Abstract The widespread adoption of cloud computing has dramatically altered how data is stored, processed, and accessed in an era. The rapid development of digital technologies characterizes all this. The widespread adoption of cloud services has introduced new obstacles to guaranteeing secure and expeditious access to sensitive data. Organizations of all types find user-friendly and cost-effective solutions crucial, which is why they consider cloud services essential. The availability of the cloud hampers access control security in systems that are constantly and remotely changing. Conventional methods of access control are efficient, but the advanced world of technology exposes them to more threats. Applying blockchain technology to cloud access control systems, which are decentralized, transparent, and tamper-proof, has overcome these challenges. This paper aims to discuss the potential of blockchain in enhancing access management, security and trust in cloud computing. Besides, this scholarly article reviews the evolving area of blockchain-based access control systems and synthesizes the findings of 118 selected papers from various academic repositories. Based on this systematic review of the studies, twelve different types of blockchain-based access control paradigms can be identified. This work provides a critical analysis of the research on blockchain technology in access control systems, with a focus on scalability, compatibility, and security challenges. It also highlights areas that require further research and proposes directions for future research to advance this rapidly growing area of scholarship.

Abstract Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that mostly affects old aged people. Its symptoms are initially mild, but they get worse over time. Although this health disease has no cure, its early diagnosis can help to reduce its impacts. A methodology SMOTE‐RF is proposed for AD prediction. Alzheimer's is predicted using machine learning algorithms. Performances of three algorithms decision tree, extreme gradient boosting (XGB), and random forest (RF) are evaluated in prediction. Open Access Series of Imaging Studies longitudinal dataset available on Kaggle is used for experiments. The dataset is balanced using synthetic minority oversampling technique. Experiments are done on both imbalanced and balanced datasets. Decision tree obtained 73.38% accuracy, XGB obtained 83.88% accuracy and RF obtained a maximum of 87.84% accuracy on the imbalanced dataset. Decision tree obtained 83.15% accuracy, XGB obtained 91.05% accuracy and RF obtained maximum 95.03% accuracy on the balanced dataset. A maximum accuracy of 95.03% is achieved with SMOTE‐RF.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) ranks as the sixth leading cause of death, emphasizing the need for early-stage prediction to prevent its progression. Due to the complexity and heterogeneity of medical tests, manually comparing, visualizing, and analyzing data is often difficult and time-consuming. As a result, a computational approach for accurately predicting brain changes through the classification of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans becomes highly valuable, though challenging. This paper introduces a novel method for diagnosing the early stages of AD by utilizing an efficient mapping technique to differentiate between affected and normal MRI scans. The approach combines a hybrid unsupervised learning framework, specifically the adaptive moving self-organizing map (AMSOM) method integrated with Fuzzy K-means. To ensure optimal feature extraction, we introduce a hybrid learning framework that embeds feature vectors in a subspace. The analysis compares various mapping approaches to identify features linked to Alzheimer’s disease. The proposed method achieves a classification accuracy of 95.75% on the Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS) MRI brain image database, outperforming existing methods.

Breast cancer is an increasingly serious problem in contemporary society, with millions of women and men worldwide affected by the disease. While traditional cancer detection strategies are at times effective, they typically require costly and time-intensive methods for implementation. The major drawback of using conventional methods for identifying breast cancer using the available data sets is that a single algorithm is not sufficient for accurate breast cancer diagnosis due to the heterogeneity of tumors, diverse data types, pattern complexity, feature engineering and dataset overfitting. The aim is to surpass the constraints of the conventional models and develop a hybrid model. The idea is to attain higher accuracy and lower computational time than existing models. This paper introduces a new method for detecting breast cancer using a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM). The model combines the strengths of both approaches, extracting sequential features from local data and modeling temporal dependencies and relationships. To detect and classify breast cancer, the 1D CNN and LSTM are used to automatically extract and analyze features from distinguishing features from a real dataset generated from mammography reports. The developed model has been assessed on on the extracted feature of the primary available dataset consisting of mammograms from over 760 patients. The developed model achieves 99% accuracy on the test data, demonstrating its potential to provide an automated approach to breast cancer detection. The work emphasizes a significant improvement in feature extraction, accuracy, and robustness. Additionally, the proposed model’s versatility allows it to handle diverse data types, achieve better generalization and lower computational time. The model offers a high level of interpretability, which is crucial for medical professionals to understand and trust the decision-making process of the system. The developed hybrid model outperforms various other state-of-the-art techniques like ANN, CNN, CNN-Bi-LSTM-GRU-AM (Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory-Gated Recurrent Unit-Attention Mechanism), and CNN-GRU (Convolutional Neural Network- Gated Recurrent Unit) in terms of accuracy, feature extraction and computational time. This work emphasises the potential of 1D CNN augmented with LSTM to create an automated system for identifying breast cancer. Hence, provides a promising foundation for further development and practical usage of deep learning for automated cancer diagnosis.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) offers a centralized network management approach that can effectively address the complex and varied traffic demands characteristic of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) environments by decoupling the control plane from the data plane. The centralized control architecture of SDN necessitates the performance optimization of controllers to manage diverse traffic efficiently within IIoT applications. This paper explores the criteria for selecting controllers in SDN-enabled IIoT (SD-IIoT) environments, utilizing the Less Complex Analytic Network Process (LC-ANP) to establish their prioritization. A ranking system for SD-IIoT controllers is formulated using LC-ANP, and experimental validation of this method underscores its effectiveness in optimizing controller performance. The proposed approach enhances the overall efficiency of SDN-enabled IIoT networks, as evidenced by experimental evaluations measuring delay, throughput, packet loss ratio (PLR), and jitter across five different topologies with varying nodes and edges. The experiments indicate an overall increase in the average throughput, and a decrease in delay, jitter, and PLR. The results also show that the suggested strategy and proposed controller surpass the benchmark controller in complex network topologies. These results confirm the method’s capacity to significantly improve network performance in SD-IIoT applications.

