The objective of the present study was to explore the effectiveness and safety of ‘Sandwich treatment’ strategy for large brain metastases (LBM) with diameter over 3 cm (minimum volume >= 15 cm3) located in motor area.

The purpose of this study is to discover and excavate more key factors and signaling pathways that regulate the formation intensity of biofilms and to fully reveal the possible models affecting biofilm formation. By using gene homologous recombination and bioinformatics technology, a MutL protein-directed deletion mutant strain was successfully constructed. The growth status of the mutant strain was observed, and it was confirmed that, except for the change in cell morphology, there were no significant differences in growth and reproduction between the mutant strain and the wild-type strain. By using the induced biofilm formation technique, the significant decrease in biofilm formation in the MutL mutant strain was successfully verified. The plate confrontation test confirmed that the inhibitory ability of the mutant strain against rice blast fungus was not significantly different from that of the WT strain. The colonization ability of the mutant strain on rice stems was tested, and it was confirmed that the colonization ability of the mutant strain was significantly lower than that of the WT strain. In terms of the prevention and control effect of rice blast disease, the mutant strain showed a significant decrease. By using transcriptomic big data, the gene and pathway expression differences between the mutant strain and the WT strain during biofilm formation were analyzed. The analysis revealed no significant correlation with the previously reported spo0A and tapA-sipW-tasA pathways. The key factor capB of the polyglutamic acid signaling pathway, which affects the formation of the biological model, was found to have a significant decrease in expression. A mechanical hypothesis was proposed: MutL may participate in regulating the formation intensity of Bacillus biofilms by regulating the formation of glutamic acid to polyglutamic acid. The development of digital villages plays a critical role in advancing green agriculture steadily and with high quality. This study measures the efficiency of agricultural water resource allocation using provincial-level rural data from 2011 to 2022 and a super Slacks-Based Measure model accounting for non-desirable outputs. Using the ArcGIS tool, this study illustrates the spatiotemporal patterns and provincial clustering of the green allocation of agricultural water resources. A spatial Durbin model further examines interactions between digital villages and water resource efficiency. Findings indicate the following: (1) The green water resource efficiency in China's 30 provinces showed a gradual, steady increase, albeit with notable regional differences, particularly a "northwestern depression" in spatial distribution. (2) Moran's I index indicates a strong positive spatial correlation between digital villages and green water resource efficiency, manifested as either "high–high" or "low–low" clustering. (3) The spatial Durbin model results demonstrate that digital villages enhance the green water resource efficiency of neighboring areas, a phenomenon referred to as the "Matthew effect". (4) Different aspects of digital village construction, operation, and lifestyle positively influence green water resource efficiency, while digital loops have a negative impact. Aligning resource allocation efficiency with the establishment of digital village infrastructure is paramount. This symbiotic relationship bolsters the structural foundation of agricultural production, optimizing resource utilization and fostering technological advancements in rural settings. CsPbI3 perovskite is a promising light absorber in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) due to its suitable bandgap (Eg) and high chemical stability, but the perovskite phase is metastable in ambient atmosphere and prone to defect formation. To enhance phase stability and reduce defects, forming a low dimensional (LD) perovskite on CsPbI3 has proved effective. However, the energy levels for most of low‐conductivity LD perovskites are not very compatible with those of CsPbI3, which will impair charge separation and device performance. Herein, a new 1D perovskite (5‐Azaspiro[4.4]nonan‐5‐ium lead triiodide, ASNPbI3) with compatible energy levels and a large Eg is reported as a capping layer. The p‐type ASNPbI3 forms a p‐n heterojunction with n‐CsPbI3 with a staggered band alignment, considerably enhancing the carrier separation. Besides, by pre‐forming a ASNPbI3 at an intermediate stage, defects are suppressed in perovskite film. Consequently, the CsPbI3 PSCs based on carbon electrode without hole transporter (C‐PSCs) achieves a PCE of 18.34%, which is among the highest‐reported values for inorganic C‐PSCs. Furthermore, the hydrophobic ASNPbI3 capping layer has a high thermal stability that greatly enhances perovskite phase stability. Hence, the CsPbI3 C‐PSCs maintains 68% of its initial PCE after 400 h aging at 85°C in a N2 glovebox. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Despite 2-staged stereotactic radiosurgery (2-SSRS) has been reported to provide patients with improved survival and limited toxicity, 2-SSRS for brainstem metastases (BSM) larger than 2 cm3 remains challenging. We tried to find out the effectiveness and safety of 2-SSRS plus bevacizumab therapy for BSMs over 2 cm3 and prognostic factors that related to the tumor local control. Patients that received 2-SSRS plus bevacizumab therapy from four gamma knife center were retrospectively studied from Jan 2014 to December 2023. Patients' domestic characteristics and the tumor features were evaluated before and after the treatment. Cox regression model was used to find out prognostic factors for tumor local control. 53 patients with 63 lesions received the therapy. The median peri-tumor edema volume greatly reduced at the end of therapy (P < 0.01), the median tumor volume dramatically reduced (P < 0.01) and patients' KPS score improved significantly (P < 0.05) 3 months after the therapy. Patients' median OS was 12.8 months. The tumor local control rate at 3, 6, and 12 months was 98.4%, 93.4%, and 85.2%. The incidence side effects were mainly oral and nasal hemorrhage (5.7%, 3/53), and radiation necrosis (13.2%, 7/53). Patients with primary lung adenocarcinoma, therapeutic dose over 12 Gy at second-stage SRS, primary peri-tumor edema volume less than 2.3 cm³, primary tumor volume less than 3.7 cm³ would enjoy longer tumor local control. These results suggested that 2-SSRS plus bevacizumab therapy was effective and safe for BSMs over 2 cm3. γδ T cells are evolutionarily conserved T lymphocytes that manifest unique antitumor efficacy independent of tumor mutation burden (TMB) and conventional human leukocyte antigen (HLA) recognition. However, the dynamic changes in their T cell receptor (TCR) repertoire during cancer progression and treatment courses remain unclear. Here, a comprehensive characterization of γδTCR repertoires are performed in thyroid cancers with divergent differentiation states through cross‐sectional studies. The findings revealed a significant correlation between the differentiation states and TCR repertoire diversity. Notably, highly expanded clones are prominently enriched in γδ T cell compartment of dedifferentiated patients. Moreover, by longitudinal investigations of the γδ T cell response to various antitumor therapies, it is found that the emergence and expansion of the Vδ2neg subset may be potentially associated with favorable clinical outcomes after post‐radiotherapeutic immunotherapy. These findings are further validated at single‐cell resolution in both advanced thyroid cancer patients and a murine model, underlining the importance of further investigations into the role of γδTCR in cancer immunity and therapeutic strategies. Loss of E‐cadherin (ECAD) is required in tumor metastasis. Protein degradation of ECAD in response to oxidative stress is found in metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is independent of transcriptional repression as usually known. Mechanistically, protein kinase A (PKA) senses oxidative stress by redox modification in its β catalytic subunit (PRKACB) at Cys200 and Cys344. The activation of PKA kinase activity subsequently induces RNF25 phosphorylation at Ser450 to initiate RNF25‐catalyzed degradation of ECAD. Functionally, RNF25 repression induces ECAD protein expression and inhibits HCC metastasis in vitro and in vivo. Altogether, these results indicate that RNF25 is a critical regulator of ECAD protein turnover, and PKA is a necessary redox sensor to enable this process.
