This study identified the competency requirement for artificial intelligence in finite element analysis. The 10 Delphi group members included 5 field engineers in mechanical fields and 5 scholars from a technology institute. Next, 10 field experts were invited to participate. Using the Delphi technique and analytic hierarchy process, questionnaires were designed to assess competency indicators of artificial intelligence in finite element analysis. The data collected from questionnaires were analyzed using a nonparametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test, the Z value of the Kolmogorov-Smirnovone (KS) test, and relative weight. To fulfill the research objectives, a questionnaire was designed to collect data for 40 general competencies in 10 domains: (1) introduction to the finite element method, (2) pretreatment, (3) coordinate system, (4) model construction skills, (5) boundary conditions and solutions, (6) post processor application, (7) machine learning, (8) neural network, (9) deep learning, and (10) artificial intelligence in finite element analysis. The results of the three rounds of the Delphi technique expert questionnaire revealed essential professional competencies for AI in FEA. These findings can be used to devise a training and development plan and provide valuable references for educators in the field of engineering and technical education.

This paper investigates the optimization of tensile strength, tensile strength per unit weight, and tensile strength per unit time of polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) material in fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology using the Taguchi method and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Unlike previous studies that typically focused on optimizing a single mechanical property, our research offers a multi-dimensional evaluation by simultaneously optimizing three critical quality characteristics: tensile strength, tensile strength per unit weight, and tensile strength per unit time. This comprehensive approach provides a broader perspective on both the mechanical performance and production efficiency, contributing new insights into the optimization of PETG in FDM. The Taguchi method ( L 16   4 5 ) was designed and executed, with the layer height, infill density, print temperature, print speed, and infill line direction as the control factors. Sixteen tensile tests were conducted, and ANOVA was employed to identify the main influencing factors for each quality characteristic. For the tensile strength, the infill density was found to have the greatest impact (48.45%), while the print temperature had the least impact (0.78%). The optimal parameter combination reduced the quality loss to 31.28% and standard deviation to 55.93%. For tensile strength per unit weight, the infill line direction had the greatest impact (87.22%), whereas the print temperature had the least impact (0.77%). The optimal parameter combination reduced the quality loss to 54.09% and standard deviation to 73.54%. Regarding the tensile strength per unit time, the layer height had the greatest impact (82.12%), while the print temperature had the least impact (0.08%). In recent years, additive manufacturing has been widely used in industrial, medical, and educational fields. Material extrusion is used in most industries to increase development efficiency and reduce costs. This study used the material extrusion to discuss the print quality of additive manufacturing and optimized the processing parameters based on material properties. Based on the literature, this study summarized the fishbone diagram influencing printing quality. The layer height, nozzle temperature, printing speed, infill pattern, and filling spacing were selected as the control factors of the Taguchi method. An orthogonal array L16 was used for parameter design. The optimal parameters were analyzed using the variance and the response surface method. The results of the study are as follows. In the industrial era, production equipment serves as an essential mother machine. In the global manufacturing industry, components such as laptop computers, mobile phones, and automotive parts all strive for aesthetic appearance. Taiwan's machine tool industry plays a significant role globally. Faced with the constantly changing market environment, the development and competitive advantage of CNC machines are crucial topics for manufacturers. Domestic manufacturers of computer numerical control machines should move towards the integration of automated equipment to accommodate various advanced parts processing procedures. Smart manufacturing will become the trend of the industry in the future. This study invited experts from academia, industry, and research institutions to conduct expert interviews. Their opinions were compiled and analyzed, supplemented by fuzzy Delphi analysis to establish the development trends of various modules. The feasibility and demand of the product's functional technology for industrial development were analyzed under three research dimensions and eight technical items. A total of 26 key sub-technical items were identified, achieving an expert consensus level of over 80. Furthermore, the importance ranking was analyzed using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, and the consistency tests were passed with C.I. < 0.1 and C.R. < 0.1. Finally, the obtained importance ranking of the hierarchical structure was used to predict the future development of computer numerical control machines through a technology roadmap, helping manufacturers use it as a reference model for future development trends to enhance market competitiveness. In this paper, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) used DEFORMTM 3D to construct 6061 aluminum sawing simulation. Before sawing, we pushed the speed and cutting speed under pressure as a sawing process parameters. Then there are three groups of combination conditions in the study. Analysis and discussion based on loading, effective stress, cutting temperature and blade wear. According to the impact parameters the structural design of the saw blade is improved by taking full account of the mutual influence of sawing parameters.