Quantum computers use quantum-mechanical phenomena for knowledge manipulation and depend on quantum bits or qubits. A qubit can be created in several different ways, and out of this, one way of creating a quantum state is by using superconductivity. They must be held very cold to work on these superconductive qubits for long periods. The key to information storage and manipulation is the skill of all computer systems. Current traditional computers handle single bits stored in binary states of 0 and 1 form. Every temperature factor inside the device may be updated; thus, quantum computers are more excellent than the vacuum of space at temperatures similar to absolute null. Consider how the dilution refrigerator of a quantum computer consisting of over 2000 components provides a cold atmosphere for the inside of the qubits. Researchers from all around the world today are using actual quantum processors for validating algorithms for different fields of operation. Yet quantum computation was a strictly speculative topic a couple of decades ago. Quantum cryptography, also known as quantum encoding, uses quantum mechanics principles to encrypt messages in a way nobody else reads. It benefits quantum states, along with its “theory of no transition,” which means that it cannot be disrupted unknowingly. Quantum-improved AI calculations are especially applicable to the area. This work focuses on the implementation patterns of quantum computing in real-time cryptography so that the overall communication will be secured and integrity aware.

The security of the Internet of Things (IoT) is crucial in various application platforms, such as the smart city monitoring system, which encompasses comprehensive monitoring of various conditions. Therefore, this study conducts an analysis on the utilization of blockchain technology for the purpose of monitoring Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The analysis is carried out by employing parametric objective functions. In the context of the Internet of Things (IoT), it is imperative to establish well-defined intervals for job execution, ensuring that the completion status of each action is promptly monitored and assessed. The major significance of proposed method is to integrate a blockchain technique with neuro-fuzzy algorithm thereby improving the security of data processing units in all smart city applications. As the entire process is carried out with IoT the security of data in both processing and storage units are not secured therefore confidence level of monitoring units are maximized at each state. Due to the integration process the proposed system model is implemented with minimum energy conservation where 93% of tasks are completed with improved security for about 90%.

Abstract Fruits significantly impact everyday living, i.e., Citrus fruits. Numerous fruits have a solid nutritious value and are packed with multivitamins and trace components. Citrus fruits are delicate and susceptible to many diseases and infections. Many researchers have suggested deep and machine learning-based fruit disease detection and classification models. This research presents a precise fruit disease identification model based on context data fusion with Faster-CNN in an edge computing environment. The goal is to develop an accurate, efficient, and trustable fruit disease detection model, a critical component of autonomous food production in a robotic edge platform. This research examines and explores four different diseases of Citrus fruits using CNN deep learning models to be adopted as edge computing solutions. Identification of citrus diseases such as cankers black spot, greening, scab, melanosis, and healthy citrus fruits are implemented using the proposed sequential model without pruning, with pruning having different sparsity levels followed by post quantization. Through the transfer learning method, this model is optimized for the assignment of fruit disease detection employing visuals from two patterns: Near-infrared (NIFR) and RGB. Early and late data fusion techniques for integrating multi-model (NIFR and RGB) facts are evaluated. The accuracy obtained from the proposed model for the canker disease is 97%, scab 95%, melanosis 99%, Greening 97%, Black spot 97% and healthy 97%. In this paper, the results of the proposed model are compared and evaluated with the sparsity levels of 50–80%, 60–90%, 70–90%, and 80–90% pruning and also obtained the results of post-quantization on each level. The results show that the model size with 60–90% pruning can be counteracted to the 47.64 of the baseline model without significant loss of accuracy. Moreover, post-quantization can reduce the 60–90% pruning from 28.16 to 8.72. In addition to enhanced precision, the above initiative is much faster to implement for new fruit diseases because it needs bounding box annotation instead of pixel-level annotation.

