En los últimos años en Uruguay se ha incrementado el uso de plantas medicinales. El amplio uso de estas se atribuye a su accesibilidad y asequibilidad, especialmente en sectores de menores recursos o alejados de los centros de salud. Históricamente vinculadas al rol de cuidado, las mujeres de áreas rurales tienen una participación clave en la construcción, preservación y trasmisión del conocimiento vinculado al uso de plantas medicinales. Sin embargo, al considerarse esta actividad como parte de las labores domésticas cotidianas, no ha recibido el debido reconocimiento lo que ha traído como consecuencia que estos aportes hayan sido, en muchas ocasiones, invisibilizados. Este trabajo busca acercarse a la producción de conocimientos de mujeres rurales en torno al mundo de las plantas medicinales desde un enfoque de conocimiento contextual y situado y la perspectiva Ingoldeana de Taskscape, haciendo hincapié en analizar los procesos de cambios y transformación de los conocimientos y prácticas en torno a las plantas, así como en la valoración social que estos/as adquieren.

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to analyze how sentiment affects economic activity in Brazil. Design/methodology/approach – Based on a nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model, this study examines in detail the short-term and long-term asymmetric impacts between the variables during the period from January 2007 to December 2020. Findings – There are three main results of this study. First, sentiment is an important factor for economic activity in Brazil, and its effect possibly occurs through the channels of consumption and investment, which are the two main components of economic growth. Second, sentiment affects economic activity in different ways in the short and the long term: in Brazil, although in the short-term, immediate shocks of sentiment may be confusing, the negative shocks from previous periods have a negative impact on economic activity. Third, the effect of shocks of optimism and pessimism on economic activity is asymmetric, and in the long run, only shocks of optimism have a significant and positive impact. Originality/value – The relationship between sentiment and economic activity is still a controversial issue in the literature and this study seeks to advance its understanding in Brazil.

Objective: To test the factor structure, reliability, and validity of the Brazilian version of the Abbreviated Suicidal Narrative Inventory (SNI-38). Methods: We used an anonymous online questionnaire of the SNI-38 and self-report measures administered between November 2020 and October 2021 in the Brazilian community. Participants were recruited through social media advertisements. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed to test the factor structure of the SNI-38. In addition, we assessed internal consistency and convergent validity against stressful life events, suicide crisis syndrome, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts. Results: A total of 2,660 participants were included. The eight-factor model of the SNI-38 had a good model fit (χ2[637] = 7,473.98, p < 0.001, comparative fit index [CFI] = 0.99, Tucker-Lewis index [TLI] = 0.99, root mean squared error of approximation [RMSEA] = 0.07, standardized root mean residual [SRMR] = 0.06). Notably, all items were significantly and positively loaded onto their respective factors (factor loadings ≥ 0.45). The reliability of all subscales except for goal disengagement ranged from good to high. Furthermore, all subscales except goal disengagement showed positive correlations with variables such as suicide crisis syndrome, stressful life events, lifetime/past month suicidal ideation, and lifetime suicide attempts. Conclusion: These findings provide preliminary support for the validity of the Brazilian version of the SNI-38 as an appropriate, valid instrument for measuring suicidal narratives in Brazilian individuals.

Background The WHO identifies climate change as the most significant threat to global health systems. Indigenous peoples, whose lives are deeply intertwined with nature, are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of these changes.Objective This study aimed to understand the perspectives of Indigenous stakeholders and public services managers on the interconnectedness of climate change and Indigenous health.Design A qualitative study with 22 Indigenous stakeholders and public service managers on climate change and perceived impact on Indigenous health.Setting and participants Indigenous stakeholders and public service managers on climate change and perceived impact on Indigenous health from Brazil. Data was collected through interviews incorporating two vignette videos depicting environmental and health scenarios. Thematic content analysis was used to analyse the data.Results The analytical process yielded six subcategories that were further grouped into three overarching thematic macro-categories: environmental degradation and climate change in the context of Indigenous peoples; environment, vulnerability and impact on Indigenous mental health; and actions and public health policies for Indigenous peoples.Conclusion The perspectives of Indigenous stakeholders and public service managers on the interconnectedness of climate change and Indigenous health were deeply entrenched in their lived experiences of loss of their lands from deforestation and environmental degradation. They argued strongly for the strengthening of public health policies aimed at the Indigenous peoples, to face many challenges, especially suicide, and to have a voice in decision-making. A sensitive approach that values Indigenous peoples' connections with nature is fundamental to promote their health and well-being.

