Porosity is a key parameter that affects the heat and moisture transfer within a grain pile. In order to investigate the distribution law of porosity in bulk grain piles in grain silos, grain compression experiment was carried out to obtain the porosity of different grain types under different moisture content and vertical pressure conditions. A porosity prediction model for grain cell based on GWO-BP neural network was proposed, and the model was compared with the porosity prediction results of BP neural network model and random forest model. Finally, the generalization ability of the model was verified using the grain cell box test. The results showed that the porosity prediction performance of the GWO-BP neural network model was the best, and the evaluation indexes of the model, including R2 of 0.960 5, RMSE of 0.013 7 and MAE of 0.013 1, were all within the permissible range. This study has provided a neural network prediction method for the determination of grain porosity, which could provide an important foundation for in-depth multi-field coupling analysis of grain piles and theoretical support for safe grain storage.

Photocatalysis holds a pivotal position in modern organic synthesis, capable of inducing novel reactivities under mild and environmentally friendly reaction conditions. However, the merger of photocatalysis and transition‐metal‐catalyzed asymmetric C−H activation as an efficient and sustainable method for the construction of chiral molecules remains elusive and challenging. Herein, we develop a cobalt‐catalyzed enantioselective C−H activation reaction enabled by visible‐light photoredox catalysis, providing a synergistic catalytic strategy for the asymmetric dearomatization of indoles with high levels of enantioselectivity (96 % to >99 % ee). Mechanistic studies indicate that the excited photocatalyst was quenched by divalent cobalt species in the presence of Salox ligand, leading to the formation of catalytically active chiral Co(III) complex. Moreover, stoichiometric reactions of cobaltacycle intermediate with indole suggest that the irradiation of visible light also play a critical role in the dearomatization step. In this study, the hydrothermal corrosion behavior of zirconium nitride (ZrN) ceramics used as a surrogate nuclear fuel of UN, which were added with different amounts of CrN/Cr2N (0, 10, 20, and 30 vol.%), was investigated with the objective of increasing the loss‐of‐coolant accident (LOCA) tolerance of pressurized water reactor fuel. The ZrN‐based ceramic samples with a density exceeding 98% were fabricated by using a spark plasma sintering system at 1700°C and applied stress of 30 MPa. Following 30 min of hydrothermal corrosion at 300°C, the oxidation layer thickness of pure ZrN ceramics was 9.11 ± 1.96 µm, whereas that of 30 vol.% CrN/Cr2N‐ZrN was only 1.23 ± 0.3 µm, which indicated that CrN/Cr2N offered an excellent protection effect for ZrN. This work can, thus, provide engineering design guidance for the UN with high uranium density to increase the LOCA tolerance of current nuclear power generation systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aluminum and aluminum alloys are widely utilized metal materials. When they are used as surfaces working below 0℃, the anti-icing protection is of great importance for the operation safety of facilities. Two types of aluminum-based anti-icing surfaces were introduced, including superhydrophobic surfaces and organic lubricating layers. First, methods of preparation of micro/nanostructures and surface energy lowering for aluminum-based anti-icing surfaces were discussed, followed by the summarization of their advantages and disadvantages. Then, the characterization of anti-icing performances for aluminum-based surfaces was introduced, including delay of droplets freezing and ice adhesion strength, by which the difference of the anti-icing performance of aluminum-based surfaces can be evaluated. In the end, it was put forward that the future research should be focused on the durability and sustainability of aluminum-based anti-icing surfaces during icing/de-icing cycles.

The increasing demand for second near‐infrared (NIR‐II) region materials, which retain the advantage of minimal scattering and immense applications in the medical and NIR spectroscopy field, has led to considerable research in this region. A mini light‐emitting diode (mini‐LED) is essential for backlighting liquid crystal displays, indicating the need for the small size of phosphors. However, current market phosphors must be more significant to be a viable option for mini‐LEDs. This scenario necessitates the synthesis of small‐sized phosphors to be used in mini‐LEDs. In this work, a mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN) and incorporated the Mg1−yGa2−xO4:xCr3+,yNi2+ system is fabricated. The structural investigation confirmed the single phase of MgGa2O4 with a pore size of 2.73 nm for the MSN. The results showed a steady NIR‐II signal at 1270 nm and an enhanced energy transfer with a high quantum yield of 79.2% for a nanophosphor. The mini‐LED package revealed a 1000–1600 nm signal, qualifying the nanophosphor for realistic applications. This work can make provisions for various NIR‐II nanophosphors in the LED industry. Endometriosis is defined as an oestrogen‐dependent and inflammatory gynaecological disease of which the pathogenesis remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the cellular heterogeneity and reveal the effect of CD8+ T cells on the progress of endometriosis. Three ovarian endometriosis patients were collected, and single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) progressed and delineated the cellular landscape of endometriosis containing five cell clusters. The endometrial cells (EMCs) were the major component, of which the mesenchymal cells were preponderant and characterized with increased inflammation and oestrogen synthesis in endometriosis. The proportion of T cells, mainly CD8+ T cells rather than CD4+, was reduced in endometriotic lesions, and the cytokines and cytotoxicity of ectopic T cells were depressed. CD8+ T cells depressed the proliferation of ESCs through inhibiting CDK1/CCNB1 pathway to arrest the cell cycle and triggered inflammation through activating STAT1 pathway. Correspondingly, the coculture with ESCs resulted in the dysfunction of CD8+ T cells through upregulating STAT1/PDCD1 pathway and glycolysis‐promoted metabolism reprogramming. The endometriotic lesions were larger in nude mouse models with T‐cell deficiency than the normal mouse models. The inhibition of T cells via CD90.2 or CD8A antibody increased the endometriotic lesions in mouse models, and the supplement of T cells to nude mouse models diminished the lesion sizes. In conclusion, this study revealed the global cellular variation of endometriosis among which the cellular count and physiology of EMCs and T cells were significantly changed. The depressed cytotoxicity and aberrant metabolism of CD8+ T cells were induced by ESCs with the activation of STAT1/PDCD1 pathway resulting in immune survival to promote endometriosis. Transition metal‐catalyzed enantioselective C−H carbonylation with carbon monoxide, an essential and easily available C1 feedstock, remains challenging. Here, we disclosed an unprecedented enantioselective C−H carbonylation catalyzed by inexpensive and readily available cobalt(II) salt. The reactions proceed efficiently through desymmetrization, kinetic resolution, and parallel kinetic resolution, affording a broad range of chiral isoindolinones in good yields with excellent enantioselectivities (up to 92 % yield and 99 % ee). The synthetic potential of this method was demonstrated by asymmetric synthesis of biological active compounds, such as (S)‐PD172938 and (S)‐Pazinaclone. The resulting chiral isoindolinones also serve as chiral ligands in cobalt‐catalyzed enantioselective C−H annulation with alkynes to construct phosphorus stereocenter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
