12. Universal thermodynamic extremality relations for charged AdS black hole surrounded by quintessence

Abstract

The perturbation correction of general relativity has obtained the general relationship between entropy and extremality. The relation was found to exactly hold for the charged AdS black hole, and extended to the rotating and massive gravity black holes. In this paper, We confirm the universal relation for the four dimensional RN-AdS black hole surrounded by the quintessence, and find a new extremality relation between black hole mass and the normalization factor $a$ related to the density of quintessence. Besides, we also find that when the black hole entropy increases, the correction constant is negative, the black hole mass and the mass-charge ratio decreases, hence this black hole displays WGC-like behavior. Moreover, we derive the general relationship on nonlinear electrodynamic source couples to AdS spacetime with quintessence field. We find another new extremality relation between black hole mass and the magnetic monopole charge $\beta$.

Abstract

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T-cell therapy is one of the most effective immunotherapies. CAR-T-cell therapy has achieved great success in the treatment of hematological malignancies. However, due to the characteristics of solid malignant tumors, such as on-target effects, off-tumor toxicity, an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME), and insufficient trafficking, CAR-T-cell therapy for solid tumors is still in the exploration stage. Mesothelin (MSLN) is a molecule expressed on the surface of various solid malignant tumor cells that is suitable as a target of tumor cells with high MSLN expression for CAR-T-cell therapy. This paper briefly described the development of CAR-T cell therapy and the structural features of MSLN, and especially summarized the strategies of structure optimization of MSLN-targeting CAR-T-cells and the enhancement methods of MSLN-targeting CAR-T cell anti-tumor efficacy by summarizing some preclinical experiment and clinical trials. When considering MSLN-targeting CAR-T-cell therapy as an example, this paper summarizes the efforts made by researchers in CAR-T-cell therapy for solid tumors and summarizes feasible treatment plans by integrating the existing research results. Abstract

We synthesized a two-dimensional (2D) crystalline covalent organic framework (sp2c-COF) that was designed to be fully π-conjugated and constructed from all sp2 carbons by C=C condensation reactions of tetrakis(4-formylphenyl)pyrene and 1,4-phenylenediacetonitrile. The C=C linkages topologically connect pyrene knots at regular intervals into a 2D lattice with π conjugations extended along both x and y directions and develop an eclipsed layer framework rather than the more conventionally obtained disordered structures. The sp2c-COF is a semiconductor with a discrete band gap of 1.9 electron volts and can be chemically oxidized to enhance conductivity by 12 orders of magnitude. The generated radicals are confined on the pyrene knots, enabling the formation of a paramagnetic carbon structure with high spin density. The sp2 carbon framework induces ferromagnetic phase transition to develop spin-spin coherence and align spins unidirectionally across the material.

Abstract

Chilling stress is one of the main abiotic factors affecting rice growth and yield. In rice, chlorophyllide a oxygenase encoded by OsCAO1 is responsible for converting chlorophyllide a to chlorophyllide b, playing a crucial role in photosynthesis and thus rice growth. However, little is known about the function of OsCAO1 in chilling stress responses. The presence of the cis-acting element involved in low-temperature responsiveness (LTR) in the OsCAO1 promoter implied that OsCAO1 probably is a cold-responsive gene. The gene expression level of OsCAO1 was usually inhibited by low temperatures during the day and promoted by low temperatures at night. The OsCAO1 knockout mutants generated by the CRISPR-Cas9 technology in rice (Oryza sativa L.) exhibited significantly weakened chilling tolerance at the seedling stage. OsCAO1 dysfunction led to the accumulation of reactive oxygen species and malondialdehyde, an increase in relative electrolyte leakage, and a reduction in antioxidant gene expression under chilling stress. In addition, the functional deficiency of OsCAO1 resulted in more severe damage to chloroplast morphology, such as abnormal grana thylakoid stacking, caused by low temperatures. Moreover, the rice yield was reduced in OsCAO1 knockout mutants. Therefore, the elevated expression of OsCAO1 probably has the potential to increase both rice yield and chilling tolerance simultaneously, providing a strategy to cultivate chilling-tolerant rice varieties with high yields.