In this comprehensive paper the method of detecting various diseases within short period of time using Audio Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) techniques is proposed. For proper functioning of AR/VR models in medical applications three distinct algorithms such Genetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is integrated where the entire operation is performed with respect to search space. Moreover, the detection process in AR/VR models depends on several factors where minimum error functions must be ensured. Hence in the integrated technique both Absolute Errors (AE) and Time Errors (TE) are measured and compared with existing methods. As the performance of detection is greatly improved with search space the fitness function of each algorithm is observed and it is considered as maximization objective in the proposed method. Furthermore, the complexity of AR/VR models in real time detection process is detected and it is realistic that high complex detections are converted to simple detections. In the comparative analysis of three algorithms ACO proves to be much better as errors are minimized with maximization of fitness function.

In microgrids, residential customers play a significant part in the operation. An alternative to client administration should be to utilize smart houses to deal with demand and implement demand responsiveness measures. A power generation and electricity storage device (PGESD) for next-generation technologies is proposed in this article. The current research provides an intelligent home load control system that promotes reaction to demand thinking about this circumstance. The technology is adapted to scenarios where users can charge fluctuating electric power and transmit microgeneration devices. The suggested system utilizes deep learning technology and a fuzzy logic model for better computation and lesser complexity. The choice process involves monitoring environmental information, power production, and battery storage. This article proposes a next-generation power generation and electricity storage device (PGESD). To create Smart Buildings and Microgrids, the proposed system employs technologies and techniques that have become increasingly important. With a precision and accuracy ratio of 89% and 92%, respectively, the proposed PGESD method yields precise numerical results.

Purpose: In the contemporary era, a significant number of individuals encounter various health issues, including digestive system ailments, even during their advanced years. The major purpose of this study is based on certain observations that are made in internal digestive systems in order to prevent severe cause that usually occurs in elderly people.Approach: To solve the purpose of the proposed method the proposed system is introduced with advanced features and parametric monitoring system that are based on wireless sensor setups. The parametric monitoring system is integrated with neural network where certain control actions are taken to prevent gastrointestinal activities at reduced data loss.Results: The outcome of the combined process is examined based on four different cases that is designed based on analytical model where control parameters and weight establishments are also determined. As the internal digestive system is monitored the data loss that is present with wireless sensor network must be reduced and proposed approach prevents such data loss with an optimized value of 1.39%.Conclusion: Parametric cases were conducted to evaluate the efficacy of neural networks. The findings indicate a significantly higher effectiveness rate of approximately 68% when compared to the control cases.

Remote monitoring is the process that monitors and observes information from a distance utilizing sensors or electronic types of equipment. Remote monitoring is used in real-time applications like traffic, forest, military, shops, and hospitals to determine abnormal activities. Earlier research has done video processing methods based on computer vision techniques, but the computational complexity regarding time and memory is high. This paper designs and implements a novel Slow-Fast Convolution Neural Network (SF–CNN) to identify, detect, and classify abnormal behaviours from a surveillance video. The proposed CNN architecture learns the video frames automatically, obtains the most appropriate properties about various objects' behaviour from a large set of videos. The learning process of SF-CNN is carried out in two ways, such as slow learning and fast learning. The slow learning process is enabled when the frame rate is less, and the rapid learning process is enabled when the frame rate is high. Both the learning processes learn spatial and temporal information from the input video. Different objects, such as humans, vehicles, and animals, are detected and recognized according to their actions. All the videos have normal and abnormal activities that vary in various contexts. The proposed SF-CNN architecture provides an end-to-end solution to dealing with multiple constraints abnormal movements. The experiment is carried out on several benchmark datasets, and the performance of the SF-CNN architecture is evaluated. The proposed approach obtained 99.6% of accuracy, which is higher than the other existing techniques.

Over time, the use of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles)/drones has increased across several civil and military application domains. Such domains include real-time monitoring, remote sensing, wireless coverage in disaster areas, search and rescue, product delivery, surveillance, security, agriculture, civil infrastructure inspection, and the like. This rapid growth is opening doors to numerous opportunities and conveniences in everyday life. On the other hand, security and privacy concerns for unmanned aerial vehicles/drones are progressively increasing. With limited standardization and regulation of unmanned aerial vehicles/drones, security and privacy concerns are growing. This paper presents a brief analysis of unmanned aerial vehicle's/drones security and privacy-related concerns. The paper also presents countermeasures and recommendations to address such concerns. While laying out a brief survey of unmanned aerial vehicles/drones, the paper also provides readers with up-to-date information on existing regulations, classification, architecture, and communication methods. It also discusses application areas, vulnerabilities, existing countermeasures against different attacks, and related limitations. In the end, the paper concludes with a discussion on open research areas and recommendations on how the security and privacy of unmanned aerial vehicles can be improved.

Abstract Central management of electronic medical systems faces a major challenge because it requires trust in a single entity that cannot effectively protect files from unauthorized access or attacks. This challenge makes it difficult to provide some services in central electronic medical systems, such as file search and verification, although they are needed. This gap motivated us to develop a system based on blockchain that has several characteristics: decentralization, security, anonymity, immutability, and tamper-proof. The proposed system provides several services: storage, verification, and search. The system consists of a smart contract that connects to a decentralized user application through which users can transact with the system. In addition, the system uses an interplanetary file system (IPFS) and cloud computing to store patients’ data and files. Experimental results and system security analysis show that the system performs search and verification tasks securely and quickly through the network.

