Obesity has become an ongoing global crisis, since it increases the risks of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, cognitive decline, and some cancers. Adipose tissue is closely associated with the disorder of lipid metabolism. Several efforts have been made toward the modulation of lipid accumulation, but have been hindered by poor efficiency of cellular uptake, low safety, and uncertain effective dosage. Herein, we design an Fe3O4 microsphere-doped composite hydrogel (Fe3O4 microspheres @chitosan/ β -glycerophosphate/collagen), termed as Fe3O4@Gel, as the magnetocaloric agent for magnetic hyperthermia therapy (MHT), aiming to promote lipolysis in white adipocytes. The experimental results show that the obtained Fe3O4@Gel displays a series of advantages, such as fast sol–gel transition, high biocompatibility, and excellent magneto-thermal performance. MHT, which is realized by Fe3O4@Gel subjected to an alternating magnetic field, leads to reduced lipid accumulation, lower triglyceride content, and increased mitochondrial activity in white adipocytes. This work shows that Fe3O4@Gel-mediated MHT can effectively promote lipolysis in white adipocytes in vitro, which provides a potential approach to treat obesity and associated metabolic disorders. Whether environmental responsibility can promote corporate performance has always been a focus of debate in theory and practice. We address the dispute regarding the effect of environmental responsibility by focusing on small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in China. Furthermore, based on team faultline theory, we argue that top management team (TMT) faultlines and bankruptcy threat combine to affect the relationship between environmental responsibility and long‐term performance in SMEs. Using data from 410 Chinese companies listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) during 2011–2020, we find that SMEs that engage in more environmental responsibility tend to have worse long‐term performance. Additionally, this relationship varies depending on the conditions of TMT composition (i.e., faultlines) and situation (i.e., bankruptcy threat). Specifically, when the bankruptcy threat is high, TMT faultlines negatively affect the relationship between environmental responsibility and long‐term firm performance. However, TMT faultlines positively affect this relationship when the bankruptcy threat is low. This paper sheds new light on corporate environmental responsibility by adopting a theoretical perspective of TMT faultlines and identifying the specific situations in which TMT faultlines act. Epidermoid cyst of the spleen is a rare disease, and relatively few cases were reported by literatures. Most published case reports provided inadequate information on the impact of splenic epidermoid cyst on tumor markers. A 32-year-old woman with a giant splenic epidermoid cyst was reported, for whom the serum concentration of a collection of tumor markers (CA19-9, CEA, CA125, CA242, and CA50) increased abruptly accompanied by left upper abdominal pain for 5 days. After comprehensive preoperative examination and multidisciplinary team discussion, we ruled out any concurrent malignancy and a laparoscopic total splenectomy was performed, during which the splenic cyst spontaneously ruptured unexpectedly. After surgery, the elevated serum tumor marker levels decreased sharply until reaching normal range 3 months later. Learning from the case, we conclude that interval monitoring of serum tumor markers is of critical value for patients with splenic epidermoid cyst. Abrupt elevation of tumor marker levels and abdominal pain may serve as signs of cyst rupture, which is strongly indicative of surgical intervention as soon as possible.