In recent years the government strongly promoted industry 4.0. Domestic enterprises highly developed of wisdom manufactured. Therefore, in the warehouse, the automatic storage system has gradually been taken seriously. The focus of this study is on the deformation of the shelves during the earthquake. First, this study used Inventor graphics software to model the shelf, the model into the Workbench for meshing and conditional constraints, then the completion of the model into ANSYS waiting for the solution. In earthquake conditions, in this study a scale 6-level seismic data is taken from the network PEER seismic database system. Using the ANSeismic program developed in Matlab, the seismic data downloaded from the network is transformed into ANSYS readable seismic code. The simulation results can be obtained by importing the seismic code into ANSYS and model simulation. In this study, we observed and analyzed the simulation results, through the shelf stress, strain and deformation to analyze the situation of the shelves, and improved the shelf structure.

Three are generalized simulation optimizations considering the forging force, the die stress, and the dual-goals in two-stage forging of micro/meso copper fastener. Constant shear friction between the dies and workpiece is assumed to perform multi-stage cold forging forming simulation analysis, and the Taguchi method with the finite element simulation has been used for mold-and-dies parameters design simulation optimizations considering the forging force, die stress, and dual-goals. The die stress optimization is used to explore the effects on effective stress, effective strain, velocity field, die stress, forging force, and shape of product. The influence rank to forging process of micro/meso copper fastener for three optimizations can be determined, and the optimal parameters assembly consider die stress can be obtained in this study. It is noted that the punch design innovation can reduce the forging force and die stress.

3D printing of the flexibility is the most admirable place, no matter when or where, as long as the machine can make the abstract design of finished products or difficult to process the finished product printed out as a sample. And in the product design, through the 3D print out the entity, to more specific observation of the advantages and disadvantages of finished products, which shorten the time of many creative research and development, but also relatively reduce the defective factors. As in recent years, 3D printing technology is progressing, material adhesion, precision and parts of the degree of cooperation has increased, coupled with many parts taking into account the cost, production and other issues, and then let a lot of light load small parts or special parts choose to use 3D to print the finished product to replace. This study focuses on the plastic turbine blades that drive water in the aquarium, but the 3D printing is done by stacking. However, the general stress analysis software can set the material to analyze the deformation results of the force, nor the 3D to analyze the software. Therefore, this study first analyzes the deformation of turbine blade by software, and then verifies the situation of 3D printing turbine blade, and then compares the actual results of software analysis and 3D printing. The results can provide the future of 3D product consider the strength factor. The study found that the spiral blade design allows the force points to be dispersed to avoid hard focus.

The study assumes constant shear friction to simulate multi-stage forging on torx-pin screw with high torque using FEM commercial software. Because the screw head has a plum needle shape with the effect of high torque, the 3D simulation model is used to explore the effective stress, the effective strain, the velocity field, and the forging force in each stage. The forming pass schedule considers three stages to obtain the product, and uses the Deform-3D software to explore the feasibility of forming pass schedule. Finally, the realistic manufacturing of torx-pin screw can be carried out to compare with the simulation results to verify the acceptance of FEM simulation. The maximum dimension error between simulation and experiment is around 2.45%, thus the feasibility of FEM simulation to die design for manufacturing the torx-pin screw can be verified.

In recent years, the bicycle has become an environmentally friendly transportation. The bicycle can be divided into mountain bicycle and highway bicycle. Safe driving is the prior consideration. The bicycle braking system can be divided into oil pressure disk brakes and mechanical disk brakes. The brake disk system is one indispensable component of the safe system. In accordance to overall weight consideration of the bike, the brake disk should also focus on the lightweight design. This paper discussed an innovative brake disk forming technology for 6061 aluminum alloy by the rigid-plastic finite element analysis. The simulation parameters include geometric shapes of the brake disk and mold, die temperature, and friction factors. The stress and strain in forming, brake deformation and vibration modal analysis of brake disk in riding were studied. The paper is expected to offer some precision bicycle brake disk manufacture knowledge for industry.