With the recent advancement in analytic techniques and the increasing generation of healthcare data, artificial intelligence (AI) is reinventing the healthcare system for tackling pandemics securely in smart cities. AI tools continue register numerous successes in major disease areas such as cancer, neurology and now in new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) detection. COVID-19 patients often experience several symptoms which include breathlessness, fever, cough, nausea, sore throat, blocked nose, runny nose, headache, muscle aches, and joint pains. This paper proposes an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that predicts the rate of likely survivals of COVID-19 suspected patients based on good immune system, exercises and age quantiles securely. Four algorithms (Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree and k-Nearest Neighbours (kNN)) were compared. We performed True Positive (TP) rate and False Positive (FP) rate analysis on both positive and negative covid patients data. The experimental results show that kNN, and Decision Tree both obtained a score of 99.30% while Naïve Bayes and Logistic Regression obtained 91.70% and 99.20%, respectively on TP rate for negative patients. For positive covid patients, Naïve Bayes outperformed other models with a score of 10.90%. On the other hand, Naïve Bayes obtained a score of 89.10% for FP rate for negative patients while Logistic Regression, kNN, and Decision Tree obtained scores of 93.90%, 93.90%, and 94.50%, respectively.

Despite the numerous and noticeable inherited gains of Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) in healthcare, its growth is being hindered by privacy and security challenges. Such issues require the utmost urgent attention to realize its full scale and efficient usage. There is a need to secure Health Information worldwide, regionally, and locally. To fully avail of the health services, it is crucial to put in place the demanded security practices for the prevention of security breaches and vulnerabilities. Hence, this research is deliberated on to provide requirement-oriented health information security using the Modular Encryption Standard (MES) based on the layered modeling of the security measures. The performance analysis shows that the proposed work excels, compared to other commonly used algorithms against the health information security at the MCC environment in terms of better performance and auxiliary qualitative security ensuring measures.

There has been a sharp increase in liver disease globally, and many people are dying without even knowing that they have it. As a result of its limited symptoms, it is extremely difficult to detect liver disease until the very last stage. In the event of early detection, patients can begin treatment earlier, thereby saving their lives. It has become increasingly popular to use ensemble learning algorithms since they perform better than traditional machine learning algorithms. In this context, this paper proposes a novel architecture based on ensemble learning and enhanced preprocessing to predict liver disease using the Indian Liver Patient Dataset (ILPD). Six ensemble learning algorithms are applied to the ILPD, and their results are compared to those obtained with existing studies. The proposed model uses several data preprocessing methods, such as data balancing, feature scaling, and feature selection, to improve the accuracy with appropriate imputations. Multivariate imputation is applied to fill in missing values. On skewed columns, log1p transformation was applied, along with standardization, min–max scaling, maximum absolute scaling, and robust scaling techniques. The selection of features is carried out based on several methods including univariate selection, feature importance, and correlation matrix. These enhanced preprocessed data are trained on Gradient boosting, XGBoost, Bagging, Random Forest, Extra Tree, and Stacking ensemble learning algorithms. The results of the six models were compared with each other, as well as with the models used in other research works. The proposed model using extra tree classifier and random forest, outperformed the other methods with the highest testing accuracy of 91.82% and 86.06%, respectively, portraying our method as a real-world solution for detecting liver disease.

The overall effectiveness of a website as an e-commerce platform is influenced by how usable it is. This study aimed to find out if advanced web metrics, derived from Google Analytics software, could be used to evaluate the overall usability of e-commerce sites and identify potential usability issues. It is simple to gather web indicators, but processing and interpretation take time. This data is produced through several digital channels, including mobile. Big data has proven to be very helpful in a variety of online platforms, including social networking and e-commerce websites, etc. The sheer amount of data that needs to be processed and assessed to be useful is one of the main issues with e-commerce today as a result of the digital revolution. Additionally, on social media a crucial growth strategy for e-commerce is the usage of BDA capabilities as a guideline to boost sales and draw clients for suppliers. In this paper, we have used the KMP algorithm-based multivariate pruning method for web-based web index searching and different web analytics algorithm with machine learning classifiers to achieve patterns from transactional data gathered from e-commerce websites. Moreover, through the use of log-based transactional data, the research presented in this paper suggests a new machine learning-based evaluation method for evaluating the usability of e-commerce websites. To identify the underlying relationship between the overall usability of the eLearning system and its predictor factors, three machine learning techniques and multiple linear regressions are used to create prediction models. This strategy will lead the e-commerce industry to an economically profitable stage. This capability can assist a vendor in keeping track of customers and items they have viewed, as well as categorizing how customers use their e-commerce emporium so the vendor can cater to their specific needs. It has been proposed that machine learning models, by offering trustworthy prognoses, can aid in excellent usability. Such models might be incorporated into an online prognostic calculator or tool to help with treatment selection and possibly increase visibility. However, none of these models have been recommended for use in reusability because of concerns about the deployment of machine learning in e-commerce and technical issues. One problem with machine learning science that needs to be solved is explainability. For instance, let us say B is 10 and all the people in our population are even. The hash function’s behavior is not random since only buckets 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 can be the value of h(x). However, if B = 11, we would find that 1/11th of the even integers is transmitted to each of the 11 buckets. The hash function would work well in this situation.