Abstract This article aimed to determine how rational and irrational investor sentiments impact the return and volatility of the Brazilian market. The role of sentiment in financial markets is still a recent, controversial and limited subject, and this study explores this relationship in the Brazilian market. The evidence from this research adds to the limited number of studies on investor sentiment in emerging markets and extends the evidence already documented in Brazil. Our results are expected to have an impact on investors, policymakers and monetary authorities. Investors must be aware of economic fundamentals when formulating their investment strategies and also when choosing the stocks that will make up their portfolios. Policymakers and monetary authorities should take sentiment into account when formulating political, economic and monetary strategies, as economic changes can affect investor psychology and be reflected in their stock market trading. Consumer and business confidence indexes were used as proxies for investor sentiment and were regressed against a set of economic fundamentals to isolate their rational and irrational components. Then, autoregressive vector models were estimated and impulse response functions and variance decompositions were generated to verify the impact of sentiment on the return and volatility of the Ibovespa. There are three main results. First, investor sentiment impacts both returns and volatility in the Brazilian market. Second, economic fundamentals were important determinants of returns and volatility in the Brazilian market, indicating that fundamental trading induced by rational sentiment had a greater effect than trading induced by irrational sentiment. Third, in terms of magnitude, consumer-based sentiment had a greater impact than business-based sentiment.

Objective: To evaluate the factor structure, reliability, and validity of the Brazilian version of the Suicide Crisis Inventory-2 (SCI-2) among Brazilian adults. Methods: The SCI-2 was cross-culturally adapted into Portuguese and administered to 2,265 Brazilian participants. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to assess factor structure, internal consistency, convergent validity, and criterion validity by using measures such as suicidal narratives, stressful life events, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts. Results: The revised one-factor model of the SCI-2 demonstrated an adequate, although not optimal, model fit (χ2[1539] = 31,442.79, p < 0.001, comparative fit index [CFI] = 0.99, Tucker-Lewis index [TLI] = 0.99, root mean square error of approximation [RMSEA] = 0.09, standardized root mean residual [SRMR] = 0.05). The revised five-factor model, on the other hand, demonstrated good fit (χ2[1529] = 14,174.86, p < 0.001, CFI = 1.00, TLI = 1.00, RMSEA = 0.06, SRMR = 0.04). Comparison of these two models indicated that the five-factor model had a better fit than the one-factor model. Both the total and subscale scores of the SCI-2 showed strong internal consistency and good convergent and criterion validity in relation to stressful life events, suicidal narratives (excluding the goal disengagement subscale), suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the Brazilian version of the SCI-2 is a valid tool for assessing symptoms of suicidal crisis syndrome.

Soybeans (Glycine max L.), originating in China, were introduced to South America in the late 19th century after passing through North America. South America is now a major soybean-producing region, accounting for approximately 40% of the global soybean production. Crops like soybeans gradually adapt to the local climate and human-selected conditions, resulting in beneficial variations during cultivation in different regions. Comparing the phenotypic and genetic variations in soybeans across different regions is crucial to determining the variations that may enhance soybean productivity. This study identified seed-related traits and conducted a genetic diversity analysis using 46 breeding soybean varieties from China and Uruguay. Compared to the Chinese soybean germplasm, the Uruguayan equivalent had a lower 100-grain weight, higher oil content, lower protein content, and higher soluble sugar content. Using ZDX1 gene chips, genetic typing was performed on the 46 breeding varieties. Cluster analysis based on SNP sites revealed significant differences in the genetic basis of Sino-Uruguayan soybean germplasm. Selection analysis, including nucleotide polymorphism (π) and fixation indexes (Fst), identified several genomic regions under selection between Sino-Uruguayan soybean germplasm. The selected intervals significantly enriched gene ontology (GO) terms related to protein metabolism. Additionally, differentiation occurred in genes associated with the oil content, seed weight, and cyst nematodes between Sino-Uruguayan soybean germplasm, such as GmbZIP123 and GmSSS1. These findings highlight the differences in seed-related phenotypes between Sino-Uruguay soybean germplasm and provide genomic-level insights into the mechanisms behind phenotypic differences, offering valuable references for understanding soybean evolution and molecular breeding.

