Abstract

Tin oxide (SnOx) as a functional layer, such as electron transport layer (ETL) or buffer layer, is widely used in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, SnOx prepared by spin coating is not suitable to be applied to the solar cells with large area or rough substrates. In this paper, SnOx thin films served as the ETL of PSCs were prepared using a simple reactive thermal evaporation (RTE) method, and a convenient ultraviolet ozone treatment (UV‐O3) at room temperature was carried out to replace the common post‐annealing process. The SnOx ETL prepared by RTE is suitable for substrates with arbitrary morphology, and the performance of the PSCs can be improved significantly after the ultraviolet ozone treatment of the SnOx layer. A power conversion efficiency (PCE) up to 20.62% was achieved on the planar PSCs with the RTE SnOx serving as the ETL. Conformal coverage of the RTE SnOx thin film and the perovskite layer on a textured Si surface was achieved, which is helpful for making fully textured monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells in the future. 47. Photo-Electrical Stability of PEDOT:PSS Thin Film for Device Application.

Abstract

PEDOT:PSS (poly 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene-polystyrene sulfonate) film is widely used due to its good electrical conductivity, light transmittance, mechanical flexibility and solution processability. Improving the electrical conductivity and photoelectric stability of PEDOT materials is of great significance to its device applications. In this article, highly conductive PEDOT:PSS films were obtained by spin-coating method after post-treatment by sulfuric acid. The films were placed in air, oxygen, nitrogen and under sun illumination for 30 d to study their photo-electrical stability and aging mechanisms. It indicates that: sunlight is the main factor affecting the stability of photo-electrical properties of thin films, and sulfuric acid treatment removes the excessive PSS component effectively and therefore improves the stability of PEDOT:PSS films. By comparing the absorption spectrum and photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) of the film before and after aging, it is found that, the film underwent photo-oxidation degradation during the aging process, which directly affects its photoelectrical stability. Abstract

Laser peening (LP) also known as laser shock processing (LSP), is a surface enhancement technique that induces intensive plastic deformation, high dislocation density and deeper compressive residual stress to improve the surface performance of materials. The microhardness, surface profiles, roughness, and the residual stress of TC21 alloy were tested by LSP with high energy laser. The results show that the microhardness of the shocked area is improved apparently compared with that of unshocked area. The magnitude of dent is related with the diameter and the distribution of laser spot. The roughness Ra of shocked area is less than 0.8 μm. The compressive residual stress is enhanced greatly. The investigations show that the technology of LSP could further improve the performance of TC21 alloy.

Abstract

The surface treatment technique of laser shock processing (LSP), also known as laser peening, was applied to treat the surface of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, which was widely used in many fields including aeronautic industry. The high pressure shock wave (GPa level) and high strain rate (>10 6 s −1 ) for laser shocking make it possible to realize the grain refinement even nanocrystallization on the surface of Ti-6Al-4V alloy to improve the performance of material. However, the investigations of self-nanocrystallization of Ti-6Al-4V induced by LSP are seldom reported by now. The advantages of LSP technique is high peak value power, short duration (nano second level), easily realizing and repeated operating. The pressure model of plasma shock was carried out considering the left absorbing layer for the LSP, which is in accordance with the practical situation with more accurate calculation results than previous model. The self-nanocrystallization of titanium alloy surface can be realized using the method of laser shocking. The results enrich the theoretical basis, present a practice method of self-nanocrystallization of material surface and no other impurities are introduced and the performance of fretting wear resistance is improved simultaneously.