There is a constant rise in the amount of data being copied or plagiarized because of the abundance of content and information freely available across the internet. Even though the systems try to check documents for the plagiarism, there have been trials to overcome these system checks. In this paper, the concept of character injection is used to trick plagiarism checker is presented. It is also showcased that how does the similarity check algorithms based on k-grams fail to detect the character injection. In order to eradicate the problem or error in similarity rates caused due to the problem of character injection, image processing based approach of multiple histogram projections are used. An application is developed to detect the character injection in the document and produce the accurate similarity rate. The results are shown with some test documents and the proposed method eliminates any kind of character injected in the document that tricks plagiarism. The proposed method has addressed the problem of character injection with image processing based changes in the existing methods of document-similarity check algorithms using k-grams. The proposed method can detect 100% injected character be it any alphabet of any language, The processing time for conversion, histogram projections and applying winnowing algorithm takes 1.2 sec per page on average when experimented on multiple types of document varying in size from 2 KB to 10 MB.

The study focuses on the artificial intelligence empowered road vehicle- train collision risk prediction assessment, which may lead to the development of a road vehicle-train collision avoidance system for unmanned railway level crossings. The study delimits itself around the road vehicle-train collisions at unmanned railway level crossings on single line rail-road sections. The first objective of the study revolves around the rail-road collision risk evaluation by the development of road vehicle-train collision frequency and severity prediction model using Poisson and Gamma-log regression techniques respectively. Another study objective is the collision modification factor implementation on predicted risk factors, to reduce the road vehicle-train collision risk at the crossings. The collision risk has been predicted to be 3.52 times higher and 77% lower in one direction while in other directions it is 2.95 times higher and 80% lower than average risk at all unmanned railway level crossings. With collision modification factor application on higher risk contributing factors i.e. `crossing angle' and `train visibility, it predicts to reduce the road vehicle-train collision risk to 85% approximately.

Recent studies have shown that robust diets recommended to patients by Dietician or an Artificial Intelligent automated medical diet based cloud system can increase longevity, protect against further disease, and improve the overall quality of life. However, medical personnel are yet to fully understand patient-dietician's rationale of recommender system. This paper proposes a deep learning solution for health base medical dataset that automatically detects which food should be given to which patient base on the disease and other features like age, gender, weight, calories, protein, fat, sodium, fiber, cholesterol. This research framework is focused on implementing both machine and deep learning algorithms like, logistic regression, naive bayes, Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The medical dataset collected through the internet and hospitals consists of 30 patient's data with 13 features of different diseases and 1000 products. Product section has 8 features set. The features of these IoMT data were analyzed and further encoded before applying deep and machine and learning-based protocols. The performance of various machine learning and deep learning techniques was carried and the result proves that LSTM technique performs better than other scheme with respect to forecasting accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-measures. We achieved 97.74% accuracy using LSTM deep learning model. Similarly 98% precision, 99% recall and 99% F1-measure for allowed class is achieved, and for not-allowed class precision is 89%, recall score is 73% and F1 Measure score is 80%.

The distributed cooperative offloading technique with wireless setting and power transmission provides a possible solution to meet the requirements of next-generation Multi-access Edge Computation (MEC). MEC is a model which avails cloud computing the aptitude to smoothly compute data at the edge of a largely dense network and in nearness to smart communicating devices (SCDs). This paper presents a cooperative offloading technique based on the Lagrangian Suboptimal Convergent Computation Offloading Algorithm (LSCCOA) for multi-access MEC in a distributed Internet of Things (IoT) network. A computational competition of the SCDs for limited resources which tends to obstructs smooth task offloading for MEC in an IoT high demand network is considered. The proposed suboptimal computational algorithm is implemented to perform task offloading which is optimized at the cloud edge server without relocating it to the centralized network. These resulted in a minimized weighted sum of transmit power consumption and outputs as a mixed-integer optimization problem. Also, the derived fast-convergent suboptimal algorithm is implemented to resolve the non-deterministic polynomial-time (NP)-hard problem. In conclusion, simulation results are performed to prove that the proposed algorithm substantially outperforms recent techniques with regards to energy efficiency, energy consumption reduction, throughput, and transmission delay performance.

