Mathematical education has presented different pedagogical alternatives to the classroom, among which the technologies that have gained space in area research. In part, this is due to the digital culture in which students are inserted. Thus, we reflect on the potential of digital technologies integrated to the teaching of mathematics in the early years of elementary school, both in the classroom and in the virtual space, so that o provide students with autonomy in class so that they can use digital tools and develop their mathematical thinking. We note that researchs on mathematical thinking in the early years is growing, however, few work is on the use of technologies at this level of education, so we designed and implemented an educational product, a virtual teaching and learning environment through the Classroom, in which the planned tasks are made available, as well as guidelines for teachers and some information about the methodologies and theoretical frameworks used in the research. Thus, we elucidate the question: How is the functional thinking of 4th grade students starting from the development of tasks in the perspective Hybrid Teaching? Thus, the research was developed in a 4th grade elementary school class in a school in Northern Paraná and was based on three theoretical frameworks: Hybrid Teaching methodologies, Collaborative Learning and Functional Thinking. Research data are student productions, organized into physical files, in other words, produced by students during class and digital files and available in the virtual teaching and learning environment or captured from computer screens or digital whiteboards. We opted for the interpretative qualitative analysis and the analysis of written production, which seek to evaluate and interpret what the individual produced, not only classifying as right or wrong, but observing what led to the right and what led to the errors, analyzing the meanings of their productions. The results show that the development of tasks from the perspective of hybrid teaching, with the use of digital educational resources, and the dynamics of working in groups, in learning collaboratively, were significant for students' learning and for the development of functional thinking.

BACKGROUND: Early mobilization is part of the rehabilitation process for critically ill patients and is currently considered a means of preventing ICU-acquired muscle deterioration and worsening of physical function. We sought to determine whether the use of speaking valves in tracheostomized patients would improve their mobility. We evaluated the changes in mobility performance with the use of speaking valves in tracheostomized subjects. METHODS: We performed a cohort study of a series of subjects who were tracheostomized and were being weaned from mechanical ventilation between April 2016 and May 2018. The subjects were those able to tolerate a speaking valve for a minimum of 30 min. Demographic data, comorbidities, cause of ICU admission, days in the ICU, duration of mechanical ventilation before tracheostomy, and days free from mechanical ventilation before tracheostomy were collected. Mobility status was evaluated using daily measurements of the Perme Intensive Care Unit Mobility Score. RESULTS: During the study period, 63 patients were tracheostomized. Patients with deficiencies in language (n = 2) or cognitive deficits (n = 36) and patients in exclusive palliative care (n = 7) were excluded. Eighteen subjects were enrolled in the study. The mean age of the subjects was 64.6 ± 14.2 y (55.5% were male), and the most common reason for ICU admission was pneumonia (n = 7; 38.8%). Perme scores increased from 11.3 (interquartile range 10.1-12.0) on the day before initiation of the speaking valve to 18.2 (IQR 16.2-20.1) immediately after the initiation of a speaking valve (P < .01). These changes were maintained during all periods of speaking valve use. CONCLUSION: The use of speaking valves in tracheostomized subjects improved mobility. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