Resumo Este estudo abordou os efeitos da infraestrutura de Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TICs) no crescimento econômico global, analisando uma amostra de 122 países de 2005 a 2017. A metodologia, seguindo Hansen (1999), segmentou a amostra com base no PIB per capita, revelando impactos distintos das TICs, dependendo do valor threshold específico de cada país. A banda larga, no primeiro regime, não mostrou significância estatística, enquanto as assinaturas móveis de celular e banda larga, no segundo regime, apresentaram coeficientes mais expressivos. No terceiro regime, essas assinaturas mantiveram um impacto positivo, embora com efeito menor. A análise dos fatores macroeconômicos revelou que o comércio impacta negativamente os países dos dois primeiros regimes, o desemprego tem maior impacto no segundo regime, e as despesas de consumo final das administrações públicas afetam todos os regimes, decrescendo com o aumento do PIB per capita. As implicações teóricas enfatizam a necessidade de abordagens flexíveis na formulação de teorias sobre a relação entre TICs e crescimento econômico. Nas implicações práticas, destacam-se recomendações para políticas de investimento em TICs, adaptação de políticas comerciais conforme os regimes de threshold. Os resultados indicam que políticas de investimento em infraestrutura de TICs podem efetivamente impulsionar o crescimento econômico. As contribuições científicas incluem o refinamento de modelos exploratórios, a validação empírica da relevância global das TICs e o apoio ao desenvolvimento de políticas embasadas em evidências. Apesar das contribuições, são reconhecidas limitações relacionadas ao acesso a dados completos, sugerindo futuras pesquisas para aprofundamento.

Objective: An eucalyptus essential oil-based nanoemulsion was produced and evaluated for its antimicrobial properties against Streptococcus mutans and its cytotoxicity in the surface mucous cells of rabbits. Methods: The essential oil-based nanoemulsion was synthesized with two species of eucalyptus—Eucalyptus citriodora and Eucalyptus globulus—followed by physicochemical characterization and the determination of antimicrobial activity and cell viability. Subsequently, the mouthwash formulations (fluoride and fluoride-free) were functionalized with the nanoemulsion, and their in vitro antimicrobial actions were evaluated against S. mutans. Results: The nanoemulsion presented an average particle size of around 100 nm, a polydispersity index close to 0.3, a zeta potential between −19 and −30 mV, a pH close to 7, a spherical shape, and a cell viability above 50%. The antimicrobial activity analysis showed that the nanoemulsion was effective in the control of S. mutans. The mouthwashes functionalized with the nanoemulsion also presented bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. Conclusions: The bio-based material produced with eucalyptus essential oil presented adequate physicochemical characteristics, with the potential to be used as an innovative material in preventive dentistry, contributing to the maintenance of oral and systemic health.

ABSTRACT: The present study assessed soil preparation in terms of the advantages it provides in lowering the physical obstacles and their influence on soybean cultivation, with reference to its establishment, development and yield, apart from quantification of the energy demand for tractor performance. The experiments were performed in the field adopting the randomized block design with a two-factor scheme (6x2). Factor A included a variety of soil preparations performed during the off-season of the soybean crop. Sowing was accomplished using the same fertilizer deposition mechanism only, and the areas having no soil preparation done were sown using various other fertilizer deposition mechanisms from the seeder, namely: (A1) sowing without soil preparation (SSPS)+double disc in the seeder (DD); (A2) SSPS+turbo disc (DT); (A3) SSPS+furrowing rod (HS); (A4) plow harrow+DD; (A5) scarified+DD and (A6) subsoiled+DD. Soil preparations before sowing were done on days 52 and 98 days, respectively, during the first and second harvests. Factor B included two soybean cultivars, namely: (B1) Nidera 6601 and (B2) Brasmax Valente. No interaction was observed between the factors investigated. While the scarification+DD showed the need for higher fuel consumption, the results were increased productivity. For the seeder-linked mechanisms, the HS gives more extensive root development of the plants and grain yield. On the contrary, while DD and DT show the combination of the highest operational capacity and lower fuel usage, this is related to lower grain yield.

