The objective of this work was to verify the responses of morphogenic and structural characteristics of Urochloa brizantha as a function of fertigation application strategies with sewage treatment plant effluent (TSE), complemented with urea (U), associated with harvest with two plant heights during the dry and rainy periods. The forage cutting heights were 30 cm (H-1) and 40 cm (H-2), and nitrogen fertilization doses were 9.1(D-1), 12.1 (D-2), 22.5 (D-3), 26.6 (D-4), and 34.0 (D-5) kg of N per Mg-1 of dry matter (DM) produced, applied by TSE via fertigation, plus 7.5 kg N per Mg-1 of DM produced, applied in the form of urea by cover in all treatments. Factor analyses for the dry and rainy periods identified two processes that correspond to forage mass growth and leaf development. Analysis of variance showed that treatments D5H2 and D5H1 presented superior responses over the other treatments, in the dry, and rainy periods. The treatment D5H2 stood out in the process of forage mass growth, and D5H1 in leaf development. No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2018-01-01 Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) In this work, for the first time bacterial cellulose (BC) hydrogel membranes were used for the fabrication of antimicrobial cellulosic nanocomposites by hydrothermal deposition of Cu derivative nanoparticles (i.e. Cu(0) and CuxOy species). BC-Cu nanocomposites were characterized by FTIR, SEM, AFM, XRD and TGA, to study the effect of hydrothermal processing time on the final physicochemical properties of final products. XRD result show that depending on heating time (3-48 h), different CuxOy phases were achieved. SEM and AFM analyses unveil the presence of the Cu(0) and copper CuxOy nanoparticles over BC fibrils while the surface of 3D network became more compact and smother for longer heating times. Furthermore, the increase of heating time placed deleterious effect on the structure of BC network leading to decrease of BC crystallinity as well as of the on-set degradation temperature. Notwithstanding, BC-Cu nanocomposites showed excellent antimicrobial activity against E. coli, S. aureus and Salmonella bacteria suggesting potential applications as bactericidal films. Learning styles have been studied with great depth in the last filly years based on psychological currents (HERRMANN, 1982) or pedagogical (GARDNER, 1995) and learning theories. There are also several instruments (LSI, HBDI, LSI ++, CHAEA) that measure the styles and that obey these same referents. With this study we created the -REA- with a theoretical foundation integrating different theories (KOHLBER, 1969, BANDLER and GRINDER, 1979, KOLB, 1984, DUNN, DUNN and PRICE, 1985, FELDER and SILVERMAN, 1988), adapted to ordinary school contexts, that can be completed by teachers as an instrument of reflection on their students and, at the same time, as an illustrator of new ways of understanding how students learn and intervention in classrooms. No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2010-01-01 O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o desempenho de acará-bandeira (Pterophyllum scalare) produzidos em diferentes densidades em gaiolas no sistema semi-intensivo instaladas em viveiros em policultivo com camarão-da-amazônia (Macrobrachium amazonicum). Foram testados 4 tratamentos (1; 2; 3 e 4 peixes.10 L-1) em dois viveiros escavados, com 4 repetições cada, em um total de 16 unidades experimentais. Os parâmetros de qualidade de água ficaram dentro do esperado para ambas as espécies. Os dados de desempenho - peso médio, sobrevivência, comprimento padrão, conversão alimentar, fator de condição alométrico, biomassa e uniformidade do lote foram submetidos à ANOVA e as receitas brutas de cada tratamento foram calculadas. Os peixes produzidos na menor densidade apresentaram maiores valores de peso final e comprimento padrão, e menores valores de biomassa em comparação aos demais tratamentos. A conversão alimentar aparente, sobrevivência, uniformidade do lote e fator de condição não apresentaram diferenças significativas entre os tratamentos. A maior densidade testada produziu mais peixes e gerou maior receita bruta do que os demais tratamentos. Portanto, recomenda-se o uso da densidade de 20 peixes.10L-1 para produção comercial de acará-bandeira em gaiolas em viveiro em policultivo com camarão-da-amazônia. The aim of this study was to evaluate the production of Freshwater Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) in different stocking densities in cages polycultured with Amazon River Prawn (Macrobrachium amazonicum). Four treatments were evaluated (1; 2; 3 and 4 fish. 10 L(-1)) using two ponds and 24 experimental units. Water quality parameter reached adequate levels for the species. Production data were submitted to ANOVA. Fish produced in the lowest density showed higher values of final weight and standard length, and lower total biomass in comparison with the others treatments. Feed conversion rate, survival, batch uniformity and body factor were not significant different among treatments. The highest density tested produced more fish and gross yield than the others treatments. The density 20 fish. 10L(-1) is recommended to produce Freshwater Angelfish in cages polycultured with Amazon River Prawn. Neuroendocrine and cardiovascular responses, drinking behavior, and urinary excretions were examined following central angiotensinergic stimulation in awake freely-moving rats pretreated with intracerebroventricular injections of N omega-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME, 40 mu g), an inhibitor of NO synthase, and L-arginine (20 ug), a precursor of NO.Results: Injections of L-NAME or ANG-II produced an increase in plasma vasopressin (VP), oxytocin (OT) and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) levels, an increase in water and sodium intake, mean arterial blood pressure and sodium excretion, and a reduction of urinary volume. L-NAME pretreatment enhanced the ANG-II response, while L-arginine attenuated VP and OT release, thirst, appetite for sodium, antidiuresis, and natriuresis, as well as pressor responses induced by ANG-II.Discussion and conclusion: Thus, the central nitrergic system participates in the angiotensinergic responses evoked by water deprivation and hypovolemia to refrain neurohypophysial secretion, hydromineral balance, and blood pressure homeostasis.
