Los reportes de sostenibilidad son una vía de comunicación de las empresas para evaluar y legitimar sus actuaciones ante sus stakeholders. El propósito de este documento es estudiar la evolución de la elaboración y divulgación de reportes de sostenibilidad en Argentina entre 2004 y 2021, su distribución sectorial y la influencia de acuerdos voluntarios en las prácticas de divulgación. Mediante una metodología exploratoria y descriptiva, se analizan datos de 155 empresas cotizadas en Argentina, se examina la divulgación de reportes de sostenibilidad y se evalúa la adhesión al Pacto Global. Los resultados muestran que la difusión es baja, difiere entre sectores y que la adhesión a acuerdos voluntarios aumenta significativamente la divulgación. Desde un enfoque institucional, se sugiere la coexistencia del isomorfismo normativo y mimético. El estudio subraya la necesidad de acelerar las prácticas de difusión a través del diseño de políticas obligatorias y la sensibilización de empresas, inversores y otros interesados.

En este artículo se presentan voces de quienes intervinieron en una de las conversaciones enmarcadas en el II Ciclo de Conferencias Webinars y Educación: “Dilemas de la gestión educativa y emergentes actuales”, realizado en el año 2021 (UNQui- UNICEN).Se asume que el ciclo fue ocasión para analizar, en contexto de pandemia, las experiencias vividas a partir del relato de investigadores y gestores. Las resonancias permiten identificar coordenadas que pueden ser tomadas por la gestión, representando una posibilidad para revisar posiciones en la pospandemia. El eje del encuentro fue “Dilemas de la gestión educativa en el nivel inicial y emergentes actuales”, en torno al cual convergieron las perspectivas de dos gestoras de la educación provinciales y de una investigadora del campo. Actualizar miradas acerca de las experiencias en territorio permite plantear los desafíos que se presentan para la gestión de lo educativo en tiempo actual y proponer nuevas perspectivas para la gestión de nuestros sistemas educativos.

Introducción: Implicar a las personas con enfermedad renal crónica avanzada en la toma de decisiones sobre su tratamiento, fomenta su autonomía y garantiza la libre elección del mismo. Este proceso educativo, culmina con la elección de modalidad de tratamiento, que debe ser coherente con sus valores, preferencias y estilo de vida. Sin embargo, poco sabemos sobre su satisfacción con la elección realizada, una vez iniciado el tratamiento. Objetivo: Conocer el grado de satisfacción del paciente renal con el tratamiento renal sustitutivo elegido. Material y Método: Estudio cuantitativo, observacional descriptivo transversal, realizado en la Unidad de Diálisis del Complejo Asistencial Universitario de León en 2024. Se incluyeron pacientes crónicos en programa de diálisis, que hubieran pasado por la Unidad de Enfermedad Renal Crónica Avanzada para información sobre opciones de tratamiento, y llevaran más de 1 mes en tratamiento. Se estudiaron variables demográficas, clínicas y satisfacción con la elección. Resultados: Se estudiaron 58 pacientes. El 67,24% fueron hombres. La edad media 67,1±13,98 años y mediana de 69,5 años. El tiempo medio en tratamiento 30,64±31,67 meses, el 74,14% estaban en Hemodiálisis y el 98,3% estaban satisfechos con su elección. No hemos encontrado diferencias estadísticamente significativas en la satisfacción de los pacientes, entre las diferentes opciones de diálisis (p=0.551). Conclusiones: El porcentaje de arrepentimiento fue bajo, solo el 1,7%. Valorar la satisfacción del paciente con su tratamiento dialítico, puede ayudar a verificar si está satisfecho y/o desea cambiar de modalidad.

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar como agiu o colonizador ibérico quando chegou ao Novo Mundo e se deparou com povos nativos de culturas muito diversas e de como ignoraram totalmente os costumes e tentaram invisibilizar o outro. Além do mais, o texto em questão visa discutir e examinar como elementos da cultura popular portuguesa foram infiltrados e ressignificados no Brasil e como os “restos ou rejeitados” fizeram para manter viva a sua base cultural. Para fazermos tal percurso apresentaremos a lenda da Moura Encantada e a da Moura Torta, ambas europeias, e as analisaremos tendo como contraponto as narrativas de mitos indígenas, dentre eles o da Iara, de forma a demonstrar que o caldeirão cultural não foi e não é uma via de mão única e que muitos de nossos personagens mitológicos encontrados, principalmente, nas florestas do Brasil e de outros países da América do Sul, renderam histórias e aguçaram o imaginário europeu, especialmente, sobre a Amazônia e tudo que nela pode ser reinventado. Para referendar nossas análises nos valeremos dos autores Walter Mignollo, Aníbal Quijano e Edgardo Lander e Frantz Fanon.

