The aim of this poster is to provide an overview of the work carried out in the CLS INFRA project and its conclusions for the field of Computational Literary Studies.

ExploreSalon: Unveil Hidden Stories from the Past Concept and Outcome of a Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage "Hackathon" "When people interact, they leave traces: uncountable letters, diaries, chronicles, plaques, and other written records have preserved memories about people – long before the rise of smartphones and social media."1 For the duration of one week (22nd – 26th May 2023) the so-called ExploreSalon will offer a collaborative space to explore digitized memories, in the form of curated biographic, spatial and temporal datasets with focus on Vienna 1900. The event will be organized by the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage (ACDH-CH) and supported by the CLARIAH-AT2 national consortium as part of its knowledge sharing activities. The ExploreSalon has two goals: Bring people of diverse backgrounds together and provide them with the opportunity to discover innovative ways of data-based storytelling – exploring stories hidden in the data, presenting ideas and sharing findings. [...] This poster will present the underlying concept and general workflow of this form of cultural hackathon, elaborate on challenges such as bringing together people with different backgrounds and motivate them to get creative and exchange their ideas. The results and outcomes of the individual groups formed during the ExploreSalon event will enrich and underline the presentation.

This deliverable summarises the work done to compile a comprehensive overview of the landscape of literary corpora and sources currently available. It describes the methodological approach of the work group and analyses the various challenges encountered in the effort to collect information about these resources and consolidate them into a structured form. Based on an initial inventory of 86 corpora or corpus sets, the report exemplifies their wide variety with respect to structure, context and purpose, and consequently the differing modes of provisioning. It also proposes a technological path towards making this information searchable via a central discovery catalogue by discussing principal design decisions regarding the data model and the technology stack needed for such a task.

"Literarische Werke und deren digitale Repräsentationen stellen auch in den Fachbereichen der Computational Literary Studies (CLS) das Fundament für epistemische Auseinandersetzungen und Diskurse. In unserem Teilprojekt Data Selection and Curation des europäischen ""Computational Literary Studies Infrastructure""-Projekts möchten wir Brücken zu wissensbasierten Ressourcen für die CLS-Community aufbauen, um die Zugangsparadigmen für literarische Daten signifikant zu rekonfigurieren und erheblich zu verbessern. Um die Auffindbarkeit und den forschungsorientierten Zugang zu literarischen Daten für die CLS-Community zu ermöglichen, ist eine Inventarisierung der CLS-Datenlandschaft erforderlich, die forschungsrelevante Kriterien für die Datenauswahl sowie deren Erfassung und Beschreibung anwendet. Mit dieser Inventarisierung, die wir in Form einer Data Landscape Review durchführen, kann die vorhandene Datenlandschaft als digitales Erbe für CLS-Kontexte erst umfassend sichtbar und als Vorlage für weitere Forschungsvorhaben zugänglich gemacht werden. Unser Posterbeitrag präsentiert die Ergebnisse der Data Landscape Review, das Beschreibungsmodell, dessen Umsetzung in RDF und ein proof-of-concept des Online-Katalogs." Ein Beitrag zur 8. This publication presents the abstracts of What’s Past is Prologue: The NewsEye International Conference organised by the consortium of the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme project NewsEye: A Digital Investigator for Historical Newspapers. This conference, which was held online on the 16th and 17th of March 2021, featured four keynote speakers and over thirty presenters hailing from eleven countries. Spanning from May 2018 to January 2022, NewsEye is a research project advancing the state of the art and introducing new concepts, methods and tools for digital humanities by providing enhanced access to historical newspapers for a wide range of users. Hence, the conference theme Towards a future of interdisciplinary collaboration between Cultural Heritage, Digital Humanities, Computer Science and Data Science reflects certain aspects of the NewsEye project itself. The NewsEye consortium is composed of three national libraries and eight research groups based in Austria, Finland, France and Germany, which have each contributed specialised knowledge in the aforementioned subjects.

Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Handschrift A-Wn Mus. Hs. 15489, dem Winterteil eines Festtagsantiphonars aus dem Prämonstratenserinnenkloster Altenberg an der Lahn (Deutschland). Die Auffindung des bereits teilweise erforschten, dazugehörigen Sommerteils, D-B Lat. Fol. 794 stellte eine große Bereicherung dar. Als Vergleichsmöglichkeit ist Lat. Fol. 794 für den ersten Teil der Arbeit – einer umfassenden, kodikologischen Beschreibung von Mus. Hs. 15489 sowie einer genauen Auseinandersetzung mit der Provenienz Altenberg – von Interesse. Der zweiten Teil der Arbeit enthält ein Inventar der Handschrift, welches mittels der CANTUS-Datenbank angefertigt wurde, sowie eine erste Analyse der Melodietradition, die ergab, dass Mus. Hs. 15489 diesbezüglich eine deutliche französische Prägung aufweist.