Cyber-attacks are evolving at a disturbing rate. Data breaches, ransomware attacks, crypto-jacking, malware and phishing attacks are now rampant. In this era of cyber warfare, the software industry is also growing with an increasing number of software being used in all domains of life. This evolution has added to the problems of software vendors and users where they have to prevent a wide range of attacks. Existing watermark detection solutions have a low detection rate in the software. In order to address this issue, this paper proposes a novel blind Zero code based Watermark detection approach named KeySplitWatermark, for the protection of software against cyber-attacks. The algorithm adds watermark logically into the code utilizing the inherent properties of code and gives a robust solution. The embedding algorithm uses keywords to make segments of the code to produce a key-dependent on the watermark. The extraction algorithms use this key to remove watermark and detect tampering. When tampering increases to a certain user-defined threshold, the original software code is restored making it resilient against attacks. KeySplitWatermark is evaluated on tampering attacks on three unique samples with two distinct watermarks. The outcomes show that the proposed approach reports promising results against cyber-attacks that are powerful and viable. We compared the performance of our proposal with state-of-the-art works using two different software codes. Our results depict that KeySplitWatermark correctly detects watermarks, resulting in up to 15.95 and 17.43 percent reduction in execution time on given code samples with no increase in program size and independent of watermark size.

In most maternity hospitals, an ultrasound scan in the mid-trimester is now a standard element of antenatal care. More fetal abnormalities are being detected in scans as technology advances and ability improves. Fetal anomalies are developmental abnormalities in a fetus that arise during pregnancy, birth defects and congenital abnormalities are related terms. Fetal abnormalities have been commonly observed in industrialized countries over the previous few decades. Three out of every 1000 pregnant mothers suffer a fetal anomaly. This research work proposes an Adaptive Stochastic Gradient Descent Algorithm to evaluate the risk of fetal abnormality. Findings of this work suggest that proposed innovative method can successfully classify the anomalies linked with nuchal translucency thickening. Parameters such an accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score are analyzed. The accuracy achieved through the suggested technique is 98.642.%.

The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is a new paradigm for vehicular networks. Using diverse access methods, IoV enables vehicles to connect with their surroundings. However, without data security, IoV settings might be hazardous. Because of the IoV’s openness and self-organization, they are prone to malevolent attack. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a revolutionary blockchain-enabled game theory-based authentication mechanism for securing IoVs. Here, a three layer multi-trusted authorization solution is provided in which authentication of vehicles can be performed from initial entry to movement into different trusted authorities’ areas without any delay by the use of Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) in the beginning and later through duel gaming, and a dynamic Proof-of-Work (dPoW) consensus mechanism. Formal and informal security analyses justify the framework’s credibility in more depth with mathematical proofs. A rigorous comparative study demonstrates that the suggested framework achieves greater security and functionality characteristics and provides lower transaction and computation overhead than many of the available solutions so far. However, these solutions never considered the prime concerns of physical cloning and side-channel attacks. However, the framework in this paper is capable of handling them along with all the other security attacks the previous work can handle. Finally, the suggested framework has been subjected to a blockchain implementation to demonstrate its efficacy with duel gaming to achieve authentication in addition to its capability of using lower burdened blockchain at the physical layer, which current blockchain-based authentication models for IoVs do not support.

With the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile healthcare applications can now offer a variety of dimensionalities and online services. Disease Prediction Systems (DPS) increase the speed and accuracy of diagnosis, improving the quality of healthcare services. However, privacy is garnering an increasing amount of attention these days, especially concerning personal healthcare data, which are sensitive. There are a variety of prevailing privacy preservation techniques for disease prediction that are rendered. Nonetheless, there is a chance of medical users being affected by numerous disparate diseases. Therefore, it is vital to consider multi-label instances, which might decrease the accuracy. Thus, this paper proposes an efficient privacy-preserving (PP) scheme for patient healthcare data collected from IoT devices aimed at disease prediction in the modern Health Care System (HCS). The proposed system utilizes the Log of Round value-based Elliptic Curve Cryptography (LR-ECC) to enhance the security level during data transfer after the initial authentication phase. The authorized healthcare staff can securely download the patient data on the hospital side. Utilizing the Herding Genetic Algorithm-based Deep Learning Neural Network (EHGA-DLNN) can test these data with the trained system to predict the diseases. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach improves prediction accuracy, privacy, and security compared to the existing methods.

Integration of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in wireless infrastructure, real-time collection, and processing of end-user devices is now in high demand. It is now superlative to use AI to detect and predict pandemics of a colossal nature. The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, which originated in Wuhan China, has had disastrous effects on the global community and has overburdened advanced healthcare systems throughout the world. Globally; over 4,063,525 confirmed cases and 282,244 deaths have been recorded as of 11th May 2020, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control agency. However, the current rapid and exponential rise in the number of patients has necessitated efficient and quick prediction of the possible outcome of an infected patient for appropriate treatment using AI techniques. This paper proposes a fine-tuned Random Forest model boosted by the AdaBoost algorithm. The model uses the COVID-19 patient's geographical, travel, health, and demographic data to predict the severity of the case and the possible outcome, recovery, or death. The model has an accuracy of 94% and a F1 Score of 0.86 on the dataset used. The data analysis reveals a positive correlation between patients' gender and deaths, and also indicates that the majority of patients are aged between 20 and 70 years.