Contextualização: O texto destaca a importância da Eficiência de Mercado no ambiente dinâmico e complexo do mercado, que tem sido amplamente estudada e analisada. A abordagem desse tema desperta interesse no meio acadêmico e tem sido objeto de diversos estudos. Objetivo: O estudo tem como objetivo mapear a produção científica relacionada ao conceito de Mercado Eficiente, analisando a evolução dos trabalhos acadêmicos e pesquisas sobre o tema ao longo do tempo. Método: A pesquisa adota uma abordagem descritiva com enfoque quantitativo e análise bibliométrica para mensurar os índices de produtividade científica em um tema específico. Foram identificados 478 artigos relevantes nas bases de dados do Web of Science e Scopus no período de 1977 a 2023. Os softwares EndNote e Bibliometrix R foram utilizados para análise, seguida pela elaboração de tabelas e gráficos estatísticos para apresentação nos softwares Biblioshiny e VOSviewer. Resultados: A análise dos dados revelou um aumento constante nas publicações no campo das finanças relacionadas ao tema, com destaque para periódicos específicos. As afiliações dos periódicos se concentraram principalmente nas regiões da América, Europa e Ásia, em áreas como estatística, economia, negócios e gestão. Referências importantes e temas abordados incluíram eficiência de mercado, finanças comportamentais e eficiência do mercado de ações. Eugene Fama foi destacado como o autor mais influente. Quanto às tendências futuras, áreas como análise da eficiência de mercado, gestão de risco e previsibilidade em períodos de conflitos globais foram identificadas, requerendo métodos complexos e inovadores. Conclusões: Esses resultados contribuem para a ampliação do conhecimento e entendimento sobre eficiência de mercado, incentivando a busca por abordagens inovadoras e complexas para avançar ainda mais nesse campo de estudo.

Abstract Background Medication adherence has a major impact on reducing mortality and healthcare costs related to the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus. Selecting the best patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) among the many available for this kind of patient is extremely important. This study aims to critically assess, compare and synthesize the quality of the measurement properties of patient-reported outcome measures to assess medication adherence among patients with cardiovascular diseases and/or type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods This review followed the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) guidelines and was reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The searches were performed in Web of Science, SCOPUS, PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, LILACS, PsycINFO, and ProQuest (gray literature). Results A total of 110 records encompassing 27 different PROMs were included in the review. The included records were published between 1986 and 2023, most of which reported studies conducted in the United States and were published in English. None of the PROMs were classified in the category “a”, thus being recommended for use due to the quality of its measurement properties. The PROMs that should not be recommended for use (category “c”) are the MTA, GMAS, DMAS-7, MALMAS, ARMS-D, and 5-item questionnaire. The remaining PROMs, e.g., MMAS-8, SMAQ, MEDS, MNPS, ARMS-12, MGT, MTA-OA, MTA-Insulin, LMAS-14, MARS-5, A-14, ARMS-10, IADMAS, MAQ, MMAS-5, ProMAS, ARMS‐7, 3-item questionnaire, AS, 12-item questionnaire, and Mascard were considered as having the potential to be recommended for use (category “b”). Conclusion None of the included PROMs met the criteria for being classified as trusted and recommended for use for patients with cardiovascular diseases and/or type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, 21 PROMs have the potential to be recommended for use, but further studies are needed to ensure their quality based on the COSMIN guideline for systematic reviews of PROMs. Systematic review registration PROSPERO CRD42019129109

