-tie rod, missing lower-tie rod, and missing footboard deficiencies, respectively. Subsequent field tests conducted at two construction sites demonstrated improved system performance compared to the training test. Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages of employing mobile phones and AR goggles were discussed, elucidating certain limitations of the SADDS system, such as self-occlusion and efficiency issues.

Oral sildenafil has proven efficacy in pulmonary hypertension in current clinical practice. However, there is a research gap in sildenafil prescribing among patients with valvular heart disease (VHD) and pulmonary hypertension (PH) in Malaysia. This study aimed to determine the appropriateness of sildenafil prescribing and rehospitalization rate in patients with corrected VHD and PH. This is a retrospective descriptive study using universal sampling with a calculated sampling size of 123. Patients who were diagnosed with VHD and PH in Hospital Serdang were recruited from 2014 - 2018. Patients' demographic and clinical characteristics were retrieved from Electronic Hospital Information System (eHIS) and recorded using a pre-designed data collection form. Appropriateness prescribing of sildenafil included appropriate dose(20mg to 80mg three times daily) and duration(total of eight weeks of sildenafil treatment that started before and continued after surgery). Rehospitalization is defined as any hospitalization within six months after surgery. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. From 123 patients (44.7% male, 55.3% female), 41% (n=51) and 61.8%(n=76) received appropriate dose and duration of Sildenafil respectively. Rehospitalization rate within six months after valve surgery was 55.3%(n=68). Univariate analysis showed that patients more than 65 years old (p=0.039), atrial fibrillation (AF) (p=0.04) and female (p=0.002) received appropriate prescribing of sildenafil. Only female patients and patients with AF were the predictors of appropriate prescribing of sildenafil. The role of sildenafil in VHD and PH remains unclear and needs further research in different perspectives such as short term and long-term duration with different doses.

Quasi‐2D(two dimentional) perovskite is one of the potential materials in optoelectronic applications due to the scalable solution processes and low binding energy. Recent studies employing diverse spacer ligands of mono‐ and di‐amine functional groups to form Ruddlesden‐Popper (RP) and Dion‐Jacobson (DJ) phase perovskites efficiently manipulate the perovskite microstructure. However, there is a notable gap in investigating the performance of photomemory devices based on perovskites using different ligands and the accommodability in polymer matrixes. Herein, the perovskite with phenethylammonium bromide (PEABr) or p‐xylylenediamine (PDMA) ligands and methacrylate polymers comprising varied pendent groups (benzene and pyrene) are designed to investigate their effect. The results show that RP‐phase perovskite with polymer‐conferred pyrene group presented an excellent crystalline orientation, fewer grain boundaries, and higher charge transfer efficiency, attributed to superior accommodation between ligands and polymers and appropriate aggregation of pyrene groups. It demonstrates superior memory device characteristics of a high ON/OFF current ratio (2.68 × 104), low operational voltage (−0.1 V), short illumination times (0.1 s), and maintains its decent performance even under thermal environments. This work highlights that leveraging the steric hindrance of ligands and functional polymers to control the microstructure of perovskite is a prospective strategy to promote the photomemory's development. Purpose Methods Results Conclusion Level of Evidence To compare side‐to‐side superior capsular reconstruction (SCR) with over‐the‐top SCR in terms of functional outcomes, pain relief and allograft survival rates.Patients who had undergone arthroscopic dermal allograft SCR for massive irreparable rotator cuff tears and clinical follow‐up for ≥2 years were recruited. All patients underwent postoperative assessment with routine radiographic analysis for acromiohumeral distances, ultrasound imaging 1 and 3 months after SCR and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at least 12 months after SCR. The outcome measures were visual analogue scale (VAS), American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), Constant and Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE) scores.SCR was performed in 56 patients including side‐to‐side SCR in 32 and over‐the‐top SCR in 24. Postoperative MRI showed that the grafts were intact in 46 patients (82.1%; 26 who underwent side‐to‐side SCR and 20 who underwent over‐the‐top SCR). The proportion of nonhealing grafts in the over‐the‐top group was significantly higher with concomitant subscapularis tears (60% vs. 5.3%; p = 0.02). VAS scores and functional outcomes improved postoperatively in both groups and postoperative VAS (1.4 vs. 1.7; n.s.), Constant (74.8 vs. 76.0; n.s.), mean ASES (87.4 vs. 89.1; n.s.) and mean SANE (81.7 vs. 84.3; n.s.) scores did not differ significantly.For massive rotator cuff tears, over‐the‐top and side‐to‐side SCR achieve similar pain relief and functional improvement, and the rate of healing allografts is high. However, over‐the‐top SCR is not recommended for massive posterosuperior rotator cuff tears with repairable subscapularis tendon tears due to a higher nonhealing rate.Level III. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