Generalized lymphatic anomaly (GLA) is an infrequent multiorgan disease characterized by the presence of abnormal proliferation of lymphatic vessels. The diagnosis requires histological confirmation, and the treatment is controversial. We are presenting a case of a 28-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with an extragonadal mediastinal nonseminomatous germ cell tumor. He underwent chemotherapy, and during this treatment, radiologic findings evidenced lytic lesions. Multiple biopsies were performed, which revealed the presence of abnormal lymphatic vessels, characteristic of GLA. There are different etiologies of osteolytic lesions, and on some occasions, they mimic a tumoral entity. The clinical suspicion of GLA is the first step in approaching the diagnosis, particularly in young adult patients.

This paper proposes a methodology for an alternative history matching process enhanced by the incorporation of a simplified binary interpretation of reservoir saturation logs (RST) as objective function. Incorporating fluids saturation logs during the history matching phase unlocks the possibility to adjust or select models that better represent the near wellbore waterfront movement, which is particularly important for uncertainty mitigation during future well interference assessments in water driven reservoirs. For the purposes of this study, a semi-synthetic open-source reservoir model was used as base case to evaluate the proposed methodology. The reservoir model represents a water driven, highly heterogenous sandstone reservoir from Namorado field in Brazil. To effectively compare the proposed methodology against the conventional methods, a commercial reservoir simulator was used in combination with a state-of-the-art benchmarking workflow based on the Big Loop™ approach. A well-known group of binary metrics were evaluated to be used as the objective function, and the Matthew correlation coefficient (MCC) has been proved to offer the best results when using binary data from water saturation logs. History matching results obtained with the proposed methodology allowed the selection of a more reliable group of reservoir models, especially for cases with high heterogeneity. The methodology also offers additional information and understanding of sweep behaviour behind the well casing at specific production zones, thus revealing full model potential to define new wells and reservoir development opportunities.

The use of plant-based preparations to replace chemical pesticides is a challenge for sustainable agriculture. Preparations from nettle (Urtica dioica L.) are good candidates, as the treatment of common bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) with aqueous suspensions of nettle reduced symptoms of halo blight disease caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola (Pph). The aim of the present work was to test if nettle infusions (Ui) have similar effects and find out what activity is behind this: antimicrobial, promotion of the natural defenses of plants, and/or antioxidant. To achieve this, Pph growth was tested in the presence of infusions of nettle leaves collected in two different years (Ui18 and Ui22), and we found that it was only weakly inhibited at high concentrations of Ui18. Interestingly, Ui22 promoted bacteria growth at all concentrations. Second, we estimated the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in response to flagellin22 (flg22) in common bean leaf discs, since recognition of this bacterial peptide usually leads to ROS accumulation in tissues as a plant immune response. However, leaf discs that were preincubated in Ui showed no accumulation of ROS after flg22 treatment, suggesting that Ui can neutralize ROS production. Finally, in a Pph inoculation experiment of common bean plants grown in vitro, we observed that pretreatment of plants with Ui drastically reduced foliar oxidative damage and disease symptoms 6 h after inoculation. This effect was more noticeable for Ui22, which was related to the higher antioxidant activity found in this extract in comparison with Ui18. These results suggest that the protective properties of Ui are mainly due to the content of antioxidant bioactive compounds.

Introducción: Cuando existe un desequilibrio en el huésped, se ha demostrado que hay microorganismos que contribuyen a la formación de distintas periodontopatías, siendo considerados como principales microorganismos los del complejo rojo de Socransky: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Tannerella forsythia y Treponema denticola. En estudios recientes se consideran también como posibles patógenos de enfermedad periodontal: Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans y Enterococcus faecalis. Objetivo: Analizar los microorganismos presentes en la enfermedad periodontal, mediante una revisión bibliográfica. Métodos: Se recurre a una investigación documental descriptiva. Se realiza mediante una revisión bibliográfica narrativa, se realizó mediante la búsqueda de artículos científicos en bases de datos como Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier, Ovid, Scopus y Google Academic; considerando 47 literaturas que se ajustan a los criterios de inclusión. Conclusiones: Se confirmó que las bacterias pertenecientes al complejo rojo: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Tannerella forsythia y Treponema denticola son principales causantes de la Enfermedad Periodontal. Mientras que, en diferentes estudios, se demostró la presencia de microorganismos como: Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans y Enterococcus faecalis asociando sus factores de virulencia y fisiopatología con las Enfermedad Periodontal, estos microorganismos son considerados como periodontopatógenos oportunistas, sin embargo, no se logró demostrar que sean precursores de la misma.