Phosphate fertilizers are applied to the soil surface, especially in vineyards in production in subtropical regions. Nowadays, phosphorus (P) is not incorporated into the soil to avoid mechanical damage to the root system in orchards. However, over the years, successive surface P applications can increase the P content only in the topsoil, maintaining low P levels in the subsurface, which can reduce its use by grapevines. For this reason, there is a need to propose strategies to increase the P content in the soil profile of established orchards. The study aimed to evaluate the effect of management strategies to (i) increase the P content in the soil profile; (ii) enhance the grape production; and (iii) maintain the grape must composition. An experiment on the ‘Pinot Noir’ grape in full production was carried out over three crop seasons. The treatments were without P application (C), P on the soil surface without incorporation (SP), P incorporated at 20 cm (IP20), P incorporated at 40 cm (IP40), and twice the P dose incorporated at 40 cm (2IP40). The P concentration in leaves at flowering and veraison, P content in the soil, grape production and its components, and chemical parameters of the grape must (total soluble solids, total polyphenols, total titratable acidity, total anthocyanins, and pH) were evaluated. The P concentration in leaves did not differ among the P application modes. The application of P associated with soil mobilization, especially at 20 cm depth, increased grape production. The P application modes did not affect the values of the chemical parameters of the grape must except for the total anthocyanins, which had the highest values when the vines were subjected to 2IP40. Finally, the P application and incorporation into the soil profile was an efficient strategy for increasing the grape production in full production vineyards.

O projeto de extensão da Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense denominado “Vivências e experiências na realidade da gestão e da assistência na atenção primária em saúde de Criciúma/SC”, em parceria com o Ministério da Saúde, conta com a imersão do acadêmico no ensino, na pesquisa, na extensão universitária e na participação social. O presente relato de experiência visa descrever as ações de conscientização acerca da importância da vacinação realizadas em um município de do extremo sul catarinense, pelo grupo de Educação em Saúde, do programa PET-Saúde. As experiências foram apresentadas em quatro momentos: escolha da “vacinação” como tema de educação em saúde a ser abordado com a população; pesquisas sobre o tema e definição das ações a serem realizadas; organização e desenvolvimento dos materiais; e realização das ações. As ações de educação em saúde acerca da vacinação possibilitaram aos acadêmicos um processo de imersão teórico-prático dentro da atenção primária em saúde do município, desenvolvendo ações para trabalhar fragilidades apresentadas nesse nível de assistência. A educação em saúde é uma importante ferramenta para a prevenção e promoção da saúde. A vivência dentro do Sistema Único de Saúde contribui para a formação acadêmica e profissional dos estudantes da área da saúde, estimulando uma visão mais ampla sobre as condições enfrentadas nesse sistema. Palavras-chave: Imunização; Atenção Primária Em Saúde; Extensão Universitária Vaccination as a health education topic: Experience report from the PET-Saúde project Abstract: The extension project of the University of Extremo Sul Catarinense, entitled "Experiences and realities in the management and primary health care assistance in Criciúma” (Santa Catarina State, Brazil), in partnership with the Ministry of Health, involves the immersion of students in teaching, research, university extension, and social engagement. This experiential report aims to describe the awareness-raising actions regarding the importance of vaccination in a municipality in the southernmost region of Santa Catarina by the Health Education group of the PET-Saúde program. The experiences were presented in four stages: selection of "vaccination" as the topic for health education with the population; research on the subject and definition of the actions to be carried out; organization and development of materials; and implementation of the actions. The health education activities on vaccination allowed the students to engage in a theoretical and practical immersion within the primary health care of the municipality, addressing weaknesses observed at this level of care. Health education is an essential tool for prevention and health promotion. The experience within the Unified Health System contributes to the academic and professional development of students in the health field, stimulating a broader understanding of the conditions faced within this system. Este artigo objetiva teorizar a trajetória desenvolvida no projeto “A Escola Faz Cinema” consoante à Trilha de Aprofundamento, demonstrando como a produção audiovisual se coloca como um considerável recurso para a produção de conhecimento de modo coletivo e dialógico, com base nas experiências vivenciadas pelos autores deste texto. Assim, este trabalho parte da metodologia de relato de experiências com aportes na teoria da pesquisa cartográfica de Deleuze e Guattari. Os relatos que compõem este trabalho possuem origem nos percursos formativos construídos na Trilha de Aprofundamento Integrada “Linguagens Tecnológicas para as Sociedades em Rede” em duas turmas de segundo ano de ensino médio de uma escola estadual do município de Xanxerê, no ano de 2022. Pretende-se a partir deste relato lançar reflexões acerca das possibilidades, se hão, de produzir momentos de aprendizagens significativas dentro da estrutura curricular proposta pela reforma que implanta o novo ensino médio. Será, também, a partir dessas reflexões que se pensará sobre de que maneira o audiovisual pode contribuir enquanto produtora de conhecimento e construção imagética de saberes. Objective: to evaluate the patient safety climate in Primary Health Care from the perspective of nurses working in the services. Method: a quantitative and cross-sectional study conducted with 148 nurses from a municipality in the state of São Paulo. The Brazilian version of the Primary Care Safety Questionnaire Survey and personal, professional, and organizational performance variables (intention to stay at work, job satisfaction, care quality, and frequency of incidents) were used. Parametric and non-parametric comparison tests and Spearman’s correlation coefficient were performed, considering a 5% significance level. Results: the safety climate was positive, varying from 4.52 to 5.33 and differing across districts for workload (p=0.0214) and leadership (p=0.0129). The safety climate professional variables and dimensions differed in relation to the frequency of incidents. Teamwork and safety and learning system were strongly correlated with job satisfaction and moderately with perceived care quality. Conclusion: teamwork and safety and learning system stood out for their positive correlations with job satisfaction and care quality. A positive safety climate favors the involvement of Primary Care nurses to develop improvement plans aligned with the National Patient Safety Program.