Recent studies have shown the rapid adoption of digital health software applications worldwide. However, researchers are yet to fully understand users' rationale of eHealth systems. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to analyze user attitudes to eHealth applications in China and eHealth system in Ukraine, and then provide insights and suggestions to the development of an eHealth application (eZdorovya) for health information services in general. This study includes a survey conducted by Chinese and Ukrainian users, after which thorough data analyses were conducted. Based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), this research framework explores the influence of socio-technical factors affecting user's adoption of eHealth functionalities. Serial Multiple Mediator Model 6 (SMMM6) and a deep neural network-based approach were used to analyze the eHealth software users' rationale with the sample size of survey 236 end-users from China and 124 end-users from Ukraine. The key findings from the data analysis are: 1) if the software application is covering an important service function and is interesting to use, Chinese users will continue using it, 2) given an eHealth software with important or interesting function, it is inconclusive whether Ukrainian users will switch to use the application, and 3) deep neural network shows highly accurate prediction results and was given applied suggestions for Chinese and Ukrainian providers in the case of improving eHealth systems based on a raw prediction.

This research presents an improved mobile inverted pendulum robot called Two-wheeled Self-balancing robot (TWSBR) using a Proportional-Derivative Proportional-Integral (PD-PI) robust control design based on 32-bit microcontroller in a sensed environment (SE). The robot keeps itself balance with two wheels and a PD-PI controller based on the Kalman filter algorithm during the navigation process and is able to stabilize while avoiding acute and dynamic obstacles in the sensed environment. The Proportional (P) control is used to implement turn control for obstacle avoidance in SE with ultrasonic waves. Finally, in a SE, the robot can communicate with any of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices (mobile phone or Personal Computer) which have a Java-based transmission application installed and through Bluetooth technology connectivity for wireless control. The simulation results prove the efficiency of the proposed PD-PI controller in path planning, and balancing challenges of the TWSBR under several environmental disturbances. This shows an improved control system as compared to the existing improved Adaptive Fuzzy Controller.

Classification of imbalanced data is a vastly explored issue of the last and present decade and still keeps the same importance because data are an essential term today and it becomes crucial when data are distributed into several classes. The term imbalance refers to uneven distribution of data into classes that severely affects the performance of traditional classifiers, that is, classifiers become biased toward the class having larger amount of data. The data generated from wireless sensor networks will have several imbalances. This review article is a decent analysis of imbalance issue for wireless sensor networks and other application domains, which will help the community to understand WHAT, WHY, and WHEN of imbalance in data and its remedies.

The functionality of the Internet is continually changing from the Internet of Computers (IoC) to the “Internet of Things (IoT)”. Most connected systems, called Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), are formed from the integration of numerous features such as humans and the physical environment, smart objects, and embedded devices and infrastructure. There are a few critical problems, such as security risks and ethical issues that could affect the IoT and CPS. When every piece of data and device is connected and obtainable on the network, hackers can obtain it and utilise it for different scams. In medical healthcare IoT-CPS, everyday medical and physical data of a patient may be gathered through wearable sensors. This paper proposes an AI-enabled IoT-CPS which doctors can utilise to discover diseases in patients based on AI. AI was created to find a few disorders such as Diabetes, Heart disease and Gait disturbances. Each disease has various symptoms among patients or elderly. Dataset is retrieved from the Kaggle repository to execute AI-enabled IoT-CPS technology. For the classification, AI-enabled IoT-CPS Algorithm is used to discover diseases. The experimental results demonstrate that compared with existing algorithms, the proposed AI-enabled IoT-CPS algorithm detects patient diseases and fall events in elderly more efficiently in terms of Accuracy, Precision, Recall and F-measure.

Sybil security threat in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) has attracted much attention in recent times. The attacker introduces malicious nodes with multiple identities. As the roadside unit fails to synchronize its clock with legitimate vehicles, unintended vehicles are identified, and therefore erroneous messages will be sent to them. This paper proposes a novel biologically inspired spider-monkey time synchronization technique for large-scale VANETs to boost packet delivery time synchronization at minimized energy consumption. The proposed technique is based on the metaheuristic stimulated framework approach by the natural spider-monkey behavior. An artificial spider-monkey technique is used to examine the Sybil attacking strategies on VANETs to predict the number of vehicular collisions in a densely deployed challenge zone. Furthermore, this paper proposes the pseudocode algorithm randomly distributed for energy-efficient time synchronization in two-way packet delivery scenarios to evaluate the clock offset and the propagation delay in transmitting the packet beacon message to destination vehicles correctly. The performances of the proposed technique are compared with existing protocols. It performs better over long transmission distances for the detection of Sybil in dynamic VANETs' system in terms of measurement precision, intrusion detection rate, and energy efficiency.