One of the main concerns facing societies today is unemployment. However, its evolution in all economies is not the same. It is necessary to know the determining factors of the evolution of the unemployment rate because it is one of the variables that can delay and prevent real convergence with the rest of the European Union Member States. The aim of this paper is to present an explanatory model, since the beginning of the 21st century, for unemployment in two Mediterranean economies with important historical, cultural, and economic ties. The identification of the explanatory variables of unemployment allows us to determine whether the response of the Greek and Cypriot authorities to reduce unemployment has been adequate.

Abstract Basaloid follicular hamartoma is a benign, superficial malformation of hair follicles that can be mistaken both clinical and histopathologically for basal cell carcinoma. Basaloid follicular hamartoma has been linked to a mutation in the PTCH-1 gene, which is part of the same pathway involved in Gorlin-Goltz syndrome. Here we present a 9-year-old patient with an asymptomatic congenital lesion on the forehead, which increased in size over the years. Histopathology showed a basaloid follicular hamartoma associated with follicular mucinosis and inflammation. Gorlin-Goltz syndrome was ruled out by clinical examination.

Objective: To determine the link between physical fitness and body composition with nocturnal and nap time in Spanish older adults. Methods: Eight hundred thirty older adults underwent several tests. Sleep was measured using Jenkins Sleep Scale. Nocturnal sleep was categorized (9 hours), and nap time (no nap, 1–30 minutes, and >30 minutes).Physical fitness was evaluated using validated tests, and body composition by electric bioimpedance. Results: 75.1% of participants were female, mean age 77.7 ± 5.1 years. Mean nocturnal sleep and nap time was 6.7 hours and 23.3 minutes, respectively. Models showed nocturnal sleep >9 hours was significant and positively associated with body shape index (Odds ratio[ OR ] = 4.07 ( p = .011)) and waist circumference OR = 1.04 ( p = .024) in females. Males’ waist and hip circumference were positively significantly related to nap time between 1 and 30 minutes, OR = 1.08, p = .009 and OR = 1.08, p = .048, respectively. In females, nap time >30 minutes was associated with greater fat mass and body shape index OR = 1.22, p = .032 and OR = 3.95, p = .027, respectively. Physical fitness showed no associations with sleep outcomes. Conclusions: Sleep patterns do not influence physical fitness but body composition, being more related to female body composition as nocturnal and nap sleep were associated with higher fat mass, waist circumference and body shape index, while only short nap times were related to higher waist and hip circumference in males.

Abstract Glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 antibodies (anti-GAD65) have been found in patients with late-onset chronic temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). No prior neuroimaging studies have addressed how they affect hippocampal volume and shape and how they relate to cognitive abnormalities. We aimed to investigate both brain structure and function in patients with isolated TLE and high anti-GAD65 levels (RIA ≥ 2000 U/ml) compared to 8 non-immune mesial TLE (niTLE) and 8 healthy controls (HC). Hippocampal subfield volume properties were correlated with the duration of the disease and cognitive test scores. The affected hippocampus of GAD-TLE patients showed no volume changes to matched HC whereas niTLE volumes were significantly smaller. Epilepsy duration in GAD-TLE patients correlated negatively with volumes in the presubiculum, subiculum, CA1, CA2–3, CA4, molecular layer and granule cell-molecular layer of the dentate nucleus. We found differences by advanced vertex-wise shape analysis in the anterior hippocampus of the left GAD-TLE compared to HC whereas left niTLE showed bilateral posterior hippocampus deformation. Verbal deficits were similar in GAD-TLE and niTLE but did not correlate to volume changes. These data might suggest a distinct expression of hippocampal structural and functional abnormalities based on the immune response.

El siguiente trabajo tiene como objetivo conocer la presencia de índices sostenibles en el contexto latinoamericano y analizarlos desde el punto de vista de su metodología, funcionamiento y finalidad. Para el relevamiento se consideraron las bolsas de valores latinoamericanas listadas como miembros de la iniciativa de Bolsas de Valores Sostenibles de las Naciones Unidas (United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges) a noviembre 2020 y la información disponible en las guías metodológicas de cada índice. De los análisis efectuados se puede apreciar que Europa y Asia son los mercados que cuentan con el mayor número de índices activos y que la presencia de los mismos en América Latina y el Caribe es baja e incipiente. En cuanto a las metodologías de cada índice se visualiza que las mismas varían según el índice en cuestión. Si bien se observa la presencia conjunta de criterios best in class y criterios de exclusión, las mismas difieren en cuanto al análisis de la sostenibilidad que realizan para cada dimensión el cual no es general sino, por el contrario, específico.