Abstract Although self‐report instruments are currently considered a valuable tool for measuring adherence, due to their low cost and ease of implementation, there are still important factors that impact measurement accuracy, such as social desirability and memory bias. Thus, the Global Assessment of Medication Adherence Instrument (GEMA) was developed to provide an accurate measure of this construct. The aim of this study was to evaluate the properties of the measurement of the Global Evaluation of Medication Adherence Instrument (GEMA) among patients with chronic diseases. A methodological study was conducted in the public hospital of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The adherence to anticoagulants as well as the international normalized ratio (INR) was assessed on 127 patients. Besides GEMA, two other instruments were used to assess adherence: the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale‐8 (MMAS‐8) and the Measurement of Adhesion to Treatments (MAT). The GEMA presented a satisfactory level of specificity (0.76) to identify adherents among those with a stable INR, low sensitivity (0.43) for the identification of non‐adherents among those with an unstable INR, and a Positive Predictive Value of 0.70. Positive and weak to moderate correlations were observed between the proportion of doses assessed with GEMA and the scores on the MMAS‐8 (r = .26 and r = .22, respectively) and the MAT (r = .22 and r = .30, respectively). The GEMA presented good practicality, acceptability, and evidence of specificity regarding the stability of the INR. The validity of the construct was partially supported by the relationship with self‐reported measures of adherence.

Background: Primary care is a fundamental component of healthcare in Brazil. Often provided by nurses, little is known about the practice environment of nurses in primary care and if nurses are satisfied with their role in the primary care setting. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine if aspects of the primary care practice environment in Brazil are associated nurse reported outcomes of job satisfaction, intention to stay on the job, and the quality of care. Design: A cross-sectional survey that included a randomized cluster stratified sample of nurses who provided primary care services. Settings: 55 health centers within five health districts located in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Participants: 148 primary care nurses who completed and returned a survey Methods: The paper-based survey was made available to nurse participants. Nurses were queried on demographic and practice characteristics. Specific measures included the Practice Environment Scale-Brazilian, the job satisfaction subscale of the Safety Attitudes Questionnaire, and single items that assessed intention to stay on the job and the perceived quality of care. Generalized linear and Poisson regression models were used to estimates outcomes of interest. Results: Slightly more than half (56.5%) of the nurses reported a favorable practice environment and they provided on average a high score of 75.29 (SD = 21.03) on job satisfaction. High scores were also reported on intention to stay on the job (mean = 8.08; SD = 2.91) and the quality of patient care (mean = 7.68; SD = 1.38). ABSTRACTIn this paper, we analyze the process of social production of knowledge regarding the use of medicinal plants in three groups of rural women who gather and commercialize plants in the department of Canelones, Uruguay. This study is based on the hypothesis that the social labeling of these practices as exclusive to the domestic sphere has decontextualized and hidden the production of knowledge in such spaces, invisibilizing and not recognizing female contributions. We analyze four behavioral dynamics of this knowledge (conservation, erosion, innovation and transformation) in relation to the influence of the sex/gender system in the production and social valuation of this knowledge. Finally, given that these groups of women commercialize medicinal plants and products, we reflect on the transition of this knowledge into the commercial sphere, the consequences, possible changes and the effects on the social valuation of this knowledge.
