Background: Contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) is manifested by a rapid decline in renal function occurring within 48–72 h in patients exposed to iodinated contrast media (CM). Although intravenous hydration is currently the effective method confirmed to prevent CI-AKI, it has several drawbacks. Some investigations have demonstrated the nephroprotective effects of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) against kidney ischemia-reperfusion injury, but no direct research has investigated the use of VNS for treating CI-AKI. Additionally, most current VNS treatment applies invasive electrical stimulator implantation, which is largely limited by the complications. Our recent publications introduce the magnetic vagus nerve stimulation (mVNS) system pioneered and successfully used for the treatment of myocardial infarction. However, it remains uncertain whether mVNS can mitigate CI-AKI and its specific underlying mechanisms. Therefore, we herein evaluate the potential therapeutic effects of mVNS on CM-induced nephropathy in rats and explore the underlying mechanisms. Results: mVNS treatment was found to significantly improve the damaged renal function, including the reduction of elevated serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and urinary N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) with increased urine output. Pathologically, mVNS treatment alleviated the renal tissue structure injury, and suppressed kidney injury molecule-1 (KIM-1) expression and apoptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells. Mechanistically, increased circulating plasma exosomal miR-365-3p after mVNS treatment enhanced the autophagy and reduced CM-induced apoptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells by targeting Ras homolog enriched in brain (Rheb). Conclusions: In summary, we demonstrated that mVNS can improve CI-AKI through enhanced autophagy and apoptosis inhibition, which depended on plasma exosomal miR-365-3p. Our findings highlight the therapeutic potential of mVNS for CI-AKI in clinical practice. In patients with non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), oncogenic variants present in <5% of cases are considered rare, the predominant of which include human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) mutations, mesenchymal–epithelial transition (MET) alterations, c‐ros oncogene 1 (ROS1) rearrangements, rearrangement during transfection (RET) fusions, v‐raf mouse sarcoma virus oncogene homolog B1 (BRAF) mutations, and neurotrophic troponin receptor kinase (NTRK) fusions. Brain metastases (BMs) occur in approximately 10%–50% of patients with NSCLC harboring rare genetic variants. The recent advent of small‐molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors and macromolecular antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) has conferred marked survival benefits to patients with NSCLC harboring rare driver alterations. Despite effective brain lesion control for most targeted agents and promising reports of intracranial remission associated with novel ADCs, BM continues to be a major therapeutic challenge. This review discusses the recent advances in the treatment of NSCLC with rare genetic variants and BM, with a particular focus on intracranial efficacy, and explores future perspectives on how best to treat these patients. Background: Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is accompanied by an imbalance in the cardiac autonomic nervous system, characterized by over-activated sympathetic tone and reduced vagal nerve activity. In our preceding study, we pioneered the development of the magnetic vagus nerve stimulation (mVNS) system. This system showcased precise vagus nerve stimulation, demonstrating remarkable effectiveness and safety in treating myocardial infarction. However, it remains uncertain whether mVNS can mitigate myocardial I/R injury and its specific underlying mechanisms. In this study, we utilized a rat model of myocardial I/R injury to delve into the therapeutic potential of mVNS against this type of injury. Results: Our findings revealed that mVNS treatment led to a reduction in myocardial infarct size, a decrease in ventricular fibrillation (VF) incidence and a curbing of inflammatory cytokine release. Mechanistically, mVNS demonstrated beneficial effects on myocardial I/R injury by inhibiting NLRP3-mediated pyroptosis through the M2AChR/OGDHL/ROS axis. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) path planning research refers to the UAV automatically planning an optimal path to the destination under the corresponding environment, while avoiding collision with obstacles in this process. In order to solve the problem of 3D path planning of UAV in a dynamic environment, a heuristic dynamic reward function is designed to guide the UAV. We propose the Environment Exploration Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (EE-TD3) algorithm, which combines the symmetrical 3D environment exploration coding mechanism on the basis of TD3 algorithm. The EE-TD3 algorithm model can effectively avoid collisions, improve the training efficiency, and achieve faster convergence speed. Finally, the performance of the EE-TD3 algorithm and other deep reinforcement learning algorithms was tested in the simulation environment. The results show that the EE-TD3 algorithm is better than other algorithms in solving the 3D path planning problem of UAV. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Extensive‐stage small‐cell lung cancer (ES‐SCLC) is regarded as a refractory carcinoma associated with extremely rapid disease progression. After more than three decades without clinical advances, research on immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) combined with platinum‐based chemotherapy has led to the first treatment breakthrough, establishing a new standard for the first‐line treatment of ES‐SCLC. Further studies have extensively evaluated small‐molecule antiangiogenic drugs, PARP inhibitors, as well as lurbinectedin in SCLC and have demonstrated some benefit, although no breakthroughs have been made. In addition, newer therapeutic strategies with targeted agents, novel chemotherapeutics and immunotherapies are evolving as they are being actively explored and hold promise for patients with this disease. Notably, the preliminary identification of SCLC molecular subtypes driven by the expression of dominant transcription factors with RNA sequencing profiles has made it possible to identify molecularly tailored therapeutic approaches, which increases the potential for individualized precision treatment of SCLC. In this review, we summarize recent research advances in ES‐SCLC, outline the current management of this disease and reflect on directions for future development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on a hydrogen desorption experiment and a comparative experiment of low-temperature coal oxidation performed prior to and after hydrogen desorption, this paper demonstrates the occurrence of hydrogen adsorption in coal at room temperature and reveals that the hydrogen generated in the process of coal oxidation originates from coal oxidation and desorption. The results show that the hydrogen accumulation generated only by coal oxidation and the hydrogen accumulation generated solely by desorption both exhibit a LangmuirEXT1 function equation relationship with temperature. The result of the present research can provide a theoretical basis for the accurate prediction of spontaneous coal combustion and is of great significance to the prevention and control of coal spontaneous combustion in coal mines, industrial coal storage and transportation.