A technological evolution in digital electronics gives birth to micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). This evolution generates drastic change in the field of micro-sensors. Micro-sensors are advanced in capabilities of low-cost, less energy consumption, self-configurable, work on heterogeneous environment and highly reliable. A way to work efficiently automated systems are relying on sensor backbone known as routing protocols. The routing protocols is key whosefunctionality provides a better usability of a system in effective and efficient way. In this paper, we have focused on categories of routing protocols based on required applications. The main idea of this survey to present the applicability of sensor routing protocols in various indoor and outdoor applications.

In recent times, security and privacy at the physical (PHY) layer has been a major issue of several communication technologies which comprise the internet of things (IoT) and mostly, the emerging fifth-generation (5G) cellular network. The most real-world PHY security challenge stems from the fact that the passive eavesdropper’s information is unavailable to the genuine source and destination (transmitter/receiver) nodes in the network. Without this information, it is difficult to optimize the broadcasting parameters. Therefore, in this research, we propose an efficient sequential convex estimation optimization (SCEO) algorithm to mitigate this challenge and improve the security of physical layer (PHY) in a three-node wireless communication network. The results of our experiments indicate that by using the SCEO algorithm, an optimal performance and enhanced convergence is achieved in the transmission. However, considering possible security challenges envisaged when a multiple eavesdropper is active in a network, we expanded our research to develop a swift privacy rate optimization algorithm for a multiple-input, multiple-output, multiple-eavesdropper (MIMOME) scenario as it is applicable to security in IoT and 5G technologies. The result of the investigation show that the algorithm executes significantly with minimal complexity when compared with nonoptimal parameters. We further employed the use of rate constraint together with self-interference of the full-duplex transmission at the receiving node, which makes the performance of our technique outstanding when compared with previous studies.

Recognizing human physical activities from streaming smartphone sensor readings is essential for the successful realization of a smart environment. Physical activity recognition is one of the active research topics to provide users the adaptive services using smart devices. Existing physical activity recognition methods lack in providing fast and accurate recognition of activities. This paper proposes an approach to recognize physical activities using only2-axes of the smartphone accelerometer sensor. It also investigates the effectiveness and contribution of each axis of the accelerometer in the recognition of physical activities. To implement our approach, data of daily life activities are collected labeled using the accelerometer from 12 participants. Furthermore, three machine learning classifiers are implemented to train the model on the collected dataset and in predicting the activities. Our proposed approach provides more promising results compared to the existing techniques and presents a strong rationale behind the effectiveness and contribution of each axis of an accelerometer for activity recognition. To ensure the reliability of the model, we evaluate the proposed approach and observations on standard publicly available dataset WISDM also and provide a comparative analysis with state-of-the-art studies. The proposed approach achieved 93% weighted accuracy with Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) classifier, which is almost 13% higher than the existing methods.

The pursuit to spot abnormal behaviors in and out of a network system is what led to a system known as intrusion detection systems for soft computing besides many researchers have applied machine learning around this area. Obviously, a single classifier alone in the classifications seems impossible to control network intruders. This limitation is what led us to perform dimensionality reduction by means of correlation-based feature selection approach (CFS approach) in addition to a refined ensemble model. The paper aims to improve the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) by proposing a CFS + Ensemble Classifiers (Bagging and Adaboost) which has high accuracy, high packet detection rate, and low false alarm rate. Machine Learning Ensemble Models with base classifiers (J48, Random Forest, and Reptree) were built. Binary classification, as well as Multiclass classification for KDD99 and NSLKDD datasets, was done while all the attacks were named as an anomaly and normal traffic. Class labels consisted of five major attacks, namely Denial of Service (DoS), Probe, User-to-Root (U2R), Root to Local attacks (R2L), and Normal class attacks. Results from the experiment showed that our proposed model produces 0 false alarm rate (FAR) and 99.90% detection rate (DR) for the KDD99 dataset, and 0.5% FAR and 98.60% DR for NSLKDD dataset when working with 6 and 13 selected features.

The world population is expected to grow by another two billion in 2050, according to the survey taken by the Food and Agriculture Organization, while the arable area is likely to grow only by 5%. Therefore, smart and efficient farming techniques are necessary to improve agriculture productivity. Agriculture land suitability assessment is one of the essential tools for agriculture development. Several new technologies and innovations are being implemented in agriculture as an alternative to collect and process farm information. The rapid development of wireless sensor networks has triggered the design of low-cost and small sensor devices with the Internet of Things (IoT) empowered as a feasible tool for automating and decision-making in the domain of agriculture. This research proposes an expert system by integrating sensor networks with Artificial Intelligence systems such as neural networks and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) for the assessment of agriculture land suitability. This proposed system will help the farmers to assess the agriculture land for cultivation in terms of four decision classes, namely more suitable, suitable, moderately suitable, and unsuitable. This assessment is determined based on the input collected from the various sensor devices, which are used for training the system. The results obtained using MLP with four hidden layers is found to be effective for the multiclass classification system when compared to the other existing model. This trained model will be used for evaluating future assessments and classifying the land after every cultivation.
